You Are My Glory is a very special drama that covers many aspects of what we call "life" and "romance". From revealing the hard work behind an aerospace engineer to showing what real love should be like, the drama really teaches and touches a viewer's heart. Whether you like astronomy, acting, true love, or esport gaming, there's something in this drama that you can relate to. That's how special it is.

**Story**
The drama's setting takes place in one of China's most modern cities: Shanghai. On the outside, it seems like a nice and loving place to live in, but what people don't see is the hard work put in by the people there, and that's where we are introduced to our two main characters: Yu Tu and Qiao JingJing. A simple game brings them together after 10 years, and the love between them blossoms soon after. Not only does the drama depict the beautiful and heartwarming care and love between these two characters, it also shows what the adult life is like: stressful, tough, wrecking. But, at the same time, the drama teaches you to persevere through the storm and to never give up.

**Acting/Cast**
Yu Tu (Actor: Yang Yang 杨洋) is an aerospace engineer who, ever since he was a child, had the dream to explore beyond earth. This motivates him to continue to strive, but at the same time, he faces the brutal reality called "life", in which he is forced to decide if he should continue chasing his dream or switch to a financial major that will provide more time to spend with his family. Because of this, he was also very hesitant to face his feelings towards Qiao JingJing since he didn't know what he could give her if he couldn't even give her his time. However, Qiao JingJing was very mature and understanding, and this soon brought them together...forever. On the other hand, our smart genius taught us what aerospace engineering really is: physics, math, cooperation, restless nights, and literally a doctor but "operating" on rovers, rockets, and satellites instead. We see the hard work these people put into their work and the love/passion they have for it. I'm sure the last episode touched all of the viewers' hearts when we see their hard work pay off, and I'm sure future viewers will feel the same. High respect for scientists and engineers all around the world. They really deserve more recognition. Yang Yang did a wonderful job portraying this character; Out of all of his masterpieces, this character and his acting was my favorite. His facial expressions were on point, and he truly improved a lot.

Qiao JingJing (Actor: Dilraba Dilmurat 迪丽热巴 迪力木拉提) is an actress in the drama, and perhaps one of the most understanding character I've ever met. Her love for Yu Tu did not change since high school, despite them not seeing each other for almost 10 years. She truly loves her job, and her determination and perseverance is something we should all learn. I truly saw a character growth in her; she changed into a mature and understanding woman. She was the one that never forgot Yu Tu and his dream and later encouraged him to never stop chasing it. After they got together, she missed him dearly due to the long distances caused by their careers, but their love for each other never wavered. The last time I saw Dilraba was in "The Long Ballad", and she left a lasting impression on me (high recommend that drama btw). She didn't fail to disappoint me this time either! This drama definitely raised my respect towards actors/actresses as well.

I really enjoyed seeing the interaction and way of communication between Yu Tu and JingJing. They didn't let their relationship affect their individual jobs, and vice versa. Both worked hard in their professions, and both worked hard on keeping their relationship healthy. This is true love. Respect, understanding, mutual communication, listening, and never letting that love waver. In addition, I want to mention our support characters that contributed to this masterpiece. I loved the relationship between Guan Zai and his wife, Shen Jing because they set an excellent example for Yu Tu and JingJing, as well as us. Even though their love faced obstacles, they made it. I loved the strong bond between JingJing, her manager, and her assistance, Xiao Zhu. They really supported her, truly. Lastly, we can't forget the squad: Zhai Liang, Sha Bao, and Long Wang. And of course, our second couple: Hu Ke Hang (Xiao Hu) and Xiao Li, and the single dude (whom we all relate to): Meng An Yu. Oh, and of course, Yu Tu's parents (especially his mom), and JingJing's parents. Shout out to all of them. We can't appreciate them enough.

**Music**
This drama had some strong songs. Some of my favorites are my following:

1. "Born to be an Eagle" 《生来是鹰》Chen XueRang's voice is one of my favorites. I first heart him singing "Long Day" from the drama "Our Secret" (high recommend too lol), and I've loved his voice ever since. This song was so powerful; It really gives you adrenaline. I loved hearing it play when the rocket was launched because it hits you with the realization that the rocket symbolizes the 10 years of effort, time, and sweat put into this project. It's like you're there with everyone cheering. Definitely my favorite song from the drama.

2. "Fall in Love" 《陷入爱情》Let me just say, I did not know, nor did I expect the singers to be Curley Gao and Mika. I loved Curley Gao and her strong and beautiful voice. This song was so cute and really adds light especially when you're having a bad day.

3. I also really liked "Fireworks Star" 《烟火星辰》sang by Liu YuNing 刘宇宁 and "Time Monologue" 《光阴独白》XuJiaYing 徐佳莹. They were both cute songs as well that nicely fit into the relationship between Yu Tu and JingJing:)

**Life Lessons/What I Have Learned**
1. A true, healthy, and loving relationship not only requires maturity and understanding from both sides, but also communication, patience, well knowing of each other, support for each other, and encouragement. Of course, a bit of sweetness every once in a while will improve it as well!

2. You WILL face challenges and stress in life no matter how smart you are or no matter what route you go on in life. However, instead of surrendering to these emotions, fight through them, and never give up. There's a Chinese saying that goes "There is a rainbow and bright sky after a storm". Also, we can all be like JingJing and encourage the people around us to never stop chasing their dreams!

**What some may DISLIKE**
If you're the type of person who isn't a fan of kisses or cute scenes like that, then this drama might not be your cup of tea. I still recommend you to watch it because it isn't just those things, it's much more, but just a heads-up in case. However, don't worry about crazy evil antagonists who think of every possible way to hurt their enemies. There are antagonists here, but they're not mentioned that much:)

1. "But life is like water, even if the waves are rippling, it can't change the overall situation. Don't always focus on what you have gained, but learn to cherish, cherish what you have now, and cherish what is to come."

2. "Wait for me to get out there. Maybe the moon base will be constructed. Then, I can have the moon as my starting point, conquer mars, and fly out of the solar system".

3. "The distance of 30 to 40 years does not mean that it takes 30 to 40 years to catch up."

**Rewatch**
The main couple in this drama is the one that I will definitely run back to when it comes to relationships. When I need a boost of motivation, I will come back and watch the rocket launch. I thank everyone, the cast, crew, and writers for producing this wonderful drama:D

Best C-Drama I've watched so far!

I've watched and re-watched this drama several times already and I grew to love the characters each and every time.

I particularly liked how this drama showed the common issues and concerns of regular people and how they come to their decisions in a non-toxic way. It's also great how the couples here are shown doing their very best in their relationships... from Yu Tu and Jing Jing's parents to their colleagues down to Yu Tu's deputy who was going through rough patches with his wife. Their struggles were very real and so was their love for their families and I found that admirable.

The way Jing Jing and Yu Tu grew into their relationship was admirable. Yes, they were both mature yet the drama showed how playful they remained throughout as well. Their personalities didn't change and their quirky actions made their chemistry onscreen super fun and enjoyable!

Last but definitely not the least, thank you director and writers for making sure that their kisses and love scenes felt realistic. None of those annoyingly timid and dry kisses here! There's a certain level of aaaaaaaw when we watch dramas that portray couples as real humans with real needs. That physical love is an amazing form of communication that makes you all warm inside. Like c'mon, real couples don't just hold hands, you know?

The Slice of Life and Romance Show You Don't Want to Miss

I read Gu Man's You're My Glory two years ago. I liked it, but for some reason, I was not very attached to the characters. But when I heard the rumors that two of the most beautiful faces on the Chinese entertainment screen will portray Yu Tu and Jing Jing, I squealed with excitement and anticipation (yes, I am superficial indeed).

And so, when I started watching You Are My Glory, I took it as an independent show and not based on the novel. But I was quite surprised that the showrunners have conformed to the original theme and overall feeling of the novel. I mean not in a bad way.

While the first half of the show was about Yu Tu and Jing Jing falling for each other, I loved the latter part more. Still, those gazes they exchanged, their strong attraction that they're not even trying to hide, Jing Jing's expectations, and Yu Tu's uncertainties were wonderful to watch. I want to praise Yang Yang and Reba for bringing Yu Tu and Jing Jing alive. They have great dynamics and intense chemistry to boot..or maybe, it's just the effect of two very attractive people in one frame. whatever it is, I loved this adaptation very much.

Like I said, I loved the latter part of the show more. It portrayed Yu Tu and Jing Jing's life as a couple. I won't go deeper and dissect their inner thoughts and characters, but I want to commend the director of the show for making such mundane daily life quite interesting.

i love this drama so much

when i started this drama im not a fun of it until episode 8,i feel it some kind of boring because i dont like games,but because of the female lead and male lead that i like them so much i continue wathing it even if i dont like it from the start i keep on forwarding it until i reach in episode 8 and thats the start of the episode and told myself i will finish this until the end and i thank myself i did not drop watching this even if its boring from the start,overall its very sweet, light,no misunderstanding,and the casting they are so beautiful and handsome the story is so lovely,the sweet moments and intimacy of both leads are seems real♥️❤️♥️the love story that we dream,i will rewatch this if i miss this couple..i hope a lot of people watching this...you will not regret it its very lovely..

No evil characters, no breakups, no misunderstandings + so much chemistry = The secret recipe

"You are my glory" definitely exceeded my expectations. As someone who is not a big fan of modern C-dramas, this is an absolute exception for me.
If I could split the drama to 2 parts and rate each, I'll give 7.5/10 to the first 20 eps and 9.5/10 for 21-->32, but over all, I give it 9/10.
Like any other drama this one has of course Pros and Cons.
*Cons:
_This drama is a slow burn romance, so yeah it took them a while to get together (I like slow burns so I'm not bothered much with that)
_Too many game scenes in the first 14 eps that can get you bored if you are not interested in theme, but the chemistery makes it worth it (you can still use fast forward button if you feel like it)
_Some deep scenes and conversations about airospace technology and physics that are boring for people who can't understand a word of it (like myself).
_The FL(Dilraba)'s face: too much foundation that her face looks too white like a ghost compared to her neck, what a shame for such a beautiful actress.
_The drama wouldn't need 32 episodes if they haven't wasted a long time in the first 20 episodes.

*Pros:
_Handsome ML and a beautiful FL with so much chemistry that they look like a real couple, what do you need more?
_The gaming scenes make the game look so interesting with deep strategies ( I even started playing League of Legends because of it)
+ it was the first interactions between the ML and FL after many years so it was worth it.
_Though I know nothing about airospace engineering, the scenes looked real and well prepared.
_No evil characters (the ML had an ex GF and the FL had an ex BF but they had no affect on the couple's relationshap)
_No stupid unecessery misunderstandings
_No long breakups (as soon as they get together, nothing separete them)
_Starting from ep21, the drama level up so high, the writing and directing of the rom com scenes of the couple+ their incredable chemistery and their looks were the reason
_Many good kisses and sweet intimate scenes.

Aerospace! Online game! Celebrity!

Honestly.. i really didn't want to watch this drama. Because i am still into genre of a certain country and i thinking i am not ready yet to watch again this genre. But WeTv kept on recommending me to watch this drama in very advertisement of every shows that i was watching!!! (Guess the trick was really paid off. 😆) And i was like why not try maybe this is good and when i saw the trailer of this drama i was like "yeah! I am gonna watch it." It is because of the two reasons first I REALLY LOVE SCIENCE, ESPECIALLY THE AEROSPACE! it is my first time to watch a certain drama with this kind of genre and the second one was it has also an online game story in it I WAS REALLY RELATED TO THAT PART OF THE STORY! (Everytime i watch it i was like thinking that was me with my crush 😆) now i am loving it not just the story but as well as the couple Yangyang and Dilbara! They act as a couple in a natural way. Their chemistry is so great! I can feel the emotions that they were experiencing in every episodes. Hope they will have a drama again as a couple. The story is unique. I love the way they show how a man encounters a certain situations emotionally the kind of certainty on themselves and how to overcome them and a how a woman will encourage and help her partner through ups and downs. The music was so lovely. It really matches the genre of the story can't get tried it to listen to it in every episodes. Full of sadness yet calming at the same time. It is my first time to watch a chinese drama and i am not really disappointed watching this. Highly recommended to watch this drama! And to rewatch it all over again!

A picturesque drama with a lot of romance

I usually don't write reviews but this drama exceeded my expectations and it's very nice and beautiful.
Initial episodes are rather slow but it picks up very fast and carry the story furthur.The game graphics are nice .
The chemistry of dilraba and yang is best of the best. Dilraba never cease to impress me with the acting and yang yang is equally best in performance. There is a good dose of romance and kisses and you will want more and more.
The side characters are nice and support the storyline nicely. I personally like yang's friend and dilraba assistant and pei pei.
One nice thing is that there is no unnecessary Love triangles and story is not stretched unnecessarily.
Ost is a treat for ears . Overall I loved this drama and I would definitely watch it again . Please watch it I recommend it strongly.

So far the best romantic cdrama i’ve ever watched

So i rarely watched cdrama. The last cdrama i watched are the return of the condor heroes (1983), legend of madame white snake 1992, and meteor garden (2001 ; which for me it’s just okay). Then suddenly in early 2022 my closed cousin recommended this cdrama. And i really loved it! Why? Because it’s a mature romance story. And both FL and ML are equally strong. And i really love that the ML is the one struggilng at first due to his personal family problems and uncertainty on chasing his dream.

The game arc is only until eps 12 (i think, i forgot). And it’s still interesting. Even my partner that’s not a gamer (still he was confused by the gameplay and asked me some things that he didn’t understand about the game) still enjoy the gamearc and the climax from the casual competition is so satisfying. And i enjoyed about the aerospace drama, it’s not taking too long, and it’s a must to understand the ML better and the characters development for him and his colleagues. And what i love, eventhough the ML is super smart, most of the aerospace’s conflict / trouble was solved by team effort, not necessarily showing off the ML.

As for the FL, it’s not annoying, it’s not a stalker (like go go squid), fun, equally beautiful, and also have a strong carrer (as a celebrity).

So. Due to it’s mature story, not the typical ML that is overconfident, equally strong FL and ML, fun and mature FL, good characters development, filler that is necessary to see the struglleness of both carrer (and i think it’s not that long. It’s the right amount of screen time), the chemistry, good writing, good CG to execute the game arc and aerospace’s conflict scenes. I’d say this is highly recommended.

Because you are my glory, i browsed and searched for other good cdramas (reset and the first 10 episodes of go ahead so far are my favorites). I dropped the first 10 mins of go go squid because i’m nauseous to see the FL stalking a handsome guy walking into her cyber cafe. And dropped and can’t finish eps 1 of love 020 because i didn’t get the feel, and read from other reviewers that these 2 cdrama supposedly have a really smart FL but somehow didn’t show it and looks pathetic and the ML is the typical “overthetop/cold” type. Is there any other good romantic cdramas that just like what i just described why i loved you are my glory?

You Are My Glory:

Plot:
This was a good for the heart series. The plot was simple and not complicated. The best thing about it was that this one is a page turner I mean you get hooked by it. Each episode was a feast to the eyes and this one will wake you up all night just to wait for the next episode.

Characters:
What I like about the Main character is that they are simple yet give you a good character impact. FL is not your cry baby type of girl she has her own grip on what she wants and what she needs to do. The ML was a little odd ball but he was able to come out of his comfort zone and gain a huge support from FL. Both main stay on what they good at and support each others dreams.
I was glad that there where no toxic people to disturb them ^_^

Conclusion:
I therefore say that this drama/series is a very very good! I highly recommend for you to watch it if you have a vacant time or you want to chill!! <3<3<3

My favorite drama

My favorite all time chinese drama ! Rewatching again and again ! FL- excellent !!! I like this drama because it's realistic- script written really good, cast were chosed the right one. Of course - always you can wish something better ( a little bit to much Yu Tu ,, pokerface'' , but just a little bit ). One thing about I was sad- I must read eng sub ( I don't understand Chinese language ). Original is always better then any ( even the best ) translation. But that's is my problem . The support roles and quest roles are really good too- as i told allready- cast choosen the right one

Why should you watch this? Satisfaction!

This is maybe one of the best drama I've watched 'till now.

The story is so refreshing. And not once did I feel out of the track, not even for a moment did it lose its charm. Not even for a moment I felt it was boring. It was simply realistically beautiful. It made me happy, 30 minutes of each episodes I was the happiest person in this worldヾ(≧▽≦*)o

The cast- I believe I don't have to say much about them, cuz everyone already knows. Yang yang has always been my favorite, he is just like how his name says a cute sheep~ Dilraba is one of the greatest Chinese actresses I've ever seen. And their chemistry is just too wholesome, it felt so real that I got embarrassed by sweet scenes. They acted very well o((>ω< ))o

I really loved the visuals especially game scenes, animators did a good job there. The whole setting of the drama is visually calming they did not go over the top.

Music caught my heart, I've heard each of them more than 50 times already!! ♪(´▽｀)

I am definitely re-watching this!! This is gonna be another one like Love 020 for me. Yang Yang is great with both actresses, I don't know whom to choose as my number 1ㄟ(≧◇≦)ㄏ
