I'm not a fan of KDramas anyway. So you've been warned.
This dorama started off fantastic, fun, interesting. Quickly went serious and boring and predicable.
I hated Park Shin Hye's character and acting. She can do much better than that!
Cha Do Hwi can do us a favour and jump in front of a bus! I wanted to kill her so badly!
Enrique Guem was annoying and unattractive.
The music was okay to begin with but damn it's repetitive and gets very annoying!
The ending was predictable. Why do they ALWAYS do this '1 year later' crap?
Only good thing really was that Oh Jin Rak was attractive! but alas he didn't get the girl...

Having watched the previous two Flower Boy installments, I sat anxiously waiting this one. At first I wasn't sure what to make of the story because it was quite different from other stories I had seen.

I am happy to say this story was great and all encompassing. The main cast did an excellent job.

This series is an excellent choice if you are looking for something light and fun to watch. Sure it's got some heavy moments, but for the most part they are very fleeting.

I just finished watching this drama for the 2nd time.
I laughed just as much as I did the first time I watched this drama, it is very entertaining.
Enrique - Que Geum was my favorite character of all - SO adorable! Dok Mi reminded me of myself - just like she did the first time I watched it - I could relate to her a lot.
Music: not so memorable except for maybe 2 songs...
Cast: everyone played their parts well - Enrique, Dok Mi, Part-timer, & Panda eyes were my favorite characters in that order.

If you haven't watched this drama before - definitely watch it if you like to laugh and like a lighthearted story.

At the beginning, I was not really drawn into this drama. That’s not to say it didn’t have any initial charisma because I was really onboard with the stylistic filming, the story and the variety of characters. If you gave up this show because of the slow start, take my advice and give it another try.

The acting really blew me away in this show, mostly because the quality was unexpected. I kept watching because of Kim Ji-hoon’s emotional pull in early episodes but soon found that Park Shin-hye was the real star. The writers also did an excellent job in developing their characters and revealing new information about them slowly.

On the other side of things, I wasn’t especially happy with the fast-forward-bility of some of the middle episodes. Also Enrique's character can be a bit overboard and annoying. And though the filming was gorgeous I have this gripe- why is everyone so freaking fashionable? I mean Dok-mi is a shut-in for goodness sake, let’s try to make it a little more realistic, and not in that hipster-I-wear-extra-long-zanily-patterned-sweaters way.

Not my all time favorite but definitely worth a watch for its quirky, slice-of-life plot and great acting.

(Review above patterned after my in-depth review of FBND on my blog)

The story was awesome but I was expecting more from the end like a special thing or a special problem that will be done by the end of the last Ep but the music was cool the show was so funny in some times so sad in other but ultimately it was great !!
the cast was so great, they have put the right actor in the right place so through your watching you will feel like they are telling you a true story not just acting !!
any way hope you find it good and enjoy it !! ^_^ !

Cute. Super super sweet. Those are the first words that come to mind when I think about Flower Boy Next Door.

It's been a while since I have seen a light story aimed at a younger audience and that I can actually enjoy. Because I had tried to escape from them even though I'm not old at all but I wanted something light, something cute. And Flower Boy Next Door offered me that.

I shall say that I really watched it for both leads, Park Shin Hye and Yoo Shi Yoon, even though this is my first time seeing a drama with him as the main lead, I've seen bits of King of Baking and therefore, I was interested. And I like Park Shin Hye so I was wondering how she was going to play a girl who had shut herself away from the world, she played her chara in a magnificent way.

What kept my interest in this show was definitely Enrique, even though he sounds childish at first and all, you know he has a lot to tell inside. His words are deep, and I like how he wants to help Dok Mi so badly until the point in which he fell.

This story treats one-sided love in a touching way, especially when we see Dok Mi writing on her computer about it, her thoughts are full of beautiful words, even though she herself has suffered a lot, her words are beautiful though they might sound a tad depressive to some but really, there are some people who might feel like Dok Mi in real life, and that's not being weird, it's reality.

That's probably why I felt connected to her character more than to Enrique, it's not like I'm like Dok Mi, it's more about being able to relate to Dok Mi well enough. Enrique is awesome though, for trying to pull her out of that place, his intentions were good so that makes him likeable to me, plus he's cute, too cute to say no to him haha.

Overall I gave this a 9 because it kept me entertained and it made me want to find out how the story was going to end. The rewatch value is also 9 to me because I would rewatch it often, and it wouldn't bother me knowing how it's going to end. I really liked Flower Boy Next Door, makes me want to continue watching Yoon Shi Yoon's works and also the Oh boy TVN series

"It is a healing drama that soothes your wounds".That's what Dokmi said in the second special episode! I think that is what this drama is in a nutshell! It teaches you not to run away from your problems, and face them.It teaches you to forget the past and move on!
Although,I think the story lacks a little bit,for me the acting and the message of the drama make up for it immensely.

Enrique is so cute and sweet, a genuis who is always in good spirits. He is also strong no matter how difficult the circumstanes are.Dokmi rarely leaves her house. She is a damsel in distress who needs to be rescued, and guess who is her savior?! For Enrique,Dokmi is in the first place a riddle to be solved? He is wondering why she never leaves her house? It is just the beginning.

The comic manager was another favorite of mine in this drama, she is just adorable!

Cable network TvN continues to shine with their original well-written drama installments with the third enlistment of the "flower boy" series. "Flower Boy Next Door", was a feel good rom-com with just enough angst to give its characters and plot lone the depth and emotion it needed.
Flower Boy Next Door Is not a series that relied heavily on the beautiful cinematography and flashy sets that you've come expect from Korean dramas. It relied mostly on the characters, and how each of them interacted with each other to bring out the best( and worst) in one another. It was entertaining to see them quarrel, laugh, bicker, banter, and sometimes cry when things took a comedic or dramatic turn and by the end you'll see dramatic transformations that aren't forced, but instead make sense because you've seen all they've went through together.
The cast was superb! yoon shi yoon was on fire in this series, Its tough to make a childish character like Enrique likeable but he pulled it off with such ease and grace that you almost never get annoyed by his over the top antics. Park shin Hye really surprised me in this role because Go Dok Mi is not your typical K-drama lead girl she's quite, reserved and very lonely with a hidden past, a character with many layers that isn't easy to portray and I believed every single scene she was in.
The musical score was beautiful and fit the drama according to the scenes...nicely done. All in all Flower Boy Next Door is a must watch for the 2013 drama season, don't miss out!

Great cast, great story - what more do you need?

I think this drama takes k-drama to another level because it has it all - laughter, story, believable characters, emotions and a believable ending. There's always a bit of drama in all stories but this is a wonderful story, told in a down-to-earth way.

Thumbs-up to the guy who didn't get the girl - he really did his best and personally, I like him more than the main guy. His devotion, fighting spirit and earnestness really won me over - I'd take him any day! However, its the way all the sub-plots and come together in the end that gives you the warm feeling at the end - so, no tears for those who fear sad endings.

This is a story of courage and learning to trust in others, a true life story with outstanding cast and crew. Go for it!!

I'm rather new to Korean dramas, having watched only four of them so far. This show was a recommendation from a friend. I wasn't sure how I felt about it the first episode but was quickly sucked in to the story. I completely fell in love with the characters. Yoon Shi Yoon as Enrique Geum was charming and incredibly likeable. What a good actor! Park Shin Hye as Go Dok Mi was believable and a good match for Enrique. The story line was great and kept me interested the whole time. There were a couple nights I was up until 2am because I didn't want to stop watching!! The ending was really satisfying, too. Anyhow, I highly recommend this show - definitely worth watching.

So...this drama. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.
Honestly at first I just decided to watch it because I am a huge Park Shin Hye fan and Yoon Shi Yoon fan, and I was like hey! Its a flower boy drama with some of my favorite actors, but I didnt expect too much!

I WAS WRONG. This drama had some of the sweetest, saddest, and fangirl inducing moments!! By the last few episodes I was sitting on my couch fanning myself to stop from crying and having to pause the episode. Causing my parents to give me weird looks XD

Yoon Shi Yoon did and amazing job at his role. When he was being his spazzing self, he was the most adorable thing and could make absolutely anyone smile with his positive attitude. But when he was sad...LAWD GET THE TISSUES OUT. He is so convincing with his tears you would believe he is actually getting his heart broken. SO I APPLAUD YOU YOON SHI YOON. You did a great job with this role!!

Shin Hye also did a really good job playing someone with little to no personality. I cant say I liked her character much. She just seemed more cold hearted than introverted...which bothered me being kind of an introvert myself. Just because you got bullied once doesnt give you the right to treat people like that..BUT ANYWAYS. Good job Shin Hye!! Considering every role I have seen you in you have been bubbling with personality...You did a great job not bubbling XD

Anyways, the music was also really good!! I havent personally looked at the names at the ost tracks but the song that would play when something sad was going down was so beautiful and had deep lyrics. DEEP.

I dont rewatch dramas myself...but If i did I would totally rewatch this one and I recommend this drama to everyone!! It was a great storyline and is very fun to watch!!

THAT WAS MY FIRST REVIEW DONT JUDGE XD

If you're a fan of the flower boy series, this is a must watch too ^^ i like how the drama plays around with the audiences' emotion. At one moment you were laughing and out of nowhere ended up crying. They were also able to emphasize the reality of life except for the flower boys part. lolxD The cast brought out the character they played well and the lines they delivered was 'hit you in the heart' as anyone or everyone could relate with. I would say the they chose the right actors for every character. Probably it's just me but I could understand how Go Dok Mi feels when she was betrayed by her own friend. Park Shin Hye really brought the character out well. Yoon Shi Yoon managed to create Enrique of his own. You can see how he was able to show himself as a happy-go-lucky flower boy but you can also see the loneliness in his eyes. This drama shows how different people cope with loneliness and also how they show love in their own way. If this was the aim of the drama, I think the message has been delivered.
