One Missed Call is one of the most known japanese horror movies exept from The Grudge & The Ring.. This is not atall a movie for older or easily scared people..

A Strange deal of events have been happening lately and Lots of people have passed away. Yumi can't seem to put her finger on what these events are caused by. So many people don't just decide to go and commit suicide. As she starts connecting the dots she eventually comes to one conclusion.. What is the one thing all the ''Suicides'' have in common? They all recieved a phonecall before they died.. A Phonecall from their own Cellphone.. Doubtful about this fact in the start She decides to keep this theory to herself.. It is no way something like this can Occur right?
As The Movie proceeds it will scare and shock you in ways you never even saw coming as The Movie will be a horror movie with a little bit of romance concluded..

What would you do if you got a One Missed Call from your own cellphone? Leaving a message of your own voice right before you are about to die.. This is what Yumi struggles with while trying to keep her sanity.. A Movie Recommended for horror lovers. Its a good movie with a good ending.. Watch it, You won't be dissapointed.. But you might get Scared...

One Missed Call is known as somewhat of a cult classic within the west. There's that remake we don't talk about much that people watched once and then went to watch this original. Thankfully, I managed to skip the White remake and got to watch the original without having the bad taste of remake in my mouth first. I'm glad I managed to watch this one first – and probably definitely won't watch the remakes.

One Missed Call is probably the medium that started that old email chain mail - remember how paranoid you used to get recieving an email saying if you don't pass it on to so many people some scary thing will kill you during your sleep? Welp, if that terrified you, you probably want to stay away from this movie. Meanwhile if paranoia creeping down your spine everytime you hear your phone ring or vibrate is something you want, then watch on.

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting from this movie. I knew the general premise and at first, it seemed more like Final Destination than anything else. It's not really until the third character that anything really starts to happen, and things get spooky.

Maybe I'm more desensitised to horror than I originally thought. The music didn't do me justice personally, nor the acting; none of these actually scared me. It wasn't until we see the things happening that things got scary for me. That was more all down to the darkness effect used for me, more than anything. I think if I hadn't seen as much horror that uses the same effects, I would have been more scared by this and more on edge.
There were two different plot lines occuring nearer the end and it got quite confusing for me to figure out what was going on between all the characters. There was a lot happening, and I think the second plot line could have been dropped or made much simpler.

I probably wouldn't rewatch this. Maybe once if I don't watch the sequel/s until further into the future and I want to remind myself what happened in the first; that would be the only reason. The ending for the first film alone ends it all very well, and doesn't leave much room for another movie; I'm not sure if I'm excited to see where they'd take a second movie, or if I want to leave it rounded off as it was.

Overall, this does have a good scare factor. It's enjoyable, the plot is well enough that you can sit through it without being bored even if it's not scary to you. It's a good movie if you haven't seen it, and I definitely recommend it.

One Missed Call is a movie everyone has probably at least heard of. For a horror movie fan it is almost like a staple, alongside The Ring and Grudge series. However, for me, it was not the best BUT it was more than okay. The story was original with a haunted phone, but it was another vengeful ghost story. What I really liked about the movie was the more mystery thriller tone rather than pure ghost driven themes - like with some movies i.e. The Grudge (Ju-On). I found myself a little surprised at times and even nervous at other moments.

The acting was pretty good. Nothing seemed exaggerated or sub-par. I didn't really find any new favorites but I didn't hate any of the cast members. They filled their roles well and seemed to work together well; there were no awkward moments or insincere times that I could catch.

As for music, it wasn't bad, but it was not stand out either. it seemed to be sort of your typical horror music to build suspense or draw attention to scenes. The sound effects fit well and nothing was distracting. I found it to be just "alright".

This movie could be rewatched, but I probably won't rewatch it. This would be good for Japanese movie fans and horror fans - it would be good to watch and compare to the American counterpart. For anyone wondering about my score, I have also seen the American version and I like this version better but I"m not a huge fan of either one. I would say it is good to watch once, especially if you have nothing else to watch. That being said, I will finish the series just so I can say I have seen them all. I might like the others better.

Worst ending ever

The storyline is so interesting, so unique at that time. But the ending is the worst ending i've seen in my life, no matter movie, video game, kdrama, jdrama, anime, it's terrible !

I could still watch it again but i would skip that ending, i wish it would be remade again, in a good way, the american version is not that good too !
