I watched this drama only because of Zhao Lu Si. I really like her acting. But for this drama, I feel this drama is not suitable for me. I'm confused what makes this drama weird and less interesting. The acting of the cast is quite good even though their chemistry is not that great, in my opinion. After watching a few episodes I watched, I felt the cut scenes were not good and didn't connect well. Many scenes are unnecessary and forced. The story is light and doesn't have much conflict, which makes the drama even more boring. As for acting, I've always liked FL's acting. ML's acting is good enough but I feel ML and FL's chemistry is not there. The acting supporting cast is good but average.
Besides that, I really didn't like the ending of this drama. Like, well, just like that. In the final episode there is an added conflict but the resolution is very fast and meaningless. It should have ended smoothly but because of a conflict that shouldn't be meaningful it made the ending weird.
Even though I didn't like it, I watched it until the end because I hoped the story would get better, but it actually disappointed me. But that's okay, as a spare time filler.

Give it a try!!
I was hesitant to watch this drama at first because it is not usually included in the list of must-watch C-dramas. But I am glad I gave it a try.The trailers and the synopsis didn’t do justice to how good this one is. The story is mature enough, which was unexpected given that the lead actors looked young and I have watched them in other dramas before.
I started this drama with not much of an expectation; maybe that's one of the reasons why I enjoyed it a lot. Well, I wrote this review to encourage those who are hesitating to at least give this drama a chance because I really believe it is worth your time.

Definitely need a season 2.If not, I so want to see the main leads together again.
All hearts for Riley Wang and Rosy Zhao
...................................................................................
The ending was too abrupt if you ask me. And also the progress in the relationship should have been shown as it is not like its a teen drama. The story line was good but the ending was not satisfying at all. It was disappointing actually. They should have given two more episodes at least. Personally, I would love a season 2 and I guess many fans agree to the same. Also, would love to see the couple again together in a a very romantic drama.

Now the second lead I totally get reminds me of those days when I dreant up a relationship only to find out I was the only dreaming. It goes, without saying there is no better time like, the now.
In short if you want to pass time .thus, would be a great one.
Ps: that ending had me in in my feelings'you are my dream'.

Nothing out of ordinary
This show gets boring real fast. The story has nothing new to offer as it was netflix I chose to watch. The story is pretty standard, ML who is icy cold character meets an aspiring voice over artist and due to circumstances they had to cohabit and rest is like everyone guessed they fall in love.
This is my first show of rosy to my surprise her acting is really good. As she is young and looks cute I thought she will pretty annoying but acting all cute cute (just like the actress in Intense love *puke*) no her acting is pretty mature. Surprisingly ML riley 's acting is the negative point to the show. As his character is as someone who is hard on the outside but soft inside , he failed to portray the emotions properly. He rather looked tired, bored throughout the show. Rosy completely overshadowed him.
Just watch it if you have nothing to watch and have a netflix account.

Saved by female lead acting
If you are looking for a show that you want to relax without having to go through the roller coaster of all the unnecessary dramas or plots ,this is it the show for you. You just sit back and watch without having to use an inch of your brain questioning what, why, how, .This show has a potential but falls short and hard due to the main lead. This guy...has to be the worst actor I've ever watched. No offense to his fans, but other than his 'cold looks' ,there's absolutely nothing he contributes in the show. His character is like a robot. He is very stiffed. If the female lead acting is the same as him, there's no way this show will be watchable. The whole time he is just standing there looking into the abyss.
In short, The female lead carries this show. They should all thank her because without her acting (other than few moments here and there),she saved the show big time in a way it makes it more watchable. It's like watching a bad show but you simply can't stop watching because there's a little glimpse of hope .

The dullest of Zhao LuSi drama
I don't know about this drama. I think this was the most dullest drama Zhao LuSi ever been in, seriously though, she's not very herself like we knew her. Riley Wang was also...OMG...the dullest character ever. I mean if you're a quite reserve man, you don't have to extend it to become a painfully grumpy - like there wasn't any 'fire' in his eyes...couldn't see his passion to violin either. Even his parent (in the drama) stated to the same effect....for the money Bei Er Duo would do anything to fullfill her dreams to go to Japan for her further training for voice-over actress. Then, it became dismantling her character by rival Tang Li (whose in love with Ye ShuWei), very belittle Er'Duo personality because her side jobs. If they said about lively and funny cohabitant, well there's none funny or lively about it, it's all fallen flat! As we can see Riley Wang wasn't a violist for real because he didn't know how to hold it right even for an act. They both were looking good to each other...both cute...young...on the rise...perfect. Too bad they're both also making the most dullest drama...Was this review helpful to you?
Not convincing
This drama most of the time, it was without big emotions and when it had, I was stressing with Shuwei, he was sly most of the time, and his words of love for Bei Erduo did not match his attitudes, he said he liked it her but at the first opportunity to invite a woman to his house without consulting her he did it, without even thinking about how she would feel about it. Bei Erduo was a good character, hardworking, funny at times, cute and charismatic, Zhao Lusi always rocks, but I can't say the same about Riley Wang, he kept practically the same impression the whole drama of boredom, just changed to smiles that showed off his beautiful dimple, the highest score for acting is all thanks to Zhao Lusi for him it would be lower, his acting I found weak. The couple itself lacked chemistry, the few kisses were so-so, there was nothing wow happening between them, the best scenes are of them pretending for the show, because their relationship even off-camera is tedious, the ending was a little off . Finally an immemorial drama, I would not watch it again. Was this review helpful to you?

It was bad, but entertaining enough to finish
After I watched Hidden Love right, Zhao Lusi piqued my attention because she did really great there, so i wanted to watch her early shows and this is the earliest that netflix has in their catalog. Also great, since Riley Wang is in here cuz i just checked 'Everybody Wants to meet you' too, though that drama was really trash.Anyway, the story... I wouldn't say it's trash, though they did add something new to the table with that "Fake relationship" concept in dramas, i think they just did it badly like they had an idea, but they didn't manage to put it all together really well. It was such a mess in the first half, but after the season 2 of the dating show, i wouldn't say it's good, but it got a littleee better enough for me to feel something and to be at least a littleee invested for me to finish it, and it got fast paced as well. FL's mom, i think she got introduced too early and it was soo sudden, like there are no bits of crumbs that we might get a FL family drama side plot incoming, she just came in storming and it never even got a proper resolution, because suddenly she's okay with her mom, like did i skipped an episode or something? why is her relationship with her mom suddenly like "Oh, we're good now", and the scam part with her mom, i kinda predicted that, but that scene with the other victims like those paid extras doesn't even give a shit, they didn't even put an effort in their acting. I also don't like how the moment she knew her composer crush was actually our male lead, immediately her feelings flipped, it wasn't like "now i'm in love with this guy" kinda thing, but it was sort of like you can tell she started developing some feelings towards Shuwei right away just because of his other identity. The accidents in this drama are soo predictable, how could you mess up something that's supposed to be a turning point for a character or story? I don't really know how to explain it... I've watched a lot of dramas that have accidents in it and it's supposed to come out as a plot twist, something you're not expecting and just happened out of nowhere, but here i can sense it a mile away and it's baaaad. I like how they handled the side plot with our 2nd male lead. It's not intrusive, and they didn't really focus on it that much, it's just there from time to time, that's probably why i never felt the 2nd lead syndrome. It's very cute and heartwarming, glad he got a proper closure. 2nd couple's side plot was a nice break, for how messy our main couple was, but it got messy too as it went on and i wasn't expecting it to turn out that way, though i'm glad it got a proper closure too. In the very late game, i don't know why did this, but why introduce a new girl? I get it she had some sort of contribution to the story, but i think that is unnecessary, there's a lot of ways you could've done that without adding a new character to the story, it just stretched out the last parts of the show. The japanese dubbing in the last episode was so obvious, but props to them since it matched Zhao Lusi's voice
The characters, I think they're all ok and the acting too was meh... it's passable. The one that stood out to me in the beginning was the 2nd couple, again it was nice, but it got messy as it went on, their acting was okay and then i switched to our main couple because they got better in the 2nd half. Zhao Lusi, although i like you here, because you're so cute and adorable, but this is me after watching your recent work 'Hidden Love' so there's a very big difference in your acting. In here, i can tell it's not up to par with what your current acting skills can show, i don't really have much to say about your character here, aside from 'it's okay'. Riley wang, this is the 2nd drama that I've watched that he's in and to be honest, I feel bad for him because this one too is still bad, He really needs to be given a good written and scripted drama. Also, at the same time i don't like his acting here, he's just a frowning soulless character, that's not how you act cold. You just look like you're angry all the time. I don't even think I've seen his character smile genuinely in this show and it didn't develop much at all. I don't know if i'm supposed to blame your acting or the writer...
The music was okay, i mean it's there... good. Though i liked the violin stuff. I wish they did that more.
Cinematography is ok, but i just noticed this, and not just here, but in other cdramas as well, when they do video calls, dashcam, or cctv footage stuff it's always a full on cinematography, oh my god.. are you really that lazy to film those kinds of shot? like, have an intern film those for you if you couldn't be bothered to film it yourself. In most cases, you're not gonna bother eyeing that shit, but it's just that, i would notice it every time. Stop it!!!
So yeah... overall, this drama is bad, but still entertaining enough, like the first half if you could endure, and get past that then you're probably gonna enjoy the 2nd half since that's where it'll get better in terms of story and characters. Would i watch this again? heck no!

Starting is good ,love start with fake relationship but then there is misunderstanding between them which increase rivalry and whenever they meet they fight . Her nature is little aggressive but he didn't have aggressive nature at the same time he showed no expressions too that what he was feeling when she blamed him ,he felt upset ,ashamed ,insulted what exactly he was felt didn't come out from his expressions .Drama enters the love triangle but there is no impact of this love triangle story and third wheel automatically disappeared ... At some stages he felt jeoulous but again no expressions of jeoulousy...I felt loose expressions between them..
Last episode made little disappointed and ending too.
It is so so story

The Long And The Short Of It ❣ Harmonious Romance °7.3° °VG°
This graceful little show is for fans of romance. This is my second foray into Chinese entertainment with a modern-day setting. This is my second time scratching my head. Why? Because, once again, I liked this show despite the many flaws.
For one, this show is relaxing to watch. Some would say it's slow, however, I kept choosing it over other shows because it was strangely soothing. The 24 episodes are just 40 minutes each, so they pass by quickly.
The premise is that a television producer, Mr. Yu, must find a last minute replacement couple for a show in which real-life couples compete. When things are desperate, and we need a big favor, whom do we call? Either best friends or family, right? So he calls his uncle, “Ye” Shuwei, who happens to be younger than him. Single, and very available Ye, is half of a couple. So Lizi, the co-producer, prevails upon her best friend, Erduo, to appear as the the other half.
Erduo. Played by the luminescent Lusi Zhao (The Romance of Tiger and Rose-9.8, Who Rules The World-7.5), she’s an aspiring voice actress with a goal to work in animation. Her dream is to study in Japan. As Erduo does not come from a wealthy family, she works several jobs as she tries to save up for school. That is precisely why she agrees to do the show: She'll make in 6 weeks what she would otherwise work 2 years to earn. Erduo is petite and as cute as the cartoon characters to which she lends voice. She doesn't come up to Ye's shoulder. She is smart and friendly, with a ready smile... while Ye seems like the very definition of a wet blanket.
Ye (Riley Wang from Back from the Brink), who crafts violins for a living, is a musical genius. Like many prodigies, he seems to be the brooding type. He isn't economical with words; he's downright stingy. Though handsome, he presents as condescending, bristly, and dismissive. As he comes from a wealthy family and is exceptionally talented, he hasn't had to look up to many people during his lifetime.
In part due to Ye's surprisingly convincing improvisation, Ye and Erduo are an instant hit with the audience. Unfortunately, they were not so much of a hit with eachother. In order to compete convincingly, and to dispel rumors that they aren't a real couple, they must scramble to get to know each other better.
Once Erduo meets Ye, she clearly never considers the possibility of a romance between them. /She don't like that /jerk/. It's very charming to see how Ye takes a liking to Erduo while she's oblivious to his feelings as well as her own shifting inclinations. As it turns out, Ye's a total playa. He really pulls some moves to close escrow. I was impressed. When Ye softened, he won Erduo over, and he won me over as well. While Erduo is admirable and adorable, Ye made me a fan of the show.
Erduo's friend, Lizi, wisely pivoted her life and then got to fiddle around with romance herself. As Lizi is a wonderful friend to Erduo, viewers will certainly be happy for her.
Here's some of the 'needs more practice' list:
The episodes don't appear to be split naturally. They seem to be chopped up at 40 minute intervals regardless. {I've since learned that many Cdramas are just one long movie, so this is no longer a criticism}
Wardrobe. Much of it is off. Some of Erduo's outfits are dreadful. Some are cute, though she tends to be overdressed. She asks her mom one time why she's dressed so formally- did she go to a wedding? Her mom was wearing a casual, businesslike suit. Awkward. To be fair, Lizi's outfits are classy. Ms Richbich, Lulu, always looks amazing. Mr. Yu's suits are over-the-top colorful. He's extremely handsome. There's always people that can get away with outlandish clothes. His confidence and looks put him in that category.
His apartment is awful, which brings us to....
Sets. Chinese entertainment can have odd modern day sets. Ye's house is impressive, but the decor could be so much better. (A trash can next to the coffee table? Really?) Erduo's mom's place has flea-marketish canvas paintings lined up about 7 feet high, straight across an entire wall. Kids, pictures should be put at eye level, with varied heights, or a limited structural layout. Long straight lines are for molding & borders. Lizi's place, and Ye's workshop are very sharp and the best put together sets.
Lastly, The Ending. The ending was not an ending. It sort of drifted off like all the other episodes. We can see that they are going to be fine, but they are still in the middle of so much, and things are largely left unresolved. They could have allowed for one more episode to wrap it up more smoothly. I was actually surprised to see the show had ended b/c I had lost track of the episodes.
Nevertheless, I can confidently recommend this to fans of romance. The pluses easily outplay any negatives.
