The drama “The Charming Step Mom (2019)” is a romantic comedy with a lot of action, heartwarming moments, good chemistry, but no real romantic scenes. It seems to be a family drama where the kids have the role of playing tricks on their dad’s girlfriend, leading couple with hidden secrets, action stemming from the lead male’s profession as a bodyguard, and some devious character bringing up trouble. The leading couple did a good job establishing their relationship and the kids did very well, too. There’s some over the top comedic acting with some really funny moments. We have a female lead Tammy, her sister Cherry asks her to go and look after her boyfriend's 3 kids, tame and train his kids, so when she got married, she'll have well behaved step children, although the youngest sister disagrees, she goes and looks after the kids, she pretends like she's Treeloj's girl friend, as nobody except Treeloj has seen Cherry (Treeloj's actual girl friend Tammy's sister) they have accepted her living in the house, The Children had difficulties to accept Cherry (Tammy) at first, the first one who accepted Tammy was the youngest and the rest followed, she looked after the kids like a real mother, and she genuinely loved the kids. There's a lot of skin ship in the drama, The Scenes between Lucifer Yang & Shailai are quite funny. During the entire drama Treeloj was San except for a couple of scenes, on EP1 and on an other episode, Treeloj was a built big fat man with curly hair and beard, where as San is a charming handsome man Tammy brought him home, after Treeloj / San pretended to have amnesia, nobody recognised San is Treeloj obviously, (on the last few episodes we learn that Treeloj's mother Plean knew it and also the little daughter) We have been given hints that little daughter knew about it on the episode where Tammy asked the little one to memorise the multiplication for 9's and little one whispered to San's ear that I know what will make you smile and on the last episode she told Tammy that she's rooting for her. There were some jokes such as one of the leads asking Bantoo whether he's eating young grass, he's telling no it's just a salad Namfon towards Shailai that she has ordered young chicken but she received cougar instead, and Shailai asking where's the cougar she wants to have one, :)) which might not be everyone's taste but I laughed so hard.
It's a happy ending, everyone learns San is Treeloj at the end. Sister tells Treeloj that she no longer wants to be Treeloj and she has been trying to tell this to her sister Tammy but she couldn't get a chance. Everything gets resolved.

Hilarious and heartwarming
If you are willing to suspend your disbelief and accept a nonsensical plot, you will likely find this light and fluffy rom-com entertaining. This show is a good pick when you don't want to be too emotionally invested. The series is more comedy with a family-focused theme than romance, with lots of hilarious slapstick moments. While the romance was a slower burn and less intense than I had hoped, there was chemistry between the lead couple. Their relationship's progression was delightful, and while there was not much skinship or kissing, their interactions were so cute. The male lead was especially charming when he teased and flirted with the female lead.As usual, Vill Sonthichai is lovely to look at, and I thought that she did well portraying Tammy/Cherry, the female lead trying to play mother to a challengingly petulant brood. I found her acting a little over the top at times, but I think that was more due to the directing. The supporting characters were so over the top and at times ridiculous that you cannot help but laugh.
It is the first time I have watched Chakrit Yamnam, and he has piqued my interest. His acting was excellent, and he was to emote and convey a lot via his eyes and micro-expressions. Unlike the other actors, there was no over-acting, and his experience really shone through as there was a certain dignity to the way he played Treeloj/San.
I did find the side relationships much less interesting, especially the one between Treeloj's daughter and his friend. I am less bothered by the age difference because there was probably a similar age gap between Treelog and Tammy, and more by the fact that the daughter was barely of legal age. For me, that subplot was unnecessary and added a twisted negative vibe to the show.
I like the featured songs. The title song has an infectious, feel-good energy that reflected the same tone of fun and positivity that was infused throughout the show. The ending song was fitting for the more romantic or poignant scenes between the main couple. Also, the usage of sound effects to highlight the comedic moments were effective.
Overall, this is a cute series that I would recommend for light watching and laugh out loud moments. I would likely re-watch it on a slow weekend.

Uma obra que foca em muitos assuntos tratando de forma superficial, poderia ter dado mais ênfase a dilemas da vida e familiares com mais profundidade ( depressão, ansiedade, insegurança, abandono e morte) profissão de risco (segurança, ser policial, Interpol) vícios ( drogas lícitas, inlicitas), tráfico de drogas na escola e criminalidade de forma bruta, obesidade e muitos outros que em 26 episódios poderiam ter tido um melhor desfeixo.Mas assisti todo o drama em 2 dias de forma leve que quando acabou fiquei triste, o elenco principal é de uma química incrível já são meus atores favoritos.
