FRIENDSHIP? WHAT’S THAT?
I wrote a review for Friendzone and this just feels necessary to do. Season 1 dealt with the relationships of 4 couples - each with their own storyline, depth, length of relationship and set of problems.Season 2 deals with the aftermath of the decisions made in the Season 1 finale, and the story continues from there on. Saying that the relationships portrayed are extremely real would be a lie on my part, because honestly I’ve never seen relationships like these. Yes, they are quite realistic on the outlook that people today have on relationships and love, but I have never seen relationships so toxic in my life, including some friendships.
Unlike the first season, where the friendships between the characters was the key reason as to why all the relationships seemed to be so flawed, the second season does not imply this. The only couple where “friendship” seems to be taken into account is the Earth - Sam - Stud and several other men saga. In fact, even simply friendships seem to take a backseat to highlight relationships. Somehow though, the final episode brings us back to what was the basis of the show.
The thing about this season is that it completely changes your beliefs and views after the first season. Earth fan? After season 2, I’m not. Hated Stud? I don’t now. Thought Boom and Tor were toxic? Season 2 showed that there are way more toxic relationships than them. Of course these are my opinions, but I must warn you, opinions are subject to risk when you watch season 2.
Another thing I noticed about the series in this season is how aware people are of their actions. Every single character in this series is entirely aware that what they are doing is just toxic and hurtful, but they do it anyway. They know the consequences and yet soldier ahead. They sleep around, cheat and lie, and behave with no remorse. Every character is extremely manipulative, even if it wasn’t evident at the beginning. They know how to turn a situation around for themselves and they do it! The thing is, if you watched season 1, you know what they went through there, and even if you hated them there, there is serious character growth here. Props to the actors here, they managed to make me hate and love their characters all at the same time.
Ultimately, what this series seems to be is a somewhat realistic and relevant take on relationships today. If you liked season 1, you should absolutely watch this, because if I’m being honest, this was leagues better than season 1. The storylines are more indulgent, the new characters are complex and flawed, the older characters are changed and better. I’ve tried to keep this review as spoiler free as possible, but here come a few. So if you want a spoiler free review, I would stop reading right here.
Seriously, stop here if you don’t want spoilers.
Now, spoilers.
Here are all the ships in the final episode, in the order they concluded
1. Boom / Tor - They’re married y’all!
2. Stud / Ta - Yes, Stud and Ta ended up together, and even as a Stud Earth shipper, I couldn’t help but jump ships. Somehow the two of them together just makes sense and honestly they look soooo cute together!
3. Cris / Amm - They ended up together! First actual GL by GMMTV has a happy ending!
4. Earth / Sam - They broke up. It was a decision coming from the first season and it finally happened in the season 2 finale. Hopefully the break up helps them actually grow.
5. Music / Locker - Oh boy this was a great one! The way she rejected him was straight up savage and honestly the guy had it coming. Good for her! (Not actual Good)
6. Good / Boyo - They decided to stay friends and that’s a solid decision. Totally respect and agree with it.
All in all, a genuinely satisfying ending!
Honestly, this is a good show. It’s like an America drama and a telenovela had a baby and that baby carries mild traits of both parents, if you get what I mean. If you love relationship drama, and some instances of romance and friendship, but mostly drama, then this is the show for you. Plus, it’s got a ton of familiar faces if you love Thai dramas. This is one of those dramas you can watch to just turn off your brain after a long day and scream at your TV if you don’t like something. And that’s a good thing.

Open-Ended but Satisfying!!
I really wanted to post a lot about this series but that’s too long. Friendzone 2 is kinda open-ended but it really tackles things that makes our life choices better. I really love everyone’s ending, I just want a special episode of what happened to them. One thing I hate about this is Bew doesn’t appear that much and I want to know more about her. Sic and Boyo, I think they’re going to be good friends. Ugh! I can’t let go and I am pretty sure that I’m going miss this series much!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Entertaining and thought-provoking
This was for sure one of GMMTV’s best productions in a while! For me, “Friend Zone 2” was always the first series I would watch on Fridays, even though there were several others airing on the same day.The only negative thing I can say about this series is that it got lengthy in the later episodes. It felt like the opposite of “The Gifted: Graduation”, thus planned for a 12-episode format but subsequently extended to the final 16; this would explain why the Bew storyline ended long before the final episode and the occurrence of some soap-opera-like repetitiveness in the later episodes. The finale was much better than the episodes leading up to it made me expect.
Other than that, I am generally impressed. I liked season 1 a lot, but like everybody else (as far as I have understood from comments and reviews) I was very disappointed by the final episodes with all the forced “happy endings”. Therefore, I was scared that something similar could happen this time around again. But already the first half of season 2 was stronger than season 1, mostly because the central characters were already well-established. All characters had many layers and remained interesting throughout the entire 16 episodes; especially Earth’s story arc gave me a lot to think about. The endings of the various storylines were all satisfying; although Tor and Boom’s relationship still seems rather shaky, it developed in a genuine way throughout season 2.
The series tackled many important topics and managed to avoid an abundance of cliches. Also, it was never shy to show morally questionable behaviour without judging. There is undoubtedly a lot to learn from it about (self)love and the true meaning of happiness. Good actors, fascinating characters, unconventional relationships and a daring, but always entertaining story make “Friend Zone 2” a must-watch!

This may not be the greatest series by any means... But I fucking love it
I personally love it when people in series or dramas cheat, fight and sleep around. Witch is why I absolutely adore this series. I really like how all of the characters act like real people by putting themselves first. The series does a surprisingly good job of depicting different relationships as well as the hardships that come with them. It is way more chaotic than the first season. But in my opinion it is also a lot better. In the end not everybody gets what would usually be considered a happy ending. But for the individual characters I think the endings for all of them were spot on.I am very aware that this series may be considered a bit trashy. But I honestly wouldn't want it any other way.

brace yourselves
seeing the mess that is the first season and being salty about the ending, i ask myself everyday "why bother watching season 2?"the answer is i'm a clown and this drama is a circus. hence, i belong in this drama. frankly, despite the characters making my blood boil with their idiotic decisions, this drama is quite addictive. what are we here for? the drama. what do we get? THE DRAMA..... and a bucket of tears.
the friend group consisting of boom, boyo, stud and earth contribute to my high ass blood pressure but ya know what? i love them a lot. i love how they're super supportive for each other and it's evident they went through a lot of shit together. i may not approve of the decisions or choices they make 120% of the time but i love their chemistry.
while in real life, a character like bew isn't easy to forgive.... you feel sympathy in here when given a proper character development. love is supposed to not involve absolute desperation to the point of going overboard and harming others. that is not love. that is obsession. seeing boyo forgive bew and become her friend was honestly admirable. it would've been nice to see more of bew hanging out with the group and seeing what she's up to. if season 3 were a thing (i'm not expecting anything), i'd like to know if bew and tod got together as it seemed like that's what the ending hinted. it was great to see enemies at the start become the best of friends at the end. we rarely get to see such an outcome so props to whoever decided on that idea.
math who? the stud x earth x sam dilemma was the trickiest problem i ever came across. earth's whole life revolved this gOoD boY bEsT boY image and with time, he eventually combusted. earth spent his whole life not being able to break out this tightly packed bubble that is a white picket fence "perfect" life" and his "perfect" boyfriend. he never really figured out what HE wanted. all his life decisions were depending on sam and about 5 % of it were his decisions. i can't blame earth for being out right brutal to both sam and stud but i also don't agree with him cheating. with all this chaos, watching earth break up with sam in the finale was so cathartic and heart breaking at the same time.
amm and criss was such a breath of fresh air from the rest of the couples. this couple is probably the healthiest one and amm is just amazing ohmygod. this girl is hella strong. i love how this couple communicate their feelings and try their best in rough situations because they truly love each other. i appreciate the efforts in representing a lesbian relationship and shining light on asexuality and mental illness. i already made up my mind that i'd riot if this couple didn't have a happy ending so i was super happy seeing my babies get back together.
we have some badass women who don't need no men like music and boyo then we have locker. bro is such an idiot thinking his same old tricks would work on boyo and music. if anything, boyo and music deserve each other. two independent badass women against the world.
i don't think i can ask for a better ending to this series and i wouldn't ask for a season 3. this drama promoted the concept of self love with characters like boyo and earth and the ending scene of boyo smiling in bed alone radiated the drama's message greatly. love y'all selves first.

Somewhere along the road, I stopped understanding Earth.Like - completely.
At least to the point where S2 ends. And - I am saying and complaining this right now just because I rooted for him, and think I understood him, and would excuse many things coming from him... till
S3, that would be maybe more satyfying for different not only shippers, but character rooters as well, please?
If it were to end like this I would say that season second sufferred problem of not have time to make filmed on time hence suffering severe issues of wrapping it to the point that something very important was missing. Missing in the sense that the creators of the series didn't show us something. It was either cut out of the final product or wasn't filmed at all, or somebody forget to present it to us. But it was something that was vital for understanding and maybe emphasizing with the main characters. That is a good pointer for me that the creators intent to create another season in continuation with the existing stuff, or that it was rushed and not finished before release date. But it might just my feeling.

ONE OF THE BEST SERIES OF GMM.
When i tell it's one of the best it is one of the best they didn't drag the episodes talked about some real problems and the character development was really good basically everything in this series is really good but if you don't like series and the acting was chef kiss i loved this series a lot this is one of those series where i actually felt empty after it ended. So overall this is really good and if you are hesitant i would recommend you to watch the first 4 episodes and then deside weather you want to continue or not.Was this review helpful to you?

Life Lessons
So for starters if you're looking for wholesome lovey dovey cuteness TURN TF BACK! It's exaggerated, but still pretty damn accurate to real life issues in everything ranging from love to the workplace. If you're looking for something realistic with some soap opera/high school drama look no further.I enjoyed this season more than last but due to my personal feelings of everything being like a double edge sword of "that's messed up but yet I kinda understand" thoughts I gave it a slight above average rating lol No matter the preference I think everyone can learn something from this and definitely have the ability to grow from it all.
Acting was amazing as always! I felt the sadness and tension from everyone and I definitely relate to Boom the most. Visuals all around(male and female) so I don't think you'll be disappointed in any arena this show offers.
Be prepared for a nice dramatic ride with probably the most satisfying ending I've seen in awhile. It helped the ending didn't seem rushed, it's a roller coaster ride you can't wait to ride!

I'm getting real tired of the slut shaming. Especially Stud's character ffs *SPOILER ALERT* HIS MOM DIES CAUSE HE SCREWS A RANDOM GUY.Calling people who don't have money and a job losers and judging people who want to have casual sex it just became too much. I honestly thought there was a little more character development this season but the overall shallow plot, and all this combined pissed me off. I couldn't really enjoy it.
At least WTD was bad in some ways but it has a better plot and characters and Stud is no Rambo.
Because Rambo did a lot of stupid shit but he loved Mew's character and you can feel his obsession, and honestly I hated Mew's character then for being a dick. Plus WTD skin ship makes you sweat lol I still go rewatch Mew Art and Both NewYear scenes there's even a three-way ffs xD whereas this was lacking in that department too.
And listen I don't just want bl couples from a BL either I watch plenty of het stuff especially romance I pretty much prefer Thai lakorn or series like Boy for Rent and Endless love 3 will be free but even the het couples in this one are just as lame and boring even the badass Boom was so tame this season. I don't get it.
The make out scenes were so basic.
That's why the low rating.

beverly hills 2020
Stroy 8/10friendships and love, cheating and everthing is a mess, there is no boring or simple sweet love, everything have to be dramatic, with manipulation and destroy, and wars, as they called it for the sake of "drama". most of the difference is that we have lesbian and gay couples, so it's make it better and more interesting to watch.
ACting 6/10
We have the good actors, avarage and the bad. most of the avarage,
Stud and Earth , and boyo, playing by good actors. the rest is so so ((I'm talking of the main acotrs only)
Locker for example is ok, but there where times he was dul.
The lesbian couple- they were too much, I didn't like both actress , they are boring and their faces and makup annoys me, I didn't get why she have to be with heavy makeup, it was so annoying to watch, maybe I connect it with streotype, and I didn't like the melodramatic acts , why they can not be at the same level of interest like Earth and Stud, I don't get why lesbian don't get the attention they deserve , to me it was like "just to show there is a lesbian couple" and that is it, maybe It is because I didn't like the couple. I wish they would have chose other story and other actresses for the roles.
Music
I really didn't like the music, the opening song remind me of Kpop, the ending song is just nothing special, and the background music was too dramatic.
overall 7/10
S2 was better than S1, I had a difficult time to like it at first but At the middle I changed my mind because of Locker story and Earth &Stud, the rest was boring to me (Boom and Good characters not reliable and boring, maybe it's also their acting) I didn't like Dr.Sam - not his character and not the actor, I stated to like Singto in this series, because in Sotus I didn't like him a lot, here he made a change and prove himself to be a good actor, he also fit more to the charater (to my point of view) I like his character development, at first I thought he was going trough non realistic madness but the last episode I understand more about the resons behind it, so it was nice to watch. I skiped all the wedding and Boom , She is just a boring actress , I'm not sure if the actress was better maybe the character would have been more interesting, the character itself could have been boring in some way, I didn't understand why she got married at all. she didn't make any progress. I could say I like Stud at the end also, the actor is very good, and I really want Stud and Earth to be together, but I have to agree that it was right maybe to end it like that and probably they will make S3.
