Great story

So to my suprise this was actually really good.

Honestly I wasn't so sure about this because it's pretty short so you can't make an extremly difficult story.
But they did it really well.

STORY
The story is very interesting. In the beginning it gets confusing but they explain it very clearly in the ending. The theme it was going for was very well conveyed. You don't have to expect a super difficult plotline or anything but it has enough of a plotline to make it interesting.

ACTING
I didn't know any of the actors and there not that famous but there pretty good. They convey the feelings and the story well. The main lead has only one drama on it's name (this one) and for that I think he did an incredible job.

MUSIC
Wasn't bad but not great either.

REWATCH VALUE
I'm not sure if I am going to rewatch it any time soon. What I am going to do is watch the other cafe midnights.

OVERALL
A very good story which is definitly worth the time. It's a short story so it's perfect to watch in one night (I do recommend to watch it all in one go). All in all I was pleasantly suprised. This story is definitly worth a go.

Cafe Midnight is FINALLY here

After waiting a hundred years for this to become available anywhere, and it suddenly (& finally) got released on Viki. I, of course, had to watch this right away, which I did and I have to say this didn't disappoint at all.

It was such a fascinating and short story to watch even thothough it was a bit confusing at times. I still don't know what that ending meant but hopefully I will find it in the second season. If not then I will be a teeny tiny bit disappointed but it will in no way affect my enjoyment of this show, which I really really liked.

This was overall really entertaining and nice to watch. I honestly can't wait to continue on with this companion series. I totally did not watch the sequels in one night too. *I totally did*

I quite like how every season will be set at the same cafe with the owner but will follow a new, different story every season. I think that's quite unique and I really liked the different time lines that were possible in the cage.

Also, apparently that love story between the teo war people was also a movie somehow? Call me confused now. Haha, despite some focusing elements I still really liked it. I'm also such a sucker for stories set at a cafe or bar.

Lastly, I liked how much the main character grew in these two short little episodes. I'm quite surprised and amazed at how much character development they were able to put in such a short time period.

Café Midnight (2020) - I don't really know most of the cast in the drama, and in that sense I don't think they are really good in acting. I think they just started acting because I find them awkward on the screen.

The drama is confusing, I didn't fully understand what it is all about, but as it goes episode by episode, I understand it but it takes time.

It's not something that I would recommend to anybody. Since it is just a short drama, I think it was not delivered successfully to the audience. It's just an okay drama for, not really amazing nor need to be talked about with friends.

Is our destiny fixed?

This show addresses the question of whether our destinies are fixed, and the concept of parallel universes. I found this interesting, especially since I just recently finished Blue Birthday, which addressed time travel. Nothing like sticking with the same genre, it helps things to flow more easily. If you know something that is destined to happen in your future, do you try to finesse it or change it? And, if you can change it, was it really your destiny? I also liked how the concept of healing from past wounds was brought into the story.

Beautifully filmed in light and dark and shades of brown.

I did find the story very confusing because of the women that were in it. Was it one person, two people, what? That is totally on me, however. I thought it was the perfect length, and I'll go to Season 2 soon.

A different type of mystical fantasy

I wasn't to sure about watching, but realized it's only 2ep and so I watched and I'm glad I did. To me It's a magical place you can only be invited to with past, present and future meetings. Jae young is down on himself as the girl he's like for 3years wants nothing to do with him and he gets fired. While trying to find a job hes given a offer to work for "Cafe midnight" which is only open at midnight and you cant find during the day once inside if he leaves he can't come back. He decided to stay and upon working he meets na yeon from the past who doesn't know him and a girl who states she is he ex-gf in the future, he also meets his dad who he had unresolved issues with. We also watch a military man who tells he girl not to wait and so she finally leaves then he shows up 5yrs later and he's to late. Starting season 2 then season 3 also on viki. Hope you enjoy this adventure.

A Drama I could say is time well spent

Very enjoyable to watch, it's a simple story of how timing in life is everything, if you rush then things won't work out the way they should and if you're late then you lose your chance forever. But if you are patient and time it well, then things will work out how they should. Time doesn't wait for anyone because what is over is over. Keynote however if things happen both bad and good, they happen because that is the way it should be... A drama that is punctual with every second spent watching it.

well contained story

I really liked the story and the protagonists, especially the main character has a very nice character growth, which is also the meat of the whole show. Each of the charcters make sense in their own contained bubble and where they stand at that moment in their own life; I am placing so much emphasis on this because that is not usually the case, even some of the background supporting characters have their own life going on and its visibly portayed in this series/movie.

the story itself makes sense and is in itself a contained story, with as far as i can see no plot holes, which is nice too

All in all its a very slow and tranquil story bascially no action scenes, even basically no drama, just immerse yourself into the world and enjoy for once.

the acting of the actors themselves is pretty good, they are beliavable and bring the emotions of the characters well onto the screen.

the sound is not to be underestimated either it fits the background well and i have more than once felt my emotions be influenced by it almost subconciously.

the replay value however is basically 0, while like after a good book, you will certainly miss the characters, there is no point in hanging on something that is past, kind of like the message of the story itself as well.

either way if you want a quiet evening to wind down, try it

SO GOOD, it's underrated!

It has so much value packed in 1 hour, even more than some dramas that have 16 episodes!

I love the concept, it's not entirely new, but pretty interesting spin on it. It carries deep life lessons and valuable message that anyone can relate to. It's tastefully done, without making it too complex, simple yet deep.

I love the interior, vibes and mood of the cafe too, it made me wanna visit there, it's so homely!

I also enjoy all the little details like when they make coffee, the analogy the made using coffee, the conversations among them, all the little moment count.

No moment is there for the sake of, it carries a meaning

It's seriously one of the best drama I've watched in a long time!!

Sometimes, when I watch deep show like that, they can get too heavy or complicated that i lost track or focus, but this one isn't the case. It's still very enjoyable to watch, and many moments that make me smile.
