First, great cast (JGS, Park, Lee Hong Ki, Jung Hwa). Great chemstry between Park and Jung, great OST, great vocals of the actors.

I was glad that the teachers got together also. Loved the interaction between the leads, it was very realistic.

I have watched this 3 times already and still want to re-watch it.

I love it. I own it. I've watched it many times. I really don't know that I need to same more but I will. I loved the hot and spicy Jang Geun Suk and his acting was great. The series was so freakin funny, and some parts were, for me laugh out loud funny and that doesn't happen often. I also sat through many episodes with a stupid grin on my face. There were also cute moments in every episode and many sweet moments. The very cute guy characters relationship with Go Mi Num was awesome. I also loved, loved the loyalty in this. I just loved all the guys characters they were great and they fit the guys well. Till this day Lee Hong Ki is known to me as Jeremy and Jang Geun Suk I call him Hot and Spicy. Shinwoo is Shinwoo but he was a beautiful character. Every character was different and stood out to really make this a great series.

I first watched this drama while I was in the hospital. This is, by far, the first ever korean drama that I liked. And this is also the one which started my addiction in kdrama. The first thing that caught my attention was the cuteness of Park Shin Hye's character, doubled by Jang Geun Suk's attractiveness, Yong Hwa's down-to-earth humbleness, and of course, Lee Hong Ki's adorable apple bobbed hair..

I definitely give a thumbs up to this drama. The story is overall mind-boggling, with some twists and turns.. Unfortunately, I wish there was a good ending. For me, the ending was just so plain.

Anyways, this is one drama that I love watching over and over again. I admit, Park Shin Hye definitely has the capability to win the hearts of her co-stars, since she is such a simple but beautiful woman.. right, piggy rabbits? :)

Okay, this was one of the first K-dramas I've ever watched and thought I will give it a quick review. Firstly, all of the dramas that I rate in which I first entered K-drama land automatically get an extra star from me...and this one is no exception.

You're Beautiful is not for mature audiences, no one really should step into this drama for a compelling and a ocean deep story. This story is all about standing in shallow water looking for something not even in the pond...you would know what I mean when you watch this...just don't look for something that is not there.

Instead you would get a fluffy plot, with funny scenes and all around cuteness.

Thoughts:

I watched this drama three times:

The first time, I really was rooting for the second lead, the second time I really fell in love with the first lead and the third this I came to realize that Jeremy (our 3rd lead) really was the best character hands down...and probably most deserving of our female lead. That bus scene though....Hong Ki did a wonderful job!

I would recommend this for anyone that wants a light story, with unbelievable things happening nonstop and a quick laugh. The re-watch value for this fluff is extremely high for me for some reason.

Okay first I just want to give reason why I watch this. First it's because of Yonghwa and Hongki. Then I see it's really popular on DramaCrazy so I decide to watch this.

The story for me is nothing new. Gender bender from girls to boys is really common on manga. For this drama I think nothing special for the story too.
For some first episode well nothing much happen on some first episode actually so it's not bad yet not good. But then it's getting better and better when the romance begin and I start to like it. But, on some last episode (around 14) it's getting worse. But the ending is pretty good :)

I love the cast and the music ! The cast play the role well I think :D And I like that "I will promise you" song xD

Overall I don't dislike this drama but I wouldn't say it's my favorite. Well I still enjoy most of time watching this drama :D
I think you should watch this. I still recommend this drama :)

This was one of the first dramas I tried to watch, and I'd heard a lot of good things about it. But to be honest, I REALLY didn't enjoy it then. That was at the time when I really knew nothing at all about Korean artists. I couldn't even tell the difference between them.
After some time, though, I became more familiar with the Asian drama concept, so I tried to re-watch a lot of shows I disliked before. This was one of those. But after knowing a lot more about it, it was suddenly SO funny and cute! The acting was so good, I couldn't believe it! It was actually surprising at some points.
The story was amazing! The only reason I didn't give it a full score, is because of the unnecessary scenes that makes you want to keep watching it as if it never happened.
The cast really did their job, and each actor fit their character so perfectly it was scary! I especially like the way they use facial expressions and gestures. But I can't really give a full score here, either, because I do want to replace some of them, for some reason.
Music is exactly what you'd expect from such a cast. But I love the fact that they're sung by the cast, and how it personalizes everything very deeply. And the music really carry out the emotions needed.
I don't think I would re-watch this in the nearest future. Not because it was bad, but because I wouldn't be able to forget the whole story that quickly. Rather than the low re-watch value score being something negative, think of it as positive.
Overall: This is definitely one of the best dramas I've ever seen. When I'm an adult with kids, I'm going to keep the whole show on a DVD or anything, and when the kids are old enough, I'll make them watch this. Because it really does carry a very important moral that is hard to teach. I loved it very much.

The music made this drama for me. When the story became strained, a song from the OST would redeem it. With intriguing plot points and a strong cast, this show probably possesses the best 're-watch'ability of any I've come across. The tension and chemistry between Shin Hye and Guen Suk was enough to keep me watching-- and I think the show did a very good job of embracing that inevitable corniness associated with Korean boy bands and the tired 'gender-switch' storyline. Original, exciting

So far I’ve seen several dramas but You’re Beautiful was the first one I saw. I guess I probably saw it on the first place because it was a very popular drama and many people recommended it.
It’s a drama for young people like teenagers and young adults. It has a good story. As a first drama it is kinda nice to watch. It doesn’t have that much heavy themes. And the OST is really good! It mostly captivates you for the OST.

If it was now I probably would pick another drama to watch first. Not that it is bad…it’s just… not that good… at least in my opinion!

You know why it became so popular? Lee Hong Gi, vocalist of FT Island. Jung Yong Hwa, vocalist of CN Blue. And also Jang Geun Suk. Well I think this is a bit sad.. I mean, people only told me to watch it because they were dazzled with those famous singers. Not because they are good actors nor because of the story! But just because they are in a drama and they are famous! This is unbelivable…
Now that I saw more dramas after this one I can see what is a good performance or not and those certainly are not actors.
I kinda liked Yong Hwa’s performance. Not Hong Gi. I also liked Jang Geun Suk but I rather see him in Mary Stayed Out All Night. Probably because he was a really cold person in You’re Beautiful. And I HATED Park Shin Hye’s performance. Too much sloppy, innocent, childish, repetitive, ANNOYING!!

You just have to know that if you want to start watching dramas you can start by this one but there are so many good dramas to start with!! Or else.. do not watch this drama! watch it after watching others, if you’re really curious. Or else, do whatever you want! But this drama lacks so much! If I was the director I would have developed it better! It is funny though… but I guess that after seeing such good dramas as I saw after you just realize that this one isn’t that good.

you can’t go wrong with a classic

I have been in a bit of a slump lately where I struggle to complete any dramas. So, I decided to go back and watch an old kdrama. The story is a little crazy but adds to the fun of the show. I love all the characters in the band and the dynamic of them all living in the dorm. LET’S BRING BACK YEARNING!! omg the yearning was so good.
There were some plot lines that I believe went on for way too long but they tied it all together very well in the end.
If you want a classic early 2000s kdrama romance with a crazy plotline, add this to your list!

*sigh*

This drama has a lot of cliches and probably was the original one that started those I’m not sure because I’m fairly new to kdrama land. But honestly cliche is not at all the problem with this drama. I can manage with cliche dramas and still find them cute.
This drama started off fine like I knew what to expect and since I watched it in 2021 it probably wouldn’t make it to my top 3 or top 10 considering the plot is a little outdated. Pig rabbit concept was cute tho!(0.5 for that)

The main problem with the drama however is that it gets so frustrating with every passing episode. The heroine suffers so much because of her one sided love, the other guy in the love triangle also silently suffers because he’s unable to tell her how he feels but the hero can’t even decide properly till the last episode that he wants to be with the heroine. His feelings are very vague and there’s really no romantic chemistry between the leads. They seem like a pair of siblings, Hwang Taegyung being the older sibling always looking out for his little sis Ko Mi-Nam

As this drama was inching closer to the end my patience was ticking. The drama was hella frustrating and childish.

I finished this drama out of pure respect for the the leads Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye. Both of them are really good actors (The 2 points in this review are for them). The actor who played Shin woo couldn’t act. His eyes were blank. But I read somewhere that it was his first drama so I’ll let it slide.

One of my first korean dramas. I loved the actors, the chemistry seemed so natural. made me laugh, smile, and some times shead a tear as well.
very much loved the cast, young actors made such a good performance.
One thing I didn't like? maybe that there isn't a second season, would love to see how the others end up.
if you love innocent, funny, and small secret in a young drama, this is definitely one that has to be watched. :)

This drama was fun to watch and kept me guessing. The show may not have went in the direction that I wanted at all, but considering the fact that I finished it quickly and complained to the tv like the actors could hear me the whole time, I'm guessing it was great for other reasons than it matched my personal tastes.

....and why did the stylists keep messing with poor Jeremy's hair? I just wanted to fix it for him lol

The whole cast was fantastic and adorable.
