IT WAS disgusting but nobody says because it is MDL

It is MDL where high score is necessary even if you don't get logic or sense in story

So FAT cook enters body of banker and fall for his rich young pretty sexy wife...and started screwing her.
While he also try to meet his real wife on side without telling her that he got into rich man's body and got his wife in his bed.
It was disgusting that even after knowing that man in her husband's body isn't her husband hye jin keep that man without a slight guilt Or shame
man drives his real wife to her death and then leaves his orphan kids

Then comes the illogical ending episode
So 1st it was cook who enters bankers body
So everything goes back in time but COOK doesn't have any memories of him screwing bankers wife..
But banker who was dead. Has memories of his wife and cook in his body making out in there bed and kai feel he did good thing by leaving those memories
It was cooks memories so why they remain with banker who died ?
Our banker is fine with all those memories in which he sees his wife falling for cooking knowing her husband is already dead..... He is not only fine but happy and start using all those things to seducing his wife again

Just think about it you have memories of another man screwing your wife and your fine ?
Cook should have those memories because it was his memories
Do kai forgot that it was cooks soul' that enters bankers body and hye jin fall in love with cook.

Hye jin was a shameless woman who was sleeping with a married man just because he look like her husband

She would not give a single glance on real cook as a man.
They even show them at ending smiling at each other. but hye jin just think of him has a fat ass funny guy to laugh on not a man to screw,
like there is future affair between sexy hye jin and fatty cook. and banker with all cooks wife's memory meeting her behind her fatty husband to have her has his ugly side mistress.

WOW

I won’t write a long review because this drama doesn’t need one, but I just want to say that it was so good. It kept me hooked from the beginning until the very end. You can’t predict anything in this drama.

I decided to watch it after seeing a short extract on TikTok. At first, I thought the story would go in a certain direction, but in the end it turned out to be completely different from what I imagined.

The writer did a really good job because the story was so engaging. It never got boring and it wasn’t overly crazy with unnecessary or dumb plot twists. Usually, I feel that most dramas with 16 or more episodes could have fewer episodes because the story doesn’t need that many. Sometimes there are filler episodes that don’t add anything interesting and only bring more and more plot twists just to increase the number of episodes.

But this drama didn’t feel like that at all. Every episode felt useful to the story.

Also, the characters are very well written. You can’t really choose a side because each character has their own struggles and their own reasons, and that’s what makes the story so good.

I really recommend watching this drama.

STRENGTHS
- Unique storyline presented in an unpredictable way; makes you curious about how it would end
- It has Ra Mi Ran, Kim Hyun Joo and Kim Myeong Min; with their superb acting skills, who would not get drawn into their characters' emotions?
- It also has EXO's Kai (more comments below)
- Excellent acting from the supporting cast, especially by the child actors
- It has a non-toxic mother-in-law character (yes, I consider this a strength lol)
- 'Monochrome' (OST) will stay in your head even after you have completed the drama

WEAKNESSES
- Flow of story can be dragging at times; frustration may keep you from completing the drama
- Once you get invested in the story, some scenes and situations may crush your heart and leave you tearful
- Ato (Kai's character) has his own charms, but he may at some scenes can be either annoying or cringey or both
- Some supporting love lines were introduced but were not paid attention to in the end

SOME COMMENTS
- At a certain point in the drama, I found myself asking, "Who should Song Hyeon Cheol end up with?" With logic, the answer is simple, but the struggles of the human heart is not a math equation, more so, the emotional consequences of a person's choices. (There is actually a Song Hyeon Cheol [C], if you ask me.)
- Some may think this is like a "ugly wife vs. pretty wife" kind of story, but the choices are not really between those two words.
- Memories may reside in the mind but it is the heart that makes meaning of them.

RECOMMENDATION
This drama is worth your time. I suggest you watch it, especially if you want to see a different side of Ra Mi Ran after watching Reply 1988 or Black Dog.

It's a good drama with compelling story to watch with top notch acting including the young actors. The music effectively complements the scenes, even if it doesn't leave a lasting impression. However, there are frequent use of k drama tropes, that can take up quite a bit of run time and make no impact to the main story line such as annoying characters that you don't care about are given quite a bit of screen time, characters meeting beforehand, love triangle etc which might make the story feel somewhat formulaic and predictable. Despite these shortcomings, the engaging core narrative and stellar acting still make it worth a watch.

If not for the last 30 mins of last episode, show would have been 9/10

Didn't like the ending, unnecessarily pushed to 18 episodes. If not for the ending, it would have received a 9/10

I loved the new love story and logic between choosing the one of the wives.
He is a completely different person who fell in love with the Kim Hyun Joo.
Because he changed, he is not in love with his previous wife.
It is just like divorcing first wife and falling in love and marrying another woman later. It Tracks
Why would you erase all that beautiful love story just so another one can get his chance. It does not track as well as does not sit well with me.
The love story can be looked at without supernatural element like this: (Analogy)
Divorced Man with one child and Widowed woman with two children fall in love and marry and live happily live together.
You could take it a bit far and say, 1st wife dies in an accident, so now the family is Two parents and Three children.
I would have loved this ending.
Why did you push the entire plot (entire 17.5 episodes) into oblivion. The last 30 mins of the last episode shatters a beautiful love story.
Loved the second chance at love for KIM HUN JOO Character, but ruined it in the last 30 mins of the last episode.
It left a bad taste. Like KIM HUN JOO Character is being betrayed/scammed

who wrote this bru???????

The acting was amazing, and the cast choice was incredible. The plot is very interesting too but was not delivered :/. Those ppl saying the story wasnt predictable are LYING💀 . Loved the acting but the pacing was just horrible. It was boring AND predictable. The story wasnt done justice imo, and was too lengthy with 18 episodes. Overall, ts could've been a 1 hour movie😭✌️💔

You need to watch this !

Now this drama is truly a gem and this is exactly why K-drama are famous. This was so good, the script, the acting, the myriad of emotions that will take you to is beyond words. I loved every minute of each episode and most importantly I loved the casting and it truly fit this so well that I could never imagine anyone else playing these characters.

Plot***
The story follows two men with the same name, who were born on the same day and who end up in an accident the same day and by mistake the one who is not supposed to die passes away and his soul ends up in the body of the person who is supposed to die but survive.

Spoilers***
While this is undoubtedly a fantasy story, it does not detract from the emotional rollercoaster you experience. At first, it seems like it will be a light-hearted story about a person trying to adapt to a new family while looking after his own. However, this drama goes much deeper. As Song Hyun Cheol (the chef) grapples with the chaos of understanding how he ended up in another man's body, he must pretend to be Song Hyun Cheol (the banker). In doing so, he discovers that his death is connected to the banker, and as he navigates the shock of his situation and tries to adjust to his workplace and new family, he begins to merge with Song Hyun Cheol's (the banker) memories. Through various heart-wrenching experiences, he evolves into a completely different person; not just Song Hyun Cheol (the chef) or Song Hyun Cheol (the banker), but a new individual entirely. I truly mourned the loss of that part of him and wanted him to find happiness with Hye Jin, but my heart also broke for Yeon Hwa, who lost her husband and later had to face the reality that he existed now as a stranger in another's body.

Complicating matters further, while Song Hyun Cheol (the chef) was healing Hye Jin's heart, he was simultaneously breaking Yeon Hwa's heart and that of his daughter. It was an incredibly challenging situation, which is why I mentioned that this drama takes you through a wide range of emotions. On one side, you have a family mourning the loss of their beloved head. They meet someone they believe to be a friend of his who shares his name, only to realize that it is not a friend but the soul of Song Hyun Cheol living in a new body. They go through the emotions of relief and the painful realization that, although he is alive, he is now Song Hyun Cheol (the banker) married to Hye Jin with two children, and he has to provide for that family. On the other hand, there’s the family of Song Hyun Cheol (the banker); a fractured marriage and two children who have no relationship with their father. While Song Hyun Cheol (the chef) brings warmth and healing to them, he faces the responsibility of two families and cannot simply return to his original family while managing a bank and uncovering a connection between his death and illegal loans within that bank. It’s a lot to unpack and truly a remarkable journey.

The storyline was truly fire and so good and crazy in the most positive way possible. In terms of casting, I love it! I could never see any other actor play these roles because they were truly great. Kim Myung Min is one of my favorite actors and seeing him in a silly role was quite refreshing. I am so used to seeing him in serious roles and seeing a bit more of the happy side was new for me. Ra Mi Ran is the kind of actress when you see her cast in a project you don’t even need to watch the trailer, you just know it is going to be great.

Overall, I am very upset this drama ended and I wonder if I will find something as great as this one and truly wished they had a few more episodes.

Unique story

Watched this because I am a fan of Kim Hyun Joo.

The premise of the story was unique. For someone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, how I wish this could happen in real life as well. However, when the memories of both Hyun Chul started to meld into one, this was where the story really started to fold out.

What does one do when the soul of a loved one is in another body? I can just imagine how difficult it was for the characters involved. But beneath this story, I loved that this story focused on the families.

I was already dreading how this would end and which family he would choose. To be honest, was surprised at his choice. But I am glad that in the end, it all worked out for them.

Frustrating watch due bad writing

If you want to turn off your brain and watch this without a single critical thought in your head, then this drama is for you!

Gave this at least until episode 2 but I just can't bring myself to watch more cause if I did, I would be voluntarily torturing myself with the absolute emotional SLOP that is being force fed to the viewers. There were so many inconsistencies in basic human behavior on A LOT of moments that were written out just for the sake of forcefully "tugging on your heartstrings" like come on. I don't usually write reviews but I had to make an exception for this sorry piece of turd, and even calling it a turd would be disingenuous towards turds., at least with turds I can actually appreciate it coming out.

So far it seems like every character besides the wife and sister, are all missing a couple of chromosomes in their head. It's like playing a RPG game and you're given 4 choices of action to take and somehow they all take the most dumbest possible selection. Watching these characters make these choices is this kdrama's way of rage baiting you. Ts can't be serious.
