Tropey as I like it
This drama is very tropey and it is a perfect drama to sit back and relax while entering drama world. Fun from beginning to endStory: One word that describe it is COMMON. Cliche with many flirting, childhood crush, earthquakes and stuff. The best point is that the love rivals are supportive once they've known their crush is taken. You get served with the lovey-dovey, fluffy, low angst with only some un-serious conflicts of the mains, and the hardships the second cp had. It does drag in some parts, but the dragging isn't so bad (1-2 eps) so it's bearable.
Actor: Good picks, Xing Fei, Tang XiaoTian, Li Chuan, n Huang YiLin acts nicely. The chemistry, in my opinion, is better than PYHOMS. Tang Xiaotian acts more happily, not the sad face as Fu Pei in PYHOMS. Xing fei portrays the bright and open Cong Rong perfectly. Li Chuan acts good too, as a caring uncle and the lovelorn Wen Rang. The one who surprisingly shines the brightest is Wang YiLin. She portrays the emotions very perfectly, from the bubbly, carefree character to a more mature character after the rejection before Wen Rang chases her back. Shangguan yi and qin chu are also good. They don't portray much feelings, but their eyes says it. The micro-emotions and details are seen very clearly.
Ost is funny and adds the comedic elements to the drama.
Rewatch: Maybe the second couple, cuz of their conflicts and the double-lovelorn memories part are good to watch.

MY FAV KDRAMA ATM , I WOULD RECOMMEND ?
WARNING - BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO READ THIS, PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS REVIEW CONTAINS A LOT OF SPOILERS !!I’ll start with what are the categories & why i rate them 10 :)
Storyline -
You probably already know what the story is about if you have read the summary for this kdrama. But I rate this a 10 because it really shows me the real meaning of “ if you are meant to be then you will find each other in the future “. At the start of the drama, she is really cold towards him & plays hard to get because she only loves one man which is fatty. But little does she know fatty is Wen Shao Qing. Until episode 10 when she finds out he is fatty. She soon realizes that all along fatty was right in front of her. In episode 12, Cong Rong & Wen Shao Qing start dating after a bet Wen Shao Qing makes. The bet is that if she pass her internship then they must date & she did. Overall I loved the storyline & how this childhood crushes found each other again & found love together.
Acting & casting -
The acting was surprisingly amazing. It was very natural. They really look like a couple in real life. They both play their roles well & so do the other actors. The casting was a great choice. The cast worked very well on this kdrama. Also the cast that were chosen was by far an awesome job.
Music -
I didn’t understand the music that well but I can tell that it mixes well with the drama. Amazing job for that.
Rewatch value -
I would rewatch this drama a thousand more times if I could because honestly it was that good. I loved it a lot. Defs would add this to your list of kdramas to watch.
Overall -
Overall this was a fantastic kdrama. Perfect storyline, music, casting, acting & re watch value.
My likes & dislikes for the Kdrama -
LIKES -
I love the kissing scenes, a very romantic film.
I loved how it was very balanced between drama & love.
It didn’t have love triangles which I love.
It didn’t have major break ups which is also amazing in my opinion.
The chemistry between the main lead couple & the supporting actor couple was honestly the best from my POV.
I love how somewhat this film was relatable & realistic.
I love how in love the main couple was.
I love their jobs together & their cheesy couple scenes.
I loved most things about this kdrama but I’ll tell you what I didn’t like.
DISLIKES -
I think that it was a very long kdrama for no reason. I would of skipped to the last episodes but I continued to watch. It had very boring & irrelevant scenes.
& that’s it
SPOILERS -
They end up getting married & having twins - episode 28
Cong rong’s mom finds out that she’s been lying about being in Australia - episode 9
Wen Shao Qing has a co worker that likes him & so does Cong Rong.
The supporting couple kiss in episode 19
Wen Rang’s first love ends up coming back & wanting him back but instead he wants Chong Cheng
The supporting couple end up dating in episode 25
The people who like Cong Rong & Wen shao don’t get them nor does any bad drama happen so don’t worry they don’t break up at all.
Cong Rong & Wen Shao Qing do have a little fight during the kdrama but it gets solved
Also my favorite episode is 28 & these spoilers may not make sense at first but when you get to that part & you want to know what happens then theses may help.

Kinda sexy, extra sweet and definently heart warming.
Originally saw this on youtube, my first clip of them were him kissing her in the kitchen. that soup scene was SO PRECIOUS.Thoughts while I was watching:
i'm not liking the heroine here, she just seems so selfish, he literally does nothing but offer her his kindness and fond for her, and is it a tv heroine trait for them to ALWAYS twist it???? like he wasn't even making her jealous, he even asked her what was wrong, he kept on trying to make amends with her, but like the petty character she is, makes him jealous on purpose and seeing his crestfallen reaction breaks my heart.
Secondly, I don't like the actress acting, it is way too dramatic, way too exaggerated, i feel like she has no substance in her acting because she act the /same way in Put A Head on my Shoulder
Scriptwriting is a bit pretentious and close up, face to face camera angles are just really cringe.
Also Why does everyone treat Zhong Zhen so.. childishly, almost harshly? Why won't anyone take my precious bean seriously? Like Ugk I was waiting for the point where someone would show him some damn respect but they all treated him like a kid and that was just DISTASTEFUL.
Overall this drama was cute, a fun watch, a cute light and fluffy and true love happy ever after love story. The main point I love about this drama is how much the characters love each other and how far they are willing to go for one another. It always feels like in other romance dramas that one of them always love the another more but they lengths both of the leads go through for one another is truly breathtaking.
Also, this is so much sexual THAN I could ever anticipate.

Well-packaged, glossy fluff
This is the best kind of fluff done right. There are no real twists and turns in the plot, instead we get every single rom-com trope gently offered to us on a very nicely-laid tray. The two leads have already established good rapport in Put Your Head On My Shoulder so they have a natural easy chemistry. Daddi Tang has really upped the game in terms of on-screen kissing in Asian dramas - no innocent pecks on the cheek here! Still, his super-talented, super handsome and highly values-driven doctor role here is actually a bit one dimensional (not his fault!). In many ways, the whole show is a bit like this - we see two hardworking, smart and good looking people living in very nice apartments in a nice city driving nice cars with nice families supporting them and nice colleagues. This makes for a relaxed and mostly enjoyable watch, but it's almost a bit too nice for me. In saying that, it was good to see the progression of the two leads in their acting careers, as this was a step up from their performances in PYHOMS.As a really nice bonus (and what saved the show a bit for me) the second couple have a much more interesting back story. They are flawed characters, which makes them more human and more believable to root for. So often the second couple in Asian dramas can be mediocre, boring or very annoying. However in this show their story is far more complicated, providing more tension and anticipation, which made them outshine the leads in some ways. I sometimes found myself wanting to skip through the main couple's parts to get to their juicier ones - ironic!
Was this a creative show? Not really. Life-changing? Definitely not. Would I recommend it? If you're after a feel-good breezy love story with good actors, good chemistry and high-end production budget (read: glossy), then yes watch it!

Fluff with substance
*Review might contain spoilers*Loved:
ML's pursuit of the FL.
It didn't take long for them to get together.
ML and FL support and unconditional love for each other.
ML and FL taking care of each other.
Lots of sweet scenes (spoiler: specially when he surprised her on her business trip)
OST
Supportive family for both sides.
No so loved:
2nd FL slightly cringey acting. Maybe it's just me.
Overall it was enjoyable to watch. Even when they got together already it was still sweet to see how they dealt with issues and supported each other.

Why I Adore My Little Happiness
I will make this short and concise.Below are reasons why this cdrama is worth your time:
1. No annoying and unreasonable 2nd leads;
2. The main leads are straightforward. Few to no-nonsense misunderstandings.
3. Lots of awesome kisses- these two have chemistry.
4. ML loves her to death and she liked him for a long time as well.
5. No annoying side couples. The focus of the drama is the couple themselves and their friends.
6. Alot of solid and not boring hospital and legal discussions.
7. No annoying parents and family feud in here. Just plain parents and grandparents that adore their children and supports them.
8. Love the Uncle and bestie scenes. This drama is about maturity and bonded by long-time friendship.
9. ML is hot and TALL! FL is petite and has the sincerest smiles that I have seen in cdrama. Their scenes sizzles. He wants her period. No ifs or buts.
10. No long and unnecessary scenes. This drama is 28 episodes that you could joyfully marathon. No scene skipping on my part.
Need I say more?

It's not my cup of tea, but somehow enjoyed it
I had a very high expectation of this drama for many reasons. Almost everyone gave it a 10/10 reviews and says this drama is very addictive to watch. Plus the plot seems interesting, 2 mature successful individuals who are very hard-working, which they happened to be childhood friends at the same time. The only thing that stopped me from starting this drama is how the Male Lead is Fu Pei from PYHOMS. I'm a big fan of PYHOMS but they portrayed Fu Pei as a toxic person who played FL's heart.Again, I had a very high expectation of this drama, but left with disappointment. I feel like some parts of the drama don't make any sense. Some of the examples I'm talking about are:
- How the FL did not recognize her own childhood friend. At first I thought she had a memory loss or something happened to her head - because there is no way she did not remember. As they stated, they are childhood friends from grade school, which moments like this are not easy to forget. Plus, as I remembered, the FL remembers every detail of the conversations she had with her childhood friend. Idk if she's stereotyping by thinking her childhood friends used to be on the chubby side, he needs to grow up like that too. Furthermore, unless someone had multiple plastic surgeries, at least, someone can recognize their own childhood friends no? Or if the ML has the same name as her childhood friend, shouldn't the name ring a bell or at least giving a benefit of the doubt? This is the part I don't understand.
- I also don't understand how the ML doesn't give the medical summary of a patient to FL in the beginning. Why chose to hide it? Isn't her work supposed to be protecting hospital's peace and image? or make the ML's life easier by preventing ML's from possible lawsuits in the future? Sure, I know too well, doctor's role and responsibility are very important. I come from a family of doctors, I know that too well. But the FL's role is equally important too as she prevents any future chaos that will happen in the hospital if things are not taken care of immediately. But no, the ML's chose to play around FL to get her attention, which I think is very unprofessional and immature. According to the entire plot/summary, the ML is supposed to be composed, professional, smart neurosurgeon that achieved success from his young age.
- I also don't understand the FL's naivety - where she chose to follow the con-man inner circle to investigate by herself. Especially the part where she went outside the hospital to investigate the conman. Did she not see the security? or why didn't she report to the police about this matter?
- As for Qin Chu too. She liked ML for the longest time, 12 years - that is 4380 days! They met everyday from her school days, basically almost everyday for 12 years long! Didn't she have any bravery to confess? Or if 12 years is not working out for her, shouldn't she take the hint by knowing that the ML considers the relationship completely platonic? As far as I know, having an unrequited love is quite a harsh reality, it completely drains your mentality, but 12 years without a confession? It may happened to someone as I am not saying it is completely impossible, but I've never heard something like that happened where one having an unrequited love for more than 10 years without any confession or bravery involved.
- Xiong Jing Jing (FL's annoying colleague) too - I don't understand why someone like her is hired in the law firm anyway. I understand the concept of Nepo baby, it realistically happens in real life too - where someone got in because of nepotism. Her dad is a very successful lawyer so I guess she got in because of connections too. The part I don't understand is where she tried multiple times to bribe the co-workers/her superiors, and it's the HR representative at that. Law companies are dealing with laws mainly, and they should've known far too well that the act of bribery is something not to be taken lightly. So, as for someone who's still an intern at that who keep attempting to bribe the higher-ups with gifts, and she kept hired and not fired yet? Does the HR not know if Xiong Jing Jing already bribe her way through in the early stages of her career, she might do something like that too in the future?
- (this is totally my taste so) not to mention, Zhou Cheng Cheng's poor choice of clothing ?
Aside from all that, the chemistry between the 2 leads are too good to the point where I thought they are dating in real life. I also love the story as it portrays 2 successful individuals who climb through success by their own efforts. Also, I love FL's cousin, he may be my bias in the drama and one of the reasons why I kept going. He's too cute and funny.

Hidden Treasure
This series was such a bundle of sweetness. I honestly watched a few scenes multiple times. It was just that good. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the two main leads, it was authentic and really sweet. The plot was great and it was consistent throughout the series. I love the fact that there was no Flip-flopping back-and-forth. We didn’t have the senseless misunderstandings that often take place. It was honestly smooth sailing throughout this entire series aside from the usual things that come up in real life situation this series was great. I love the fact that the writers didn’t try to create problems after problems after problems but managed to stay true to their plot and realistic to real life situations without over complicating things. The acting was great. I have to admit that I loved the mother in this series. It was really refreshing to see a mom that was supportive and had zero villain tendencies. Overall I highly recommend this series. It does start out a little bit slow but as it picks up you will absolutely love it. The ending was perfect. This is an absolute rewatch for me.Was this review helpful to you?
