I'm An Emotional Wreck :,)

I don't know if I can even write a proper review right now. I spent a lot of the movie sobbing (note: but I also cry easily) so if you're looking for a light movie, this is not it. I describe why I rated certain categories the way I did in the next 2 paragraphs, but if you want to read me gushing over this movie, skip to the last paragraph.

In terms of the acting: I don't know anything about acting, but considering how much of a mess I am right now, I'd say the cast did an incredible job. The main characters were absolutely charming, and I couldn't help but sympathize with them and fall into their storylines. I also never felt like anything was cringy, overacted, or underacted, which I sometimes feel with korean movies.

I watched the movie without english subs, and I'm not fluent in korean, so I took a point off for plot just because I can't be a proper judge of it. But don't get me wrong: what I did understand was excellent. The storyline was cohesive and immersive, I didn't find any gaping plot holes, and I thought everything worked together beautifully. The music tied in seamlessly with the movie, so I can't say if it was particularly good or bad, but there was one song that a character sung that, if you know the lyrics, fits perfectly in the scene. The only reason the rewatch value is low is because I don't know how I'd be able to compose myself enough to watch this movie again.

tldr: I HIGHLY recommend you watch this movie. Highly, highly, highly. It was beautifully shot, beautifully acted, and beautifully composed. I don't know how to properly express my love for this movie without giving spoilers, but I really, really hope that you watch this.

Really Great movie to watch

I really enjoyed this movie and i was waiting so long for the Subs to come out which it finally did. I am so glad i waited because i loved the movie, it was really sad yet so beautiful. I love how the the children were able to become such good friends despite the massive differences in their lives. I was however quite confused by how forgetful the mother was, but maybe it was a way to show how she was losing hope.
Everything about this movie was so good, especially the ending, i highly recommend it.

A movie for those who miss someone.

A mom and her young teen daughter looses the dad of the family in death. The whole world of the young teen girl is changed, new town, new school, new people. One boy at her new school seems to annoy her. He is free to cut up, be a slacker. He has no clue why she is shy and very reserved. He learns to be patient with her. He wants to be patient with her.
For those who miss someone or need a little push to cry, try this movie and know that people are willing to help, even if they really don’t know how. Please Don’t Save Me is a simple story that is built upon a Mom and her daughter and a boy who learns to give of himself.
