This is pretty much a mini special that shows a bunch of flashbacks, as well as some new videos about the company going from just Toru's small (1 million member) company to the big leagues. This special isn't necessary, but for fans of the drama it helps increase the backstory a bit.

Story 7/10: This special was quite interesting. Like I said before, it just has a few clips that aren't from the dramas, but overall it really helps you learn more about Asahina and toru.

Acting 10/10 : No complaints about the cast. They are perfect like in the drama.

Music 6/10 : The music is good, but not great. In fact I think it only had one song and that was the same one.

Rewatch Value 3/10 : I wouldn't really rewatch this special, especially due to the fact that im not really a rewatcher.

Overall 7/10: The special is good, but it's not great like the drama.

I'm not being nice about my ranking, I literally think this is the best drama I've ever watched, Kdrama OR Jdrama.

The story plot isn't predictable but nor is it unbelievable. It's REAL. I think that's what I like the most. The development of the characters and story captivates you and the actors and actresses portrayed those characters amazingly.

I wasn't tempted to watch this drama by the description or the title, I was just bored but I'm so glad I did! I joined when it was on the 9th episode and literally had to stop myself screaming in frustration while waiting for the next episode. It has an addictive and completely lovable quality. I wanted to rewatch it before it was even finished and it would be one of the dramas I would pay money to buy on DVD and watch again and again.

The music was perfect. Literally perfect. It fit the story completely. The main song Hikaru e by Miwa [Theme song] is full of hope and encouragement and I literally have had it stuck in my head for weeks while reminiscing on the last episode.

For someone who doesn't ever speak while watching a drama [crying is a different matter] I found myself ragging when bad things happened, squealing in joy at the cute little moments that the main characters shared and sprouting swear words when things didn't go the way I wanted [For example; some of the interactions with the romance].

My official number 1 must watch drama of all time. Don't questions 'should I watch it?' Just. Watch. It. Trust me.

Personally, I wasn't interested in watching this, since, most of what was going to be shown as already been shown as flashbacks in the drama itself. Nevertheless, it's worth watching.

In Rich Man, Poor Woman Episode Zero we see how the Toru got involved with Asahina, how the name Next Innovation was formed, how Tohno got involved with Next Innovation and also what led to his leaving Next Innovation. We also see how and when Mr Yamagami joined Next Innovation. Generally, it's just about how Next Innovation grew and got into the stock market.

The cast is the same as the original cast from the drama, there is no unknown cast :).

The acting also didn't fall short, plus, this is just 11 minutes and some few seconds long.

This is a start up episode into the drama.  It builds the key element which is truly the bromance and "woman" key players that are fundamental to the story.  That includes all the males and the REAL "hoe" (woman) that creates the rift between the bros. It's definitely not a breathing element in our sense of the word.  I don't think this is truly important to enjoy the story, since it wasn't provided before the drama aired, I still think it's something worthwhile.

You also get to see the initial pebbles leading to the transformation of the characters from "closed off geeks" to domineering and perfectionist men.  It's a good lead-in and understand, in hindsight, why TPTB would produce this for the drama. Unfortunately, they would only have known to produce the zero, had they known the drama would have been the success it became.  And it was a massive success. One of the greatest romantic dramas ever!

This special was wonderful, it didn't need to be made but I'm glad it was! It provided fans such as myself with more backstory. It showed us how the relationship between Hyuga and Asahina came to be. If your a lover of Rich man, Poor woman then this special is a must for you to watch! I recommend it to anyone, Happy watching :)
