disappointment

Was expecting alot for this show cuz of the high rating. But theres just so much of a flashback and repeated flashback. Theres just too much of a flashback, if its for a main chara its alright but for the villain ? why would u make a flash back scene for a villain that you would kill in just 1 eps like what is that?. Thank god this drama had 40-50 min each if its 60' id be dropping this drama for sure.
Act is really good what can i say they are all a professional actors
Music its a good match for each scene

Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings about this drama. It was good but I guess supernatural stuff is not really my cup of tea.
I had very high expectations for it, people had been hyping it up so I thought it would be a crazy masterpiece but to be honest it was just a regular superhero story but the production (except those flying scenes) and acting was above average compared to other kdramas. There were certain characters and stories I liked and if you like superhero/action/thriller dramas then I definitely recommend but I am not sure if it was good enough to recommend it to everyone.
It had quite a bit of romance and I even cried because of one story. My favourite was Ryu Seung Ryong and his character as Jang Joo Won. His story was the best in my opinion.
It felt a bit too USA-like and that's the part I dislike about superhero movies. Those cheesy lines between fighting scenes and the background music....
I felt the ending was a bit rushed and they could have showed us more scenes in present time if they had cut down on all those flashbacks. I was binging the show so it felt boring to me since I remembered those past scenes well.
Overall a decent kdrama but the genre is not my cup of tea, I gave it a chance because of those tiktok edits of that office romance. I don't regret watching it but once again I proved to myself that superhero stuff is not for me.

Korean version of the Umbrella Academy but BETTER!

This drama is for those who enjoy something different from the usual romantic and chaebol based stories.

The story evolves around a group of children of former NIS agents who were born with superpower. Their abilities were constrained by their parents' desire to protect their children from getting seized by the NIS director.

The drama is divided into three parts: the first focuses on the children; the second part on the lives of their parents; and the third part is about the the children being hunted by the North Korean spies.

I dropped this drama last year but I rewatched on 29 June 2024 after watching a Facebook video about the romance between Kim Doo Shik and Lee My Hun. I love the chmistry between these two actors.

I enjoyed this drama very much which is rare because I dislike scifi dramas. This one stands out.

Great plot

One of the best fiction I've watched. They are like superheroes, but human-like heroes, no one gets an advantage with their powers if they can't wield them properly, making it useless. From the first quarter of the episodes in the drama, there will be plot twists, and that's what hooked me because there's actually a deeper story than what initially appears.

Every main character has their own story, and the show dedicates respective episodes to each main character, making each one the protagonist. This somewhat bored me at some points, although the idea and storyline are good, my focus is on the main protagonist, so I searched for a lot of screen time for them.

I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending, it's not what I was hoping for. In my opinion, the ending happened too fast and was boring, considering how the plot started off so well.

A very good drama, so close to being amazing

Is Moving a good drama? For sure.
Is it worth watching? Definitely.
Is it a 10/10? Sadly no.
But it could have been.

I only started watching Moving almost a year after its first episode aired. I didn't really know anything about it except for the fact that it was a very popular drama in 2023. That was it. I didn't know anything about the storyline, or even what genre it is.

Still, my expectations were high. Due to all the hype, I was sure I'd probably binge all 20 episodes in a week or so. Instead, the first few episodes felt very slow to me. I just didn't get the appeal. Sure, I liked the characters (it's basically impossible not to to start smiling anytime Bongseok shows up on screen cause he is just too adorable), but the story just didn't pull me in.

At first, I was blaming this to the fact that I haven't been into action dramas in a long time. Sure, I was a big fan of Heroes when they started airing almost 20 years ago (which Moving felt very similar to) and liked other "supernatural" shows like Smallville (yes, I'm *that* old) or LOST.

It wasn't until episode 8 when Dooshik first shows up & we watch him meeting Mihyun that I said to myself "OK, now I get. I love this." Those were two spectacular episodes that were unfortunately followed up by 2 mediocre ones. Don't get me wrong - I liked seeing Joowon's backstory, how he met his wife and became a member of the Black team. It just felt too dragged out.

Soon I realized that the whole drama was like that. It just kept going up and down again and again. There was one episode that was good and you got really into it, but then it was followed by another one that you were itching for it to end. With so many characters it just felt like the writers didn't know how to pace the show and include the details of the side characters in a way that didn't bring the entire drama down a notch.

Fight scenes were another problem. There were just too many of them and they were much too long. When you see Joowon get stabbed, hit or shot at for the 1000th time, it just seems like too much. I constantly found myself skipping ahead.

I like how they humanized "the enemy" by showing how and why the North Korean unit came to be, but it just felt a bit sloppy. They sprinkled in the crumbs of how most of the North Korean soldiers didn't really believe in their mission, but at the same time they were fighting both the adults and the kids to get the files and do what they were told.

To top it all off, the ending felt rushed. Why did Bongseok go in hiding all of a sudden? Why did the North Korean soldier get a nice & heartwarming scene of how he basically got "adopted" by Joowon & Heesoo, but the Doosik, Mihyun & Bongseok family reunion felt so underwhelming?

Heroes in Hiding ; Not Your Average PTA Meeting

'Moving' masterfully blends superpowers with heartfelt storytelling, delivering emotional highs and gripping action. The characters are deeply relatable, each with their unique abilities and personal struggles, making the story both thrilling and touching. The production quality is topnotch, with impressive special effects and a compelling narrative that keeps you hooked from start to finish. It's a must watch for Kdrama fans seeking a unique, engaging experience that goes beyond the typical genre conventions. Lastly I can't wait for season 2.

This show is good but..

For me this show is great from the action scene, acting of all actors and lastly production but...
There something unclear..

The POWER SYSTEM---

- How will you determine your own strength if someone has same ability as you??

-How will you determine your chances to defeat your enemy if he has same ability as you?

I DONT WANT TO GET AN REASON LIKE

" Because they are main character, they need to win."

Poor writing character for the villain ( Not for north koreans but for NSI chief and tracker old man)

They are EASY KILL..

Conclusion:

I love this show but those question, dont give good reason to rate it higher.

Good Enough

Korean Drama " Moving " is a supernatural thriller about humans born with supernatural abilities who try to live a normal life, sheltered from those who try to use them as weapons.

The drama's pace feels off at first, but the viewer quickly settles into its rhythm, as the episodes slowly reveal each character and their past, binding everything together in the final episodes, where the tension has reached its boiling point and the big battle erupts. The idea of having each character presented in different episodes before moving on to the main plot was brilliant and it worked nicely as to create the perfect suspense for the final episodes.

In addition, the atmosphere of the drama was spot on, with the bloody battle being gruesome, but the story having enough humanity and heartwarming moments to create the perfect blend.

Finally, the performances were all enjoyable by everyone in the excessive cast, and the CGI along with the fighting scenes were top-notch.

So, overall, nine out of ten.

You can't fly well because you're afraid of falling

The combination of superhuman abilities, intense action sequences, and a top-notch cast was a thrilling experience!!!!!!!!!

The way they structured the plot, weaving together the perspectives of both students and parents was a clever move. The fact that it seamlessly weaves between past events and the present adds an extra layer of complexity and intrigue to the narrative.

It's impressive that, despite the fantastical elements of superpowers, the series maintains a grounded feel, emphasizing the in-depth relationships between characters. They put effort into developing each character, making them all unique and impactful. The star-studded cast is impressive, and it's great to see both seasoned actors and rookies delivering outstanding performances. The blend of action, drama, romance, and humor suggests a well-rounded and engaging story. The cinematography and music, they really know how to set the mood and enhance the viewing experience.

In terms of the plot, the structure is clear-cut. Approximately seven episodes focus on the present, delving into the lives of the younger generation with themes of high school romance, teenage self-discovery, and generational conflicts. The subsequent episodes shift to the past, where the parents take center stage, exposing harsh realities such as manipulation, betrayal, social stigma, and the challenges of child protection. Both segments offer compelling narratives. The final episodes deliver edge-of-your-seat action sequences, featuring an ensemble cast.

For those still on the fence, I wholeheartedly recommend this drama. It stands out as one of the best of the year, presenting a unique and refreshing addition.

It's a moving TV show

This show feels distinctly different from what I associate with kdramas, but I guess I tend to stick to rom-coms.

It is a moving, heartfelt, suspenseful, sometimes graphic with violence and gore, but at its heart it's about people and the relationships we have with our family and what we'd do to protect each other.

I enjoyed it, but often found myself distracted because some story lines dragged. I understand why some back stories were introduced and showed, but then it sometimes was too long and detracted from the suspense of the action that was happening!

There are SO many hints dropped along the way, so it didn't help when I got distracted and didn't connect/notice the hints dropped along the way. But I feel that's a problem with the pacing. I know some people say it had 'perfect pacing', but I do think this was a problem. I was engaged, but it was also a series I felt I could drop too because it lagged and dropped with pacing.

I didn't cry, so I feel that says a lot, but I did feel a lot, and my heart squeezed in so many moments.

Not likely to rewatch, not eagerly anticipating season 2 that was hinted at during post credts (MCU style), but I'd give it a go if and when it ever comes out. I'd imagine a lot of the actors/characters we saw this season would only make guest appearances in season 2 though.

Worth checking out!

A Truly MOVING Story Served Avengers’ Style

Moving is a very unique from all the kdramas I’ve watched before. It encompasses all the genres it promised to deliver and I think it is perfect. Moving hit all the emotional points while delivering the best action sequences I’v seen. The family dynamics was also very on point and became the heart and soul of the story.

Casting was perfect. Jo In Sung was the coolest black agent and the most adorable dad to Bongseok. Han Hyo Joo, was the perfect partner to the cool black agent. All of their romantic scenes were embedded on my mind. Their chemistry was amazing, even though there love story was just told in 2 episodes. Han Hyo Joo also delivered as the strong mom who takes care of her son. They were just the perfect parents. Ryu Seung Ryong was the best! I have watched some of his hits but he really delivered in this one. The soft-hearted, loving “Monster” Jang Joo Won just captured my heart in all his scenes from funny, to action, to sad scenes. I’m not gonna expand more in the casting, but they were all perfect for their characters. Especially, the very cute Bongseok-ah.

Story-telling was also good. The timeline was a little bit confusing at first, since it is not told chronologically. But as you continue watching the series, the story was told like that for a reason. Kang Full the writer of the webtoon and the series did a great job, no episodes were boring and each character was given a spotlight in the series. The show was written in a character-driven way that’s why Ioved the story. I also like the use of parallelism in the beginning and end of the drama. It showed how the characters evolved and remained true to themselves.

Cinematography was amazing. You will be hooked to all the action-scenes. My favorite was Kim Doo Shik’s, when he single-handedly raid the North Korean base. That was just mind blowing. They were also able to emphasize all the powers of the superhumans, especially with Lee Mi Hyun’s “super-sense”, which is I think the hardest to do.

To summarize, I really recommend this drama. This is a must-watch series that will totally make anyone laugh, cry, happy and sad. I hope a lot of people watch it because I want a season 2. Haha. It did open-up new story lines in the end credits scenes.

A fun show to watch

There was many things I loved abt this show bt the thing I loved the most is everyone is the lead of the show.... Everyone has their own story, own pain nd hardships...... Everyone got enough attention nd enough time to shine.......
A really fun superhero series. Without a single boring episode....
There was also hint of 2nd season......
I hope they make it a franchise like Marvel nd cover story of every single character in detail..........
There was many things tht require some explaining as the show is relatively short.
Hope tht also get done.
Like a prequel abt how Kin Doosik ended up in the NIS
