A shoutout to all mental health workers

This episodes highlight lots of things to be aware about when talking about mental health. I really like the people working in OK psychiatric facility. This is one the very rare dramas I come across that have a setting like this. If you have never worked in this kind of facility, this episode will give you an idea how its like to work in such an environment and how they get things done in there. This kind of profession is something only few but dedicated people pursue these days, but I know the world needs more of this dedicated people. So, if you are considering your career in the future, I do hope this episode gives you a certain level of inspiration. The people who worked in the facility including Sang Tae are my favourite people in this drama.

Only on episode 3 and am in tears. This drama will change my life.

This drama will go down as one of the best in history, it'll be considered a classic in years to come, I just know it. Just a beautiful episode. The ending of this episode...it made me realize that there is beauty in chaos, in being flawed. It hit me hard like a brick. To say vaguely, there was nothing but chaos but it was incredibly beautiful. I honestly had not been paying attention to the title of this drama, I had forgotten once I started watching. Now that I've come to leave this review, I realized how perfect it was.Our female lead is such a beautiful soul, her perspective is so beautiful and I can already tell that I will grow a lot after having watched this. I knew it would be deep but never expected the hidden beauty that these characters possess. Keep an open mind as you watch this show. Be moved by the characters and let the story change how you see your own life. Find beauty in your flaws, and learn to embrace them.

Five Stars

I know I should probably be rooting for Gang Tae to end up with someone sweet, devoted, and "normal" like Ju Ri (and honestly I do like her), but I can't help but root for our incredibly flawed leading lady!

contains spoilers

Ko Moon-young = Ko, Moon Gang-tae = Moon, Moon Sang-tae = Sang, Nam Ju-ri = Juri, Lee Sang-in = CEO, Yoo Seung-jae = ArtD, Jo Jae-soo = Friend, Oh Ji-wang = President, Kang Soon-deok = LandladyI am loving this series more and more with each passing episode. Loved the ending scene where they show how manic patients imagine things like club and all that when he is in hospital. He director and writers have put in lot of effort to “show” what people with mental illness see and feel. It is such a hard job, but they are doing such amazing job!! When he says that it wasn’t his fault for being born with little less IQ than his siblings and all he wanted was love affection and attention and he did lot of things to get that but at the end, it pushed him into having mental breakdown. I CRIED  What he said is true! Like how is it his fault to have less IQ???!!!?!?! It shows that how illness like hypertension and all has medical component but environmental component (lifestyle changes like diet/exercise etc) is necessary management, to treat mental illness, sending someone to hospital isn’t enough. Patients’ needs proper environment to become better and keep the disease under control!! They need supportive home and family and friends. Also, I love the way Ko imagines that Gang is with her and she self-soothes herself when she was scared and was having panic. She learnt and used the tool she learnt exactly how therapy works. Like you learn and tool and try to use it and see if it works for you and she is learning which is amazing character development. Even though she has ASPD and she manipulates the whole situation to how it should work for her benefit, she gave the patient a voice to be able to express what he felt by taking him to rally. Everyone needs to have an agency and it is shown beautifully here.At the end what a Gang felt, that liberation feeling when he saw manic patient just being himself on the stage and how he was always a caretaker and never got the opportunity to be himself, so he imagines himself on that stage. Ufff we all have felt similar things like wish we would all let loose and just tell what’s on our mind. Isn’t it?Way Sang said that for autistic people, even relatives are like close strangers but then he goes on to say that he is collecting money for Gang shows that even though they might not express love how others express, they still care about their closed ones, think about what they want and express in different ways. But when Gang heard the word ‘close stranger’, the way his facial expression changed, it must have stirred so many emotions in him. He is been taking acre of his brother his whole life with no sense of self and identity and likes/dislikes of his own and to hear that he is a close stranger but then how he composes himself back to understanding and accepting his brother. Every episode is making me cry. Anyone with me?Ko calling all human beings as hypocrite! Damn!! That hit bulls’ eye

still impressed

Wow, this drama continues to amaze me in so many different ways. It's been consistently beautiful in all aspects. However, what I want to touch on for this episode was the cameo role in this episode. This was the BEST cameo appearance by far. I was completely immersed from this cameo appearance that I am certain it will stay with me for a very long time.Looking forward to the next episode in a big way!

Absolute Masterpiece

I havent seen such a well directed beautiful story in a long time. It is riveting and stunningly beautiful sceneries and people. The storyline keeps touching my heart. With such a lot of hurt on this earth this movie is a beaming light of hope and kindness in darkness .

Sleeping Witch

3RD EP: Though the second episode strongly focused on Moon Kang-tae’s backstory, the third delved much more into Ko Moon-young’s. In doing so, the setting becomes much more dark and gothic. There is a noticeable growth of tension between the two leads; one relentlessly pushes forward, the other steadily draws back. I enjoyed seeing Kwak Dong Yeon’s cameo as patient Kwon Ki Do. This drama continues to reel me in and keep me entertained!
