Inhuman Kiss (2019)

I cannot believe what a beautiful movie this turned out to be. I started watching it because I was in the mood to watch something scary. Instead what I got was a beautiful story, a heart-wrenching romance, and stunning production. This movie defied my expectations at every turn. I always expected the worst to happen, but what this movie taught me is not to expect the worst out of human beings. It showed me that even in our darkest moments, we can find kindness within ourselves.

Hands off to the Thai movie industry. Seriously. If this same film was made anywhere else, the characters who were redeemed would never have been redeemed anywhere else. Every character has a part to play, no role is minor. The chemistry between all of the main leads, not just the romantic duo, was beautiful and believable. The friendship, the family values, the romance, and the empathy of this film simply blew my mind.

I excepted the Karsue to be the source of horror and jump scares. I never excepted to empathize the most with a floating head and viscera.

Watch this movie. You will not regret it.

Not your normal scare your pants off horror movie. So if you get scared easily, don’t worry about that with this movie. Think of think as a supernatural thriller/romance flick with a touch of Thai style horror tossed into it. The story is solid, certainly worth the nearly 2 hour movie length but, the pacing is a tad slow. I can’t help think that they could have cut 15-20 min and still had the same effect. Acting is good and believable. Music is your typical horror/thriller/romance variety - appropriate in terms of timing and adding to the scene. Rewatch value is just ok, 2-hours is a huge time investment to re-watch a movie. There will be no “Sixth Sense” or “The Blue Hour” (an earlier Oabnithi stared movie) stumper where you need to watch again to figure it all out. Overall it’s a solid movie that’s worth watching. Don’t worry, it’s not a straight up horror movie so if that’s keeping you from watching, don’t let it.

✨? AMAZING MOVIE ✨?

Okay. First of all, i don't really usually watch hetero movies but DAMMNNNN!!! This movie is beautiful. Its so cute and What can i say about this movie. It's beautiful! ??✨ The plot is beautiful however, if you watch this movie, you will have second-lead syndrome. It saddens me that she suddenly fell for a guy that just came to the village instead of the guy that have been in love with her all along.

*SPOILER WARNING AHEAD* Jerd really did his best to protect Sai but she really couldn't see it? Like the hell? And because of her, Jerd have to become Krahang and still protect her anyway! Noi is gorgeous, i admit it. But damn. Why must Jerd have to sacrifice a lot of shit? He is the first one to know that Sai is a Krasue and he even join the night hunter to misdirect them from Sai. Damn it.

Rating: 9/10. Lost one point because Sai kinda look blank? She wants to use that innocent face but i couldn't see the emotion behind it. She should have show her crying and sad face while parting from Noi but all she is doing is stoic face. Something missing and definitely her face that look empty. I think the one that plays Krasue before her have better acting but overall, i love the movie but the ending saddened me. THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST BURY ONE OF THE KRASUE PLANT BEFORE EAT IT STOOOPIDDDD! Anyway, control your emotion and try not to cry!

This is not a horror movie and it is not quite a romance either. It is a perfect blend of suspense with a sprinkle of gore and a tug at your heart strings.

I went into this not expecting anything really just thought it looked interesting. The Thai movies I have had the privilege of watching have a way of blending elements in the story lines just enough to make the stories interesting but not too much in any direction. I love that about them.

I don't want to say too much about it because it will ruin the feeling of the movie if you go in expecting one thing but get another. Watch it without expectations and enjoy it.
