I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. I was confused a few times, but it was overall a cute story that you really shouldn't think too much about.

Plot-wise, it was okay. It felt like the writers had an idea and just ran with it without considering how it would fit in a three-part story arc. I would argue that this had a two-part mountain. Not even an arc. The culmination of it all was a little underwhelming. There's a potential to address serious issues, but since this is a light, airy romance, don't expect it to be addressed.

Acting was above average all around. There was never really a scene which called for difficult acting, but I'm giving 7/10 because the casting was solid. Sung Hoon's been better in other dramas - he was very shouty in this one. Could be the directing, though. But his acting didn't reach his eyes, so that's a bummer. He should stop playing jerk roles and get one where he's an absolute marshmallow. Kim So Eun was great! She conveyed the internal conflict, the desperation, and the playfulness of So Jun really well. Supporting characters were sweet.

Music was nice, but this didn't really have memorable songs in it - it was mostly background elevator music.

Would not rewatch. There's no real conflict, there's no real heart-fluttering moments, and there's no real reason to put myself through that again.

not a classic but worth it!

This is my first time writing a review for mydramalist...
not that I disagree with the others,
I just want to share how this movie has spoken to my soul.

it was not as great as early 2000s Korean romcom classic movies we all loved...
and can't even say that it could become a favorite for this day and age when people are so critical when it comes to films.

but I am confident to say that it has the right amount of fluff and melancholy to moved people's hearts.

for a hopeless romantic like myself,
this movie has taught me a lot of things.
likehow to be brave and take that step towards love!
do it afraid despite the uncertainties and all...

maybe I am just a little biased because I can relate to So Jung (Kim So Eun), a girl full of misfortunes and a failure.
and not even a good feeling like love could overcome the sadness, insecurities and confusion within her.

That's why when a miracle suddenly happened to her,
realities of life have stopped her to taste the sweet feeling a love and dreams can bring.

it began so silly that you might think at first that it's a frivolous movie,
especially that the concept is nothing new.

but most romcoms start this way.
the comedy wasn't strikingly funny
but I did laugh on some part.

but when it's time to get emotional...
you will just realized what is the real message of the movie.

personally I like tsundere style like Seung Jae, who perfectly played by Sung Hoon with his admirable voice, physique and visual.
I dig the push and pull game...
and when he decided to get in the zone...
you just can't help but fall for his charms!

therefore this amazing guy Seung Jae made So Jung feel so ashamed and lacking...
hence the confusion...
that's why the movie title is a question.

I can't belive how a love so pure can hurt two lovely hearts. Life sucks!

you might think that you have watched better romcom movies than this one,
well, you are definitely right!

but I love how the characters found the answer to the question.
and that's what makes this film...a worthwhile.

Hard to tell

It must be the story, this is where the movie failed to develop where you expected it to do. By the end of it, you would surely ask yourself; what was the problem?. Even at the romantic level, there should have been more moments to make you believe the relationship potential between the two leads, I did not understand the distance between them. Sung Hoon is fine as always, but again, the story did not give him much to do. This goes for the rest of the cast. I was aware that the rating of the movie is not promising, but I watch it. I realized then that the rating is reasonable, it would've been better if they tried to go deep into things that matter, and give the two lead a chance to connect in the right way. In the beginning, I felt like they had the potential, but in the end, I felt like it was wasted. I like watching movies which give you strong feelings about something; like a story, a character, a purpose ... etc., but this movie will leave you with none of that.

LAME, LUKEWARM
this is the most proper words for this movie ,
beside the word boring

i began to lose my interest starting from the minute 75 .. almost half the movie

it's completely empty story and totally emotionless

i thought it promising but i was wrong
it's neither romance nor social
i can't define it
it's really one of those stories that has no soul or leave a mark inside you

i was really sad because this is not the first bad choice for a talent like ( sung hoon )

i saw the Female Lead stupid and arrogant for no reason except for her empty pride

dislike and disappointed :/

It's not anything amazing

It's a normal romantic movie that doesn't have much personality (like a lot of romantic movies in general). It's not like a slow-burn or anything, it's just not super exciting. The actors are beautiful people that are trying to portray a normal life couple and they do an okay job. It was honestly a way to pass time for me and I'd figure I'd give it a try because I like some of the actors dramas (Sung hoon). I like baking so that was honestly the most interesting part to me. It's just a normal movie that can be a chill watch if you have the time and aren't looking for a cinematic master piece.

It was better on the second watch

This was kind of difficult to rate. Being a movie, it didn't have a lot of time for character development, not much time for relationship development, and the end was abrupt. But I have to say that the endings of the long dramas even tend to be abrupt, so I cut it some slack there.

Kim So Eun as So Jung was cute, though a bit of a hot mess. She spent a lot of time apologizing and seemed to be kind of clueless. I loved her in Boys Over Flowers and was glad to see her in this.
Sung Hoon as Jeung Jae spent a lot of time yelling. For me, he tends to be pretty unemotional in his acting, and that was true here as well.

I liked the friends in the coffee shop and I loved AnNa, as she wasn't the typical "other woman". I get so tired of seeing the evil, conniving woman trying to ruin a relationship.

There wasn't much chemistry between the two when I watched it initially, but when I went back to watch it again, seeing all the clues that I missed the first time, the story was very sweet. I just wish we had seen them together a little bit more.

WORST MOVIE EVER, don't waste your time.

Okay first off this movie was so bad and i'll explain way.
The ML liked the FL but it wasn't explained why at all. He didn't show he liked her at all until some time later in the movie.
It also wasn't clear why the FL liked the ML and when she even developed those feelings...

The movie starts off with the ML being an unfriendly asshole, yelling at the FL for no reason. The FL is a winy girl who has never dated before because of unknown reasons. She then gets that book which just is like that magic shell from SpongeBob kinda telling her what to do and so she starts to act according to the book.
The ML asks her to date him out of nowhere and it is them revealed he likes her and he claims he had given her so many hints. However he keeps pushing her to give him an answer in a very unfriendly way, even calling her names. He doesn't respect her boundaries at all.
His twin sister is also meddling in all this and calls her a tomboy for the simple fact that she isn't wearing skirts put pants. What kind of message is that?

The FL struggles with her private life as her Mom has Alzheimer and obviously that's a lot to take care of. However her Mom is not very much discussed until she appears at FLs work place with no shoes and stinks for some unknown reason. FL is embarrassed and doesn't let ML help her get her Mom home. In her own words, her pride didn't let her.

The ML and his twin sister also try to push the FL into accepting a bakery school something in Japan. The twin sister first pressures her by telling her the ML would basically miss out on an opportunity because he was scared the FL would get a bf in the meantime. Which is kinda emotional blackmailing? Like why would you put that on her? If he is dumb enough to mess with his future because of a girl who doesn't seem interested in him, then so be it??

I feel like the twin sister and ML don't respect the FL and treat her as a child that is incapable of making her own choices. They also don't want to respect the fact that she doesn't want to leave to Japan and keep asking her about it although she doesn't owe them any explanation.

Also the ML is like "I would be very close blabla" basically implying they would go to Japan together for 6 months although the FL didn't even respond to his confession which wasn't even a confession. He doesn't even say he likes her to her face.

FL totally freaks when she looses the book because she in fact actually is incapable of making her own decisions and was relying on the book to tell her what to do. This isn't seen as problematic tho. You will know at the end why.
The FL was very very unlikable. She wasn't nice, she wasn't caring, she was always lost in thought, once setting the kitchen on fire, endangering everyone and almost set it on fire for a second time because she kept forgetting things in the oven or stove. This eventually leads to her ruining a cake which was pre ordered. I am sorry but I would fire her or at least tell her off because she can't be this dumb at work. But the ML instead just steps up for her and takes the blame and now it's her turn to be super disrespectful...dude he is your boss what are u thinking talking like that to your boss and questioning his authority.
And on top of that she confesses that she likes him but instead of this being a romantic moment where they finally end up together, it results in him leaving the cafe because she can't be around him?? it's his cafe, why would you leave? At least he takes on the job in Japan for a few months but he just lets her stay and he didn't even confess that very moment when she said she liked him...which I want to ask again...when did she start liking him and why?

The movie ends with her finding a book again. Turns out ML had a book made that looks like that but with empty pages.
It was revealed he apparently liked the FL for a very long time and even kept her picture in his car.
FL hands in her resignation letter after finding out he had the picture which I didn't understand at all..because she then opens the just found book where the ML glued a picture of her saying he loves her which makes her go to him and suddenly he picks her up and spins her around?
Please what is this...

Sung Hoon was his typical self drama character. Unfriendly seemingly cold prick with a soft inside.. FL was just unlikable from beginning to end and didn't make sense at all. It didn't make sense why she avoided him eventho he liked her and she liked him? What is the reason? Somebody tell me.. Yes there was the mother illness thing but it doesn't add up and she was actually desperately looking to fall in love and find a boyfriend and when there is literally her chance she just walks away? Also she did only act according to the book to find a boyfriend so what was the point of everything and what was the point of freaking out when the book disappeared when she wasn't even interested in pursuing a relationship with her boss/the ML.

So yea to sum this up, acting was normal but the story was horrible. Whoever had this idea...just don't make this into a movie...It wasn't romantic, it was more of an dependency and very unhealthy relationship that didn't make sense whatsoever because both characters were pretty much unlikable, had almost no good traits to them, there was no spark, no tension, no typical scenes with accidental skin ship nothing. The movie was blunt, the characters moody and cold..the side characters were overall unnecessary and didn't do anything for the movie. Character development was pretty much non existent, other than the FL who got more and more unrelatable and annoying and whose actions kept making less and less sense.

Not big fun

I'm not big fun of this movie. I think charakters are without special personality, but in the same time story was cute. It was a little bit boring at the beginning, but after half it starts be interesting. I mean maybe I didn't understand the main male character at the first moment, but still... I'm not fun of this acting. Main female character was a little bit annoying. She has a difficult live, i understand it, but I have no idea why sh was acting like this. I'm giving 5 stars because I like this ending, views and supporting characters. And honestly I don't get it, falling in love with man who is mean and undecided. In he first time I didn't see that he is in love with her. Maybe a little bit.
This movie was just fine, I think I'll forget about i really quick.

I liked it very much

Maybe I'm not as picky as some, but I liked this movie. I already like both of the lead actors and I came upon this film by looking for something else that one of them starred in and was happy to see who their co-star was.

This is a lovely little film with an interesting premise. It's a feel-good story, at times heart-aching, with a magical twist and a sweet, satisfying ending. I could understand both of the main characters and what motivated them. I thought both of the lead actors did a good job (again). I recommend this movie.

Spineless Plot. Good way to waste time.

So I was bored and wanted to try a Kmovie since I have been watching only kdramas. And I felt that after Train To Busan, Kmovies might be really great since TTB was such phenomenal movie that brought in so many emotions in me. But I guess this was a low budget movie when I watched the first couple of minutes into the movie. So I didnt hold expectations. With nothing expected it was a good movie. I kinda liked the whole plot..that she was a very simple girl that never dated, had no experience in love or dating. But with just the help of a book she kind of started to get confident. She even played hard to get even though she has no dating experience just because the book said to take some time. But there's one thing I didn't get was if she liked her boss and he did too..then what was the problem in dating him when even she said it on his face that she likes him...?! That was a bit confusing. Also I get that she couldn't go for the academy since she has to look after her ill mom..but what was it that caused her to feel uncomfortable to face him??!
So plot wise it was really bland and nothing special about it. Acting was good. There were some familiar faces in it. But I wouldnt say you should make time to watch this because its not worth all that sacrifice. If you are bored and have nothing to do might as well watch it if you like. Or can put that time into something worthy. So I do regret that 1 hour I put into watching this. I guess I should have looked up some better drama to watch instead.
