Simple Yet Effective

I believe that the series has a simple premise (hopefully) and as a person from a country that does not have much of these kind of stories, I laud the producers and the artists for doing a great job. It is my own opinion that sometimes a story does not have to be original, nor complicated, nor too realistic for it to effectively entertain. Sometimes, light and simple storytelling is enough. This series is becoming more interesting. The acting is on point, the comedic timing is on point, the gestures are on point and the way Sarawat looks at Tine says it all. It keeps me wanting for more and probably after it has ended I will be with those who wanted another season. One will eventually wonder what will happen years after they've become official.

I have read few chapters of the story translated to the English language and I have noticed some departures made but those do not bother me at all because I believe that the changes do not really affect the flow of the depiction in the series. We should remember that in the novel, the reader what the protagonist especially Tine thinks and feels. In the series, we can only see it in their expressions and gestures and we should be thankful that the actors as so good in portraying their characters.

Wasted Potential

Writing reviews to cope with watching shows that started off on a good, promising start but gradually got worse over time? It's more likely than you think. No but in all seriousness, the fact that I started this show towards the end of December 2021/early January 2022 and STILL to this day, can barely bring myself to finish it says a lot. Because if you told me, the person who was up at 6:00 in the morning during winter break feeling completely blown away by how great the chemistry between the two leads in episodes 1-6 was, that the rest of the episodes would be nowhere near as good, I wouldn't have believed you. I mean how could I? The story was sweet, lighthearted, and romantic, and the acting from Bright and Win was pretty believable and convincing. I mean the sparks were flying through the screen for God's sake! But alas, all good things had to come to an end, and episodes 7-11 (Around the time Tine and Sarawat started dating for real if I remember correctly) happened. Like I know what you're thinking. That doesn't make any sense. How could the show get worse if they're finally dating for real now? Weren't you rooting for them? Well lemme tell you.

In my opinion, one of the biggest reasons why I think the quality of the show really started to go downhill when Tine and Sarawat became official is because to me, it felt like the writers didn't know what to do with Tine and Sarawat's relationship once all the tension and pining was out of the way. It seemed as though they focused so much on building those things up, that they didn't put enough thought into where to take Tine and Sarawat's relationship after. In other words, what I'm trying to say is that at this point, the story began to lack some much needed direction, AND IT SHOWED. Case and point? The mess that was the whole love square of drama with Mil and Tine and Sarawat and Pam. Like look I get it. Couples are going to face obstacles, things are going to test them, but did we really need that? No. It was super unnecessary, like almost Korean Boys Overs Flowers levels of unnecessary drama (If you know you know). Not only that, it was just plain frustrating to watch, especially knowing how much potential 2gether had early on. Had the writers just stuck to Tine and Sarawat's development as a couple and how they grow with one another as people now that it's no longer fake dating, there's almost no doubt in my mind the episodes following episode 6 would have ended up being a thousand times better than they were.

Another thing. The chemistry. I really don't know exactly what happened to it because it was genuinely amazing at first (Some people say the scenes towards the end of the show were the first ones the cast filmed so maybe that's why?), but without even bringing up the high five scene, I can certainly agree that it was off in the last few episodes. And because it was off, I think that was also why the quality of the show declined when Tine and Sarawat actually became a thing, as ironic as that sounds. All in all, it's a shame cause I initially did enjoy this series quite a bit. So much so, if it hadn't turned out the way it did, I would have rated it a lot higher.

TLDR: Fake dating stories, just like angst, are good, but only if done properly, the writing in the second half of 2gether is truly my villain origin story, and although this show was a letdown, I'm glad it introduced to me to Scrubb.

the fluff was all we needed to get us through this pandemic and i'll be forever grateful for the team. although it wasn't perfect in terms of plot (and the ending), a light-hearted drama was perfect for this time, especially since it brought so many fans to the bl world (including myself, of course). i'm tired of people hating on 2gether just because it's cliché or it isn't like their favorite bls. the fluff and angst was just right, and we all need a laugh in our lives, right? the plot isn't that great, and i've got to agree people started watching 2gether because of the casts, but they really did a good first impression for me, especially bright and win. so if you want a light-hearted romance bl, this one is perfect.

Okay. So this is my FIRST impression on this movie..

*Their chemistry is 1000/100
*They're fucking good looking
*The story from 1-9 is full of sweetness and "kilig" moments.

Now, upon finishing the whole series, I was kinda disappointed. I feel sorry for Win and Bright for this but the story is not that entertaining from Ep. 10 to end, if I'm not mistaken. The story was fast-paced that there's like a lot of unclear scenes that needs to be addressed.

And because of the story of the series, their chemistry starts to fade, this is only my own opinion, okay? I can't longer see them as couples but as brothers. Like, there's no spark on them from Ep.10 or I think Ep.11 ..

If ever they're going to make another series for this, they need to think a better story to bring back their chemistry as couples. Seriously, I'm really, really disappointed on who ever made the story. And I really feel sorry both Win and Bright. I hope people will still like them and disregard the series.

Again, I swear, the story is disappointing and not the actors.

Beautiful Cast, Great Stories, Weak on Romance

Thai film schools turn out some great cinematographers and "2gether" is no exception, with stunning visuals, augmented by a beautiful cast. But the audio production of these dramas always leaves a lot to be desired. A common flaw is the body microphones that get bumped on any kind of physical contact. In this series, all of this could have been pretty easily fixed as there was rarely any important dialogue going on. In Hollywood they do extensive ADR and foley replacement to fix these gaps. It really takes you out of the moment when you hear mics bumped and clothes rustling. Another problem with the sound is mixing background music with in-scene music that's in an incompatible musical key. Who thought that was a good idea? Anyway, with that out of the way, "2gether" was one of the most enjoyable BL dramas I've seen. Other reviewers have pointed out that we never get to see much physical intimacy in this one, and that's a shame because the rest of the drama is firing on all cylinders. But I'm going to give the producers a pass on this criticism because I suspect this is a nod to commercial pressures to play down anything that feels "too gay" for a conservative audience. Aside from the one rather stereotypical ("fem") guy, its refreshing to see bromances portrayed without much gender role baggage. I think this is a first step to transitioning a mainstream audience to higher levels of romantic bromance in the future. Overall, a solid 8.5 due to passionate performances by all of the key actors and good direction.

I don't know

This series is very known because of its actors, but I can say that the series speaks for itself.

Story: First 5 episodes I really like it but when it now in the middle the downfall of the plot is now all I can see, I think the story is not that great as the storyline go further, rather than other GMMTV series especially the BLs.
Acting: Their acting is very lowkey, just like not that great but I really like how they portrait their character, The only thing I love here is Green on how he really makes the series colorfull.
Rewatch: I think I never gonna rewatch it because the series lacks a storyline that will give me the reason to rewatch it.
Overall: Overall the character really make their portrayal great but I think the acting is not that good and the plot as a whole.

Sigh. So I just finished this drama tonight. And I have a lot of thoughts. So here we go:
I'll agree with most of the consensus on here that Eps 1-11 are the better ones though there's plot holes and the editing left a lot to be desired. Those many camera shots/zooms in certain scenes gave me whiplash and in some moments the episodes felt like they had been butchered tremendously. I mean characters went from A to Z without any real development at times. I understand the plot needed that at times like the reveal of Sarawat's pov in episode 11 yet I felt lost in certain areas at times while watching in other episodes. It just felt like major scenes had been cut because some stuff didn't make sense. I was left asking myself wait was something major cut here? darn... I'm lost lol. The 180 change in Sarawat starting with ep 12 came out of nowhere too I was left going: HUH?
Like many I thought the chemistry between Bright and Win was amazing those first few episodes then it just....... I don't know. It fizzled the last two episodes along with the story line. I've seen people say that Bright checked out in the end, I agree but so did Win. Both were so eh in eps 12-13 I felt nothing in their scenes together or alone. I wonder if it was due to them having issues with m/m intimacy or was it something else? did they both hate where the script was going with the inclusion of Pam? Maybe. Who knows what really happened.
Now, it sounds like I'm complaining way too much and that I hated 2gether lol. No. I didn't episodes 1-11 have to be some of my favorites in a BL series and had it ended in episode 11 I think I would have rated this series higher but alas.....
If I do a rewatch anytime soon I'll ignore those two last episodes and stop at 11. Better for my enjoyment of this story. That's what I recommend others to do too if a rewatch is wanted Overall I'm giving this a 7.5/10 because of the last two episodes and some of the plot holes. I thought the acting was good enough up to episode 12 then it just went downhill with the rest of the show smh.

Best BL by far

Okay so I've recently gotten into BL(for some reason I didn't think they existed, thank heavens I stumbled upon them) but I've watched a lot of BLs since then. 2gether has got to be my no.1 BL of all those I have watched.

The show was cute and had it's fun and serious moments. Bright's(Sarawat) acting was really on point in this drama, after the first episode you start to realize that there's more to his story than what meets the eye. His actions and facial expressions gave away so much but because you don't know the ending your mind starts to wonder more and more and more about his true feelings for Tine. When we get to episode 6/7 your mind finally gets to relax because all the puzzle pieces are finally fitting together. If I had to give the award for best actor it would be to him, he nailed his role.

Win(Tine) also did well in the show especially for his first ever drama. There were parts where his acting was a bit awkward but only minor parts if I'm being honest. Tine is this out going, oblivious guy, happy go lucky etc and Win portrayed him well.

THE POSITIVES
What I loved the most was the story line, it was simple but so heart warming to watch. I liked how Tine is completely oblivious to Sarawat's true feelings but at the same time it's like he was aware of his feelings for Sarawat but wasn't really paying attention to them?(idk if this makes sense).

I loved how cute Sarawat could be, to everyone else he is this cold guy who seems to not care about others but to his friends and Tine he is kind of a dork. The boob grabbing scenes were to die for, the killer lines such as: "keep staring at me like that and I'll kiss you til you drop, you're annoying", "If you were my boyfriend, I'd kiss you from your hair to your shadow" had me rolling off the bed. Especially the first line I quoted, like why would someone you met just that day be annoying? And because of that thought you can't help but click to the next episode in hopes to find out.

Tine not being aware but at the same time being aware of his feelings towards Sarawat was gold to me. Some scenes he'd be angry at Sarawat for saying or doing something to him, like the first time they kissed and then Sarawat passes out. Then there would be moments whereby he'd be blushing at the things Sarawat did or said. I love how he opens up to him about his feelings for the first time in episode 6 and kind of runs away from him after realizing that the cats out of the bag.

I liked that their relationship wasn't sexualized a lot, it gave us kissing scenes and the super intimate scenes were left to our imagination.

The friendships between the characters were nice as well, super supportive and caring friends though sometimes it got a bit too much but in the end they made the show more romantic 'cause our main couple now had to prove to their friends and each other that they truly love one another.

The comedy was gold, the romance was gold, the cuteness was gold as well.

THE NEGATIVES

What I didn't like about the show was the side couples, it was fine in the first few episodes but the more you went in the more I felt it was taking our view of off the main couple.

I also didn't like that there wasn't much skin ship between Sarawat and Tine. I think they kiss 4 times in the whole 13 episodes, yes they cuddle and sleep in the same bed but at some point you as the viewer start to want more. There were some scenes where I thought a kiss should happen but instead we got a pat on the head from Sarawat (last episode when they get back together). Then there's Tine always saying no to a kiss or being intimate, like I get it but at the same time 90% of Sarawat's advances were rejected by Tine. The plus was when he allowed Sarawat to grab his boob at the café, that made me really happy.

I would rewatch the series but not the last 3 episodes(just the happy moments). To me those episodes felt like fillers, like: okay we gave them fluff and comedy and some drama but not enough drama. Let's add this random girl into the story line and rattle their relationship. Even when we watch the scenes of when Sarawat first fell in love with Tine we don't see her at all in the back ground or next to Sarawat. The last 3 episodes would have been way better without her and the trust issues that arise between Sarawat and Tine. The writers could have focused more on the love song instead of adding an extra character on top of that. If they had focused more on that those last 3 episodes would have been the best out of the rest in my opinion. It would have been more romantic and funny and cute.

I also didn't like how they played down the romantic scenes. Sarawat would say the deepest things to Tine that had my heart melting and Tine blushing beat red and then he'd kill the mood by saying: Do you think I just confessed my love to you?(episode 7). Like, we already know that you meant it so why take it back?
Or when he said: If you were my boyfriend, I'd kiss you from your hair to your shadow. Yes, Tine tries to brush it off by saying he is a perv, but you can see that he was affected by those words. Instead of saying something extremely corny and cliched that would have made Tine blush even further he down plays it by saying it was a practice line for when they run into Green. There's so many scenes in which this is done that I just want to crawl in the screen and yell LIES! ALL LIES!! but it's fine, even though I didn't like some of those they still added romance to that scene.

The ending, I wanted more for the ending. I feel the side couples had better cute endings than our main couple. Yes, they are playing guitar in front of the new club members but how much has their relationship progressed after a year?

Over all, I loved this BL. It might seem like I have more negatives than positives but the positives outweigh the negatives. We get our happy ending for everyone and I felt sad once I had finished it. I justed wanted someone from MIB(Man in Black) to come wipe my memory of 2gether away so I could watch it again for the first time.
It was beautiful and something I recommend you watch

The beginning is great. The ending? Not so great.

I have mixed views about this drama.

First I would like to start off with all that disappointed me. And that would be the last few episodes.

The character development and their relations were suddenly messed up.

I was lured to watch the show because of the cute chemistry between the two leads, but in the last episodes all that was left was angst. Disappointing.
You should not built up a nice chemistry and cute characters only to push everything into a pit full of angst.

Something that made me more sad than disappointed was the fact that Tine, the ever cheerful, happy-go-lucky guy suddenly became a paranoid damsel in distress, not being able to take a stand for himself and waiting for Sarawat to 'save him'. Suddenly a clear line was drawn between them, Sarawat : the alpha, and Tine : The Omega. Freaking ridiculous bs.

It wasn't the best decision to bring in the characters like Mil (Third wheel eyebrow guy) and Phukong (Sarawat's brother). I found the formaer clichéd and the latter unnecessary. Just my opinion.

Also we never came to know why Type was crying. Boo.

Now, coming to the more pleasant and delightful part of the show that actually made me go through till the end.

Tine and Sarawat. My heart.
Cute guys, cute chemistry and really cute smiles.
And all that cuteness up till the part where they move in together was 'the stuff'.

Their friends being so nice and supportive is always a pleasure to watch.

Sarawat's one sided love for Tine was so cute.

Also Tine and Sarawat. Oh did I mention that already? XD

I would definitely ewatch it anyday, but only upto the part without the angst and sudden bad changes in the personalities of the characters.

Lastly I would like to add, the cuteness definitely overshadowed those flaws for me. And I would absolutely forgive the bad plot changes if they give me just one more episode filled with the chemistry the leads had in the beginning.

i love this show

I have watched many bl shows and sure the actors may be lacking but they have been trying their best especially for one of the main lead,Tine also known as Win Metawin, this is his very first project.BEING VERY HONEST HERE,I COULD NOT TELL IT WAS HIS FIRST WORK because it looked very natural and he showed his feelings very well with the plot.He did not shy away from his work.Sarawat also known as Bright Vachirawit has been in many shows and series and by far,i feel like he has improved so much and his dedication in his acting can be seen.IN MY OPINION,i think perfect acting for this plot would make it boring as due to some awkward scenes and such, this show was able to make viewers think why is he showing such a hurt expression?why is he just staring at tine?.i believe due to their capabilities and their knowledge they had of each other and the way they felt around each other made the show incredibly good because thats how its supposed to be.i have not read the novel but for those people who have not read the novel and they watch the show, they can understand that the scenes may be awkward but thats what builds up and easily settles with the romantic flirting scenes.LIKE THERE IS A BALANCE.I doubt there's any scene i did not like,i enjoy this show alot and the songs in this show are amazing,i repeat, they are amazing.I initially thought,i would not like it but as you hear more of it and as you see the lyrics, you will realise how amazing the songs are.It really helped me out alot in my month of pain.People can have their opinions to like it or not but if u want a show that is able to give you mini heart squeezes and smiles ,this is the show for you.In addition if you are not super fond of BL sexual scenes, this show is also very highly recommended, because they dont even have those scenes.ITS ALL SO FLUFFY THAT I REWATCH T HIS EVERY SINGLE TIME I GET A CHANCE TO,1)BECAUSE ITS FLUFFY AND I NEED TO SQUEAL AND 2) BECAUSE ITS REALISTIC KNOWING ABOUT THE CHARACTER'S BACKRGOUND IN THE SHOW.All in all ,this is my opinion and my review,if you want to have an amazing night wondering, squealing and ripping your pillow, this is the show.:))

The first 5-6 episodes made me excited until they actually become together (yikess). The use of ex-girlfriend plotline, that episode that almost boil my eggs. One of the most hated and dumbest twist in all BL drama. Please never use it again!! Oh Good Lord!

It's hard to appreciate this BL series that is going downhill. I am cringing on some part of acting, not gonna mention which part but I'm sure we have the same.

My final verdict. "its a meh"

On the good side their OST are my favorites plus their chemistry are great too.

Okay this requires 500 characters and I will try to add unnecessary words just to post my short review.

I'll just promote some of the series that I finished and appreciated for a while now because they stole my heart and a lot of tears.
In no particular order!!!!

2. Love By Chance
3. LoveSick
4. Tharntype
5. Sotus and Sotus S

I did not expect such a hype, but this series certainly deserved it. They did a lot of things right and I really enjoyed it, but I still got a little frustrated with it.

Let’s start with the positive aspects. First of all, the cast was great, I can’t complain about anyone. Also, the characters they played were mostly well-written, they felt relatable and genuine. I could feel the author of “Theory of Love” (which I loved); unlike other BL series, the characters didn’t feel cartoonish or totally unrealistic. The music was on point, obviously, the screentime of the side characters was okay and the amount of humour was just right. The overall storytelling was smooth and never boring, although it sometimes jumped a little too quickly from one scene to the next one.

However, I expected more. After the first, say, 5 episodes, some more story development and more drama should have occurred; it just started going in circles at some point. When there was some tension, it was usually quickly resolved within the course of just one episode, so I could not get invested in it. The emotions of the characters felt very real, but it all went too quick to really get me emotional while watching. It was all fun and sweet, no doubt, but just too “light” for me to fully enjoy it.
