Theseus no Fune (2020)

Both are adaptations from a manga that contained elements of time-travel. And amazingly enough, both also involved an incident set in Hokkaido while the protagonist was currently based in Tokyo. Also, both involved the protagonist being from a future with bad outcome ending up returning to the past to try to prevent incidents happening in order to change the past and future.

Similarities:
- father and son work together to investigate crime.
- the father was absent in the mc life but unexpectedly find themselves meeting them.
- the father disapproves of the mc investigation methods.

differences:
Theseus no Fune:
- has a supernatural element; the mc travels to the past.
- the father doesn't know the mc is his son.
- mc isn't a detective, he investigate to figure out what happened in the past but his father is a police officer.

Both are time travel, family dramas. In both the older version of the ML meets the younger version of his parent/parents. I myself liked TNF more.

Both are serious jdoramas with darker undertones. The plots aren't that similar but family relations do play a big part in both. Well, both are good jdoramas that I recommend if you liked either of these.

Both film and drama have time travels in which the main characters try to solve an issue of their own time.

Also starring Eikura Nana. N no Tame ni is a story on the journey to seek the truth of a murder case that happened 10 years ago with each of the party involved holding on to their own dark secrets.

Tunnel and thesus no fune have many similarities which become more evident as the the drama progresses..time travel is the main theme in both of them..and importance of family bonds is strongly emphasized ..with the family members willing to do anything to protect their family.Both share beautiful plot and amazing acting.
