As much as it pains me to give a show with Si Won and Chae Rim a score of 5, I can't give it a higher score. I had high hopes for it, since it had such a great cast, but the story fell flat. The writers failed to put enough "make cute" scenes in the show, which lead to a seemingly lack of relationship progression. I just never felt the love between the main leads, which ruined what could have been a great show.

I stumbled upon this drama after dropping many others as I got bored halfway through or didn't like the feel of them. This one kept my interest throughout though, even though the storyline was somewhat predictable and we have seen things like this alot in dramaland. The way they did this was lovely, we get to see the developing relationship between sung min woo and gae hwa and how they progress and feelings change as we move further in. The one with the greatest character development was sung min woo, at first he is an arrogant playboy and not very likable until he goes through some things and learns some valuable life lessons. The child actors in this were adorable and really made an impression. The pacing of the drama is realistic and im happy that the couple did not develop feelings straight away as that would of not been authentic. The wait just makes it better and more worthwhile. I do think the ending was a bit rushed however which would have to be my only take away from an otherwise fulfilling and enjoyable watch.

I had no idea who Shi Won was before this show. Having watched too many rom-coms, I found the main leads story well written and well paced. One can easily skip the side story of the producer and dance instructor. The SFL is not poisonous and one can skip her scenes too. The first chapter is blah-- however, the story becomes better and better as chapters fly by. Approximately towards the last third of the series (chapters 11 and especially 12), when the ML instinctively starts protecting the FL-- these chapters are touching and sweet. Very few dramas manage to accomplish this. I wish the ending and romance between the protagonists had been stretched more.

its light drama i though it was better from trailer but i was enjoying when i saw it .

the head line of the story is good and it could contains deeply ideas for drama than we saw.

acting and cast i really like siwon's acting , the president of product company and sure ye yon "little girl" she was soooooooo cute and i love her but ki hwa i think she is not good for the drama.

the last few eps were better than the first eps although i think the ending was ordinary and the last 15 min of last ep was so boring and not creative as the ordinary ending in most series of korean drama.

music was not bad .

overall although the weak of the drama i enjoyed seeing it ^^

Cute but unequal drama.

I found the drama to be rather funny, which makes it very easy and enjoyable to watch.

Overall the characters and actors are ok. But some are just empty shells (the two coworkers) or just plain caricatures.
You have no idea how much I wanted to slap that stupid smirk off Shi Won's face... but I kind of got used to it and I guess it makes sense for the character.

I wasn't fully convinced by the story to start with, it turned out to be a bit better than I thought, but not amazing either.
The story mostly revolved about the male lead growing up, the romance part felt forced. I wish they had shown the two main leads enjoying each other presence a bit more, it would have changed the game a great deal.
I got more interested in the second male lead and his wife's story.

Sweet and surprising

10/10 is my rating. This is a 2010 South Korean romantic comedy with 16, 60 minute episodes.

Yoon Gae-hwa (Chae Rim) divorced her cheating spouse some years ago and is struggling to support herself and her daughter. She takes a job as a housekeeper without realizing the apartment belongs to top star, Sung Min-woo. She does not make a great first impression and winds up on the outs with Min-woo. Her next interview is with a musical production company and it just so happens they desperately want to have Min-woo star in their most recent musical. She is ready to beg and plead when she, by chance, is there when Min-woo gets ding dong ditched with a daughter he did not know he had. This perfect piece of blackmail leads them to striking a bargain - she takes care of his daughter and he stars in the musical.

spoiler** This one surprised me how much I liked it. In all the sites where people list series they really liked this one did not come up. When I saw one review for this and the description it immediately captured my attention. I really like the average person meets famous person trope. In the United States, Hollywood, some of the longest relationships have been between famous people and non-famous people. I was drawn to this because I watched Siwon Choi in a couple of others and he was my favorite character. So I was looking for other things he was in and rolled across this. I did not realize who he was until I dug a little to find out more about the actor. I am a little late to having any interest in Kpop but even I heard of Super Junior even before I was listening to Kpop. Siwon did a great job of acting the part of a spoiled, narcissistic super star. Chae Rim played a super sweet and wholesome struggling single mother. I thought she was very cute the whole time even when they were trying to make her look less attractive. The personality of her character alone was enough to make her seem very beautiful. I thought the pace of the romance between the two was perfect. It was very believable when they started having feelings for each other. He was very cold with the little girl in the beginning and Gae-hwa put a lot of effort into getting him to "fall in love" with his daughter. Most of the show was spent hiding the fact that Min-woo had a woman living with him and that he had a daughter born out of wedlock. Both factors could cause a serious career ending scandal for a star. It was so heart warming to watch as his relationship with Gae-hwa and his little daughter became more important to him than fame. The only vey slight things was I wish we had been able to see the daughter come back to speaking and find out what trauma she experience. I was also surprised how abruptly it ended. You have the "their finally kissing seen" then a bunch of camera angles and it just ends. I actually thought I had hit the remote accidentally or something. Despite those minor flaws I highly recommending this very heartwarming story. I loved it! One of my favorites now.

Not even a noona romance but an ahjumma romance haha. I was curious how they’d play this one out. She’s even got the perm.
The hero is a rascal, but the heroine isn’t too far behind with her immaturity. They do kind of suit each other with the silly games they play to deal with their problems and get what they want.

It’s always interesting when the hero treats a heroine badly and then when they see another guy step on her, he feels like that’s not right.

Gae Hwa - “I think I would be really glad if you succeeded.”
Min Woo - “What’s so good about other people succeeding? You have to succeed yourself.”

For an ego-centric star, this is a nice turn around for Min Woo.

Chae Rim is a great actress. I loved how her tears were so natural and sincere. I really liked her personality. She was all the good and funny things about an ahjumma. Determined, motherly and practical. Also, Chae Rim is so cute. She’s direct, it’s lovely.

Min Woo is not the most charming of rascals, but when he tries to make things right, he does it well.
It’s quite unusual for a drama to make the hero go through a maturing process. The way he makes amends is so adorable. It was a real nice change to have the hero have to go through that development process.

I liked the whole dad vibe he ended up cultivating. It was so sweet and also weighty that this young guy who didn’t care about anything but himself started to care about his little family of females.

“What is this? They’re only having fun amongst themselves. Aigoo. Aigoo Aigoo.”

Kim Yoo Bin is so intensely cute.

Even Min Ji the daughter is really nice and clever.

Oh My Lady (2010) – I didn’t know why I watched it in the first place – but I think it was because I know Siwon is the main lead actor. The story doesn’t have a strong point to it. I guess I watched it because it was fun. The story isn’t something that catches my attention but I think it has substance on it that I just watched it. I don’t know, I feel like I don’t make sense. Maybe it is because this drama is quite forgettable. I can’t seem to remember the scenes like most of the Korean dramas I’ve watched that has impact.

Oh My Lady is a well written drama being that the story is your average older woman/younger man relationship scenario. It actually gets better and better with each episode, especially during the second half. The ending is simple but happy.

The cast was alright. I wan't really in love with any of the characters but all the actors made them believable. I do have to give a shout out to the child actors. They were so adorable!

The music was just okay nothing memorable though and I'm not sure Id rewatch this or not just because I wasn't too fond of the cast.

Overall this was pretty good and worth watching once.

the acting was good, there's nothing wrong about it but the story and how they put it together would have been very promising had it not been the lack of character development. many of reviews and comments says that the main leads lack chemistry, it's not that they lack chemistry. they DO have chemistry BUT the script or how they develop the two characters was very poor. I understand that they have to have the male lead use "ajumma" to refer to the female lead, that's ok, just to show that the female lead is older that the male lead BUT using it all throughout the script to the end is not acceptable if you are to have the male lead develop feelings for her. it literally destroyed the romantic development of the drama. apart from that, there's hardly romantic scenes, like if i'm a viewer, i would think that this two leads hate working with each other in real life. they focused too much on the supposedly side stories of the leads. the plot would have been great, it would have been much much better. even how they presented the part of the male lead's comeback thru the musical production was poorly executed. it lacks luster.

i wished they would reproduce this show so much with much romance and modern fashion
i saw the romance cute .. BUT as if it was paused on one tone.. NO PROGRESS

i liked but for me i saw it has many flaws
the development of the ML was brilliant in the contrary the FL was zero
till the end naive till the limit of stupidity , weak with low self confidence and hesitating
and her style didn't change at all
inspite of having a fixed job she still wearing like she is going to the market not for work

i wished when she worked she will got an obvious improve in her character but she remains as she was

and the second ML .. OMG he was cold as fridge
he changed for gae hwa but not for his wife which means he didn't love her at all
all his reactions towards his wife was weird and cold
i dislike his reactions so much

i liked the story much but i wished to see punishment more for ( hee won) & (Han byul) & (kwang gyu)
nice drama but it's genre should be social more than romance
