One of my first foreign dramas and I loved it!
This is one of the first foreign dramas I have seen. I really hated watching subtitles instead of seeing everything going on in the show but over the years got used to it because my father is almost deaf. So I wanted a change from the American Hallmark shows that just got boring. I ran across this show and more on Netflix and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I have enjoyed many KDramas and CDramas now and will keep watching them!Ok so this show... I really liked it even with then not so great acting and the huge mistakes especially in the parts of Riley Wang playing the violin. I have a daughter who plays so watching him try to act playing was a bit painful! Lol however, it is still one of my favorites and I have watched it 3 times now!
Storyline - I liked the story. It was not acted perfectly. Some of the parts were lacking in big ways. But I do like the story itself.
Acting/Cast - I love the main leads! Riley Wang is getting better in his acting since this show. Rosy Zhao has also gotten better. I have seen a few of their recent dramas and have enjoyed them.
Rewatch? Yes definitely! Might go for my 4th soon!đ

This is not a positive review. I donât mind if a drama is not happy but there should be reasons for difficulties in the relationships. The second mains surely had them so you could see their problems a mile away. The mains here the problem were contrived in the usual drama fashion and it was just clichĂ©. It get really tiresome to watch Chinese and Taiwanese dramas wherein the woman must chose between romantic and professional happiness. My mom had to make these decisions back in the 1960s and managed to do both. But we consistently get these goofy dramas from the aforementioned countries. You donât see this from dramas in general. Itâs just nonsense. Japan is hardly distant from China. Also when I took a job that separated me from my family I took a flight to see them every month. Itâs not difficult to have long distant relationships now.Other things I was not wild about was the English speaking actor. He wasnât a disaster but hardly A list for China. The music was not good. Also anyone with even a year worth of violin lessons would be able to tell NONE of the violin playing is approaching real. I donât expect it to be but wtf they canât give them a couple weeks to learn to bow in sync? Also the Vienna Symphony Orchestra does not order a bunch of violins. Thatâs just comical.
Last, although I know I could come up with other criticisms, despite what others claim this was typical tsundere. The guy bordered on abusive at the beginning. And of course heâs an expert in, letâs count them, violin making, violin musicianship, archery, ice skating, etc. And people wonder why kdramas are more popular.

Story: as I previously mentioned always kept me waiting to watch more it was really unpredictable,couldn't stop!They made average cliches seem special. The first few episode upto maybe 16? was very good, the story was a slow burn and showed reasonable real building of love,that was refreshing,loved that.It showed a cold Male lead who became warmer and helped the female lead in meaningful ways.It showed supportive strong parents of both the leads, the female lead's mom was a little annoying at times,but didn't really mind after a point.The show didn't have much skin ship,which was little disappointing,but they were pretty cute. I do feel however that they dragged their romance.Sometimes the male lead was so controlling and the girl just said NOTHING ,was super annoyed. I loved the story character and development of the second female lead,her presence made this show 10000 times better. Her friendship with the Female lead was so cute! Her way of solving problems and finding happiness was EVERYTHING!The last two episodes and the ending was super abrupt and didnt make sense,what was the writer thinking! Overall i loved the different unique elements portrayed on the show,was super impressed by them and a cute story about dreams and hardwork YES!!
Music: This was so off honestly sometimes the music really didnt complement the scenes and seemed so awkward,It was sometimes didnt set the emotions,was really a mess. the ost song was not bad though!
Acting: by the end of the show i was so done with the stone face of riley wang,he had the same expression for literally the whole show. I was so disappointed. I really hope this is how the character was and he can hopefully act.The second male lead character was so frustrating gosh,but i guess thats intended. I particularly didnt find any faults in the other actors. They were pretty good.
also i have to mention, they dubbed japanse in the last episode like?? didnt even try to lipsync it,,,WHAT.There were also so many instances were the no name charecters were doing random shit, they didnt shoot this properly lmao
Overall don't regret watching this show,was something new and kept me entertained ,which is the point :)
will be praying for another season!

To be honest this is not a good story ,there is no twist no fun no romance nothing .and that same shitt the ML is rich and the FM is average or poor the fm don't like the ml .and the FM looks so innocent compared to ML . but I won't say anything about anyones look .
it was fun till ep 17 -18 .it was not necessary to drag .the ep after finishing the drama I though it was a waste of my time .I don't like the drama in a simple way .and there is no romance nothing they just stay away from each other .there is only one kissing scene in this drama .beside kiss there should be some romance which was missing .
So if someone reading this review thinking of watching this drama .I would suggest not towatch this. there are many drama which can be watched so I don't recommend this ..and I'm sorry if I offend someone.

Smiley series
This series concept is nothing new. Poor girl, rich man because of some circumstances they are made to cooperate together and then eventual cohabit.I love the concept of him being violin producer and her fighting hard to become a voice actor! I just wish they've shown us a little bit more of this sides of them, and yes, we do know their passions and dreams but it would be nice to show us some in-depth, bts of how they reached it (when it comes to Ye ShuWei) and how much work and effort it takes to make a violin and when it comes to Bei ErDuo I wanted to see more than just a few japanese books, and her saying "Ohayo Gozaimasu" during her course or just standing in the booth recording. It's not that it was bad! Do not misunderstand me! I just think this professions are not so well known (especially Ye ShuWei's) and so I think it would be great to put some emphasis on them.
What I really enjoyed about this drama are all of the characters (maybe I would just exclude ErDuo's mother. She was annoying and beyond unreasonable! Grrrrr) Bei ErDuo is a normal girl with a dream and a plan for her future, she might not be a genius but she is smart, brave and kind (in the right proportions), she might be a little bit loud in the first few episodes but then you'll notice she is not the infantile, silly FL we often get in this kind of series. She is responsible and she knows how to use her brain, she will not get easily swayed, she will believe the person by her side and her own heart rather than unrelated people. What I really was happy about is that she: can cook, can clean, can take care of a sick person, can study, can work in a normal part-time job. God bless the screenwriter! A normal human being! I'm so tired of this girls in dramas being all silly and useless!
Ye ShuWei might be a little bit cold at the beginning but he will learn too, do not worry ! He is a very confident and quiet person but a very caring a the same time. When he notices that he enjoys this girl's company he do not run away, do not get cold or he don't get excessively possessive he slowly and gradually learn about her, try to understand her and learn how to take care of her and make her happy. He is not fickle! He wants for her to feel secure and he never let other people get between them! We need more characters like this. They both look after each other. Really sweet.
Let me say a few words about side characters. I will not spoil so I won't get in details but be prepared! Side story is soooooo good and I personally love the outcome. We love smart, confident people that know how and what to prioritize. This story was a really big surprise to me but a good one!
I can see the unused potential in this drama, their professions, the competition all of this was just an empty shell without much contribution to the series it was necessary because of the plot but I really wished they would show us something more.
Music ?? Didn't notice anything special or mind-blowing but nothing bothered me so I would say acceptable.
Locations and sets ... Let me tell you you'll want to live in Ye ShuWei's workshop, I almost loved it more than his real house (which was amazing too). Plus can I have his car?? Please <3 .....
Clothes ... I liked them, I find that the styles really fitted perfectly with characters and at the same time looked really good on the actors. With Riley Wang 182 cm this suits were just the icing on the cake !!! Such an eye candy <3 .
All together I think it's an easy and enjoyable series that you'll not feel frustrated with but you'll smile a lot.

Beginning good, middle ok, ending suck
Watch this because intrique by the short scene YouTube fishing me & because Zhao Lu Si and Riley Wang. Long time I hesitate to watch this because of Riley Wang, not a fan of his work, I don't know he just give me sleepy impression when I watch him, his expression for me worse than Hu Yi Tian stone face. Sorry for his fans...Got a warning when I start to watch this, s/he said a bad drama, should have listen. Haha... Cause it turn out I give even worse score than his/her.
Ok. Let's discuss the drama.
The drama at first actually kinda good, I plan to give it around 6-7 score. But the more toward the ending, the messier this drama become. And some weird plot that I can't ignore from the start make this drama even worse and worse....
The weird:
- Ye Shu Wei (SW) just willingly do everything from the beginning. Even considering his relationship with Yu Sheng (YS), it still doesn't make sense that he just willing to do everything.
- Everyone have no clear relationship from the begining. Like:
* Le Tian relationship with Bai Er Duo (ER). Like he just suddenly appear in SW house when they have live streamer & question ER everything.
* Tang Li (TL) and YS have one of the most unclear friendship in dramaland. People in my country called it 'Best friend act like girl/boy friend' or the English term more like friend with benefit. But instead TL make clear about their relationship, what she do just jealous and be a cranky girl if there's a woman who closer to YS.
* Even ER and SW relationship in the end also unclear...
- ER is one of the most have no principal girl. Like when she has to apologize in order to move to SW house, she angry but do it anyway.
- Many scene feel like they cut very roughly. Sometimes 1 scene to another doesn't makes sense. It feel like supposed to be another scene before that, but they decided heh it's not that important let us cut it & just stick next scene...
- The very rush ending. Ugh watch the ending makes me said, Heh!!!! How that happen, what happen, how can we go from here to there....Ugh really like they stick one scene to another, not the match kinda one...
But hey every drama has it's (+) poin. Here it is
The plus:
+ I really like how TL in the end stand up to her relationship with YS. & the regret in YS face really worth to be seen.
+ The 'stupid' decision ER take when she go to Japan. The speech ER give to SW is kinda special too...
Overall well if you are the fans of the actor/ess involved I think you can watch this, but if you just want drama to watch just pick another drama then...

Boring drama
This drama doesnât have any special effects, very simple story and they dragged it like anything so disappointed with the drama I love the actors a lot and saw male lead in other 2 dramas he was so good at acting but this drama he didnât had much lines also his face was nothing but robot I know his character should portray like cold hearted person but this was beyond like robot expressions but still he has potential and over came in new dramas especially in dragan fell in love with Taoist although he got second role I liked him more than Main lead because of his great acting anyway yet to see him new dramas and female lead is awesome no doubts in it and regarding script and story total non sense I couldnât find chemistry at all because they donât have such scenes only how will they show chemistry script is horrible even with the second couple they just had a misunderstand but she chosen other guy but anyway I forwarded the story too much at the end of 10 episodes so may be second lead was not good not sure on this and she chose her own happiness over him but still leads shud end together but they did wrong to second lead and first lead I donât know whatâs so good in the story I finished entire series in just 1 day with so many breaks because I forwarded this drama too much anyway I hope lead actors shud get new drama together again with good scriptingWas this review helpful to you?
- Why is it that almost the entire time this was the expression on their faces :| ??? There was very little expression shown in the acting in this one, it made it difficult to believe.
- I often asked, âWait, whatâs the plot?!â And had a very shallow answer when I thought about it.
- Some of the things that happen donât make sense. Like who would do that?
- I wouldnât recommend this drama. Mayyyybe for some light watching, but this couldâve been like 8 episodes not 24.

I had to write a review on this drama. I really, really loved it until the remaining few episodes. I was stuck on the last two episodes for weeks because I put it off due to the rushed, poor writing and directing. The beginning and middle of the drama, I was so reeled in and very pleased by how it was going. Shuwei and Erduoâs relationship were developing and there were many cute and interesting moments revolving around those two along with the second leads. I was so up for it until a childhood âshouldâve been meâ character showed up. The writing then turned a bit tacky - putting a lot of emphasis on how they were born with two different worlds. Itâs as if they bit off story plots from âBoys Over Flowersâ and âThe Heirs.â
Donât get me started on the ending. It was just so, so unfulfilling for such a good middle build-up. Iâm upset and furious at the directors AND the writers for such horrid camera work and lazy writing. The actors were great, however I wish they emoted more and ACTUALLY SPOKE JAPANESE for the parts that were supposed to be.

Não se engane pensando que esse dorama é algo no estilo "Hidden Love", aviso que não chega nem aos pés. O ML é muuuuito chato, sem expressão nenhuma a série toda, e a FL é muito passiva, então o resultado é uma chatice sem fim, falta ação dos dois lados, pois os dois são muito sem sal. Fiquei aguardando alguma coisa acontecer e morri na praia. Vå assistir outra coisa, é um conselho. Os secundårios são tão ruins que trocaram os interesses romùnticos deles, não é engraçado nem dramåtico, não tem nada que te prende e a história de "casal de mentira em um reality Show" se perdeu nos primeiros episódios.Was this review helpful to you?
Une romance simple
Je viens de terminer ce petit drama chinois, il ne sort pas du lot, mais reste sympathique à regarder.J'ai beaucoup aimé l'univers du violon, et cette idée que le personnage principal en fabrique. L'histoire est sympa, et je me suis sincÚrement laissé porter. Les ficelles sont habituelles : Le mec froid, riche, beau et trÚs grand, VS la petite, adorable, généreuse femme, mais avec des problÚmes de sous. Cela dit, ça match ou pas, mais le couple principal a bien fonctionné. Petit bémol : Cela reste une romance vraiment trÚs "sage".
Les personnages secondaires ne sont pas trop recherchés, et n'ont pas assez de matiÚre à mon gout. Par contre l'histoire du couple secondaire a été pour moi inattendue et j'ai aimé cette petite surprise.
Donc bien pour une pause gentillette au décours d'autres visionnages.
