What a major DISAPPOIMENT !!!!!
URGH !!! the fact I had invested my time in watching this dam drama is more likely that I myself need my head read!!!This was such a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT in and a disgrace for the Medical field and teams.
Firstly - the dam FL was the absolute worse throughout this whole drama, I strongly feel if she was not such an eyesore and so freaking pathetic, this drama would have been done, literally everything about this drama is wrong and only because of her!!! she was absolutely annoying a huge trouble maker, and totally unprofessional, espically for the a Medical Resident!!! I swear if carried on like this in real life, there is no way she would be have even graduated, she literally, gave the impression that being a med resident a joke and to me that's so wrong, we work our asses off and even our mentors / teachers would never tolerate such behavior. The fact that everyone coasted her and had a very strange impression that she is a good doctor leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I really feel that the writers did not do enough work here in the understanding what a med resident have to go through. She performed and illegal incision, her teacher took the fall, and she got a way with it, she almost killed a child and again she got away with it, then she lies to her parents and gets a way with it, her husband (as much i think ML is a good actor) he was the worst, kept covering her mistakes, and looking the other way, there is Love but there is also stupidity and being a doctor he should have seen through mistakes and did something about it, how does any man stay with some like her who is so unprofessional and the whole time she gets told you will be a wonderful doctor !!! CLEARLY THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT A GOOD DOCTORS IS!!! The female lead is gross. Less than five minutes into the second episode, you quickly realize that she treats Shen He like garbage. She gets pissed whenever Shen He isn’t unconditionally on her side about everything since as her husband, he should always agree with her. I’m sorry; since when does the relationship status of “married” only apply based on convenience? She’s constantly playing with his feelings, calling him irrational when he tries to reason with her and dismissing his discomfort with her misbehavior. This is not how someone should act toward anyone, let alone toward a loved one.
I felt no peace watching this series, all I remember from this series is the female lead yelling to the male lead. This is the first time I ever watch series and hate the female lead; her character absolutely does not suit her profession as a doctor. So irresponsible since the beginning (forgot to report to the hospital yet blamed her boyfriend for did not remind her), has no logical thinking in solving problem, selfish... moreover no chemistry at all between her and Leo Luo. The story line does not attract me either, it has no meaning compared to Healer of Children.
Overall: DO NOT WATCH!!!!

Too long but quite enjoyable
Watch this by picking the random number from my PWT list. It's a long journey but I quite like it. Almost didn't watch this because all the review said it's not good, but it's Luo Yun Xi so I still hang on to this hoping for the best. Turn out my gut quite right.I have to admit I also don't like the FL, rarely I don't like the FL, but Tang Yu Jia (YJ) really bring one of the worst kind of FL to the drama world. I still don't too like her until the last ep, but I feel she's not as bad as the first ep.
Tang Yu Jia (YJ) is one of the most childish FL, not in the spoiled way. She's always act first and think later kinda girl. In relationship and in professional it's always like that. And her emotion is always all over the place.... And sometimes I really tired with this kind of plot, where the woman is too emotional while the man is one man that always tolerate the woman. Yeah we watch it maybe we feel kinda romantic or dreamy, but this really give bad influence toward Young couple...
The plot from first until the last bring a lot of question. And the biggest question is.... Why YJ had to hide their relationship from the world still doesn't make sense. They're not under pressure, from their family nor from the work. OK at first maybe because YJ's dad not allowed her to be in relationship, so they have to hide the relationship. But jumping to married like that also one big stupidity. They're Asian where marriage not only between 2 person but 2 family.
The hospital story also quite questionable. Is it being a doctor really that much trouble....? Is it really that easy to be sued...? Yeah I know being a doctor of course have to deal with the patient family, and all kind of doesn't make sense people, but the last case really kinda feel just be there to fulfill the duration... It's just they already decided from the first to make it at least 40 ep & then come out with the plot.
So yeah overall I think this kinda interesting drama. At least this still can keep me watch it till the end, even though I have watch it with 1.5 speed. But in my opinion they really just stretch out the duration as long as possible. They can make it enough with 20-30 ep, where it should stop until Shen He get recognition by YJ's dad. But they have to stretch it into 42 ep.... with all unnecessary plot.

I like to believe that I'm a patient spirit when it comes to television. I can take ridiculous cliches and stereotypical characters. If a show is bad enough, I can watch it through to the end out of pure curiosity—how bad can it get? But holy moly, you’d have to pay me a year’s salary plus benefits to get through this entire thing.
In the Chinese dramasphere, there’s this phrase: “gou xie”, literally “dog’s blood." Created by combining the Chinese word for “enough” and the transliteration of the elegant English word “shit,” this umbrella term is applied to a TV show’s components when they become preposterously intolerable.
Can you see where this is going?
What about "Pediatrician" would make me call it out as being "gou xie"? A more challenging question would be what about it isn't so cringeworthy. The worst offender is the romance, the poor execution of which also happened to be the sole reason I refused to continue watching.
The female lead is gross. Less than five minutes into the second episode, you quickly realize that she treats Shen He like garbage. When the summary says that their marriage is a secret, it’s 1% because her dad would bring hell upon them and 99% because this chick is constructed from grade-A wench material. She demands that her husband tell no one that they’re married; no, that they’re even a couple! Why? She doesn’t want to be seen as an old, taken woman. Yes; in China—the same place that shames women for not getting married by thirty—this lady in her mid-twenties thinks being single is more socially-acceptable...okay, let's not get sidetracked.
There is literally nothing about this relationship that appeals to the audience. Forget that she’s an unlikeable character; the issue is that she’s unlikeable, but we’re supposed to believe that she matches well with the sweet male lead. The interactions between these two are basically the same as a brother trying to subdue his baby sister whose default state is that of throwing tantrums. No chemistry is possible between these two people, yet each episode shoves them in your face until you’d rather not see either of them. At all. Ever.
Sadly, the medical end of the story isn't much to brag about, either. Looking at the problems surrounding medical care of children is such an interesting topic, yet this show somehow even ruined that. Putting aside all the technicals of hospital operations, there is hardly any emotion put into the issues of these kids. With too much showtime given to the nightmare of a romance, there isn't enough given to fleshing out each of these children’s stories. Also, it's very hard to focus on Jia Jia as a responsible doctor when all you can imagine is how she'll screw over her husband within the next fifteen minutes.
The only reason I even began this drama was Luo Yun Xi. This guy’s acting abilities soar through the roof and he has an excellent face to boot (though his hair in this one is…well, we don’t talk about that). But apparently, there's a limit to my adoration and that limit goes by the title of "Pediatrician." There was nothing more that Yun Xi could have done to cool down this hot mess of a drama. This really goes for all of the actors—I get the feeling that some of them are actually good at acting, but the subpar writing just doesn’t allow any of them to show their potential. Instead, they end up being very stiff and awkward; and you can't blame them.
Even not having finished it, dragging myself through 18 episodes is enough to recommend a solid “pass” for this one. The romance leaves a bad taste on one’s tongue and the medical drama is lukewarm. If you're looking for quality, this is not worth the time at all.

Weird mentality
What a weird mentality. When a patient's mum slapped a nurse and a doctor wanted to called the police and then had her phone smashed by the patient 's mum, it is the fault of the nurse and doctor. They were forced to apologise to the aggressor. This seems to be the common trend in all mainland drama... Very funny mentality... The victims are the one at fault while the aggressor is right.. 😂 🤣 😅 ... Just can't understand the way mainlanders think... Does this reflects their culture or it is just poor scriptwriting? Was this review helpful to you?
Good drama, but what...?
Okay, so first off I want to say, all together I really did enjoy this drama since the story and the hospital environment was a nice change from watching a lot of ancient dramas. Bu then to the thing that I don't really get...The unnecessary fighting:
The main characters were fighting through the WHOLE FREAKING DRAMA. Yes, I know married couples do fight with each other and so do all people, but from time to time it was almost unbearable to watch. They fought about everything, and I mean literally EVERYTHING. But the problem wasn't just with the main couple, but also the fighting at the hospital and everything.
The ending:
I've seen a lot of comments about how the ending was since who doesn't love running to they're loved ones, but my problem with this is it left a lot untold. It was unclear why the male lead was working there, did he enjoy it? Did the the parents actually ever meet each other? The whole drama was so much fighting between the female leads father and her husband and herself. I find it pretty sad that when the father finally accepted the marriage they never showed the wedding and anything. The drama literally had 42 episodes and some of the scenes were made almost a little too tiringly long, but then again the ending was speeded up and not really the ending you are looking for after so many episodes.
In the end i did really enjoy it, but it could have been better. I'd still recommend it if you have the time

seriamente criticate????
