Love gays in crime so much
At first I thought it would be highly dramatic because it starts with the whole twin drama but actually the story and the acting surprised me. It's pretty well executed and written: nothing better than a good twin switch envolving justice and illegal actions with a great romance in it. Really, Off and Gun have a crazy connection going on, not to mention they're acting skills that are so good I almost cried many times watching this 'cause it's so dangerous what they go through. It's impossible not to get envolved with all the characters and I love the secondary couple since all the actors and actresses do an amazing job. There are things that got me thinking like how does it not cross they're minds that Black might not be himself? I mean I would've at least thought that he lost his memory or something, but there would be no way he just "changed" like they said. That was just a detail and it can be ignored because the drama is crazy and even beautiful.Was this review helpful to you?

THIS DRAMA WAS SO POWERFUL
GMMTV has produced a drama that has created an almost impossible standard for other dramas.Firstly the acting in this drama was superb.....especially Gun. Being able to portray a set of twin brothers so differently is not an easy task but he did it in a way that seemed easy. Both Off and Gun are both usually acting in softer...lighter dramas so taking on the roles of Black/White and Sean was a test on their acting skills and they definitely passed with flying colors.The supportimg cast also did their jobs exceptionally well and made the entire watch time a treat.
The plot...though the synopsis talks about White trying to unmask who hurt his brother the main plot of this drama was the gang members trying to expose the dirty tricks of an influential businessman and expose the corrupt system in Thailand. This was an extremely sensitive topic to take on especially with the backlash both the director and actors could face but they did take on that challenge and they executed it perfectly...this particular plot point was also able to relate to almost all viewers because most countries are similar in the sense that persons with power and influence usually get the last laugh.
This drama was also able to bring out all the emotions a human can have....happiness.... sadness...anger.....grief.....jealousy (because of that cute ass couple)...and so much more....in one episode I cried...laughed...felt anger...and pure disbelief.
The editing......OH MY GOD THE EDITING...this drama's editing team did its job so well... especially when both Black and White (Gun's characters) had to appear on screen together....I genuinely began questioning if Gun had a secret twin brother we didn't know about.
The cinematography of this drama was emmaculate as well. The fact that they actually had a scene with the two main characters under a pride flag screaming about equality... chef's kiss.
I also appreciated the fact that skin smoothing wasn't used in this drama. You were able to see the character's "flaws".... like their pores and acne and it showed them not in a unnaturally perfect way that's impossible to achieve but in a natural perfection thay we were truly able to appreciate.
Finally the pacing of this drama was also really well done...I didn't feel as if the drama slowed down or rushed itself at anytime....it felt like everything that happened was happening at the exact right time. The reveals....the shocks....the twist and turns...the realtionships.....the kisses everything felt realistic as if I were a fly on the wall in these character's lives.
I recommend this drama to any drama lover out there....wether your interested in OffGun....BL...Action...Suspense or just anything from Thailand. This drama is perfect for any drama watcher.
All in all if I could give this drama 100000000000/10 I would.

This was a masterpiece!!
I'm heartbroken that this series had to end. It was an amazing ride. You definitely have to watch this one. Even if you've already watched it I'm pretty sure you'll agree that Not me is on of those series that you'll never get bored and you'll watch it again and again. For those who haven't watched it yet I'm telling you: go do it now. First of all, the plot is amazing. It deals with real life issues and is not about a university or engineering like we've seen so far. This plot will make you think and be a part of everything. The actors we all knew already that are amazing but the acting here is on another level. I am a huge fan of all them and maybe a little biased but especially in this series the relationship of Gun and Off and their chemistry was amazing. "NOT ME" A SERIES THAT LEFT A MARK
As we are about to enter 2026, I decided to bring to light more reviews of series I’ve watched over the past five years. And of course, Not Me is one of those series that left a powerful mark on the industry. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or simply hasn’t watched it.Because Not Me is not just a BL series, it is much more than that. Beyond being one of GMMTV’s strongest productions, it brings complex and deeply relevant themes to the forefront. It doesn’t focus solely on romantic relationships. Instead, it presents a fight for justice, a fight against corruption, a fight for LGBTQ+ rights, deep family bonds, and a dangerous, transformative love.
All of this is woven into a Boys’ Love series led by the well-known actors Off and Gun in the main roles, alongside an exceptional supporting cast. Whether we’re talking about First, Mond, Fluke, Papang, Sing Harit, Film, Lookjun, Filmshy, Pae, or Bosszo, every single one of them delivered an incredible performance. It is one of the few series where I can honestly say the cast was perfectly chosen.
From the very first episode, Not Me pleasantly surprised me. It’s the kind of series that pulls you in before you even realize it. The story begins with a difficult and controversial choice: two parents decide to raise their twin sons separately a decision that breaks a natural bond, yet opens the door to a profound story about identity, loyalty, and courage.
White, raised under the strict control of his politician father, is disciplined and reserved. Black, on the other hand, grew up free, rebellious, and deeply involved in the fight against corruption. Black is strong-willed, convinced he can change the world alongside his friends, and willing to take any risk for a fairer society. Still, White remains his weakness, the brother he would do anything for, even risk his own life.
Despite their differences, the twins are bound by an unconditional and sincere brotherly love. They are willing to sacrifice everything for each other, even though they didn’t grow up together. White is not weak, he is a complex character who takes real risks to uncover the truth behind Black’s assault. In Black’s absence, White assumes his identity and steps into a dangerous world dominated by injustice and social struggle.
If you’ve ever felt that characters in other dramas fail to tell a convincing story, that is not the case with Not Me. Every character here has a motivation, a trauma, or a mission that contributes meaningfully to the narrative.
Sean, perhaps the quietest yet most intense of them all, is deeply marked by his father’s death — a man who worked for the powerful and corrupt Tawi. He struggles with anger, revenge, and the need for justice.
Yok lives with a disabled mother who cannot find work because of a corrupt and indifferent system. His story stands as one of the most honest social critiques in the series.
Gram may not carry a personal trauma, but he understands the importance of equality and justice. He is the voice of reason and social conscience.
Gumpa, a former political activist, acts as the group’s mentor. He brings them together, guides them, and gives them direction. Despite his age, he remains active and deeply committed to change.
Dan, a police officer and apparent idealist, faces an internal conflict between his professional oath and his loyalty to the group. Under pressure from the system, he ultimately betrays them — a choice that both humanizes and condemns him.
Tod is an ambiguous yet crucial character. A childhood friend of White and Black, he may have started with good intentions but was corrupted by the system. His relationship with Black is deeply emotional, making his betrayal even more painful.
Tawi, the authoritarian and corrupt figure, stands as the series’ main antagonist — a symbol of a broken society.
Unlike many BL series where female characters are often decorative or built on predictable tropes, Not Me offers a much stronger and more realistic representation of women through Eugene, Namo, and Nuch. Each of them plays an essential role, proving that the women in this story are not background figures, but fully realized characters who strengthen the narrative and the world of Not Me.
One of the series’ greatest strengths is the love story between White and Sean. It is not built on clichés, but develops gradually through suspicion, fear, painful truths, and moments of vulnerability. Sean is hardened and emotionally guarded, carrying a heavy past. White comes from a world of rules but finds freedom in Sean’s presence. Their relationship grows naturally, sincerely, and emotionally. The forest kiss remains one of the most intense moments of the series — not just romantic, but deeply human.
Gun Atthaphan is undoubtedly the pillar of this series. His dual performance as White and Black is remarkably subtle. He created two completely different brothers, not just through appearance or attitude, but through the smallest gestures, tones, and expressions. It’s a performance that transcends the BL genre and raises the acting standard within the industry.
Off Jumpol, as Sean, delivers one of his strongest performances to date. Sean is quiet, hardened, with a simmering anger that doesn’t need dramatic lines to be felt. Every hesitation, look, and movement conveys pain and loyalty. His relationship with White humanizes him and reveals vulnerability a balance Off portrays with maturity and authenticity.
Not Me is deeply rooted in Thailand’s social and political realities, reflecting recent movements for democracy and equality. Episode 7 perfectly captures this commitment, featuring a protest scene inspired by real-life demonstrations for marriage equality and LGBTQ+ rights. The moment when White and Sean march beneath a massive rainbow flag is a powerful symbol: love, dignity, and courage cannot be silenced.
Looking back, Not Me is not just a series with a gripping plot or a piece of entertainment. It is a voice. A voice that dares to speak about inequality, corruption, justice, love, and identity. It transforms the story of two separated brothers into a metaphor for our inner and social divisions and our attempts to heal them.
The ending is a happy one(book has a different ending), marking the triumph of good over evil. Everyone dear survives and finds safety. Yet for me, there remains a deep emptiness caused by Black’s absence. Until the very end, Black protected his brother and the group unconditionally, and although he was forced to disappear, he left behind hope and unwavering trust in White’s strength to continue the fight
What remains after the final episode?
The image of a generation unafraid to fight. The unbreakable bond between brothers. The love between White and Sean, built step by step. And the courage to say things that are usually left unspoken.
Not Me is proof that stories that truly matter are the ones that dare to go further.

10/10 A STAND OUT lgbt drama with solid social commentary
(spoiler free untill u see the warning at the end) this is my first thai drama and first lgbt asian drama (or bl). i speak as someone who is lgbt and has now watched other lgbt, bl, and thai dramas.REVIEW 10/10:
i loved this show so much. i really appreciated the social commentary, the activism, and the values of anti capitalism. as well as recognizing corruption in the system. the queer and political portrayals here are braver and more sincere than most western (and non bl) media i’ve experienced. from my understanding this is not very high budget but that’s mostly unnoticeable imo.
STORY 9.5: genuinely just love it,,, this is very unique in its genere imo because it feels like the story is first and the romance is just a natural part of it. the plot is not just there to serve the ships. not much to critique story wise. i would absolutely die for a season 2 to see the aftermath (see end of review). but i think the pacing was pretty solid, and the character and relationship development is pretty perfect.
ACTING/CAST 9.5: starting this out by saying Gun was the stand out performance here. absolutely served playing these two roles. offgun delivered a sweet and compelling chemistry to this project. everyones acting was quite strong in this. even the smaller roles like Eugene and Namo.

ok so i did like the ending but i do feel it could have used an extra episode or 2. danyok got back together WAY too fast imo. i know why dan did what he did but he never even explains his reasoning before yok takes him back. i also wish we could’ve learend a big more about tod and blacks relationship? i think a season 2 focusing on the repercussions and court process would be amazing. this show has so much potential left and i hope gmmtv takes advantage of it.

Arguably the best BL to date?
I really enjoy the change from typical highschool/university BLs to a more realistic and heavy genre. Not Me touches on the hardships that may be faced by many people such as corruption, economic discrimination and sexual orientation discrimination. The acting is immaculate and to be honest, alot better to what I am used to when watching thai dramas. The small details within Not Me are really what ties this whole show together.*Not only the chemistry between Gun/White was addictive to watch but I enjoyed the chemistry between Dan/Yok as well, although I did not care too much for the others. Gun's acting of the opposing personalities of Black and White was so unbelievably good and very convincing.
*I loved the slow progression of enemies to friends and confusion to lovers and how loyal the characters were towards each-other (well mostly...) but were able to experience many heartwarming moments afterwards.
*[SPOILER] Although a straight, cis person, I was hit deeply when White and Sean walked hand in hand underneath the pride flag and cried so much, it was simply so beautiful and a wonderful representation of the meaning of pride of your sexuality. A very memorable moment along with the trust fall and the braveness jump.
*I am desperately waiting for myself to slowly forget fragments of what happened in this drama so I can watch it again in which I can see myself doing many times.
Although I cruised through this drama in the first few episodes due to a busy schedule, I binge watched this show til extremely early hours of the morning when I had time. I have not watched a drama in so long that has left such a heavy impact in which I find myself thinking about nearly each day. I can't wait for more dramas with similar scenarios which are currently being aired or have already been released in which I am yet to watch, or any in the future, along with more Off/Gun to look forward to.

A group of social reformers but comes in gay
Before I say anything about the series I want to acknowledge their makeup team. That might be weird but it'll be a crime not to. Their whole makeup team did an amazing job on the whole cast. You can even see their pores and bumps and acnes which is not a common thing to see in Thai dramas even east Asians dramas in general which eventually made everything look way more realistic. Kudos to the whole team.Then I'll come to the music. (I know I'm weird but it needs to be addressed) Every single song, music, tune they used for so perfectly to every single scene. The oyeoyeoye tune is still ringing in my ears. Again a 10 on 10 performance.
Then comes CHEMISTRYYYYY. OffGun have always had a great chemistry but in not me they outdid themselves. There wasn't a single awkward moment between them. Even between the second couple. It just happened so naturally. I hate to compare things but for sure it made me feel like watching western tv shows. No awkwardness and all. The straight couples were kinda off though. Black/Eugene and Gram/Eugene but I think it was tolerable somewhat. Usually it's opposite. The direction was so smooth that it made me feel I'm watching them in front of me.
The story was something new for a BL drama. Not an unique plot obviously but not "not enjoyable" as well. Who doesn't enjoy evil rich exploiters getting smashed. Overall it's 10 on 10.

Not Me deserves its praise.
I waited a long time to watch this show when it first started airing, after watching the trailer etc it didn’t seem like a show I would be as invested in as I became. Everyone was blasting about how amazing it was and I completely caved shortly after episode 10 aired, and well…I was hooked after that!As someone who is apart of the LGBTQ+ community and went through the struggle of dealing with gay marriage not being legal in my own country, I felt like the sentiment and conversation about that topic was realistic and held at a high standard. Finding a show that talks realistically about those topics is rare and refreshing. Not only was the depiction of the fight for LGBTQ+ rights realistic but the actual queer relationships shown were realistic. While I understand why this show is under the BL umbrella, it almost just falls under an LGBTQ+ label, and I find those to almost be separate genres. The lack of tropes and added realism really made me invested in the relationships between all the characters, and none of the drama felt unnecessary.
The acting in this show was phenomenal, while I’ve always loved Guns acting, his abilities really showed. When he was playing each twin, you could easily tell who he was, both twins were distinctly different. Major props to him for the fantastic performance. The rest of the cast really out did themselves, and those who I have seen be okay-ish in other series really gave their all in this one and it really shows. Props to everyone, genuinely.
My only issue with this series is how rushed the ending was, because it really felt like we were bolting to the finish line. After such a wonderfully paced show, the very last episode felt very fast paced and sorta like a scramble to tie up everything. In everyone’s defense, they had a TON of loose endings to tie up, but I wish we got to see more of the tie ups if that makes sense? I feel like maybe even making the last episode 15 minutes longer would have helped. Regardless, the ending was alright and I’m happy with it, just felt rushed and it threw off the pacing of the show.
Overall, Not Me has become one of my favorite shows of all time. From the soundtrack I can’t stop listening to, to the visuals and story I can’t stop thinking about, it will be a show I constantly revisit and enjoy.

The characters in Not Me are extremely layered and emotionally complex. Black and White are especially fascinating because they represent two different identities within the same person. Black is more intense, driven, and emotionally charged, while White is more calm, thoughtful, and idealistic. What makes this duality so interesting is how both versions influence the story differently, especially in terms of morality, identity, and emotional response.Sean is another deeply important character because he appears strong and distant at first, but gradually reveals a lot of emotional depth. His loyalty and emotional intensity become more visible as the story progresses, especially in how he connects with others on a personal level. He is not just a “supporting character” - he carries his own emotional weight and personal struggles.
The supporting characters also add depth because each of them represents different perspectives on justice, survival, and resistance. No one feels one-dimensional, and everyone has their own emotional motivations behind their actions.
Overall, the characters in Not Me feel like they are constantly shaped by both personal identity and the world around them.

A Gritty, Thought-Provoking Series with Strong Characters and Social Relevance
This series tells the story of Black and White, twin brothers who were separated after their parents' divorce. After fifteen years, White returns to Thailand and learns that Black is in a coma due to a violent attack. White takes over Black's life to uncover the traitor responsible for the attack, discovering his brother's involvement in a gang and a life he never knew about. The storyline is unique and captivating, even though the identity of the traitor was predictable early on.The production is notably strong, with sets that enhance the gritty, raw atmosphere of the story. Unlike other polished series, this one makes good use of locations like garages, warehouses, and university streets to create a more grounded and realistic feel. The series also has a mature aesthetic, which fits well with its serious themes of justice, law, and LGBTQ+ rights, resonating not only in Thailand but worldwide.
The series explores important social issues, such as the influence of the rich and the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, while presenting relationships with respect and consent, a welcome change from toxic tropes in many shows. The characters, including strong women and the transgender woman Nuch, are well-developed and avoid the usual clichés, making them feel more authentic and empowering. The protagonists' desire to improve their country and society adds depth to their character arcs.
While the execution is smooth, there are a few moments that feel like filler, and the absence of the parents in the story feels a bit odd. Probably one of best series from the new BL generation.
First of all, I want to say the fact that I've been a big fan of OffGun for a year, the same time I've been waiting for this series since I watched the pilot trailer. And although I was highly waiting for this because it was a new series of OffGun, I must admit the theme into the pilot left me seriously hooked. I still have one quote engraved in my brain: "Iron Man and Thanos are both violent. What's the difference between a hero and a villain?". I saw this was one chance for BL to explore new genres, new perspectives. So in the end, I waited for it because of the intrigue of how they will reconsider who's the hero and the villain in the plot.Now, let's get into subject.
Story: as I said, I was waiting for a gang of young people who were against the system as rebellion. However, the plot was developed in a deeper path, connecting all the characters that fight for a reason which affects their lives. It's not as simple as just saying "I don't want to follow the rules", but a view of "they screwed the people I love and me myself, I won't allow them to go unpunished". Once the characters start to move to the same aim even if they don't get along, when rage and powerlessness invade them sometimes, the question if they're also doing the right thing arises thanks to the intervention of White disguised as Black, who gives them a different perspective to confront Tawi, especially Sean, what slowly introduces the romance part as just a side-theme which affects the main plot, but not letting it control it. Besides, I want to add that in every episode there are claims they do regarding many issues that not only involves politics, but also social as disable people, LGBTQ+ comm fight, manipulation inside the political system. As last, I want to highlight that every kiss/love scene is strictly justified as it develops the main plot with a cause-effect and not to add sexualized scenes and gain fame. Those scenes are produced in a very aesthetic way, reaching the art level thanks to the illumination, colours, bgm, camera angles, costumes, location. There's still five episodes to watch, but until now it's been flawless.
Acting/cast: I have no words to describe how speechless I am left in every episode, if not in every part of each episode. It's not just the fact the plot surrounds really delicate issues which may affect you in your RL too, but the way each actor and actress portrayed the characters. Gun has again proved me he's probably one of the best actors in the industry, but finally Off could show off his amazing potential as actor. Fluke and First were a surprise indeed, both act deeply natural, letting their feelings lead the way in each scene. I don't want to forget any cast in here as everyone is so on point in their acting, not forced or unrealistic. And I must thank the screenwriters and director for this. P'Nuchy is so strict in her work, but doesn't refuse to try new ways, allowing the actors explore fully. There was a quote in the recent bts where she said "if I see they can't follow the script after a few takes because they don't know how to convey it, I let them improvise as long as I may be the one wrong". I applaud that way of work because thanks to it, many of the most beautiful scenes have great part of improvisation grown up inside of each actor. It's a team work that helps everyone to improve together.
Music: what to say about the music. It's perfect. So on point in each scene, not just added to fill the silence, but to convey the feeling completely. A new taste in songs that are rare to be heard in BL. With or without lyrics, it's impressive how the songs were chosen and not created for the series (aside of the main OST and My Side), because they fit 100% .
Rewatch value: I think this point is really important because sometimes the scenes are so overwhelming (or at least I felt so) that I needed to rewatch to see small details or connotations that the first time you may miss as you're extremely focused on the feeling. This is not a bad point, moreover, it shows how it absorbs you into its world.
The overall rate is obviously 10/10 because I can't see any major flaw. It's a series that must be enjoyed from a very subjective view so you will understand each feeling and reason behind their actions. However, at the same time, that's what makes it so immersive, deep and charismatic. No series are alike. No characters are alike. No plot is alike. It's a one-time experience. And I hope it will keep as such until the end.

No Other Show Like It
It's hard to articulate what makes this a masterpiece from start to finish. Casting was near perfection, production was some of the highest quality and the chemistry of every couple was beyond expectations. This is in my top 5 BL and as a general show, it stands to be very high on my list after the final episode. It would be a fantastic re watch and the social commentary was welcomed each episode. I loved the fight scenes, action and drama throughout. I watched this show from episode one and I can honestly say I loved doing it that way. Watching the finale brought all kinds of emotions and tears, which I almost never cry in a BL. I might be on my own, but somebody please give me a spin off of my boys Tod and Black. That was one of the most untapped parts of the show, my imagination ran wild every time the two of them were in a scene together. I'll keep this short, as if you've seen the ratings for this show, then you know well and good what you need to do!Was this review helpful to you?
