The synopsis made this movie sound so simple. Originally I didn't plan on watching it because it seemed like just another take on the rich girl- poor boy plot but I was so wrong.

I decided to watch this movie because of Yoshitaka-san and this truly was a beautiful movie. There was nothing dramatic in it. There was no suspense in the story. No twists or evil plots. There were no villains or heroes and no evil parents or scheming girlfriends and confusing love triangles. But none-the-less the movie was bitter-sweet. It had a carefree air throughout yet it drew me in with every scene.

I don't think that the story is very unique or unconventional but the way everything came together left me with a warm feeling inside. The cinematography, script, directing, cast, acting, music and everything was in harmony. I loved watching this movie.

If someone would have told me this story orally then it probably would not have as much as an impact as when I saw the actors living the roles. The performances were truly exceptional. This is definitely a must watch from my side ^__^

Every person there is a yonosuke exist once in there life... maybe we dont remember who that guy is, but every time we think that person we just smile. For some reason this is the first time I experience watching a movie at the same time reminiscing about my own life, I just felt nostalgic remembering my former friends and what are they doing now.

This movie is a feel good movie, tho not a movie and tho I cant explain why, but this remind me of this one unique breath of fresh air drama called ozosaki no himawari. If you love this movie you will also love that drama in a way. The music....the music is not memorable aside from that samba music LOL. The chemistry between the girl lead and yonsuke is great...love the scene at the restaurant where she is laughing at him. The acting i was impressed with kengo kora, he just made yonosuke a fun character, I notice some yonosuke's habits when he move and i thought it is brilliant acting...I love his hair too.

The movie that will make you smile..and I thought the ending credts song great.

My impression of this movie is pretty complicated. I enjoyed most of it because it had though unusual characters but highly relatable. I liked seeing this coming of age and dealing with students at the university level which isn't too common (we usually either deal with high-schoolers or working people) at an interesting setting.

Choosing it to be set in the late 80s or 90s bring this nostalgic feeling with it. It is a time where people were pretty outgoing, but before the technology where it feels that people were more hopeful and had more dreams. We do meet the character's older selves that may have lost that magic just carrying on. It could be because of age but could also be because of the era. The setting and characters made me enjoy the me enjoy the movie and not notice one thing until after finishing two thirds of the movie. The movie did not have a story. We are not told why were visiting Yonosuke's life at that timing. It's not about accomplishments and what not, but even though the movie was a bit too long, it felt like the ending was incomplete. It was more like watching the first 3 episodes of a drama then watching the last scece of the last episode, wondering what happened in between and how did this lead to that.

Seeing as what attached me wasn't the story, it was mostly the characters. They were fun and acting was top notch from all. Kora Kengo was pure delight and seeing Ikematsu Sosuke (Shingai!!) is such a different role was a surprise. Ayano Go's character was the silliest because he took himself too seriously which cannot be done when Yonosuke's around :P

In the end, the movie was entertaining for the most part but felt like it took me nowhere and the ending left me unsatisfied.

This is the first time I write a review and I felt like doing it because there is a lot of arguments about the movie being boring and other people like me loving it.
I think the movie has a beautiful story, the relationships between the different characters are charming and the time jumps help you undertand what is going on.
I really enjoyed it, I feel like a movie is not enough to cover all the story that we are missing... maby a different ending... but you know, it is a nice ending from my point of view, maby just not the ones you are used to.
Definetly will be watching it again in a couple of years.
