meh. I hate that they made a big deal over HER (stopped before it was too late and when she was super vulnerable) indiscretion when he was a cheatin' asshole. MEH. That ruined it for me and honestly I hate it when the original couple stays together after the hell his "mistake" put them through. I would have rather her ending up with ANY of the other guys in the show. ICK. I gotta say that chick was a crazy one though. YIKES. Until the very end she was creepily stalking and ruining lives.
I'm also of the super firm belief that basically 0 relationships will ever be the same after a cheat. There is NO way you wouldn't have some sort of worry in the back of your mind that it wouldn't happen again. Does he smell like perfume? Was he really late just because of traffic? Business trips? noooooope. Once that trust is broken it may be glued back together, but the crack will always remain. And the relationship with be fragile as a result of that crack.

A drama that gets your feelings very well!
This is how I judge dramas, how many times was I moved by the characters, how frustrated did I feel when something frustrated happened, in other words: how much was I invested, engaged in the drama! and for this one, surely I was a lot!

The story starts very strong, it almost hits ya with events but that's not even the good part, every episode you start to discover bits of the mystery and see how each character is acting, why and for what. The acting was magnificent! Naka Riisa, Matsumoto, Nakamura Tomoya and others nailed their roles. Hell I started to hate my beloved Tsukamoto since he was so good at his shitty role lol

if you want a little change from daily drama, this is an engaging one that you'll surely love!

A drama about betrayal, healing, growth, and understanding.

Holiday Love (ホリデイラブ) is a Japanese drama series directed with the same plot as its manga counterpart. There are many things to cover with this drama, and in the end, I will make comparisons between the JDrama and the manga series. Therefore, spoilers for the manga will be present. Starting with what I loved with this series: the storyline. I was hooked instantly from reading the synopsis and knew that this would be something right up my alley. I will never condone cheating, and it was wrong for the husband to have cheated on his lovely wife. The story was not all lovey dovey, and it was easy to see that every single character had their own issues in life, whether it was a struggle of man vs society, or man vs self. The reason why I've rated this drama so high is because the situations depicted are realistic. Even though some scenes are obvious dramatized, we have to understand that it is indeed, a drama. All the scenes could have happened to anyone in society: being cheated on, experiencing societal bullying, feeling the pressure of fitting societal standards, struggling to take care of children, struggling to help your own child, struggling to mend again with someone you thought you loved so much, and struggling to heal and understand. The next few factors that I really liked was the OST, drama opening, and the acting. The tarot cards were a beautiful touch to this drama, and I loved how they wrote Reika's character. Every time the opening came up, I had to rewind multiple times just to look at each character individually (definitely not because they all looked SUPER good... especially Kuori...). For those wondering, the ending song for each episode is "Chameleon Lens" by Porno Graffitti. I personally think the song is so soothing and sets that mysterious vibe to what's going to happen next in this drama series. Every actor/actress played their roles super well. As someone who have also read the manga, I believe they did a perfect job portraying their manga counterparts. I LOVED the character developments. It restored my faith and hope in humanity again. The ending was very satisfying, everyone got what they deserved :)

—DRAMA COMPARISONS W/ THE MANGA (SPOILERS AHEAD)—
First, I found it super interesting how they changed Reika's character. Originally, she was suppose to be Wataru Izutsu's sister (Rina's ex-husband). However in the drama, she was this love-match-tarot-mysterious person. She was suppose to be someone who helped out Rina and forced Kuori to take those photos of Azu. Furthermore, Azu was suppose to have met Kuori on a dating site, not some "soul twin mate" app Reika had made. However despite all that, I actually prefered this Reika than the manga Reika. It made the plot more interesting, and it just made the vilian of the story more obvious. Second, Kuori's manga character was suppose to be this 30-year-old man who had a beard. But you bet how grateful I am that they got this young, attractive man to play Kuori's part. (And he nailed it!) Anyway, overall, I'm very pleased with this drama adaptation. I believe the directors sticked very strongly with the events that happened in the manga, and they did a beautiful job executing Holiday Love.

Alternative Title: 'Stupid Questions"

It started off well with a promising story and dynamic characters but it fell flat so badly it's concave.

The MVP and best actor in the drama was Nanaka (the daughter!) She has better facial expressions than her own parents.
No one took Rina seriously even though she is EXTREMELY CRAZY! Like, does no one have common sense or at all least self preservation skills?! *facepalm*
The main female character had a series of stupid questions to pretty obvious negative situations and revelations.
The Idiot Husband was phenomenally superb at being either a horrible actor or a pretty generic, bland male lead that is the center of a love triangle between two females characters that were more interesting than him.
The character with the most growth was Mr. Izutsu and thank goodness for that because he seems to be doing better than his wife obviously. Even in the end, he was able to adjust and understand how essential his wife's role was in their family. I have the most hope for his character in the future, though I strongly suggest therapy for everyone in this show.

Every character in the show besides Nanaka is pathetic and why is Marriage Counseling or calling the Police not considered? All of this could have been avoided if proper communication between the couples was initiated. All relationships are Work In Progress, and seriously talk things out before you marry and the during your whole marriage,

Haru is a Champ and well deserving of anyone's company and time. He was a better influence in the story's event than anyone else. Also, why was Reika - I mean, Shiga - surprised to see Haru in the bar? Even though it shows nowhere that they met and that she knows of him beforehand? I also wonder exactly what is her job, because that was very vague as well.
(Why can't Fake Kuroi be pardoned on the account of Self-Defense? .......*after 10 minutes of Google results*...... Oh, that's insane!)
It feels like the message of the drama is 'Once you're married, then keep settling. You might not get lucky again after you're divorced.' Though, the ending suggest otherwise for Azu's older sister and Mr. Izutsu. Smh, make up your mind please!
The drama feels off and people's reaction to bad news seems surreal and down right insulting! (If someone tells you they're in the middle of a divorce in result of adultery.......why do you nervously chuckle or change the topic?! What's wrong with people?! But then again, someone gave horrible advice to Azu about forgiving her cheating husband before she cheated herself such as, "Do you know how much bravery and courage it takes to apologize to someone who's angry at you?" NO! Because he's the reason she's angry!) This entire drama was insane for all the wrong reasons. Wasted potential.
