They both have a similar premise - high-schoolers fighting each other for the top position. The main characters are quite similar too.

A lot of punches and hilarious high-schoolers.
In both dramas, the lead starts from the bottom and aims to be the N°1.

They are both about fights and friendship. I personally think that KKOW has more slapstick and is funnier but both are a must watch!!!!!

Similar story and setting, where highschoolers fight eachother to reach the top and to be the strongest fighter or "king" of the school.

Both series are based on successful mangás of the same genre and have the same high spirits of delinquent students fighting to reach the top, each one for different reasons, and that leads to creating meaningful new friendships along the hard way.

Bakaleya is like a watered down version. But both have funny moments and the guys are adorable. I love delinquents :3

Lovable delinquents! Although the fighting and music in Sugarless is more epic :) but both worth a watch.

The story revolves around several high school delinquents fighting to become the "top", but includes some romance and a more humorous tone as the main protagonist is a weak fighter with a strong will to never give up. The main cast of Sugarless are some of the same LDH talents that are in the HIGH&LOW series such as Shirahama Alan, Sano Reo, Machida Keita, Suzuki Nobuyuki, and Sato Taiki. The drama also has the same time format with each episode spanning around 20 minutes or so.

Though K.O. takes a (later) crazier approach on school fights and tons of bizarre unbelievable superpowers for the main delinquents, both series are very fun to watch if you love school delinquent fighting for the top ranks!

Set on the same world of K.O. but not really a remake or side-story, K.O. One is a crazy school delinquent drama with tons of bizarre superpowers and even supernatural elements, and the three series are very fun to watch if you love school delinquent fighting for the top ranks and crazy stunts!
