Childhood sweethearts Mi Yang and Wei Jing have been in a secret relationship because Mi Yang’s mother, who is a white-collar worker in a foreign enterprise, doesn’t like Wei Jing since she only graduated from a professional college and doesn’t have a stable job. But in the end, their relationship gets exposed and chaos ensues. While Mi Yang’s mother forces her son to find a woman with good qualifications, Wei Jing plans to become an “elite” and starts working at a foreign enterprise in order to satisfy Mi Yang’s mother and hold on to her love. The good:
+ The main characters are cute and kind to each other.
+ The side stories are surprisingly interesting.
+ It was a very easy watch. I could imagine it being good if you're home sick for a few days. You can miss a lot and you can still follow the story.
The less-good:
- Nobody's life has that many twists and turns. I lost count of the amount of times we went to the hospital. My word.
- The plot felt so contrived that I found myself just not caring about the main characters like I usually do.
- As soon as you think something good is happening, something crazy happens. I get doing that once or twice, but it was just constant and infuriating.
Overall, I have to say that I did not love this drama. I ended up skipping full scenes just to get to the end. I'm sort of sad I wasted my time on this.
