Zhou Xu visits Wen Ke Xing, who was trying to dig a grave for the Four Sages of Anji. He asks him whether he was satisfied with the result of his actions that lead to the death of people who were not bad. Lao Wen angrily questions him if he could dare say that he had killed only bad people. They split up, reminisce their past conversations and get drunk. The fifth and second brother, along with Gao Chong discuss about Ao Lai Zi's death and how they were all partially responsible for it. Shen Shen is revealed to have followed him in search of the armor, only to find him supposedly killed by Ghost Valley. Mount Hua sect's leader expresses his displeasure of the Five Lakes Alliance to his disciples. Han Ying helps Zhou Xu get well. He offers to help him with whatever his old leader needed, even if it meant going against Prince Jin's orders. Ah' Xu gives him a piece of the armor, only to come to know that Lao Wen had made several imitations of the same one, leaving him confused about his intentions. Gao Chong betroths his daughter to Cheng Ling despite both of their disapproval. Cheng Ling asks Gu Xiang for a way out of Yueyang Sect. Xiang visits Wen Ke Xing, who strictly asks her to remember that she was a ghost of the valley and not meant to feel pity for others. He meets all the ghosts and praises them for their evil deeds, enquiring about several events, killing one of them in his rage and terrifies the rest of devils before settling down to plot for the Heroes Conference.
