Oh Hyun-jae (Jang Hyuk) was a genius profiler who cracked many cold cases using his unsurpassed profiling skills. One day, his fiancee was killed in an explosion set by a serial killer and Hyun-jae lived in seclusion after that. Five years later, a new murder takes place using the same method as that serial killer. While investigating the case, team leader Hwang Ha-young (Jin Seo-yeon) meets a detective from the countryside, Cha Soo-young, who has a photographic memory (Choi Soo-young). She introduced Soo-young to Hyun-jae and they work together to go after the serial killer.
Now they both team up to catch the real culprit behind the these murders.

This was great to watch after all the romance dramas and cutesy couples. It was intense and storyline really interesting and keeping in the edge.
BUT it did felt like something was missing, I really don't know what but after the last episode it did felt a little bit rushed and not satisfying.
That I wouldn't mind a second season.
SPOILER
But the biggest thing that took my interest was Eum Moon Suk his acting was really captivating and interesting. I can't believe he has been appearing in movie/dramas only three years. His acting and portrayal were amazing. How could he change up his character so easily between the friendly cop and serial killer? I cant wait to see his upcoming dramas and movies.

Acting was pretty good and the music was fine. But all in all, I definitely do not recommend this drama. Don't waste your time, there are much better crime dramas out there.

I started watching this drama with no expectations which is probably the reason why I managed to thoroughly enjoy it. The description wasn’t really detailed but another police drama, sure, I’ll give it a go.And oh boy, did I get hooked.
Cha Soo Young is a character I had a love hate relationship with. You can see how genuine and determined she was but sometimes I thought to myself “how the heck did she manage to finish the police academy.” In the end, I ended up actually adoring her. (Bonus points for actually resembling a detective and not a runway model from a Police themed collection!)
Hwang Hwa Young is a character who didn’t manage to have her full story told and I am a bit disappointed, although I absolutely loved Jin Seo Yun’s acting and the portrayal of the character! I always appreciate a strong woman in a drama and she definitely delivered.
Oh Hyun Jae is just a whole rollercoaster ride, that’s all I am going to say. (Jang Hyuk’s acting was also amazing, God, it was so good.)
I liked the storyline, but I feel like the writers had too many ideas at once and instead of narrowing them down, they just rolled along with everything. I felt like a lot of backstories were only partially told, I wanted to know more about the Ji Min and Chief relationship, the relationship between Hwa Young and Yi Soo. The ending felt like it was rushed, as if they wanted to expand more but they ran out of tape or something.
Aside from that, I absolutely loved the chemistry and the subtle portrayals of friendship and closeness between character, especially Hwa Young and Detective Man Soo, and just Team 2 in general, but that’s just probably me. I also really enjoyed the weird relationship between Soo Young and Hyun Jae, especially in the last episode.
My advice to anyone wanting to watch it: start it with absolutely zero expectations and just go with it. A lot of people seem to have had high hopes and ended up disappointed but I found this drama to be pretty enjoyable and involving.

After the mid-part the actions of some main characters became inconsistent and illogical. It makes sense if they are mentally ill, but they were not presented like that. Still the good parts prevented me from dropping and the pace picked up.
Then towards the end nothing makes sense anymore. I almost rooted for the evil guy since the other characters were not much better than him :
- The male lead continues to be obsessed over something stupid and irrelevant and disaster follows.
- The team leader wants to cover the sky with her hands to hide her story but if she only tells the truth it will hurt for a few minutes then she will be relieved and everyone will forgive her.
- Everybody think he/she can be alone with the most vicious criminal (but to arrest some other characters they deploy 50 policemen)... Well some tried that before and nobody's there to talk about it...
In conclusion I had to drop the show at episode 14. It was a really good show on many aspects, and if you can put up with nonsense you might be able to watch it until the end.

This is probably the most absurd movie I've ever seen. The whole time I was wondering if it was some kind of parody. What are the chances of meeting so many psychopaths in one city and a special investigative unit made up of the stupidest cops?
The lead female cop in the leather coat comes across as the most badass, but when she meets the killer she shits her pants and lets him get away.
Every secondary killer basically kills with a hammer.
Poor silent kid is kidnapped by psychopath 1, within 24 hours he gets to psychopath 2, and meanwhile psychopath 3 buries psychopath 1. Seriously?
The body is hanging in the woods 2 meters above the ground in a tree with no lower branches and it's closed as a suicide.
And there's plenty of nonsense like that.
Whoever wrote the script probably drank a lot of soju, otherwise I can't explain it.

It was extremely good crime drama except final 2 episodes. Their i think writer switched off their brain and did a story round off. Every scene in those 2 episodes has either logical or story or time line or some other irregularities. Some to point. 1. Senior officer telling team 2 to kill their colleagues. 2 profiler teaching teens where as by time-line he himself should be in college. 3 team leader unable to shot criminal on shoulder when he has remote switch not Deadman switch of a bomb. 4 profiler leaving clues for team one then blocking them with no palpable reason. The list is too long... Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing drama with an amazing villain
Tell Me What You Saw is a South Korean drama with thriller and crime investigation elements that's directed by Lee Jong Hyeong. While the synopsis given on My Drama List and Viki doesn't make it sound like anything exceptional to other dramas, it's actually a very well-written and executed story with superb acting, that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Before getting addicted to this amazing show, I stopped watching two other dramas with good premises because of a few things that I found annoying- in both of them the detectives lost their wives which was what would drive them to do what they had to in order to catch the killer but they would also ignore anything the main female lead would tell them in order to help them. I was so glad when this turned out to NOT be the case with Oh Hyun Jae who also lost his wife because of the serial killer. While it did drive him to find the culprit and punish him, he wasn't acting irrationally and it wasn't what motivated him to be a good profiler, he was already all of these things and his motivation only made him stronger. This series is so far the most exciting series i saw from any kdrama so far.. I haven't skipped any episodes.I hope writers would maintain the goodness in every episodes, the unique patterns of every crimes, the different strategies the profiler shows.
I usually skip episodes on kdramas everytime it gets boring..but this one. I never get to skip one., I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes actually...
i hope this would be shown on netflix so it gets more viewers.. This one deserves a spot.
It's actually my first time to see Choi Soo young, and her acting needs improvement. but overall it's good (the story).
I often watch jang Hyuk's series and it's the reason why i stumbled to this one.
The story is about a young detective who has photographic memory and a top criminal profiler who joined forces
to solve crimes.

Bad police drama
This drama was hands down the worst portrayal of police force I've ever seen. They were unbelievably bad at their job, even for 'police' drama standards. This is the most important aspect the drama needed to nail but failed to do so and resulted in a lukewarm detective/thriller drama. Both Soo Young's backstory and the main villain were lame and disappointing. The only redeeming quality was its cast, specifically the main cast, other than that the drama is straight up a failure. Not even Jang Hyuk contribution helped it. Speaking of which, Jang Hyuk looking like professor Snape in the poster lol.Was this review helpful to you?
