I'm here to support Kitiwhut Sawutdimilin "Newyear". I'm here to support a gay man interpreting a gay character, because maybe y'all don't know, but for mostly thai BL dramas directors is a requisite to be straight to get gay characters roles.

Newyear (the one who interprets Pond, the main character of this series) auditioned for 2 Moons The Series (also a BL thai series) Wayo's role, and was rejected because he's wasn't "manly" enough. 2 Moons The Series director said that all the six gay men characters of 2Moons The Series MUST be interpreted by straight men.

I know maybe this isn't the best BL drama, not the best plot, characters lack in depht, we all know that. But i think it's pretty entertaining to watch, It's a cute boys love story, and although I know it isn't the best thing in the BL world, I can say I absolutely don't hate the 20 minutes per week I spend watching it. So well, that's all: I'm here to support Newyear, and all the others who also are amateur actors, I hope him to be able to get more thai dramas' roles in the future.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED, I WANT MORE

I love short series - if its good then your lucky, if its not then you wont feel like you wasted too much of your time. Im happy to say that this time I was pleasantly surprised with the whole series and i end up wishing there were more episodes cause i was intrigued and I wanted to see more.

There were things the show got right - from the execution of the simple plot, to the entire bunch of the cute and capable cast. There is also a perfect amount of titillation of the viewers.

Should you watch it? YES. Its just about 20 min long each (give or take the opening and end credits). Its just like watching a normal full length movie. I wished there was a continuation cause when it ended I waasnt ready to let go of them yet.

This show is a very "to each it's own" kind of show.
To me, I thought it wasn't as bad as people had said & I actually enjoyed it. Of course I wouldn't say that it's the best show in the world, but I definitely wouldn't say it's the worst. It had a lot of potential too. It seemed rather rushed as well but I guess that could be because they're apparently breaking them into seasons.

The overall story idea was very interesting to me, but the development was too quick. I found the chemistry to be pretty good but the acting wasn't always the greatest. (I still wouldn't say it was the worst.) I don't want to drop spoilers but I don't know how else to bring this up & I think it's an important scene to bring up to prove my point about something, but the scene where they're giving orders while playing the King game was probably one of my favorite scenes. Not because it got "steamy" (if you want to use those choice of words) but because it showed how comfortable they all were with each other.
With Newyear actually being gay in real life, I like that they all were still very okay with the touchy-feely scenes. That scene actually looked the most real to me. It looked as though they were all genuinely having a fun time joking around. Nothing about it seemed awkward or uncomfortable & I felt that was probably the most important scene to show them as actors & people.
Now outside of that scene, the acting seemed to digress a bit. However, I think it was more for all the less intimate scenes to be honest. BrightxAugust was the most interesting to me & I paid the most attention to them. I felt Mark (August) played his character very well & him & Best (Bright) had really good chemistry with each other.
Junho & Matt's scenes were a bit odd to me. More on an acting level though, Like they weren't the most comfortable together or they just couldn't completely figure out how to portray their characters. I really like their trailer-like episode for the next season though! It looks like it's going to get interesting so I'm quite excited for that.
New & Pound's scenes weren't as awkward as JunhoxMatt's scenes, but they weren't as great as BrightxAugust. Again, I really love the comfortableness they all have with Newyear, especially Kris since he played his love interest. I seen a lot of people dislike their storyline specifically because Newyear's love interest wasn't his real life boyfriend, Both. The thing is though, folks, is that Newyear is an actor. He won't get to have his real life partner play opposite of him all the time. But that doesn't mean that they would break up over it. I doubt Both was upset with any of it because as most partners of actors (should) understand is that acting is acting. Having a couple kiss scenes with another actor doesn't mean they'll fall in love & dump their current lovers. Despite having a boyfriend, I think Newyear still did really well as his character & I'm really proud of him for being able to land a role since he wasn't able to get the last role he tried to audition for because of his sexuality (which still makes no sense to me that he was refused the role of a gay character because he's actually gay, but whatever).

To avoid this review from being 14 pages long, I'll end it with a few more things. This show, in my opinion, isn't as bad as it might seem. Some might not like it, & that's completely okay, but I don't think you should be afraid to give this one a try if you're curious about it. People may say that you shouldn't waste your time, but I truly find it to be anything but a waste of time. I say you should try it out; there's only 5 episodes (so far because as of right now only season one is out) & they're each 25ish minutes so it won't be like you wasted a whole 10 hours of your life if you end up not enjoying it. & who knows, maybe they'll improve for season two! ?

I unexpectedly loved it!!

The reason I think I didn't watch the drama as soon as i saw it is because there is only 5 episodes and each episode is like 30 mins each. I personally don't like short dramas.

However ...

This drama doesn't only have a unique storyline but to me it actually feels more realistic if you know what I mean.

There are a lot of BL moments.
The story has a good pace to it.
All the characters are cute.
There is 'real' kissing
There is drama

In the end this drama made me realize don't decide to watch a drama based on reviews and the summary alone. Watch the first episode then decided.

Confusion

This series was lighthearted but it was also a total mess. As much as I loved the concept, it was hard to understand any of it with the very poor screen time that was given. There were way too many couples. If we are only given five episodes, then this series only needed to show the main couple and not all the side ones. They were all rushed and underdeveloped that I really didn't care much for any of them besides Bright and August. I liked their story the most, and I would've rather just seen them with a well-developed story than other couples. I was so busy trying to remember who was who that I lost parts of the story. I won't shit on this show when it comes production-wise, since it was made in 2017, but gosh, did I hate the way this series was shot. Everywhere they went the setting was so minuscule and boring. Nothing about this series was very well put together, but I can't help but it was a coll watch.

Overall, I can't really hate this series. It was made in 2017, so for the content that is shown in this, it's pretty good. I wouldn't necessarily recommend a watch, especially since it's not needed to watch the second one.

I had a challenging time watching this film. The first episode was only partially captioned in English and none of the last episode was caption in the HD version. In the end, to get the full effect of the ending, I tiled windows and viewed the HD version with the captioning--in a second window--below. Still, although challenging, I did get the full effect of the ending--the full effect of the entire film--and am grateful that I was able to view it at all.

I'm surprised by my persistence, in fact. I didn't think the story would work at first. That wasn't enough for me to abandon it, though. I like to give a film a chance to pull me in, to take me wherever it wants me to go--each character's personality and past experiences, directorial decisions, dialog, and ultimately characters' feelings for each other--and this film pulled me in. So I persisted to watch it, all in one sitting, with some technology challenges, but fully absorbed by the characters and their experiences.

Four scenes stand out to me: first the party scene, where the boys get very playful and take risks, drunken, they wouldn't ordinarily take sober; second the preening scene with August in his wig and dress, calling himself Som, and preening Bright tenderly, getting him ready for his upcoming date with Som; Pond's risky confession to New in the cafe; and the tender scene between a heartbroken August and a love-torn Bright.

Allow the characters and their unexpected relationships pull you in, and let the relationship between Pond and New frame your overall viewing experience.

An early BL that proves to be a pleasant surprise

After finally being able to watch this series with good subs I can say that it is very underrated. The storyline is silly and the production had a tight budget, to say the least, but it's cute as hell and would hold up just fine compared to some more recent productions.

It's fun to watch these BL actors so early in their careers, too. (And it's nice to see that Best already has the lean-muscled physique that remains his trademark.) For a 2017 production it features a couple of surprisingly bold kisses -- the kind where the guys sample each other's lips a first time then decide to go in for hungry seconds.

The series follows three main couples, although one of the pairings is a little messy (no spoilers). My only complaint is that not everyone's situation is resolved at the end. Maybe they were leaving things open for a sequel, however the sequel that we eventually got turned out to be unrelated as well as far less enjoyable.

This was a very cute miniseries and I enjoyed it a lot. It had a decent amount of scenes that made my heart race, along with some well-placed conflict and intriguing drama. It all fit very well within the time allotted - it didn't feel like too much or too little, at least for the most part. The acting was great, the story was great. I was disappointed that the third pair was left very oddly unconcluded. Hopefully there will be a season 2 and that will be figured out! It is definitely a great watch, a few hours well-spent.

I was hesitant to watch this series as it's a little older and doesn't get the greatest reviews but I gave it a shot. That being said I thought it was okay. It wasn't a waste of my time and parts put a smile on my face which means it was worth the time. It's a short series which is nice. Not a high budget but production was adequate for a short series. The acting was fair. Chemistry between actors was okay given the actors seemed really young and was believable they were in high school. It was a bit hard to follow and the subtitles were spotty in places which made it harder to follow. Once I got the story line down it was a cute watch. The premise did allow for a better series to be developed but that's okay. I won't spoil the ending but I wasn't sad.

Short, Rushed, but Cute

I liked this short series, but my biggest complaint - it was too rushed.

The actors did a decent job with what they had to work with. Since this was from 2017, I wasn't expecting much, but at least there was only a focused story and not a lot of "noise" to fill in gaps, like in many other bl series. The ending was very abrupt and did not feel finished properly.

Still the boys feeling were complex and realistic to a point. I can say I have seen better, but I have also seen worse.

Just don't expect too much and you might enjoy it. No rewatch value. I gave it an 8 because I took into consideration how long ago this was made.

A bunch of cuties and little else

As with the sequel I like the premise that a simple game can create such dramatic changes in the lives of these 6 boys. All the boys are super cute and each charming in their own way. The chaos that ensues COULD have been dramatic and heart wrenching but due to the limited episodes it’s reduced to mere highlights that are (kinda) resolved quickly and easily.

I was sad that the heart of this series is to break up a seemingly happy couple. Obviously not that happy since New was secretly in love with Pond, but still they didn’t really exhibit any problems. But that’s a minor issue and one that is my own only.

Mark does such a nice job that his heartbreak felt realistic. But since I didn’t get to know the characters very well, I wasn’t as invested in their journeys. I wanted them all to find love but only because I’m a romantic, not because the series made them fully fleshed characters. I didn’t really feel any emotion from New or Pond.

The cross-dressing sequence was bizarre and a bit kinky but sweet and cute nonetheless.

Nothing truly memorable about this series but I would watch again since it’s short and the cast does a fine job.

A bit pllotless but a good way to spend time

During watching this i felt like i never knew which charachter was which. The charachters weren't too complex so it's good if you don't wanna get attached to the show. The story isn't too attention catching either, high likely won't watch the season 2.
If you've seen the trailer, it could've caught your eye but if you actually wanna love/pay attention to a show the this isn't for you since it might be a bit og a waste of time, but it depends one the person watching it tho. Other than there isn!t much to be said about this drama.
