I loved almost all of it

I will admit I can be pretty fast and loose with my ratings. I try to rate things based solely on my opinions and my interests, so sometimes I’m not as into really popular dramas because they just don’t hit my stride.

This one, however, was really great. I loved the chemistry between all of the actors, the secondary couple was too adorable, and the FL wasn’t annoying.

That being said: I really did not like the ending and it kind of soured the thing for me. *SPOILERS**

I personally didn’t feel happy that, after 2 years of Sol Ah moving on without really moving on, Hong Jo comes back. How long can he possibly be back for? He said he was going to stay by her and keep her happy as a cat, but he comes back after years just to what…? Since there’s no other explanation my only conclusion is that he is in the same condition as before and he can’t stay human for long, so why? She’s going to be hanging on to the hope that he’ll come back forever now.

I have to be honnest I've heard of this drama because Myungsoo was going to be a lead and it was about a cat and I honnestly love both so it got me interested^^ I really like his works, been a fan ever since he acted on Shut Up! Flower boyband and enjoy most of his roles so far, this one did not disappoint, BUT, the drama itself and the flow of the story it did, and I can tell a bit of why it did so:

First, I got confused on the time skips of the whole show and story (like 10 years or 1 year on the leads? further a long the drama it shows it's 1, but at the beggining I thought it was 10 confusing amiright?) and mainly because of the whole cat/human, mostly about the way they handled with the cat's lifespan, usually it's around 15 years, but here they gave 1 year a huge deal (don't get me wrong it is, because time should not be taken for granted and maybe that's the whole point of the drama, but it is so if the cat is sick and therefore has a limited time), so I guess they wanted to show that because of the whole concept of tranformation, that has indeed a con, and in this case there's a time limit but not on a life itself, but on an existence.... borrowed time concept maybe?

Oh boy, the acting, not sure if about the cast or the roles, it has its perks and down falls, some gave into the whole vibe of dogs and cats, but with major turn points, like Doshik finding one weird but then devoting himself xD talk about a change, the whole SolAh family I mean a father who acts like so to his only daughter woah tsundere mode on..
And whats up with people hating on Jaesun? I mean from my point of view he was the only one trully genuine in this whole plot, he showed a major depth of character from an aloof young man who had hardhips in life and resentment in trusting people and giving his heart out to the fear of being abandoned, as the story progresses we learn why he is and acts like he does, we see him evolve and mature, and trully stop running away to embrace everything with a redefined grace that lacks mostly in everyone in there, he was definitely my favorite from the start 'till the end
HongJo is such a cutie in both forms, and honnestly he tried to help the ones around him, but let's face it why make this a romance? When there's so many types of unconditional love, the webtoon was about a unique friendship, companionship and not a romantic way, there can be soulmates besides couples, to me this should stayed cute in concept but with a better approach of characters, Jaesun and SolAh deserved better and HongJo deserved too

As far of music it was a beautiful OST with some cute and comedy songs along the way, and some more on the sentimental value, my favorites had to be Last Goodbye by Floody and Again Spring by Kihyun, those two hit me deepest, not a OST that I would put on a personal top favorite but where I would pic a few songs to listen too

On a rewatch value, maybe after a while, I will pick it up again, but in the back of my mind there will always be the same thoughts flowing about the whole way they made this, of course whenever one re watches a drama we are able to notice small details that we haven't noticed the first time, or maybe the way we think of it changes, but for me it's like viewing a fanfic turning into a live action, the idea and concept may be there, but the way it was made its lacking, something is missing or maybe it went on a wrong path into the whole theme that it led this to turn out like it did

Overall, its a cute drama, I enjoyed the quotes used for every start of an episode, and the cat was adorable I can't deny that, I think the cast was ok, personally I really enjoyed Myungsoo (Sergei/HongJo) and Jihoon (Jaesun) acting and moments together in the whole drama xD those were amusing, endearing and touching, although it frustrated me how can a cat turn out so "spoiled" or for the better term, ungrateful, to his savior, I mean the man was allergic to cats and still saved him, gave him a roof, and even a job and all he gets in return? Cold shoulder or to be a walking bank there, tsk cats amiright? They have never forgotten how they were worshiped in ancient Egypt and they still let us know that in these modern days, royalty creatures indeed

Thing is if you want to watch for the cat and cuteness, please do so, don't be weirded out like I was by the whole romance in there but I guess at some point it seems unavoidable, and the ending (like it happens to most dramas lately) felt a bit rushed but what to expect from the cut they made of episodes in this drama due to low ratings, despite that they managed to cut more potential fillers with that and make it all in 24 episodes or 12 if you prefer to go by that^^

PS: I hope I was helpful without making major spoilers, I mean there's much more plot than what I meantioned so don't be discouraged of watching, if someone doesn't like it, it's not obliged to watch it, but one can't ever say so without at least trying it out, so hwaiting! and also *** pardon any mistakes here written ***

PS2: I seriously considered "Kitnapping" the cat of the drama >.< he is just so darn cute hehehe (^3^)

I love the actors but... The plot

I tried to start it once, I didn't have engagement from the beginning because the plot was so weak and dropped. Then I decided to give a go because I like the actors. I finished and it was kinda boring for me ? the writers could give a little more detail about the thing of being a cat and transform into human. And we are quite aware that Hong Jo might dies at some point, I didn't like the feeling knowing that cats life is shorter. And the thing about time borrowed... Nah, I saw the plot very weak. And the second lead girl, she was just quite just because...

Cute and Charming

The best thing about this drama is its music. At first, I don't particularly appreciate how they insert the music in some scenes, but as the drama moves forward, I have enjoyed the music so badly. It adds the perfect vibe to the drama. Cute and charming. It complements the theme, as cats are cute. As a cat lover, I can't control my feelings when watching this show. I keep on giggling because of the cuteness of cat Hong Jo and human Hong Jo. I didn't read the webtoon first and straight up to the drama instead, but one thing is for sure, L's portrayal is no joke. It is hard to portray a cat, and even though there are times that I will question what is happening in the drama, I can say that they did their best to execute it better. The main characters are cute, but I'm still hoping for the second lead to end with the main female lead. They are adorable together :(((

Overall, it was an okay drama. The ending is lovely and meaningful. It's like connect the dots because you'll remember the memories they cherished and such. The main lesson that you'll get here is you have to spend time well. As a cat lover, I approved of this! However, I don't recommend it fully because I know that there are better lots of K-drama. It's a good watch, though. On the other hand, L's portrayal in "Angel's Last Mission: Love" is phenomenal, too. There, He's not also human, and the K-drama itself is perfect.

It is a fantasy drama after all

Honestly the drama was not bad, true to the plot where it explores heartbreak, healings etc. It was a good drama, where it shows growth in characters. Although there are many mediocre reviews about this series, i think you can give it a chance to watch, it really isnt that bad albeit not the best as well.

The acting of the casts were great, i mean honestly to act like a human having to keep in mind youre a cat? Definitely not easy; yet Myungsoo did it really well. Shin Ye Eun had to act that a cat is actually human? She too did it well!! But what amazed me was the actual cat, like how did they manage to capture that cat's expression dubbed my Myungsoo's voice over so well?!

So all in all, watch this drama if you have free time, dont expect it to capture you like those other highly raved/rated dramas. They are entirely different :)

Adesso che l'ho finito so come intitolarlo

ANGOSCIA ESISTENZIALE

GOOD SHOW BUT...........

OK as per me....... honestly the show was really boring in the beginning. I mean like it did get a lot better later but then the story was not as good as I thought it would be. The cast was really well but there was not much to depict in the whole story. To me..... they made a lot of episodes which did not really have a relation with the main story and it was only for making the series last a it more longer. It is not really recommended to watch this drama but if you are into the cast.... then you will find it fun to watch.

A cute drama, to watch to pass time

This was a good drama, wouldn’t label it as great. Some parts of the storyline I feel they changed to fit their narrative.
I couldn’t decide on whether to give it a 8 or 8.5 but settled for 8.5 since I would probably rewatch.
And the acting was good from all, but sometimes fl annoyed me because she failed to see what was right in front of her at times...

*wishes there wasn’t a 500 character limit*

Because I’m just typing nonsense right now

*roll eyes*

I enjoyed the OST

This is the drama where I fell in love with L, but I also had SUCH a 2nd lead syndrom... I'd say I want to adopt him but that'd be sad if we think about his life story. Bromance between first and second lead is something else, especially when you consider how much I fell for both of them. Regarding the rest of the cast, I LOVE EVERYONE. Even negative characters have an explanation for the way they act. Side couple is too cute and I think they need a show for themselves.
The story was great. It's original and funny, but also deep. I love dramas with misunderstandings and this one had a tons of them.
I am in love with every and each episode. Except the last one. This is the only reason why I didn't give it ten stars. I think the ending is too shallow and we should get more explanation. Maybe season 2!

Not just for Cat People but it is a tribute to pet owners alike

/ Actual Rating: Could be an 8/8.5/10

/- First of all, I have to praise the color grading they used for the skybox shading and the cinematography for some of the scenes that attract me as I appreciate this wonderful piece of a gem. It's just an eye candy and appealing to me.
/- I didn't know this was aired before Shin Ye Eun's More Than Friends, her role here seemed so free from the latter. I liked it a lot. However, the misunderstanding cloak to her character was evidently shown on both dramas. But this one's much better. Props to her!
/- I enjoyed it a lot knowing one of the directors was the one who directed Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol. It's highly an energetic, feel-good, and playful with my experience with 30-minute/24 part or more dramas. Loved it to bits!
/- Lastly, I enjoyed it more as a cat person.

MYUNGSOO AND SHIN YEEUN make this drama for me because they are so adorable and honestly don't look forced when acting together at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually dating because let's be awesome they are both super amazing people and would be absolutely gorgeous and lovable together!! I love the osts and how calm the whole atmosphere of the drama is. The story is pretty simple and is something I recommend if you want a wholesome drama without the needless TWISTS and craziness...

Super cute

I heard this got bad ratings, but as a cat lover, I couldn’t resist a drama about a cat who can turn into a handsome guy… and I’m glad I gave it a chance for myself! It was cute and sweet and fun, and the unique concept prevented it from feeling insipid as well as giving the couple a genuine obstacle. I'm not sure why it did so poorly; it's not a groundbreaking drama but there's nothing really wrong with it. There were a few plot-holey things and the FL could be a bit frustrating, and it dragged somewhat toward the end, but regardless I found myself smiling a lot and enjoying all the cat-like moments from the ML. I also appreciated the message about not taking your loved ones for granted.
