The only thing I did not like about this is Tang Xue's overbearing personality when she was little (Kind of understandable if you regard her age? I dunno), I mean, if I were Yubing I would also flip out. Other than that, everything was pretty great that I rewatched it after a day I finished the whole series.

I liked the OST's, it was heartwarming specially the lyrics since it was about snow and such (I don't even know Chinese). I also liked the part where athletes had their own slump and how they overcame it.

With regards to the love story, it also felt like Yubing was definitely more in-love with Tang Xue. He gave more effort and understanding than her. They had chemistry and compatability that I can't imagine Steven Zhang having another lady as her partner in other dramas soon. But I observed that in kiss scenes, Janice was more subtle here than in Le Coup De Foudre.

With characters, I felt like Tang Xue's nerd roommate was quite unnecessary. It was so weird that she would suddenly recite sayings/philosophies like that. Kind off unrealistic in real life.

If I watched Zhang Yu Jian in another drama, of course I had to watch Janice Wu too, right? I discovered this drama since there were a lot of positive reviews so I had to give it a try

STORY:
The leads of this drama are childhood friends, as to all romcom dramas are. It was interesting since in the story it was the other way around, Tang Xue (Janice Wu) is a former short track ice skating girl who tries to lead a normal life in university and forget her former glory when she crosses paths once more with her childhood friend Li Yu Bing (Steven Zhang) who was now the star of the university's hockey team. Their cat and mouse bickering is a sight to see and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a revenge of sorts for the male lead's part since he felt like the female lead was kind of bullying him when they were little due to the fact that he was lanky and that she makes him do all sorts of things. Now that he is the star of the show he wanted to do the same to her. This is a story of reconnection and rediscovery. I also liked the other characters, they added color to the story. I love the fact that the female lead is spunky.

ACTING/CAST:
I don't question Janice Wu's acting ability when it comes to romcom dramas because I know she's a natural but boy Steven Zhang is a revelation. Not only is he a sight to see (he's cute!), he also is a natural and he definitely had chemistry with Janice.

MUSIC:
Though I loved the drama, somehow the OST didn't stick to me. It wasn't as iconic or maybe it didn't really have any recall.

REWATCH VALUE:
For the chemistry? Yes. This drama is fun to watch and I can say that this is one of those gems in Chinese romcom dramas.

Omg! Where do I start?
This drama is just beyond good. The chemistry between actors and actresses is a 10++++/10! They are just so cute on and off screen. Made me literally wish I had that kind of connection with someone! Just so sweet and cute!! Not to mention they all are just so talented in acting that the story felt so real. I thought the main leads actually met like they did in the story, and I just love both of their interactions! The music in this drama is just 10+/10! I am in love with the OSTs in this drama. It's just so catchy and I have listened to all of them at least 5 times right now. The main male lead sang some of them and I love every single one he sang. He is just so talented and I literally fell in love with him after this drama. The story is a 10/10 because it's just the cutest and loveliest plot ever. I love how they confessed and how they interacted. I also love how this drama contained a lot of important lessons and gave recognition to a sport not many people might have known. I literally love this drama that after I finished it, I watched it over 5 times already and is still loving it. I might even rewatch it again! I just love this drama so much! I recommend this a lot! It's funny and sweet! I want a season 2!!

I was interested at first until the actions of the FL towards the second half of the drama irked me. Her self-righteousness became overbearing, and I don't think it's the fault of the actress. Just the way the characters are written are mostly one-dimensional, particularly the side characters. Towards the end I have very little love left to what could have been a good drama. Loose ends are forcibly tied and I didn't like the way how the "bad" characters ended up getting redemption, and some even receiving praise for the necessity of them being mean. I guess I should be more forgiving and carry with the thought that there are no bad people, just bad decisions made by people, but somehow this didn't fly with me in this drama.

Now, If you're thinking of watching this show just for the romance...STILL WATCH IT hahaha. There's enough to satisfy you, but you might not enjoy the show as much. Now, if you're looking for an inspirational romantic comedy about achieving dreams, YOU WILL LOVE THIS.
It took me a while to pick this up, I don't know why but I wasn't interested in watching it at first. I got into a drama slump and said let me give this a try. This show really spoke to me on a personal level, it really inspired me and I'm just so happy I watched it.

Why else should you watch?: DENG LUN. Yes he had a cameo in this. When I saw him, I screamed. I love him so much and if you're a fellow lover, I say start this just for his cameo.

CAST: AMAZING. It's my first time watching something of Steven Zhang and I am not disappointed. I will be looking out for his shows. Wu Qian (Janice) is one of my favourite actresses so...of course I loved her here. The supporting casts also did amazing jobs. I especially loved Da Jiang (Cao Bo), Xiao Liao (Qin Tian Yu) and Yue Wei (Han Jiu Nuo).

OST: ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. A 10 from me

STORY: The story is about dreams, failure and setbacks and how you can stand back up. As I said earlier, this show inspired me as I've been really down and lost especially with the current world situation. I say give it a try. You'll be hooked within the first 5 episodes.
The effects and animations were so cool and creative. Kudos to the team. They really outdid themselves on this one.

Rewatch value: I know I'll be re-watching this sometime in the future.

i haven't watched a modern drama in a while and skate into love kept trending on weibo so i decided to check it out. i consider it my rebound cdrama after being left emotionally depressed by the last one i watched and it didn't disappoint.

storyline:
i really enjoyed the whole ice sports theme, not a very common one when it comes to tv shows. the enemies to lovers plot is a favorite of mine and tx and lyb's relationship was a very good example of that. their bickering in the beginning as well as the little childhood memories made a super sweet and fluffy first couple of episodes. for me, everything was nice until around the time they finally got together and that creep bian cheng showed up. the amount of times i wanted to throw my remote at the tv during episodes 30-40. . .
the plot become a tad bit too cliche for me and you honestly could've predicted a lot that happened in those episodes. i disliked the constant cameos with the side couples and oh my god bian cheng and yu yan completely annoyed the heck out of me. i think, had tang xue and li yubing actually talked about everything (this honestly goes for every drama i've watched, these characters need to learn to communicate!) they wouldn't have had that misunderstanding and lyb might have avoided that injury. even if tang xue couldn't tell him about yu yan's situation, she could've explained it better and not just straight up lied to his face about exactly what she was doing. the ending was a bit disappointing for me, given that the doctor literally said "he might not be able to return to the state he was at before ever again" and then boom, two years later and yubing is all fine and back on the rink again.
overall the story was pretty good with a few things the directors really should've clarified and fixed.

cast:
wu qian is a really good actress. tang xue is not a easy role to take on. her outspoken, sometimes even brash way of standing up for herself and others can easily annoy some people, but wu qian depicted it quite well. li yubing's actor is, i think, fairly new to the entertainment circle, but he played his part quite well. supporting actors are great, and jiang shijia made me laugh so hard. he definitely fits the "best friend role who's only there for comic relief" stereotype, but i enjoyed his parts in the show anyway.

music:
10/10, i love the osts. they are well suited for the theme of the show. the opening song has the competitive and youth-y feel of college aged athletes striving for the top. the other songs were super sweet and i think depicted tang xue and li yubing's relationship quite well. snow is falling by zhou shen is definitely a personal favorite of mine.

rewatch value:
not really sure about rewatching this one, i feel like the hilarious yet cheesy humor might get old after the first time and just seem cringy. howver, i think the lighthearted plot would be a good distraction and might rewatch the show if i ever need to recover from watching particularly angsty wuxia/xianxia ones

This is a fresh story which inspires us to achieve our dreams. the chemistry between the leads is amazing. the two of them love each other a lot but like to tease each other too. It’s a special type of emotional experience, watching a drama like Skate Into Love, which has solid strengths yet also a fair share of wobbly flaws. It took some serious consideration for me to establish how to reconcile all the positives and negatives; but after watching the conclusion, I can say that for its genre, Skate Into Love can stand tall in its field.

The basis of the plot is a concoction of classic rom-com tropes. The leads know one another from early childhood and, upon reuniting years later, their relationship becomes an “enemies to lovers” affair. This show's primary differentiating factor is its inclusion of ice sports, which dictates significant plot points and is crucial in the growth of several characters.

Cutest and Funniest Couple ever

This is a year old drama, i didn’t watch this at first because i doubt it since i see there are too many episodes for this drama(I thought there would be countless of misunderstanding/ sad/dramatic scenes) but little did i know i almost miss one of the most beautiful drama ever. I’m glad i gave it a try after finish watching The day of becoming you because i fell deeply in Zhang Xincheng acting(and his face ofc 🥺).

This is more than a sport drama, it was about an adult who was once gave up a dream because of personal reason and pick it back up. Tang Xue and Li Yubing are the most realistic couple i’ve ever seen in drama. They got each other back and encourage each other to fight for their dream. They are the sweetest yet the most funniest couple too ❤️ Their chemistry together is just too perfect. Again I am impress by Zhang Xincheng acting as Li yubing especially the kid version, it was the funniest scene i’ve ever seen.

Besides the main couple, i also love Meng huan and Xiao liao couple too. They stay together through thick and thin and become a better version of themselves for each other and it is the sweetest thing i’ve ever seen too.

Moreover, i also love Yu yan character. He’s just so fragile that i wanted to protect him at all cost 🥺 i’m so glad that they give a little story line for his character to develop.

Although I didn’t like Bian cheng character very much but in the they did give him a chance to become a better person so this drama literally have no villain.

Ohhh almost forgot one more thing i need ti mention. Even though there are side characters who have a crush on both the main leads, i love how they didn’t confess their love to then because they know that those two are the strongest couple and there’s no use in confessing 😭

There are too many wonderful thing exist in drama and to those who are not yet watch it GIVE IT A TRY ASAP🖤❣️

I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining this was, despite my prior reservations that it would be nothing more than light fluff, lacking any serious themes. The drama has a sweet romance, an interesting story and some deep messages regarding friendship, sportsmanship, mental health, sports injuries, the importance of truth in journalism, the dangers of cyber-bullying, and the misunderstandings that can swallow up love and leave behind pain.

The acting was superb, and I loved the humor as well. Li Yubing's facial expressions were everything! I found myself chuckling quite a few times. Tang Xue's personality needed some getting used to, but I loved the little moments of growth and maturity she showed. Her friendship with her roommates and Little Liao was adorable. I loved every moment they showed of speed skating, figure skating and ice hockey. The cinematography and the filming was beautifully seamless. I especially loved Li Yubing's interactions with his coach. They were so endearing.

There were a few things which bothered me though. I did not like the interactions between Zhou Ran and Bian Cheng at all and I found their motives for acting they way they did so weak that it seemed just a waste of time to pay attention to them. Bian Cheng was just a hot mess, and his facial expressions did not convey his feelings well enough. His obsession with Tang Xue was just cringey to watch, and Zhou Ran was such a trope that it was hard to take her seriously in any way. There was absolutely no need for the ML and FL to have love triangles. I was also put off by Yu Yan's unhealthy attachment to Tang Xue which no one saw fit to correct. Li Yubing getting beaten up by the opposing team's goons was expected and a little boring. The drama did lose its momentum towards the second half, but not enough to make it entirely boring.

Overall, this was a solid watch.

Loved it

This is the kind of drama that you become so engrossed with, you finish watching and feel an emptiness in yourself and don't know how to go :D The story was this good for me.

Congratulations for makind a drama that shows Chinese people's dedication for the sports. Personally I really liked the whole "students-starting their professional career sport athletes" storyline and how it was written. I think it was realistic and showed all sides: the high and happy times, the struggles, pain, hardships. Always afraid to start dramas with so many episodes, but in this case it wasn't too much and didn't drag. I REALLY loved that even though there were love triangles (and quadrats:D), evil plottings and all things usual, things got resolved, people communicated, and thank god no big and annyoyingly unbelievable issues happened that are in most cases present in romance dramas. The emotionally difficult scenes were nicely balanced with the fun parts.
Every one of the main leads' and supporting chatacters' acting was good. Nicely portrayed charachters, great friendships and connections. Nothing to day: charachters were great. People in this drama can act!
Steven Zhang and Janice Wu what can I say: great acting! Loved loved loved that real affectionate scenes were written and how the leads played them (tho Janice was a sometimes a little like the typical chinese FL who don't know how to kiss) . Steven Zhang was so great acting the intimate-affectionate scenes too, really nice kisses there. ű
Usually I feel with almost every chinese and korean drama that couple scenes are not really affectionate, intimate and the leads can be kind of...distant. I don't know maybe because I'm European and I expect better intimacy level because helloooo you are boyfriends and girlfriends, act like it duh. Okay sorry for my ranting :D
Also a favourite of mine was the use of nickname in this drama, because tbh not many dramas, well almost none of the dramas (or at least what I watched) use any endearments and nicknames.
Fell in love with the songs, especially with "The moment I met you"
Will definitely re-watch, because who wouldn't want to see Steven's acting (swoon)

Empowering. Great story

This show is unique. I'm normally not into sport-shows at all, but I took a leap with this one because I am a big fan of Janice Wu. (Also, I have never seen Steven's Zhang's work before this, but was pleasantly surprised with his acting!) Despite it being a genre that I don't normally go for, it is actually very good and more than just about sport (ice skating & skating). It has its serious moment but also fun-lighthearted moments. I love the gradual relationship build-up between FL and ML. It was very sweet and the chemistry was 100% perfect. The storyline is very motivational, empowering, and has a good theme about believing in yourself and staying true to yourself in reaching your dreams.

I love especially love the interactions between FL and ML. It started as a typical bickering relationship that flowers into a beautiful, strong ship. The character development is very smooth and makes you love the characters more each episode.

I want to give props to the main leads who put a lot of effort in playing their roles. Both Janice and Steven took lessons and learned ice skating for this role. Their dedication to their part for this show really shows in each of their schemes. I love their professionalism and talent! The cast chosen for this drama is perfect.

If you love a good story with a nice, gradual (not too slow) relationship build between leads, and not too heavy on the angst, this is a great drama to try.
