This is one definite watch. I have enjoyed a Japanese Drama after so long. The story, the characters, the plotline – ALL add to the charm of this one. I love the way that in spite of the romance running as a strong theme, the writers have managed to focus on the medical part of the drama beautifully. The lead pair is enigmatic – amazing chemistry! Her dedicated love for him, her bubbly personality and her ability to connect with the audience and patients are so well acted by Kamishiraishi who plays the energetic Sakura. What do I say about Sato who plays the cold and enigmatic Tendo!!! He is swoon-worthy (Do I need to say any more?) I loved the fast paced-ness of this drama. For the first time, I didn’t want a drama to end so soon. Do watch and enjoy this one.

Ending: Happy

If you can get through the first 2 episodes then you will be hooked on this drama. The performances individually of each character are brilliant and that's the strength of this drama.
I absolutely couldn't see any chemistry between the lead pair but their interactions are fun to watch. If you can keep the romance aside and watch this as a mystery/thriller drama, then you will love it. In fact, the chemistry between the second lead pair is much more than the main lead but as I mentioned, don't watch this as a romantic one.
The story starts out as typical episodic case gone wrong types but then it all intertwines into one big mystery which is connected to a bigger plot. You do get hooked to it slowly as the mystery unravels.
The supporting cast is excellent. Chen wen shan, Suun Lin, Ada Pan (mother and excellent that too) and the character of Mo Di Ping enacted by Vince Kao has to be mentioned. But of course the most impressive of all is the role of the male lead superbly enacted by George Hu.
It's a fast-paced one so there is no chance for it to drag.
Watch it and enjoy it!

You should NOT watch this one.

If you could watch this once and want to watch it again, I will treat you to dinner.

I still am trying to figure out what this drama was all about???? How the story starts and where it goes and where it ends is too bizarre. I am not sure what was the purpose of such a medley. The actors individually are good performers but put together with a bad plotline and what you get it something undefined.
I would not recommend it to anyone.

Fast paced drama with great acting

I am going to start by raving about the anti-heroes. What is it about them lately!! First of all hats off to the team who has chosen them and then to the actors who have portrayed the characters. Ok Taec Yeon is amazing in his dual portrayal of the foolish apprentice and the evil CEO. His display of both personalities is amazing. One villain who is so likable and yet disliked at the same time. I want him to be with the heroine but at the same time, I want him to be tortured the way he tortures anyone who comes in his way.
His stepbrother, acted by Kwak Dong Yeon is again superb in his portrayal of the character of Jang Han Seo.

While Song Joong Ki is good, Jeon Yeo Bin as Hong Cha Young is FABULOUS. Her craziness, her laugh, her over-the-top reactions, her style, and her emotions are just unique to her. She brings her character alive with a vigor that is unmatched.

And what do I say about the residents of the mall! They are hilarious and adorable in their endeavors to help the team and in their effort to find the gold. The undercover guy from the intelligence security (Im Chul Soo as Ahn Ki Seok) is the best thing to happen to comic relief in this one. His expressions are to die for. That scene where he asks for a hug from Vincenzo is just tooooooooo funny. Such a melange of characters and each one with their unique personalities. Love it.

The plot has been brilliantly interlaced with a serious thread and apt moments of comic relief. Kudos to the writers and the director.

Finally the main character Vincenzo is unsurpassed in his acting by Song Joong Ki. He is the perfect blend of raw toughness and a kind heart. His relation with his mom progresses like his character. Tough on the outside and soft on the inside. His work ethics are very clear; that he is doing his job and he will have to get his hands dirty while doing so. When he leaves Italy to go to Korea we see a rational side of his which is what we see in the entire series actually but the foundation of his character has been written beautifully and of course portrayed brilliantly by Song Joong Ki. He is excellent in his portrayal of Vincenzo.

The background score is supreme too. It builds the right amount of suspense and I love the way the tempo changes whenever a particular scene is highlighted. I give a lot of importance to the background score, especially in thrillers. They add a lot of momentum and character to a scene.

And as a team the two leads are perfect. Their badass nature just compliments each other. Waiting to see if their chemistry culminates into something. And even if it doesn’t, there is so much going for them.

What I also like is that both the opposite sides are strong and their fight is not just one-sided.

I am just on episode 12 where the big reveal has happened and I couldn’t wait to write this review. Going to binge-watch the rest. Ciao!
( Watch this one. It’ll keep you on your toes and tickle your funny bones)

Finished watching it.....and it doesn't disappoint. Everybody will have their opinions on why someone was killed or why the end was the way it is. But if you look at it logically, it's the perfect end with the much-anticipated kiss.

JUST ONE WORD.....SUPER!!!!

The real hero of this drama is the villain played superbly by “ Park Sung Woong”. Without his powerful presence, I don’t think this drama would be as interesting. I did read the reviews before I watched this one and frankly I don't think it is as bad as it is being portrayed. All the actors played their roles brilliantly. In fact, I have come to the conclusion that Korean actors are really one of the best that I have seen in dramas. They get into their roles seamlessly.
The plot is interesting, the twists and turns are as expected, the tension is aptly placed and the acting is good. All of this combines it into a good fast-paced thriller. Yes, it does tend to drag at times but it recovers soon enough to grab your attention. I love the background score. It’s a definite one time watch.

You should watch this one (IF YOU WANT TO! )

ENDING: Happy

The story is nothing new yet it somehow hooks you. It’s the characters who make it come alive.
The most hilarious moments are with the office staff with their (mis) interpretations of various events. They send you into splits. They are simply awesome.
The lead pair are good actors. I just didn’t like the way their characters turned silly when they started dating. After seeing him so stern and principled to suddenly see him acting foolishly is literally “foolish”. But all in all their chemistry is good and the change in Chi-Won’s character from cold to compassionate is worth checking out. The second lead pair is refreshing ( loved their parallel story). Once they overcome their hitches, they seem like the perfect pair facing obstacles together. The anti hero is funny yet evil. He is impressive.
I feel it could have been completed in 12 episodes. Didn’t need to drag it so far. But at the same time it leaves you with a feel good factor.
Watch it on a day when you want to laze around and not stress yourself by getting emotionally involved in the story or characters.

As the synopsis states "It's a drama based on the stories of people who are used to living alone, living in a shared home and opening up on their feelings and finding true love."

It a short 4 episode series. It should have been easy to watch but i did find it slow at times. There is nothing really wrong with it and you can see it as a filler. The actors are good but there is something missing.

Do you have patience and intelligence? Then watch this.

Should you? Would you? Could you?

Ending: Happy for some and yet……..

This is one for those who have patience and intelligence.
Time travel is such a delicate topic which if handled badly can go array. But Sisyphus the Myth handles this plot device very well. It takes a little time to get used to it - the back and forth scenes in the timelines , the replaying of the future but it grabs the attention if you have the patience to sit through it.
The basis of the story is the journey of Park Shin-hye portraying the character of Kang Seo-hae who belongs to the future and travels to the present where Han Tae-sul brilliantly portrayed by Cho Seung-woo is predicted to create a time machine. She is on a mission to stop him from doing so as the future is ravaged by a nuclear war.
I cannot really write too much as there are so many twists and turns but all connected to the big plot.
The plot is something that you get sucked into gradually so I suggest give it time to sink in.
The actors are brilliant in their roles. Park Shin-hye’s action scenes are kick ass.
Kim Byung-chul as Sigma is fantastic. He is one intelligent anti-hero. His reasoning makes the viewer believe in his actions. But in the end, it’s the hero who outsmarts him.
I really liked Cho Seung-woo’s acting in this. I have only seen him in Stranger and that’s been my impression of him. But seeing him as this lovable, mischievous Han Tae-sul is a real delight. His character has wit, strength, and emotions. His chemistry with Park Shin-hye is something that gradually grows in the drama and in our hearts too. We don’t want them to be apart. We want that happy ending for them.
I am glad that romance didn’t color the whole plot. It’s a gradual cultivation of their feelings which then influences a lot of their decisions.
The end is satisfying for a hard-core romantic but even a tragic end with a suspension of belief for the good of the world would have been acceptable but I have no complaints. I am all for happy endings. But then again the final end suggests something else. No spoilers from me here.
I just wish they could have shown a reunion with the brother.
I am giving this an 8 for the concept and performances. There are loopholes but they can be set aside.
Watch it if you like the concept of time travel.

Ending: Happy

It’s a drama packed with sweetness.
Cheesy? Yes but you can’t not like it.
It’s light and yet gives the sport the screen time it deserves. The actors are good in their roles.
The lead actress (Sebrina Chen as Sang Tian)is confident and lovable in her disguise of a boy. The hero (Darren Chen as Wen Bing) is fab in his portrayal of the star ice hockey player. He’s gentle, lovable and confident and plays the perfect boyfriend. His face is very expressive. Their chemistry is very good. The supporting cast is equally fab. The actress portraying the mother displays a perfect balance of sternness and love. And of course Vivian Sung as Coach Ma just completes the circle of good performances.
I love the fact that the team easily accepts her revelation as a girl and they treat her the same way. All in all it’s a feel good drama with no stress in it. Watch it and enjoy it.

I have fast forwarded and seen this one in 2 days only because I was hoping it would interest me at some point. The cast is so impressive. Major eye candy and their performances are good too. But the story and its execution lack a lot. It’s got a lot of unnecessary scenes and dialogues which beyond a point get frustrating. I also found very little chemistry between the main lead. In fact there is more chemistry between the female lead and the second lead (Yu Le Xuan).
What I really liked about this drama is the banter between the 4 friends. This is what makes it worth watching if you want to.

This was just not my cup of tea.

I have no idea how time flew while I was watching this one. It grips you from the first moment until you finish it. Some may say that it’s just a simple love story but the way it captures your attention is what makes it unique. It’s a drama of relationships (siblings, love, parent-child, friendships) with each individual relationship given it’s due and unique plotline. And they are each beautifully portrayed by the people concerned. l love the way they have switched the change in times from past to present (thanks to the flashbacks) as we go along the drama. So well written and it grips you throughout.
The relationship between the main leads is so pure and intense as you follow their love story from school into adulthood. The deep love he has for her is probably what everyone craves for in a partner. The way they assume they are going to be married and have kids displays the assured love they have towards each other. I loved every character in this drama.
The second lead pair has equal chemistry and they are adorable together. The third lead pair is also v good. How the makers managed to keep all three parallel love stories interesting is amazing! The relationship between the two best friends is so wonderful. I love the way the female lead supports her best friend when she supposedly gets pregnant. This is what best friends do.
What a beautiful brother and sister relationship they have portrayed. Again, deep understanding and love for each other. The relationship of the female protagonist with the parents is so beautiful. This was one drama that I wished would have another 10 episodes and I wouldn’t have minded. What I liked is that they didn’t only focus on the romance between the main lead but also other relationships. I highly recommend watching it.

How did I miss this gem? Am glad I took it out of my treasure box and finally watched it.
Firstly, the imagery and graphics of this drama are mind-blowing. The life of “Glory” is so well animated. The matches literally come alive. You feel as if you are actually a part of a video game. It’s that detailed! And each match and each game is so exciting. You can’t not get involved and you can’t escape that knot in your tummy when it's your favorite team member playing.

Yang Yang as the male lead, Ye Xiu, just fits into the role perfectly. He portrays the role of the fallen leader to an internet café manager to the leader of Team Happy effortlessly. His character is a strong one who decides to take his supposed downfall as a challenge and is determined to come out a victor. His love for the game Glory is what brings that victory to him. He seeks the same passion in the new team that he builds. I love the way each team member is introduced one by one with their own story given due importance and their due airtime.
I love the relationship he shares with the leaders of the other teams. It's healthy. It's competitive. Its rivalry at its purest.

While there is no romance between the main leads (Ye Xiu & Chen Guo), we can feel glimpses of it. A fleeting comment, a look but it's there. It's subtle. I like it a lot. Maybe there is a possibility of it coming to the fore in the sequel but that’s again not something whose absence will take away the essence of this drama. The focus is on gaming and esports and it delivers that beautifully.

It makes us reflect on a lot of life lessons if we actually listen to the dialogues carefully (thanks to some amazing subtitles) ….my best one being “The key to winning is not the tactic you choose but to find one that suits you”

It’s a drama about perseverance, about fighting for your passion, for doing what you love, for team building, and finding your own strengths.

You won't get bored!

Sizzling chemistry!!!

Ending: All’s well that end’s well

If you want to watch a “mostly” stress-free drama with a lot of chemistry between the two main lead pairs, then this is the one for you.
While you have the main lead pair knowing each other from childhood, the other lead pair is the typical FL falling in love with the ML and her chase. But what is good is their repartee which doesn’t let you fast forward.
The FL has a severe allergy to her own tears which makes her faint every time she sheds them. The ML vows to protect her from crying and catches her every time she drops down. They are so comfortable with each other that it doesn’t seem like a drama but a window to their actual world....that's how good their acting is. They are childhood friends turned hostile (on the FL’s part). They work together and the story takes on a mysterious tone when the subject of the FL’s father’s death is brought in.
The mystery is resolved. Some misunderstandings occur but are dispelled eventually.
But all this wouldn’t be complete without the stellar acting of the negative ML brilliantly portrayed by Kido Gao as Du Lei. What a performance! What an actor he is! He reminded me of Kim Woo Bin from The Heirs. Brilliant turn of emotions. Brilliant change of character from negative to positive and negative again. The only drawback I found was the over the top expressions some of the times.
The supporting cast is equally good too.

Towards the end:
I loved the fact that we lived through the ML’s (both pairs) love with them for a span of 6 extra episodes instead of just a moment of happy ending. And I loved the proposal which strangely brought tears to my eyes. I felt as if I rode along their journey of love with them and was happy to see it culminate in the perfect ending that was.

All in all, It's a good drama with a typical love story brought to life by good acting thanks to the entire cast.

For poetry lovers, this is one treat. I loved the way the poetry is weaved into each episode. The story revolves around the female protagonist who gives up her dream of studying literature and becoming a poet and instead chooses to become a physiotherapist to support herself. It is her journey of rejections and optimism and finally finding her true love. While it is set in a hospital, the focus is more on relationships than actual cases but that really doesn’t take the charm away. Let’s just call it a romantic drama within a backdrop of a hospital (yes, that’s more apt).
All the actors are good. The comic element via Defconn’s indecisiveness is hilarious.
The chemistry between the lead pair is awesome. But the story sits on Lee Yu Bi’s shoulders and she is a winner through and through.
It’s a delightful watch for those who enjoy a soft romance without any major upheavals. It’s fun, it's emotional, it's light and it's enjoyable.

Please don't watch this one. There is absolutely no sense in an abrupt story even if its a web series. Le Jun Kai is a 9 episode web drama which is adapted from the novel written by Fei Wo Si Cun, a popular writer who is known for her tragic novels.
Nothing makes much sense...and the end...... so sudden! The female lead is the only good thing about this series. There is a lot of hate I agree but even that is so coarse and the scenes end up abruptly too. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone not even if you are bored and this is the last drama to watch in the world.
