There is fantasy in this movie - special powers that make it more fun to watch because they're not over-used.
The acting is wonderful and believable. I find myself re-watching some episodes over and over as bedtime stories for myself. There is plenty of humor to chuckle over. I learned from watching this that you don't need sex scenes to show incredible intimacy. Safe for the whole family!
It will leave you sighing several times at the scenes where the growth is evident. And if you don't shed tears you're not human!

Acting/Cast: Generally, the acting was good. Even Ice Prince/Stone Face Lee Min Ho acted well in the role of a general (which requires one to be quite expressionless since he's an emotionless killer and all). I would really like to see Ice Prince act in a drama that requires a wide array of emotions to truly test the limit of his acting skills. The female lead succeeded in annoying the hell out of me - so kudos on that part (if that is what the character requires!). My favourite, I have to say, are the bad guys - especially the two rotten princes. Acting wise, I reckon these bad boys nailed it. I even felt a sense of pity for the prince who kept wanting to "go to heaven" with the doctor because of his health problem and his ambitions. As a modern person, I can sympathise with his need to keep acquiring power and position and thirst for achieving something unique (this bloke can be a great scientist or businessman in this era!). The true evil in this drama, I would say, would be the prince who uses poison- -that bloke is just plain rotten. Once again, the actor nailed that role perfectly! Personally, I would prefer another actor for the role of the king - at least a taller actor. I have issues with men who are shorter or as tall as a woman... does not make them look powerful or important enough... but that's just me!
Music: The music is ok. It's not "wow!' but it's ok.
Rewatch value: I will not be rewatching this anytime soon. Maybe a couple of years later and I'm bored, I might revisit it. But for now, I look forward to the next new drama.
Overall: If you do not have something "wow!" to watch at the moment, this drama is a passable entertainment. Not the best historical, time-travelling drama around... but it's worth a glance.

Overall, Faith between an average drama to me and I’m not surprise when this drama having low rate over Seoul, the punch lines is too rare to enjoy it, at the moment, I feels like I’m forcing myself to finish it, damn it! I already started it so I will finish it haha
For acting, Min Ho acting cool like he always did. Portraying a loyal General Choi Young he doing good and cool but his natural faces sometimes did not match with ancient Goryoe people. Kim Hee Sun as a High Doctor, free spirit woman, later on turned her to be more sensitive regarding “That Person” I found it romantic, even Choi Young and Eun Soo did not mention it by words about how their feelings toward each other, but they both without hesitation put their life at stake when it comes to protecting each other.
Those Pledged siblings, I don’t know. Personally, I unable to hate them too much, even Gi Cheol’s expression cruel as hell sometimes but I found it funny when he gone mad over Eun Soo and for “That Person” I meant Eum Ja(white haired man), what a sexiest character ever created OMG. Even rarely can hear his voice but I fainted whenever he opened his mouth. What a sexy voice @.@ ????pf!! Honestly I fell in love with him, screen writer should add side love for him in Faith, must be cute. He has a beautiful character indeed. He needs a lead role after this.
For the music, I like the sad violin music background during flash back moments when Eun Soo missing Choi Young. It’s kinda beautiful instrumental. But one of the ost, I mean the rapping ones. Oh God! I wonder why on earth that composer composes that kind of song for historical drama. Does it sound match into it?? To me, it’s breaching LOL!
Shall I rewatch this? – Maybe not
But I will remember funny moments between Choi Young, Eun Soo, Woodalchis, inner feeling between King and Queen, funny moments between Eum Ja and Dae man. LOL. Something weird but I think Eum Ja is a gay in this drama. haha forgive me.
My advice, if you hates killing, bleedings, fighting and swords scenes then you better don’t start!!

I Enjoyed And Love This Drama VERY MUCH!
I guess there is just something truly magical, having a warrior like, tall, handsome, introverted, endearing General......slowly getting drawn to, and falling in love with, an independent female plastic surgeon, determined and fiery , (WAIT...did I say this in one breath??).All this through time travelling, brought from modern 21st Century South Korea, Doctor Yoo Eun Soo (Kim Hee Sun), back to Goryeo Kingdom by the famous General Choi Yeong (Lee Min Ho). In reality, General Choi Yeong was a great warrior, served three Goryeo Kings and lived till he was 72 years old.
After some research, I found out that the Goryeo Kingdom characters of King and General actually existed. As for the wife of General Choi Yeong, Yoo Eun Soo, it was not known who she actually was. But, it is written in history that Eun Soo was the much loved wife of General Choi Yeong, from his 2nd marriage, after the death of his 1st wife. For dramatic reasons, wanting to create a historical drama with romance and fantasy, Eun Soo's character and some of the story line of General Choi's 1st relationship were re-written. And what a great job they did!
I enjoyed the entire 24 episodes from the get go. Every episode was very well written, acted and directed and I delighted in the relationship of the lead couple. Lee Min Ho was so believable in his role as the young General Choi Yeong, whose temper and determination matched Kim Hee Sun's, Eun Soo. In the beginning, their relationship started with a lot of arguing, and difference in opinion, as they were from different centuries. However, eventually they grew to love, trust, communicate and protect each other, which alone made female viewers heart swoon like crazy and the men wanted to go out and find a woman to tame, love and protect. The script and characters were so well written that lots of kissing were not required. Even if there appeared to be some dry moments of political conversations, and maybe some flaws here and there, the feeling that came with watching the character's relationship evolve and develop was so overwhelmingly good that I had to score an overall 10 for this drama.
Surprisingly, the King and Queen's love story was also shared beautifully. Ryu Deok Hwan's, King Gong Min lacked self assurance due to his young age, not knowing what to expect returning from Yuan, China to Goryeo after 10 years. However, he loved to paint and had a softer, more gentle approach during his reign. Constantly needing guidance and protection , he was determined to keep General Choi Yeong next to him. Moreover, the King also had the support of his beloved wife, Queen Noguk (Park Se Young), a Princess from Mongolia, China. Though rocky in the beginning, their deep love and support for each other grew.
And of course, the struggle for King Gong Min to keep his throne did not come easy. For General Choi Yeong to protect the King's throne, came with a lot of blood and sacrifice. And to watch Eun Soo from the 21st Century eventually falling madly in love with the General was memorable.
There were many memorable scenes which I watched over and over again 5 times.
Well this is my emotional journey watching FAITH. Watch and enjoy if my recommendation motivates you. However, try not to carry high expectations after reading my review, and watch with a sense of curiosity. This way, you might find it more enjoyable.
Cheers! K-Drama Forever!

Choi Young's Character
I don't watch faith dramas because of Lee Min Ho or Kim Hee Sun. I watched the drama, because previously it was played for Lee Joon Gi before the agency sent him to do military service. Joongi is the prince of historical dramas, so i really wanted to see him in the drama after knowing the synopsis. Lee Min Ho did a very good acting, i agree. But the problem here is that fans mistake Choi Young's character for their own imagination. I totally agree with @imjacouple x acc way of thinking, Choi Young's character wasn't created just for Yoo Eun Soo's character. But Eun Soo's character was created for Choi Young. I've also bought the book in Japanese, although here we see Eunsoo appear more often than the other characters. Actually the main character is Choi Young, everything Eunsoo does is for Choi Young, but not everything Choi Young does is for Eunsoo. For me, this acc really understands each character THE BEST, the fact that s/he has the Korean version of the book and s/he said that s/he didn't come to this drama because of Lee Min Ho, but instead s/he liked Lee Min Ho because of this drama. All prove that s/he understands. But i will not tell the story of this drama. I just want to say that the characters in this drama (especially Choi Young) are misunderstood by some Lee Min Ho fans. For the first time i found a logical fan of this drama, @imjacouple acc
All the fans chattered about the love story, but s/he really explained the meaning of the king to the warrior choi young. I think s/he is still kind enough not to say everything bluntly, i read the novel before watching the drama. And what i feel here is that the country is Choi Young's main priority, not Eunsoo. That's what made me like this drama, not their love story, but Choi Young's character who really looks like a real man. Not obsessed, not greedy, not thirsty for intimacy (with his lover).
That acc really understands Gongmin and Young's friendship, s/he really understands it than other fans of this drama. I'm not talking about opinions, I'm talking about misinterpreted fvcking facts.

*GENERAL SUMMARY* (for those who don't like to read): The storyline started off amazing, got a little slow in the middle, but the end was near perfect and made up for everything that was lacking in the middle. The characters were extremely well developed and realistic, and the all the actors did amazing jobs in portraying them. Bear through until the end, and you will not regret it. I definitely recommend this drama, especially to those who like historical dramas, time-travelling dramas, dramas with strong chemistry/romance between the two lead actors, heart-wrenching moments, contrast between characters, loyalties and trust put to the test, and dramas that are action packed until the very end.
Story:
Episode 1-7 - Grabbed my attention right away. I was pleasantly surprised with all the action in the beginning, and the hold-onto-your-seat incident which spanned around 4 episodes. There was not really any romance at the very beginning, instead, I'm fairly sure they were mortal enemies at first sight~ ^^ The characters were already developing in the first episode, and continued developing throughout the entire beginning. The storyline itself was cliche, especially after dramas like Time Slip Dr. Jin just finished airing, but Faith proved to have enough twists that it strayed from the cliche and developed it's own creative storyline. Anyway, in general, very strong beginning to the drama, with heart-wrenching moments right from the start.
Episode 8-17 - Some very good moments, but mostly not as good as the beginning. The romance between the characters (there is not only one couple) had begun to develop, but it was very fragile, and teetered along the edge for a while. The loyalty of friends was constantly put to the test, and sometimes, it didn't pass. To sum it up...
- No MUTUAL ROMANCE (one minute he likes her, but she doesn't like him- the next minute, vice versa)
- Not enough ACTION to make up for the lack of MUTUAL ROMANCE
- Too much political talk (no time for romance TT-TT)
- Loyalty gave way to betrayal and trust was nearly nonexistent between all of the characters
Episode 18-END - Mind=Blown. This was... without a doubt, one of the best closings to a drama EVER. Everything I complained about in episode 8-17 was perfectly patched up here, plus extra. The mutual romance had developed into a blossoming love (between all of the couples) and it was honestly really beautiful to watch. The action had intensified again and the political talk had lessened, giving way to more romance. The loyalty and trust between friends had grown into tearful sacrifices and infrangible relationships. Episode 24 was an almost perfect ending. Ending's to dramas are usually horrible, or decent at best, and it really doesn't matter whether the rest of the drama was good or not. However, the ending to Faith was EXCEPTIONALLY well done. I must admit, there were still a few loose ends to tie, but none of them were very major, especially if you take into account the general idea. There was a bit too much time travel at the end, which honestly confused me for a few seconds, but the storyline got back on track right away and everything made sense. The quiet ending (sorry, I can't really explain without spoiling it) was used in a very effective way, and while there was little explanation for anything, any viewer would easily understand what the producers were trying to say.
EXTRA NOTE:
This drama did have a bit of a fantasy element to it, but I'm not sure whether I liked it. I mean, it was sort of cool, but they didn't use enough of their powers for it to be a major contributing element to the storyline, but it was also needed in order to make some of the scenes work nicely. It was fluttering in the middle- between not needed and necessary- so it confused me a little. One of the things they could've improved in the drama.
Acting/Cast:
I was very satisfied with the entire cast. I had no problems with any of them, and all of them were developed thoroughly and very well. I'll go into specifics on a few of the characters, but honestly, I could easily write paragraphs on any given character, as the drama was written so well, especially with only 28 episodes to develop all the characters.
Choi Young (Lee Min Ho)- First off, LMH was the first actor I got hooked on, and he starred in the first drama I ever watched, so of course he would be one of my huge biases. Before I even started watching this drama, I was a little disappointed when I heard the LMH wouldn't be smiling a lot in this drama (one of his main attractive points in my opinion is his adorable smile). However, this is NOT true. If anyone has watched City Hunter or Boys Before Flowers already, let me just say that not only does he smile quite a bit in this drama, but (I didn't know this was possible) his smiles seemed more... real. I'm not sure if this was because of the situation, or because he's become an even better actor, but I really enjoyed his moments in the drama. Choi Young was one of the best developed characters. He was conflicted and cold at the beginning, not really getting close to anyone, but he did a complete 180 and had me swooning for him (again) at the end. Choi Young was fluctuating quite a lot in the beginning to the late middle part of the drama in terms of his loyalties- he had to choose constantly between the girl and the king (and himself)- and many times over, this led to misunderstandings that lay the blame on him. He carried a great burden throughout the entire drama, and was ready to sacrifice himself to those close to him (which was an astonishing amount of people). He was the prince in shining armour, except his armour didn't really shine and the prince had a really bad attitude at the beginning- who didn't fail to be there whenever his girl was in trouble. You will come to know of him as the warrior who would sacrifice everything for that one girl, and not once has he ever really betrayed her.Throughout the drama, he is a character plagued with guilt and regret, but one of the things I loved the most about him is that he forgave himself. He didn't let remorse take over his life (at least... not when he realized he loved the girl), and I really respect that about him, as he is strong in more ways than one- though not strong enough to function without the girl he loves by his side~

If you want to watch a drama with lots of content with historical themes in an alternative manor, good fight scenes, with a bit of time travel and some magic. This drama might be for you. If your fussy and want a deep unpredictable plot, watch the first five episodes and see how you go.

The storyline is superb, but I won't be rewatching it (not for now). If you're watching it for the first time, it is really amazing. Unlike those other dramas where you can guess where the story is going after a few episodes, this one blew me, each of the episodes. Trust me, I am not the type of person whom is watching dramas without multitasking. But Faith really kept me glued on the screen, the first ever drama to did that to me.
And the great acting! You feel every emotion, they just did that with their eyes. The last part scene was extraordinary. It will come to you naturally why this drama was named 'Faith'. I watch the last 10 minutes for the tenth time and still shed tears.
I regret for not watching it earlier.

The key thing with this drama is to take it for what it is, no its not historically accurate at all points. No its not a true sageuk (historical drama). No its not just action. But its like reading a good historical romance novel. It is a fantasy so don't take it too seriously but instead enjoy it for what it is.
Plus the action and magic is a fun twist.
