And noone has to agree.
First off let me start with all the positives of the drama.
1, Even though he is young I love Allen Deng's Acting--he is very versatile and is good a being funny, annoying and serious when he has to be. He is adorable to look at for sure, so if you like him watch the drama.
2. Dilabra is also a good actress-she's adorable and she plays the character well. I hate her whining and her crying but overall i didn't let that bother me. If you like her than watch the drama.
3. Some of the other actors are very good.
4. The story line starts out great ends up dragging and no surprise from reading other reviews they rush the ending (i haven't seen the ending yet.
The negatives
1. I know that QiQi is in love with Bo Hai but could you at least acknowledge that MO Nan was in love with you? I mean the poor kid got his heart broken time after time. Annoying
2. I don't like the fact that Bo Hai and QiQi constantly seesaw dude you like QiQi and you have PTSD or trauma from your childhood see a psychologist but it literal comes off as him being a narcissist, also he comes off as a gaslighter some of the times.
3. the story line starts off strong but by episode 20 you can already see the story line go to the crapper. It drags and makes the poor girl a desperate girl who can't get another guy.
4. I have to watch it to the end as I don't like to not know what will happen but I would never watch this again.

If you disagree that's totally fine. But this is just my opinion.

Ok. I’ll admit that I started this show because of Dilraba. I had just finished Eternal Love and couldn’t get enough of any of those spectacular characters. I was pleasantly surprised to find Deng Lun playing the male lead and what a fabulous job he did.

STORY:
The story is of Ling Ling Qi (a veterinarian by education) who falls in love with a TV personality Bo Hai (Deng Lun) who owns a florist corporation. The two are linked by a faulty sleep bracelet which causes their dreams to intermix – clearly the best part of the entire show. Ling Qi (played by Dilraba) finally gets hired by Bo Hai’s company and proceeds to chase him, then be horribly disappointed by him……hijinks ensue aided by her good friends Lu Bao Ni and Mo Nan. There is a bad guy named William and a nasty female character named Zhou Xin Yan (played by Eternal Love’s Bambi Zhu) that is more annoying as a conniving female in this show than in Eternal Love.

CHARACTERS:
There are 48 episodes and plenty of time to flush out all the characters which they do….but none are exciting in the least. Dilraba is still breathy and slightly whiny but I find her character interesting because she doesn’t stay the same for all 48 episodes and same goes with Deng Lun’s Bo Hai. After watching him in Ashes of Love, I just love him…..if you liked Ashes of Love, this is a good watch…..less stressful but plenty of Deng Lun screen time with a reasonable ending and a tremendous wardrobe.

Mo Nan and Bao Ni were likely the most tortured of all the characters and Chen Yi Long and Wang Rui Zi did a splendid job portraying one half of the lover’s square (not triangle because there were 4 people that made up that sad situation).

By far, Chen Mo played by Zhang Hao Wei was my favorite character as the right-hand man to Bo Hai and love interest to Xin Yan. He was funny and engaging and a superb comic foil to the seriousness of Bo Hai’s character and the lame evil machinations of Xin Yan. When the love story between Ling Qi and Bo Hai dragged a bit, he could be counted on to keep the show lively. I especially loved the situations when he and Ling Qi conspired together.

MUSIC:
Deng Lun sang one of the songs and he did a great job (bias: I love his song from Ashes of Love too), but truth be told, I didn’t download this song like I did his Ashes of Love one. The rest of the music was forgettable and happily not annoying as some songs can be overused in dramas.

OVERALL:
I wrote an article about how this show is a good one to watch to detox and relax and I still believe it. Deng Lun and Dilraba are interesting (especially those dream sequences) and the supporting characters are appropriately tormented enough to keep me entertained but not overwhelmed with emotion. Watch this when you need a break from other Chinese dramas like Ashes of Love or Eternal Love or Legend of Fu Yao. Your brain and your heart will appreciate the respite.

Deng Reba

I watch this drama 3 years after it's broadcast. How could I miss this?.. Deng Lun Ashes of Love brought me to this sweet dreams.Pair with dilraba, what can go wrong. For me they have a great chemistry. The story is great. A little bit comedic, Deng Lun as Bo hai always make me smile while I watch this.48 ep.. Yes.. For some it's too long to watch but the combination of DengReba make me stick over and over again.
It's also funny when the storyline has some similarity with Ashes Of Love. Fire immortal Xu Feng is afraid of fire as Bo hai. He also suffered colour blindness like Jin Mi. And flower is also involved.
Overall..this is a good drama to watch.and definitely worth your time.I already watch it many times and never get bored.wish Deng Lun and Dilraba will meet again in other drama. Coz I just love see them together.

POTETE LEGGERE LA RECENSIONE IN ITALIANO NEL BLOG PAPER PURRR

What about Sweet Dreams? It was a crescendo of emotions. My first impression of Ling Ling Qi was: This is crazy. But mad in a sweet sense. It is a bomb, full of energy, tenacity and love.
You have Bo Hai, the most famous florist in China, as your idol. While the other girls have heart-shaped eyes for actors and singers, she has been conquered by the power of flowers.
And what better occasion if not to try to enter the Flower Plus?
It will be really exhausting for Qi Qi to receive a yes, will try again and again to enter for years! I would have given up earlier, but when she has a goal clear, nobody takes it away. Solar to the nth degree, it will succeed and break the impenetrable armor of Bo Hai.
And it is precisely on him that we see the change during the Drama, while Qi Qi will know the power of sacrifice and suffering, Bo Hai will slowly break down the wall that he has placed between him and the world, proving to be a wonderful person.
When we meet him for the first time we see that "what appears" to others and "what really is" are the opposites of a medal. Qi Qi had a clear idea about Bo Hai, he believed him a generous gentleman. Try to imagine how she felt when instead she found herself in front of a grumpy and haughty head of a company of flowers.
But fate has very special plans for them!
Without knowing it, in fact, both took a new bracelet, whose job is to reconcile sleep. Too bad that their bracelets have come into contact, so the two often meet during their dreams.
And get ready here, because you will have a great time!
But like any drama, the villain is upon us! If you do not suffer, you are not happy.
There are many people who want to ruin the Flower Plus, jealous and eager to destroy the Bo Hai empire.
And this is where the story will focus ... The tears? They are insured, especially towards the end, where I advise you to keep your handkerchiefs handy.
Here too, the ending is a half disaster! There is a temporal hole that is not explained to us ... so as always we are left open-mouthed with a million questions that will not be answered.
Sweet Dreams is a sweet and sometimes bitter drama, which not only speaks of love, but also of family, values, friendship and loyalty. Of revenge, but it teaches that forgiveness and listening are much better.
Highly recommended! Besides, Deng Lun (Bo Hai) is really a very good singer!

Good plot but too long episodes

The concept of this drama is nice. There is a good storyline, excellent acting, side characters are superb, but it is too long. Literally, there are episodes that are unnecessary. The story several times deviated from the mainline and that's too annoying. Like literally it didn't even follow the proper chemistry of the lead till the last episode. They were separated way too much, and it really made me drop the drama several times.

really disappointed with the number of draggy episodes. I am really disappointed. Like seriously what's wrong with the main lead? Why can't he express his love to her till episode 35, when he clearly knows he loves her. Thank god there was no stupid love triangle, or at least it didn't bother that much.

DENG LUN AND DILRABA CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING

Not only their visual, their acting is just superbb!! I always get shy and smile like an idiot whenever Denglun and Dilraba get interact. They were so natural and like a real couple! I cry a lot when they have to separate. It HURTS!! But I am happy they got a happy ending in the end.
Deng Lun is totally a dream boyfriend in drama and I like his character, so charismatic yet soooo cute and romantic❤️❤️
Dilraba completed Denglun's acting, she is so pretty and cute, she really match DL visual in here.
Actually I kinda hate the last episode, it's like very odd, Bohai got an accident but there's no a story to tell how he survive in that accident, it's like a missing piece of something, but well I still enjoy the drama a loooooott thanks to DL's acting and his face! DAMN IT SO HANDSOME!

tldr; first couple episodes are a little cringey, but then funny and enjoyable until the last third of the drama

If you're looking for a fun and sweet modern drama then Sweet Dreams is worth a shot. It starts off a little cringey and I had to skip through the dreams, but a few episodes in the dreams become more entertaining. This drama made me laugh out loud constantly. I like Deng Lun and Dilreba a lot individually, and I found them to be a good pairing and they both have a sweet/cute look that fit the drama perfectly. I absolutely loved Bao Ni and Chen Mo, the loyal friends. The breakout star in this drama was Chen Yi Long as Mo Nan (also, those cheekbones!!) and I hope to see him in more dramas and as the lead.

However, in terms of the plot, Sweet Dreams takes a turn for the worse from episode 33 onwards - the entire last third. It falls into a mess of cliches and repetitive storylines, and revelations that could have strengthened the plot felt poorly utilized. The final episode was especially disappointing, and I just can't understand why the writers chose to end it like that. There are two characters who ally together towards the end and I wish that would have happened sooner so their relationship could have been developed more.

I felt all the emotions in this drama!

Wow, I hardly watch modern dramas (maybe I should start). This one was so cute, aggravating, exciting, sad and romantic. I felt all the emotions while watching this drama. I was up at 3am binge-watching this (even though I worked the following day LOL). I'm a fan of Dilireba & Deng Lun, and seen their later work, and will add this drama to the list of LOVES! - I scanned the comments under this drama, and found a lot of people DIDN'T like this drama, not sure why. I found myself skipping different parts around episode 43-45, but the rest of it. I liked it. I even liked that they had thrown in anime influences, as well as ancient/costume drama influences (in the dreams).

Story/Plot: I loved the plot that Qi Qi who is a silly/naive/crazy girl who was heartbroken, then starts obsessing over her "idol" Bo Hai. Qi Qi ends up signing up to be a participant in a sleep study, and her bracelet malfunctions allowing her to enter Bo Hai's dreams - where she shows off her imaginative side. Due to her obsession, she gives up her hard work of being a vet to pursue a career as a florist just to get closer to him. She is very personable and imaginative, compared to Bo Hai who is an introvert and awkward. Qi Qi has been trying to gain entrance as a florist to "Flower Plus" for three years, and has failed each time due to Bo Hai's friend Xin Yan (who has a crush on him). She ends up being hired as a salesperson, in which she shows off her skills and ends up being Bo Hai's assistant. The two somehow make it work because they slowly fall in (and out) of love with each other. This drama's "love story" was one of the best I've seen in a while. Qi Qi starts off as crazy fan girl, then backs off, but then slowly you see Bo Hai letting down his guard. Once the two begin "dating" it's SO CUTE. Every time they kissed in this drama, I couldn't help but cheese for Qi Qi! Of course, this drama also displayed a lot of heartbreak as well. Bo Hai had abandonment issues, and his enemy (Qi Qi's bestie Mo Nan) used this weakness to plot against him. Qi Qi ends being used as the sword that breaks Bo Hai and causes him to relive his trauma
Acting: I loved it. I thought Dilireba and Deng Lun pair-up was fantastic. Their kiss scenes were not as bland as other c-drama kiss scenes I've seen. I mean, I wish she gave this much effort with Vengo in Eternal Love 2! I love all of our supporting actors in here, even the minor support cast. Bo Hai's besties are a hoot, and I'm glad they end up falling for each other. Qi Qi's bestie Baoni and Mo Nan, I wish it mentioned if they got together or not. Qi Qi's parents are also so funny and a great comedic relief. Her mom is constantly gossiping with the neighbors, and always trying to find Qi Qi a rich man. I love that they were also so welcoming to Mo Nan even after he was exposed as doing so many shiesty things.

Overall, I'd watch this again. I really liked the scenes between Dilireba and Deng Lun, especially after they fall for each other. It was so romantic and lovey-dovey. I want to see more dramas with them together!

Aiyo! Literally the girl of your dreams!

So to all those wondering whether to waste your time on this drama or not becuz of its low rating and why i gave such a high rating. Pls read on and review the product!
This drama is crazy. It is an ALL-IN-ONE combo. Let me present:
-The arrogant yet cute and hard outside but soft inside ML
-The stupid yet talented FL who is misunderstood but still grows stronger
-Two crazy 2Ls who use underhand and dirty tricks but still forgiven and r nice
-Two bffs who r literally the best characters onscreen
-Funny side characters
-Absolute sh*t villain
Not only that but misunderstanding and clichès and crazy stuff and plots and over the top dramatic comedy that will make u laugh when u say lmao or at least try to say and too much romance scenes that will make u pity ur single ass lonely life and real long sad scenes that make u pity yourself and the person acting.

The plot is too far fetched like i said but u would wanna see it becuz even clichè are good to see and smirk abt. You can skip some scenes with no problem if u find it too draggy (Plus point). But the name of the drama, dude the dreams were literally useless until the end. The romance didnt need the dreams at all. Until the end the dreams were just and place to vent anger that the MLs couldnt express face to face.

The actors hv done an awesome act. Even though i started this drama becuz of Dilraba but i liked Allen more in this drama. Hey, that doesnt mean i dont like her acting. She is always a fav. CYL was a new face but damn sir that was some good acting. Bambi could hv stepped up her game but i liked it either ways. The Bffs were *chefs kiss* the ppl who made me see the whole show (and also the romance).

Overall i was pleased since none died and has a happy ending and the comedy and romance paved way to a high rating! So all good! Hope u like it like i do! Just try it no worry, be happy?

Far Better than Current Modern CDRAMAS, NEEDS A lil bit patience but worth giving one shot

This show needs more reviews in all honesty but this needs a Lil bit of patience to get in its groove. My biggest complaint is Mo Nan the second lead seems to have more Screen Time than Bo Hai. I mean really!! And also Xinyan is one irritating 1-D character without any goals except chasing the male lead. Special Mention to Actor playing Chen Mo his character is a sweetheart.

I liked the Second Half of the Series Better. It was Way More Interesting and Fast Paced.

Pros-Wonderful Actors with Excellent Chemistry. The Show if compared with a K drama is Almost the same duration 20 episodes 1.2 hours each. But the 37 min duration in each episode covers A lot of Plot Poinyts ESPECIALLY in the Second Half. Bo Hai and Qiqi Character Graphs were Awesome. And Bo Hai might be one of the sweetest BF one can ever have. I hope somewhere in future Deng Lun and Dilireba can work together in a different genre project.

The Actor Playing Monan was good as well , his expressions differentiating between Despicable and Lovely Monan were well done. Although he could improvise upon his crying portions. Chen Mo was excellent as well, His Comic Timings are awsome.

Dilireba shined in one of the most emotional scenes wherein Qiqi is trying to collect the pieces of BoHai's teared Poster, it made me cry buckets. The Last Few Episodes are Bingeworthy its so good. This show had Wuxia Xianxia Modern Dramas all in one which is unique in itself.

And for All those Who did not understand why did the Last Accident Happen. Uptil then it was a smooth transition. Please watch the last few episodes to know. I liked how they gave Mo Nan and Baoni an open ending, it is really not healthy for them to get together, atleast for the show timeline. I wished there was one more episode to explains BO Hai accident to Europe to DREAM Reality Proposal. This is the only part where it seemed the writer Trolled US. I loved how in the middle QIQI was courageous and Refused to giveup on BO Hai, because she could see through him, same for BO Hai, he gave up after a long battle but still Understood later on. This was a couple worth Rooting for!! Bo Hai-QIQI FTW.

CONS-Biggest Complain is MO NAN had more Screen Time than Deng Lun , I mean WHY? I could have done without his despicable monologues and Baoni foolish attempts at making him see sense. I mean Dear Monan got 25 min daily out of 40 minute show and rest were thankfully spared to main leads.

The First Half could have been Hugely Condensed, The Major part of Second Half was excellent. In C drama format they could have done a 25-30 episode arc, it would have been Much Better.

This Show due to the Long episode format seemed to suffer due to Personality Disorder. Wherein First half is Slow Sweet Dreams and Seond Half is Bitter Sweet Dreams?? The only loop hole in second half is Last episode 10 min summary , Man they needed atleast 15 more minutes for smooth transition, this is where they lacked IMO.

Baoni and Monan beacame most pathetic characters in the show overtaking Xinyan , Monan I am still not sure did I forgive him? Maybe Maybe Not, Had a character like BO HAI not existed, Mo Nan was not redeemable. Girls should Learn from Baoni, Please Check your SELF RESPECT First. and Not run around a person who had turned into a Pathetic Looser who even Forced a Girl he claimed to be his Love and BFF to get engaged to defeat his enemy at one point. Please!!!

Overall A Wonderful Show, This show needs A bit of Patience and Lots of Ratings and Love. That is it from my End.

Watched this of course because of Dilireba and Deng Lun. But in the end this is one of the good drama to watch.

Review write by Quenstenite quite spot on. Yes this drama you can say sweet, funny and relaxing. Especially after Ling Ling Qi (LLQ) and Bo Hai (BH) together. Seeing them together feel so sweet & childish in someway.

And yeah i agree to with Quenstenite, later in the story the writers seem to forget about the dreams altogether which was a bit disappointing for me too. Even though dream as a connection is a very interesting aspect for this drama.

The dream itself for me yeah a little bit cringe at some first episode. Yeah you can do anything you like at dream but still not like that... ^_^

Don't like: The problem in the end drama a little bit force to be there. Seem that they need big problem but can't find another, so just create problem like that.

Overall: If you just looking for good and enjoyable drama to watch you can watch this drama.

Re-watch: just several scene & episode.

Long and redundant suffering of the FL

Well…
I watched it because of Dilraba, i think she’s such a natural…
It initially started fun and interesting to watch, the dreams, costumes, effects are good. the next few episodes sure they have to build s story why the ML is cold and aloof, but if it continue for almost half of the whole drama, it becomes so tiring and depressing to watch..
Only 15eps more to go but the love story of the ML and FL lead has not yet solidify… every character is chasing thier love. They should have change the title to “chasing love”
And the villain if just 😡
The ML and monan is too focused on thier hurts that they kepp hurting the person who love them 😤

Hoping for an improvement in the next few episodes, otherwise.. i’ll realy drop this..
