Killer K (2011) - it’s not for everyone, rated SPG, rated X and I was not ready for it. I thought I would never see this type of drama in Korea since I have perceive them as conservative but yeah, none could stop this from airing. Truthfully, I felt gross watching this Korean drama, maybe because I was not really prepared. Been really surprised with Han Groo, never knew that she would carry such a role, but she did well. I was just shocked with the drama that I did not really enjoyed the whole experience, I am just grateful that is short.

Uncomplicated, action-packed, and doesn't get distracted by any predictable romantic pairing. It may not be intellectually challenging but it has plenty of "girl power" and it does what it sets out to do in only 3 episodes! I would definitely recommend this show if you're into strong female leads and are tired of women playing subordinate roles that are dependent on men for love and happiness. I would love to see more of these types of K-dramas but I don't think they're popular unless a man is saving the day.

Pure BADASS. Han Groo is just a whole world of awesome.
Little did I know this 3 episode show was going to take me up and down this ride of Action, Revenge, Cute, Angst… wow! Just wow.
I don’t want to spoil it by saying too much but if you think of a Tarantino movie Korean style, that would be it.
A must watch if you like action. My only criticism: Why not make this a full 16 episodes drama? It had the plotline, the actors, the twists and sequences, I wish they would actually. Although in this instance 3 episodes work perfect.

I was completely misguided by the wonderful reviews...

After seeing this miniseries and after the comments and reviews, I was confused.
STORY – it's so uninteresting I don't even know if I get it right. Short version: an innocent, unintelligent girl is manipulated into being a murderer. And she kills a lot of people, including some bad ones (innocent people will be the fruit of youth and for that we can forgive her)...
Cha Yeon Jin is born with the purpose of providing stem cells to the Criminal Kwon Do Hwan, supposedly his progenitor. Meanwhile, the leader of the boss's assassin group, Yoo Seong Ho, runs away with the surrogate mother along with her daughter.
Later, due to activities related to the bad guy's scientific research (which are reminiscent of a lot of science fiction movies), the mother Jang In Sook is kidnapped. The great protector Seong Ho and Yeon Jin kill one of the criminals. While Yeon Jin finds her mother who is murdered by poor copies of Alex DeLarge, from the movie A Clockwork Orange, the protector must have had an attack of sciatica and only appears at the end to see Yeon Jin “killed” by his former recruit, Min Jin. Then, without understanding why, the protector leaves the scene (perhaps to smoke a cigarette or snort oxygen) and Yeon Jin decides to accompany a woman she has never seen and become a murderer, with the promise of avenging her mother.
But, of course, a murderess must be literate and that's why she goes to school. At school, there's a boy who has the misfortune of falling in love with her. Great mysteries happen, such as knowing if she is good at Mathematics and if there is a waiver from Physical Education.
Ah, in the middle of all this there is the incompetent Choi Tae Yeong, a detective who appears at the beginning, doing nothing, in the middle (perhaps to attend some classes at school) and at the end, doing very little.
A lot of people are killed, which is good for reducing personnel costs, between well-choreographed scenes. In one of the scenes we realized that Min Jin must have myopia, because she hits everything that moves at long distances, but up close she is a disgrace.
In the end, the killer ends up going out with her friends and… the end is so scary that it seems to open up possibilities for a second series”!!!!!!

ACTING – there are good acting. The role of Killer K is well done, within the character's shallow depth.

MUSIC – I don't remember any.

REWATCH – no! There are countless better movies and series on revenge, crimes and murders and all the miscellaneous themes we want to encompass. For action scenes it is ok.
OVERALL – there are some interesting scenes and could be very interesting. It could be condensed into a 90' film, explore the parts of the story that seem interesting and forget about the rest.
Again, I don't understand the justifications for such high ratings. Perhaps having read them I expected something with much more quality…

girl revenge

Way too generic. Girl's mom gets killed, then she wants revenge. It's a TV movie (split into 3 episodes) so it feels fairly cheap when watching, mostly because of the sound mixing.

Stunts - 65/100 | Han Groo doesn't have what it takes to be an action star. She does try and she can take hits though, I'll give her that.

Narrative - 40/100 | Cheap writing will always remain cheap writing.

Fight Choreography - 66/100 | There was an attempt. Just about decent, if I'm being generous.

Enjoyment - 30/100 | C-tier knockoff drama of La Femme Nikita. Only for genre completionists.
