K Drama worth watching!

Hey drama lovers out there!
The last couple years there have only been a few Korean dramas that I have enjoyed watching.
Don't know if the problem lies with me or if Korean Drama land just lost some of its appeal (to me at least)...
This is not an actual review...just my feels towards this drama.
I'm an Hyeri Fan...I just love her...so I was really looking forward to this, even though I hadn't read the webtoon.
It's just my kind of drama...I went in ..no expectations.
SO YEAH...
I was totally blown away from ep 1...and it just kept getting better...every character...their growth, the plot, the backdrop, everything was so good...it really was a pleasure watching this... all the Cameos... had me in stitches...
I HOPE everyone enjoys this as much as I did!

Take care and happy drama watching!
XOXO
Uni

Please give us a sequel!!

I just finished the last episode 10 minutes ago and I'm so happy with the ending. After the emotional rollercoaster the past two episodes took me on, the finale did not disappoint!

One thing though–I'm obsessed with the side couples. Badly. So badly that I NEED a sequel where we get some more character development for them. I'm specifically talking about one side couple that was introduced in the last episode (I dare not spoil) but I BET I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE FEELING THIS WAY.

Anyway, if you're on the fence about watching this and you love jang ki yong and hyeri as much as I do... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Watch it! I did and I have no regrets.

Solid, Cute KDrama

So now that I've seen Doom At Your Service I realize that show reminds me of this show in that they both have a fantasy element, an innocent girl who gets wrapped up with said fantasy element and that both men are very cold and stoic... until they're not.

The only difference for me is that by episode seven of Doom I desperately wanted to quit watching as I felt no chemistry between them despite my love for the actress. And there wasn't enough charisma or charm coming from the male lead alone to really keep my interest.

I'm not sure I'd re-watch this, but it was a solid little love story for me.

LOVED IT...

definitely worth watching . the chemistry that was between the actors is just so mind=blowing . the story is not new , we already saw dramas with such plots but this one here is special in its own way . one thing i would say that wasn't my cup of tea is the last ep , half the episode dam spent it crying , the last ep felt rushed to me but overall i highly recommend this lovely drama . i was hooked from the first ep till the last . since i'm a college student myself , i do not mind finding a gumiho of my own lol

Romcom > Fantasy

This drama was a funny and laid-back one that you can watch with a light heart and without stress just as Kang Han-Na said in their interview.

This is adapted from a webtoon with the same title. And with regards to that, I have nothing to say as I haven't read the webtoon yet.

I can assure you that the actors' chemistry was over the roof! Your heart will burst from their fluttering interactions. Even off-cam and on interviews their chemistry is tremendous. I expected that some scenes will be very cliche as this is a romcom but I was surprised the scenes were creative, well-made, and very high in quality.

I was also surprised by our female lead's attitude as she is very straightforward. Her fashion style was also lovely!

The OSTs were great and remarkable that every time you hear that song it will be nostalgic after watching the drama. They also played a BGM which was very cutesy and nice that made the scene more heartwarming.

I only got dissatisfied with one thing; there were problems left hanging but then I understand as those were not very crucial. But over that, I enjoyed the drama a lot and it made me very ecstatic.

Amazing!

Omg!!! This was probably one of the best kdramas I’ve seen in a long time!!! This was amazing! I’m so sad to see it end!! The actors they casted for every single role was fantastic, especially for Woo Yeo!! The only things I would say tho is that I wish we could have seen Sookyung and Seok’s romance blossom in the middle of the drama like Jaejin and Hye Sun!! Other than that I loved this drama so much! It had the perfect blend of Comedy, Romance, and even Sadness!! I wish there was a 2nd season, but I kinda liked how it ended!! Overall I HIGHLY recommend watching this drama!! It doesn’t matter if you don’t like fantasy show’s or not!! THIS IS WORTH IT!!!

Entertaining

It was a nice drama with lots of comedy, I would recommend it if you are looking for a light story.
At first I was really hooked with the characters and the main couple, but I slowly started to lose interest in them. To be honest the ML had a kind of bland personality while the FL was great, she was lively, fun and determined. Their love story wouldn´t have worked if not for all her effort.
The story was predictable but overall entertaining.
The best thing for me were the side characters, the friendship between them was hilarious to watch.

Crazy show with crazy, out-of-the-world chemistry between the leads

I'm the type if person who mostly watch kdramas for leisure, that's it. But these romcom made me do crazy things such as create my own twitter account, everyday check on feeds regarding MRIAG, watch all clips on IQIYI and actually stan the actors on their IG accounts.
I wouldn't say this was the best that I watched in 2021 (as there are an array of REALLY good kdramas currently airing such as HP and PWIL -but they are of diff genre) , however the memory of these show leaves a warm fuzzy feeling and a smile on my face.
Not the "best" i watched for all years of watching kdramas, but I'd say this is among my TOP 10 and is the BEST ROMCOM of all time for me.

By the way, did I mention the leads have electrifying chemistry on and off screen?
'Cause they do. Check it out!

HUMANS CAN DECIDE THEIR OWN FATE

If there's a lot on your plate and you can't decide what to watch next i guess My roomate is a gumiho can be the one. The drama was sweet . tbh I enjoyed the second leads more than the main ones. While continuing the drama I found sometimes the drama was too slow or dragging , I felt few episodes some parts to be boring enough or irrelevant for the drama but other than that I absolutely loved the drama how the way it went. The ending was wrapped was so beautifully , we got to see so many couples paired up at the end except one but it was meaningful enough to let go of your loved ones. In , True Beauty , how bad we felt for the 2nd lead you might feel that too. The story revolved around fate , destiny , multiple separation between the main leads which was quite frustrating enough but at the same time funny at times too , the female lead made so wrong decision at times .
Ok so why I gave 8 overall because I felt some how the chemistry lacked between the main lead and even sometimes the female lead went really out of the box to leave him at bad times maybe her character was portrayed as to be naive or dumb but she was fun too . I once again say that I loved the 2nd lead more. THE WHOLE DRAMA WAS EXACTLY OR JUST SIMILAR TO MY MAN IS CUPID . If you are watching this drama after My man is cupid yk what i mean. As I said there were good scenes but something was missing in this whole drama the entire . u are good to go for a 1 watch but I won't really rewatch it
That's how I felt the entire time

A 1000 Years Old Charming Gumiho

Since this drama remained beautiful, interesting and entertaining in its entirety, from episode 1 to episode 16, then I will simply repeat my initial impression from episode 1.

How can I say this using the most simplest words in the English dictionary…?
I simply loved this drama.
What a world of difference between “My Roommate is a Gumiho” and “Doom at Your Service.”
From A to Z… The writing, the casting, the general acting, the directing and THE COMICAL LINES were on point.
I am so happy that I waited for the full completion before I started it.
My Roommate is a Gumiho has become my third favorite Gumiho’s storyline after…
- Gu Family Book
- Gumiho: Tale of the Fox's Child

A Hell Of A Ride

Really enjoyed the drama initially, Woo Yeo and Dam were very fun to watch. I'm a little dissapointed with some of the choices made in their relationship as it got closer to the end (Woo Yeo is jealousy is just too much to bare). I adored the supporting cast and the college life, it was a real joy to see that and I couldn't help but reminisce of my college days pre-pandemic. The couples and friendships were the real stunners of this show honestly, *chefs kiss*. Check out my full review here: https://youtu.be/jiBQA0tZfM8

My greatest companion throughout my self-quarantine!

When I first heard that I was tested positive for Covid and had to basically distance myself from everyone in my family, I was a little stressed out. I needed something light and fluffy to watch, something that could make me forget about all the bad things I had in my mind. My Roommate is a Gumiho is the first ongoing drama I watched in a very long time. I stopped watching ongoing dramas, but I knew I had to start watching one again for My Roommate is a Gumiho.

I wasn’t really interested on watching this drama, but as I saw my brother laughing out loud and getting invested in this drama, I had to start watching it too. So I started this right away on my first day of self-quarantine. And, it CLEARLY succeeds in making me laugh out loud! I watched this as I eat, as I rest, I just binged this drama all day long. The first 8 episodes were just epic and funny and everything nice! I just loved every characters here, from the famous Lee Dam and Mr Gumiho, Hye Sun, Jae Jin and Soo Kyung.

The 8 episodes were completed so fast, and I had to wait for more episodes. That’s when I decided to watch Reply 1988 as well, since I’m just so so so in love with Hyeri’s incredibly natural acting. Watching Reply 1988 with all the famous actors like Ryu Jun Yeol and Park Bo Gum acting with Hyeri made it seem like Jang Ki Yong’s acting wasn’t that great. I continued watching Episode 11-14, and my interest in this drama slowly died down, there were no longer much funny scenes, and Jang Ki Yong’s acting was a little too stiff for my taste. This wasn’t what I signed up for! What kept me going was the side characters being more interesting than the main couple. Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri had excellent chemistry, they look like a great couple indeed, but compared to the lively Hyeri being so natural in her acting, the flat Jang Ki Yong’s acting doesn’t look that good, let alone the fact that he had to look a little sick for the storyline in some episodes. The two female bullies, Da Young and Seo Jin’s acting was not so great either, but it doesn’t really bother me since they were not the main roles.

The cameos here were terrific! Those who watched Reply 1988 would be so thrilled watching this drama. And the other cameos were great as well! Many famous actors and actresses appeared in this drama, and it was interesting finding them here!

I really hoped for a nice ending, and I definitely got one! I finished Episode 15-16 yesterday and today, and it finally picked up my spirits back! Putting Kang Hanna, Kim Do Wan and Park Kyung Hye as important characters is a really excellent decision! Choi Woo Sung and Weki Meki’s Doyeon were great support characters as well! They made the drama even better and the scenes a lot funnier and entertaining. The funny scenes came back, and all the fluffiness came back. Thank God I was so used to tvN making a whole new conflict last minute! The last episode made up for the few boring episodes and to sum up, this drama was a great watch! The OSTs were super great as well! Overall, a 9/10, truly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
