This drama was undoubtedly amazing. Even more the fact that it was only 12 episodes long. It didn't have any romance (even though it was obvious the male leads liked each other) but a lot of childhood common ground, and I liked it that way. So it focused more on the plot of the drama than any romance. I'm also a sucker for strong female leads.. This was absolutely brilliant.I cried with Do Hyun Jin at the end when Soo Hyun died.. I was honestly so sad... But this was the most fantastic thriller drama I've ever watched in my life.
I'd recommend it 100% but if you like romantic cliche dramas and not bloody action or murder.. I'd recommend not to watch..

Of course I'm a action fanatic and love martial arts and other fighting styles so when I see that this was action I clicked on it. Plus at the time I started watching this I had hit a Korean action drama drought. I hate when that happens because I know there's a lot of dramas out there like this but is hard to find.
Since June or July of last year I have probably watched close to 50 Korean dramas. I've watched a lot and have dropped a few.
This one did not get dropped.
As always I look for good chemistry between the actors and this one had it. I even liked the FL and I usually don't care for Korean female actresses because of the way they're portrayed. Any female Korean actor that can hold her on in a drama gets a thumbs up for me and the FL got a thumbs up for me.
It's been a few months since I've seen this drama but I will say this drama worked for me. I don't remember anything disappointing in this drama.
The action worked. The chemistry worked. I didn't like the ending but it was realistic. I was hoping it didn't end the way it did but I'm glad it didn't have a cliche ending.
Glad to know this one is on my favorites list

Compelling, tense entry in the assassin genre
Does "Kill It" have a particularly original story? Nope.Does it feature a dynamic performance by the main character? Uh, not really.
Is the background to the plot laid out in a coherent manner? Not even close.
Are there characters that serve no purpose and the production would be better off without? Very much so.
Is it branded well (title, poster, etc.)? That's all horrible.
Is David McInnis competent with a Russian accent? It's a 0/10. Incredibly bad.
Despite these shortcomings and some others, "Kill It" is an admirably executed show in a genre that, worldwide, has produced some incredibly entertaining pieces. Jang Ki Yong certainly has the assassin role down. In fact, he's almost too grim and silent. But he is wholly convincing physically and athletically as Soo Hyun. Nana is not a natural for the role of veteran, hard-nosed detective. It's the off-duty scenes where she is clearly more at ease in this role. Nevertheless, she is capable enough as an actor to hit the serious notes too.
Jung Hae Kyun is a marvelous villain. And the villainy that he is up too is top of the charts for bad behavior. Once his scheme has crystallized, "Kill It' really hits its stride. Moreover, unlike some dramas that like to rehabilitate or humanize their villains, not here. Quite the opposite actually and it ratchets the tension up continuously right up to the end.
The standout performance, however, is Roh Jeong Eui as, Seul Ki, the young woman taken in by Soo Hyun as a child. It is a complex character and Roh Jeong Eui is wonderful in every facet.
Despite some lowered expectations with the poor marketing and a fairly clumsy first few episodes, the second half of "Kill It" is terrific entertainment. It may not be something for all viewers, but anyone that enjoys the action genre will be pleased.

What a Thrill.
This is my first Review, and well, I recently just finished this Show and what can I say?The show is fantastic, from episode 1 you are instantly thrown into a dark gritty action packed series that has you on the edge of your seat from First To Last Episode.
This show has one of the most unique stories, I think I've ever watched. You will end up caring about the vast majority of the characters in the show by the end of it.
It's a really good watch and can be completed in a weekend, so if you need something to keep you on the edge of your seat, I fully recommend this series.

CAST/ACTING: Jang Ki Yong was just beyond amazing, the way he portrayed a complex character like Soo Hyeon. The way he portrayed most of the characters emotions through his eyes. It spoke to me. Nana definitely surprised me, never knew how great of an actress she is. The other actors did justice to their characters. Definitely a well cast drama.
OST: I personally really liked the soundtrack. They fit in well with the ambience of the drama.
REWATCH: I don't really re-watch dramas, but there are definitely some scenes that i would watch again.
SUBTLE SPOILER: I'm glad that all the people that needed to be punished, got a befitting ending. It was right to end this drama like the way it did. Bittersweet, but i think sometimes it's good to end a drama like this. It can't always be rainbows and unicorns.
I really want to see Jang Ki Yong and Nana in another drama together, more precise a romance one.
P.S. Grey (the dog) is such a beautiful dog!!

It was an emotional rollercoaster. There was a small hint of a little romance, but not as a huge theme. What I did love was how relationships were made, broken, and betrayed.
It's not THAT violent and almost everything is censored. The finale had me quite literally shaking out of nervousness and I cried for 20 minutes afterward. I would recommend this for everyone, even if mysteries aren't your forté. It's worth it.

Wonderful story, acting, ending but some major plot holes
This drama was amazing. I liked almost everything about it, but after watching it, I am still confused. Though it seems like the show is wrapped up, some things make absolutely no sense. Like, I loved the story, it was compelling, the acting was great but there were some things just missing. I kind of wish they made it at least one episode longer to address some parts of the plotOverall, I loved the main characters and their acting. Su Hyeon is a wonderful assassin-wooden log. Nana is so great as Do Hyeon jin, although really, some more exploration into the depths of her character would be wonderful. I would have liked to see more about her childhood after she was adopted. How did she meet the reporter man?
Seul gi is adorable really, and so was Philip. I wanted to see more of Philip.
Plot holes:
1) Ko Hyeon Woo mentioned that Seul gi is Su Hyeon's daughter... How? Never explained again, apart from that one line. I was waiting for them to explain that uptil the ending credits.
2) Why did Hyeon jin's reporter boyfriend die? What is his connection to Seul gi's grandfather, and what happened there? It was never explained why he died near her grandfather, as he lived in Seoul and Seul gi's grandfather did not. Even if we assume that it was ordered by Do Jae Hwan as a pre emptive measure for the article, why would he get Pavel to do it, and why was the notebook burned?
3) What is with the Blue eyes thing? We see sometimes in the starting of the drama, that the kid ML had blue eyes. Why? It was never expanded on.
4) Somehow, Philip was doing something shady, like playing both sides of the field- both with Karimov and the client, but somehow it was never explained why? I guess money, but they really could have put one scene in explaining that whole part.
5) Yoon Ji hye's sister is not a plot hole, but really they told us absolutely nothing about her.
Things I would have like to see more of:
Philip and Su Hyeon's backstory. Flashback of how they met.
Pavel and Su Hyeon
Su Hyeon and Do Hyeon jin's mother

After so long, the story can touch your heart, "Well done filmed, cast and crew" applause.
I liked this story very much. This play is awesome. You must watch it,
Kim Soo Hyun has played the role of a vet and a professional killer perfectly. The character of the main female character is weak,
This is my personal opinion ~ It has nothing to do with the story or any country
the police never holds strong point i don't know why? in any country it is always shown as a puppet of the top management which is also right. Political and money people dance actually.

Wow. This show was amazing, it's right up my alley for a shows I'd like to watch in the future. Firstoff when I read the synopsis about a killer turned vet and a detective who is trying to capture a serial killer to where their relationship builds from having known eachother in the past and then meeting again, I was very intriqued to watch it and my god am I glad I watched it. I've put this drama off for about 2-3 weeks now and I thought I would watch it.With the male lead Soo Hyun I loved his character, the actor Jang Ki Yong who played did an amazing job doing the role. Jang Ki Yong is probably one of the actors to depict characters who have a dark side to them, his facial expressions work magic on the on screen and his psycotic smile he gives off makes him perfect for these kind of roles. Soo Hyun's character was quite pitiful in this show though, he was only born to donate his bone marrow and didn't even get named and got thrown away to some russian killer to be taken care of. To be honest, killing people is always bad but I couldn't help but support him throughout the show and be exited to see what he's going to do next. His relationship with Seul Gi is quite ill fated in the fact that Pavel killed her grandfather and then Soo Hyun ends up looking after her in which she realises who he is and forgives him because she knows he's a good person at heart. I can understand why he only confided in animals and that was because they can't really betray you and hurt you compared to humans who follow human nature. His whole goal to finding out his past and then saving the children was quite pitiful to watch at times because he couldv'e just lived a normal life but they mattered more to him than anything else untill he got attached to Hyun Jin and Seul Gi.
Hyun Jin's character was also a pretty good character. She didn't really do much for me compared to Soo Hyun but I liked how she wished it wasn't Soo Hyun who was the serial killer because she had hope that he was the same kid who she knew as a child. Her relationship with Soo Hyun was ill fated because she was the person trying to capture the serial killer and it just turned out to be Soo Hyun, I did like thier interactions but I'm glad there was no romantic actions involved because it would of been a lot more messier than it allready was for them. I could tell that they both had some sort of feelings for eachother due to thier actions throughout the show.
The OST was standard but what stood out was the instrumentals that added a felling of tension and axienty to some scenes. Out of all the shows I've watched this show might be out 3 shows in which gave me a churning feeling in my stomach and a fast heartbeat and I don't know fully why but some of teh reason would go the atmosphere that this show created.
If your looking for an action, thriller show that has an emphasis on the relationship on 2 sides of the same coin, Soo Hyun on one and Hyun Jin on the other and how see how thier story pits them against eachother pyschologically even though they like eachother I highly reccomend this show.
I will most definetly rewatch this show one day as it's a short show in which was a great watch and I loved the main leads especially Jang Ki Yong and NaNa.

I saw a short clip of it on Instagram and totally fell in love with the 30-second review, Soohyun's ( Jang Ki Yong) character is so thrilling his skills and ideas are so unexpected. Since I only watched the episodes that have came out so far ep 4 left me on a hoooookkk, Hyunjin ( Nana) is such a good detective and I love how she cares about others but her mother has high expectations like wanting her to be a specific weight or making sure she is home at this time. But this drama is going to be so successful its super interesting . Was this review helpful to you?
