Historical but not really

This whole drama felt a bit strange for me. This was one of my first historical dramas and I was not expecting the fantasy aspect of the plot. Even though I really enjoy the mixing of both genres, it was hard for me to reconcile both while watching this drama. On one hand, you have someone going back in time with all the knowledge of the past, while at the same time being faced with concepts of magic and strange powers that don't really fit with these actual historical figures.

I watched this drama because of Lee Min Ho. He was my only reference going into this drama, and since I had never seen him in anything historical, I jumped in. I was captivated at the start, maybe up until episode 10 or 12. The story didn't make any sense, and plot-wise there was no clear path to any of the characters' actions or what they were leading to. It keeps going in circles halfway through the drama and in no way needed to have 24 episodes.

The romance between the leads was cute and I enjoyed some of their scenes. That said, it was hard for me to reconcile the historical figure LMH is portraying in this romantic setting. I would be ok with the fantasy side of it, had they been just regular people living in a universe with a different set of rules.

In the end, the only thing I really loved was the music, which I still remember and listen to from time to time.

First thing i wan to say is that you shouldn’t watch Faith for: Logic, narrative flow, or a satisfying overarching story line.
It’s possible to enjoy this show for its slow-boil romance, but the second you give your brain cells free reign everything falls to pieces.
I mean it's like those light novels you read that you know has some messages but is not a brain twister and i'm pretty sure that's what they were aiming for.

If you want to watch a historical, fantasy romantic drama with LEE-MIN HO as the main lead(That's why i watched it).
Go for it. And this drama is really good, You will love it. Not the best drama by Lee-Min Ho but, neither the worst too.
I loved it, and i like the ending too. It's a decent heartwarming above average romantic historical drama

Great acting
Some interesting characters

It was a good drama however I could not give it a full 9.

Truthfully I would have liked this drama much better if the main actress character was more realistic and not so annoying. As a fellow female of the 21st century I know one this for sure...no matter how much I spent for a bag or how much I loved that bag as soon as there is someone threatening my life I would leave it and run. The character always remembered to carry her handbag even when she is leaving life saving medicine and equipment. Seriously, who is going to ask for her driver's licence(British spelling..lol) in that period of Korea?
I also found some of the villain's actions ridiculous and repetitive. There were many instances when I was like...'Really? WTH!?????'

I thought the male actors were great, They were the ones that made the drama enjoyable. Lee Min ho did a great job in this drama but the King was really good. I like this character a lot and the actor made me really empathized with him although he was weak and useless.

Best drama, my most favourite.

One of my first dramas I watched in 2012. It was the beginning of my journey in the Korean enternaiment with dramas.

The story, even it is fantasy, is well constructed, the time traveling and the various events are really captivating.com

The characters are perfect and the casting delivered the emotions in the best way. My favourite actor and actress are determined bu this drama. They are such wonderful actors.

I will not give any spoilers to give you all the chance to discover this jewel of a drama.

I have so many mixed feelings about this! While I love Kim Hee Sun and Lee Min Ho in the main parts, there are others whose acting choices I found questionable - I know we're not meant to like Gi Chul because he's the baddie, but man, he didn't have to go all full mustache twirling evil guy. I know my bad guys (there's a reason it's Xue Yang who's my avatar, not Wen Ruohan) and he and all of his crew were just the worst (as in, not entertaining, I know they're meant to be evil), just cartoons.

Also, the production was just lacking - I guess they spent all their money on the door effects, because ugh.

Still, am so happy that it has a happy ending - I dropped another famous time-travel K-drama after finding out that it doesn't end in a similar way.

Kim Hee Sun and Lee Min Ho had such chemistry, but that was basically it - I honestly didn't really care about the other characters, so tired of the palace politics etc.

But the one thing which made me write the review is this: That bloomin' song is stuck in my head! and because I can't speak the language, I can't do what I usually do - which is sing it to the end, in my head, and get rid of it. Yesterday I was watching something else and thinking - this would have been so much better with this other song . . . what the hell is it?
When I realised I groaned, and had to find it on youtube - it's called Carry On, and here it is so all y'all can suffer with me: https://youtu.be/e5brmft_MK4

The plot is great and is interesting. It was made impressively. The idea is unique. The story has a lot of twists and turns. There are episodes that break my heart as well. I always feel intense whenever there's a fight.

At first I was a little bored since historical drama and politics aren't my cup of tea but I already got adjusted in it and understand the concept of kingdom and it's pretty amazing! Another thing is, the two main characters portrayed their role very well. Kim Hee Sun is such an impressive actress especially with the last episodes. Her acting is full of emotion and it's like for real. Lee Min Ho is a talented actor. From Jeo Gol Dae's cheerful youngest head, to stoic, serious Wu Dal Chi's captain and finally, to a warrior who came back to life (not literally since he's been like dead for the past seven years) who falls in love with a girl from the future and is even willing to risk his life to protect her and the palace as well.

Music? Well, one of this drama assets are their original soundtrack. I love the music played in here. My feels~

I was kept thinking why is it entitled "Faith" XD But good thing it was answered as I finished watching it.

Anyway, totally recommended especially for those viewers who like action, fantasy and romance! ^_^

there were too much of every thing in this drama

NO. of episodes were really too much
it should be maximum 17 ep
the political issues were too much
the villain guys were too much which raised my temper alot really
too much conspiracies which made it many times repeated

they took too much time to get rid of villain characters
but inspite of that, the king's uncle escape which frustrated me so much

but till the romance it was too few
the romance between king and queen was really lukewarm
the romance between the two main leads at the end were really annoying
the end were too rush as if the director said
hey guys this took too long lets end it any way
which made the end really so lukewarm and end weren't understandable
because they didn't explain how the main lead made it and survived
why they should every time end the drama in a very bad way which spoiled it

and what about the royal palace guys
they act as if the king was living in the street
every one can come inside and kidnaps and kills what ever he wants LOL
very annoying really

it would be much fun if the FL took the ML to her world for sometime or at the end
but that doesn't happen and they all stuck at the past

and don't know if i should keep this drama or not
it was annoying and have many cute moments at the same time :(

Basically, after finish watching it, I can conclude that it is a love story hidden in a historical-action story. The love story here is not a normal drama love story (which is too fantasy). I like the fact that in every relationship (love , friend, bromance), have to protect our love. and with only one kiss scene, it still great.
I like both lead characters. they done their job very well.

The historical storyline is good nor bad. But, I dont think rewatch again about the historical scene. I could rewatch just to watch their love story. For the ending, I like to see them hug each other. Overall, the cinematography could have been better.

Well first off I love Lee Min Ho! He did another amazing job in this drama. The music was awesome. I have already downloaded them to my ipod it went well with the story line. The acting (cast) was great all together. sometimes though the music was put in to the scene at the wrong time and was noticeable (one or two times I notice). I think the explosions were a little fake but it didn't make me not want to watch it. Also, It had me laughing the actress Kim Hee Sun did excellent with her character. At first before I watched it I didn't think she would fit the part, but she proved me wrong.
i would defiantly watch this again!

If you like a little action, Love story, and historical dramas this is the one you don't want to miss watching.

Characters with IQ less than a pair of socks.

The FL is so cliche yet so important to the story that you need to bear with her if you want to finish the series. However, if you have an IQ of above 20, you will go bat-shit crazy while watching it.

The female lead acts fine, but the character itself has the IQ equal to a pair of socks. Throughout the series, it is very easy to find repetition. It is like a low budget manga plot at this point.

Female Lead does/says something she shouldn't > problem > male lead fixes it > repeat

Not recommended.
