this is an amazing drama. dont give up in the beginning, be patient!
I already loved Kim Soo Hyun because of secretly, greatly and my love from the star. so I already had high expectations. but what I wanted to say was that this drama is absolutely amazing and will bring tears and laughter. every episode includes a small story which surprisingly were amazing and held strong morals. I promise that once you watch the first and second episodes you will get sucked in. So please be patient during the first and second because they are necessary in order to understand why the characters are the way they are and looking back at it, they are necessary in order to show the entirety of the character development. 'A Suspense filled with Mystery and Thriller Drama'
I have watched this drama completely . The actress SEO YE-JI and actor KIM SOO-HYUN acting were perfect for their role . The journey of healing and learning of each of the characters from the main leads to the various patients is very moving. Admirably tasteful way to deal with mental and emotional issues on screen. The central love story is so involving because their pain feels profound. The incomparable Seo Ye Ji as writer Ko Moon-young is unforgettable - strong and vulnerable, finally a real step forward for K drama heroines. Enjoy each sentence she utters in her signature low voice. She has some memorable and often hilarious dialogue. A far cry from the Cinderella type heroines of early melodramas. And her outfits are stunning - perfectly suited to her tiny waist. Kim Soo-hyun is well cast as caregiver Moon Gang-tae. He isn't a larger than life hero but instead a man with pain and burdens. He looks more mature here. The pairing of the two leads is right. Oh Jung-se gives a likable convincing performance as autistic Moon Sang-tae, In less capable hands the character could have been annoying or tiresome but he made the brotherly relationship very touching. The production values are very high. From the well integrated animation of the stories to the quirky Tim Burton style house, it all has a high quality feature film standard feel to it. To cap it all off the ending is a good and satisfying one. Really there is no need to find any error. I randomly chose to watch this drama. But I found it amazing so I continued watching . The more episodes I watched , it became more and more thriller. As many episodes I went ,there were suspenses. At some time the story had a mystery which was solved at last. Drama makes you realize that IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY!
This drama is such a perfect project in my own opinion there is no wrong on it.
I will began with the actors all of them performed their roles with a great acting and the chemistry between them is unbelievable, they make me feel l like I am live in the story with them and feel all the feelings with them crying or smiling & warmth they are the main reason of the drama success they deserve all the awards in the world.
The characters development one of the best things that I like in this drama !
The story Carry many morals and life lessons and make me realize many feelings I don't know how to feel it, every scene has it's moral I know it's just a drama but it left a great effect on me and change my look to many things.
I love the ending very much and so happy for them because they found what they search for I think that was impossible to hapend but in the end it happened and the happenies fall our hearts.
this drama makes me so emotional and crying too much and feel painful but in the end I keep crying but with a big smile on my face they were tears of pride.
The ost and Animation two of the most beautiful things in the drama and added a lot of beauty to it.
I want to thank them to make this great drama and healing our hearts..
You will never regret watching this!

Too many episode for its own good.
I really wanted to like this drama, people are always raving about and the reviews for the most part are glowing, here and on other sites.And I did mostly like it. The first three episodes I found to be funny and touching with a bit of mystery looming in the background.
Cut to the end of Episode 10 and almost NOTHING has happened from Episode 3, it feels like we're still stuck on the same story as we were 7 episodes ago, I cannot believe how slow they were to get the ball rolling.
But when we arrived at Episode 11 things started to happen, plot points that had been left hanging for half a season suddenly became relevant again, even the writing overall seemed to become better, funnier and more emotional.
I just wish the show had been this all the time. Cause this had the potential to be an all-timer for me but as it is this will just be a so-so drama with a middle part that drags so much that it almost made me quit watching.
This is a drama that would have benefited from being 12 episodes instead of 16 REALLY long episodes, there just isn't enough story here to tell.
Or maybe there is?
This drama has a bunch of excellent side characters, from the people at OK Hospital to the people working at the book publishing company. But the show does so little with these characters it is almost criminal. We have an older man with PTSD from the Vietnam war, why not give him more of a character arc?
A show with 16 episodes like this one NEEDS to flesh out all of it’s characters but instead of almost completely focuses on the main trio for the bulk of the 16 episodes which just doesn’t work, it becomes trite and boring when we see the two brothers have yet another fight about the same thing they’ve already argued about for 4 episodes.
So yes, there is enough story to fill 16 episodes but I my mind they decided to focus on the wrong things, give the main couple and their drama time to breathe, make us miss seeing them on screen together by actually having the sideline characters do interesting things.
The OST in this is great with a lot of songs that I’ll probably keep listening to. Everything with this production is great, the acting, the wardrobe, the cinematography, it is all so very well done. It just isn’t enough when the script is this thin. I also cannot believe the whole deal with the antagonist of the show and how all that was dealt with, incredibly underwhelming.

Great to watch
The show was worth of watching. Every episode was damn good & ending of every episodes there was a mystery to solve in the next one.It is a really good tittle. The actors did their job so well. Relationship between the brothers & a writer were too good to watch. From carrying a love story from childhood & then losing it & again found it & build up on it is great.

I also love how like the main character's personality sort of like change. Like in the beginning Moon Young said "I love you" to Gang Tae, and she followed him and kept saying it, and then towards the end, Gang tae did it, that was very funny. I loved the deer scene, that was wonderful.
But can anyone answer me this question, HOW THE HELL DID HER MOTHER LIVE. Like she was pushed down the stairs, and her head was cracked open, and she was bleeding so much. Like at that point she should have already died, not to mention Moon Young's father put her in a coffin and threw into the sea, like how did she survive all of that?

Who cares about destiny? if a drama shows up when you need it, you call that destiny.
First off this drama is healing and finding. I had dropped this drama, however, I’m glad that I resumed watching it a couple of days back. It took me on a journey to the past and every scene in this drama was so Relatable to me. I liked the way this drama Revealed the pain and suffering of the characters, and how they overcame them. Because some time we also lose our true / real faces since we don't have to courage to find our happiness.I highly recommend this drama because It has a story that most of us need to see and learn from it.

Overcoming from one's psychological trauma
Although its little bit boring as i prefer romantic plot more, i still managed to complete it as it has an interesting plot with great acting by all characters....Every character did justice to their role... Main leads to side ones... I read many comments about FL being toxic & villainous... Well its totally justified how she turned out after having such a terrible childhood... She was brought up that way... so her behaviour was justified... So as Ml's autistic brother's... obviously its difficult for Ml to manage an autistic patient along with the childhood trauma... Its not easy... But his bro was equally supporting & caring for ML in his own way... He understood ML difficulties as well as his moods over situations better than anyone else... He tried to cooperate as much as he could in his condition. In the end, he actually saved everyone from evil. About Ml, he patiently handled Fl & his bro's tantrums while coping from his own traumatic past. He was one of those kid who had to become adult despite his age cause of certain situations. I really feed bad & sorry for him.
About side characters, Sang In & Jae soo were really great friends for fl & ml respectively... They gave their unconditional support & love to them... Joo ri's mom was best among all moms in the show. She really cared about everybody's appetite & diet. No one would be hungry around her... Hospital's staff & patients were like a big joint family...
Overall the whole drama based on everyone's own psychological trauma & their way to overcome it... It was encouraging...

One amazing journey!
The description for this drama doesn't really do it justice.What sounds like a simple premise is actually an in-depth look at child abuse/childhood trauma and how holding onto that pain shapes our identities as adults.
The casting was immaculate. Seo Ye Ji and Oh Jung Se's constantly fluctuating relationship had me laughing one second and awwing the next. Kim Soo Hyun's Gang Tae was a perfect balance, not only as their reluctant guardian and protector but as the viewer's way into the story. When he was stoic and driven, we felt it; when he was angry, we felt it; when he was opening up emotionally, we felt it.
I guess some people could see the more over the top characters or storylines as negatives, but I personally loved them and thought every twist and turn fit well into the modern-day dark fairytale the show's universe was set in.
This isn't the first drama to touch on darker themes, but I felt like "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" hit it out of the park in terms of execution in ways other shows could only dream of. This is a drama I will never forget, with characters I fell in love with, played by actors who inhabited their roles 100%. You won't regret watching this show!

Must Watch 2020 Drama
This drama is simply beautiful. Amazing and very well thought plot. So much life lessons. This is a breath of fresh air especially that you don't see dramas tackling mental illness.We are humans. We feel emotions. And we're certainly not an empty can. This drama shows nobody is perfect and we all have weaknesses. Humans have flaws and that's what makes us human.
I felt the emotions of the characters and I could empathize with them at some point. One of the characteristics of a great drama is that it should be able to get the message across and make the viewers feel their emotions. This was a very wholesome and heart wrenching drama. The execution, the cast, the OST, the filming was really wonderful. The cast did a really great job in bringing the characters to life.
