It's different and I liked it.

This story is different than the other typical bls I'm so used to seeing. This series was great, from the storyline, to the acting, to the soundtrack. It had me on the edge of my seat every weekend, and then left me not-so-patiently waiting for the next episode. Despite my love for the series, I didn't feel fully satisfied by the end, there were some things in the ending that I feel were looked over a bit. I don't want to say it felt rushed because it seem to mostly any questions I may have had. Despite that. I feel that the positives of this drama outweigh the unsatisfied feeling I may have had towards the ending. This series truly is a must watch. I'd definitely recommend !

For those in need of hope and inspiration

I started watching this series back when only 8 episodes were out. I did it frivolously, because I was sure that I'd end up getting bored and dropping it after the first 2 episodes, as it usually happens to me. What a mistake.

It got me hooked and obsessed. I started living for the sundays, as it was the most awaited day of the week for me, because a new episode was comming out. I was constantly oscilating between the regret and, the excitement of getting into an ongoing, because this series was like a drug to me and I was unable to get myself together and clear my thoughts for several days after an episode would come out.

However, at the same time, I don't remember having this much fun being involved in the discussions regarding the beauty and the plot of a series since GOT. And even then, I was only reading theories, not actively participating.

Anyway, this was an amazing experience. It's absolutely obvious that this project is a product of love. You can feel that it's special from the very first moments. The music, the visuals, the plot, the characters, the ideas - "Not me" gave me so much in this moment in my life when I really needed to feel a bit of hope and inspiration.

Considering the difficulties that they've encountered while creating the "Not me" series, I think they've done an outstanding job.

So, to everyone involved in this process and to everyone who promoted this series and contributed to me finding it, Thank you.

It's actually one of my best thai series experience it it's not the best till now
it's a very good genre and new for me to watch in thai drama and I'm eagerly waiting for more like it
It was so real for me every thing was so real that i felt that those actors could do that for real (thanks for all the hard work they put in it)
And ofc the big bang of that series beside it's good story and good acting is the main couple 'offgun' my favourite could out there
An how the have that great chemistry and sweet love that i want to re watch it even tho i just finished it two days ago
Also the background music was another thing it was so beautiful and suitable for the scenes
And i won't forget about the plot twists and the thrilling i felt all along the series

SOOO GOOD!!

This is the first Thai BL that I've watched all the way through and I absolutely adored it! Offgun's chemistry is truly off the charts so I get the hype around them! I thought the story was very interesting as well, especially with the element of twins. I also really liked the side couples. Yok stole the show at time for me! He was such a loveable character and by the end I was crying and hoping he was happy forever. It was fun to watch the relationships develop and blossom as well. It felt like a perfect pace, not too slow that I get bored but also not too fast it feels unrealistic. Overall, very strongly loved this one!

I was entertained in the beginning qith an anticlimactic ending

It took me three days to binge watch this series. And I am glad I choose to wait until the series ended to watch it all in one go.

Story-8.5/10
I actually loved seeing the history of Thailand's law cause I found it knowledgeable and informative. It was nice seeing a storyline that wasn't like the BL's that I am used to. And due to this reason, I can say that this series did indeed start off strong.

However, like most BL's out there, there were flaws that I just couldn't ignore. Some parts of the series just weren't that beliveable to me. And also, some parts weren't developed properly to give the series a satisfying ending. I would like to add that with the strong beginning it had, it ended a bit anticlimactic. I mean, yeah, Black kind of got his revenge and the guys were able to start a wave of the justice that they were fighting for. But still...

P.S- I am in love with the secondary couple Ok and Dan, although my heart broke in the second to last episode for them.

Acting/Cast-9.5/10
I'm going with 9.5 out of 10. Cause while I liked the majority of the actors, I felt that some of the supporting actors really didn't add anything to the story (looking at the parents as well as Todd, who was underdeveloped here).

Music-9.5/10
I was originally going to give an 8. But as the series progressed and new songs were introduced, I fell more in love with them. As such, I'm going with a 9.5.

Rewatch-9/10
It was actually a good series qith a unique storyline that I haven't really seen in BL. Because of that, I really don't mind rewatching it again.

Anybody else cry when it ended? Not me.

I lied. Very much me. I was not ready to say goodbye.

I don't watch a lot of BL. In fact, my first BL was 2gethertheseries which aired in 2020. I know nothing of the ones that came before but I have been on the internet a long time to know that a lot of queer Asian media is like so my expectations are always low.

But it turns out it was high-time I revise my opinion because Not Me genuinely blew me away. I have seen BLs that are progressive in their own way (Bad Buddy and Lovely Writer) but Not Me has to be the first one where they discussed social issues, lgbtq representation, corruption and the like in a plotline that was neither too complex or too simple to follow. The plot started off as ridiculous, two twins with a telepathic connection being afflicted with each other's pain and I was down with that, because who doesn't love a touch of ridiculousness in their queer media? But Not Me was like, hold my drink, I'm about to rock this old coot's entire world.

I soon found myself embroiled in a world of intrigue as Todd summons White to investigate the case of his twin Black, who's suspected of being involved in shady shit and is now in a coma thanks to it. He points White towards Black's 'gang' with the suggestion they might be the cause for him lying blackened and bruised and comatose in a hospital. From there, White (and I) are taken on a journey. Identity porn is ya girl's jam, so she knew she was in for a good time.

No character in Not Me is forgettable or cast to the side. Everyone is important, everyone plays their role well. I feel that if I were familiar with Thai culture and issues more I would be able to catch the nuances of the issues better but even then I could find myself relating. Because regardless of where you are, social injustice and inequality are something we (or our loved ones and the people around us) have all faced in some ways. As youth, we are especially frustrated by the way things are because we're more socially aware than the generations before us and these issues do impact us, whether directly or indirectly. We want to change the way things are, but there are factors in play that make it harder to do so. Dan's betrayal drove this point home beautifully, even if it was painful to watch. That there are people who want to do the right thing, and stand up against justice, but are unable to do so.

Furthermore, the addition of Gumpa, the older brother figure who's herding this band of well-intentioned fighters, proves that this fight has been going on for a long time. The way the show ends shows that it will continue and that it will be picked up by the people that come after us.

But there will also be people who will be against that, content to keep that world order. If they're not actively fighting against it, they're contributing to it by being complacent. Some of them don't understand it, deem it unnecessary or view people like Black's gang as miscreants or those looking for trouble. Attitudes that were reflected well by Methinee, Adul and Yok's mother. I appreciate how the Director kept the show rooted in reality. Even if it feels like the world is going to shit, there are still people out there who will try to make it less so and that humanity isn't so bad. That scene when the protestors who uplifted their fight and saved the boys from meeting their terrifying demise is just. No words, this Asian was too stunned to speak.

The portrayal of queer relationships and their development was another thing that struck a chord with me. The way the entire gang navigated their relationships, it reminds you that even though these are rebels who've chosen to become part of a resistance, it doesn't change the fact that they are still kids. That they are individuals who like us, want connections and room to explore their identities. Sean and White, Eugene, Black and Gram, Yok and Dan, Namo and Sean. Every relationship showed us something different but drove home a point: that queer relationships are just as valid as non-queer ones and there is no need to make it weird. Every character develops and in turn, brings about changes in their relationship and the whole thing was immensely satisfying to watch. I especially appreciated how Eugene and Namo were handled. Often BLs tend to treat their female characters badly, them existing in the show only to further the development of the M/M ship. But that wasn't the case here, oh no. My girls got their heart broke, dealt with it and emerged stronger than before.

I do wish Gram and Nuch had been a thing, but their dynamic was amazing the way it was too.

(I personally think Black is in a polycule with Eugene and Gram and no I will not explain myself.)

The cinematography, the music, the characters, the lessons this show taught, everything will remain with me for a long time. Gun Atthaphan blew me away with his portrayal of the twins. 11/10 will recommend.

DEFINITELY NO SPOILERS

After the trailer was released I was kept on the edge of my seat for two whole weeks waiting for the series and much unexpectedly when it came I had very high hopes which in deed weren't let down you must check it out if you haven't.

I have just watched the series and I am very much impressed by the rather powerful start because they don't linger around the past story too much and yet I can entirely understand the whole series as the background is brief and precise you don't feel anything lacking in it.

I was excited when I saw the poster and moreso the cast list which was full of Handsome and cute actors, some of my favourite by the way, along with their characters in the series which are easy to tell from the start, you feel from the first episode that this series is very original and not cliche while it's like a gang romance so you'll definitely be dying to watch it while if defining the chemistry between all actors and their roles, they seem to understand how best to play their parts as I found the first episode flawless from the beginning to the end.

The plot in addition was very remarkable along with the graphics and the scenes, what I really have admired so much about the series is the in depth feeling of emotions being well portrayed that is anger, sadness, curiosity as I got totally immersed in the show it almost felt so real. Besides another much deeper analysis is that the mystery leaves you with so many questions which I like because it makes the scenes much more unpredictable as you are always driven from one extreme to another when you least expect which puts so many suspects in question and at times I can't easily tell whom to trust or who the protagonist and antagonist is towards the innocent White.

The two characters that are played by Atthaphan Phunsawat are very captivating in their own way and the somewhat unspoken innocence of Jumpol Adulkittiporn makes it a to die for series after their success as a couple in THEORY OF LOVE, PUPPY HONEY, I'M TEE ME TOO made it seem worthwhile for me to watch and the chemistry wasn't disappointing at all as one way I promise you start almost soon enough to feel a cute romance that is between them even by them just looking at each other there's a total rush of readable emotions on their faces and romantic heartbeats.

All in all, the drama was well executed as a whole with those remarkable fighting scenes which for a Thai series were above the charts that I wasn't as well disappointed and If you are a bl fan this is going to be one of the best gang bl romance series you have ever watched whose story is easy to understand, the plot unpredictable, the characters very intimate and the Bromance very sincere starting off as a feeling of mixed emotions it doesn't feel too rushed.

Hey that’s my button!

Very, very good. If you're debating watching, don't even read my review, just go watch it.

This story is incredibly captivating! Honestly, I’m not sure I need to write a review on this one because there are so many already but I do have a few thoughts on some things that I am a little confused about. None of these are drama-ruining, just thoughts.

1. White's Dad. What happened to that dude? White was like "I'm out!" and his Dad was just like, "Yeah okay *shrug* Have a nice life without me.” We literally never heard anything about him after White left. I guess both parents are just really uninterested in being parents.

2. I don't fully understand who took the picture of the van and how there came to be a full-on protest that intercepted the van...

3. Todd - Why so wishy-washy? Are we trying to kill Black or nah? Why did Todd let Black go after almost drowning him when he almost had him killed before? Later he says that he can't kill him because they're friends but then why beat Black within an inch of his life before that? If all he wanted to do was lure White to help him, why not kidnap Black and tell White he needs to go undercover to find out who took him?

While there are some spots when this drama feels a tad slow with the side stories, looking at you Eugene, and other times where production seems to have messed up what time of day it is, it’s morning in one place and midday in another. At one point it was an entirely different day in one scene but still the day before in another. DESPITE those production errors, the main story is really compelling. Sean and White are adorable and watching their relationship unfold was really a ride. This drama really delivers angst without being terribly uncomfortable. It's just the right amount to keep you on the edge of your seat unable to stop yourself from needing to see what happens next.

Don’t hesitate on this drama. It’s worth the watch.

One of the Best BL Series

This was an outstanding series. The multiple storylines were great. I love it when a series has a strong storyline which incorporates the bl couple(s) development. The script was wonderful, and I like how they tied up everything in the end. There were some elements of the script that are weak in my opinion (don’t worry, no spoilers). However, the weak points are minor and does not really distract from the story. I was also able to predict who had Black severally beaten. I’m not surprised that the acting was amazing because this series has quite a few veteran actors in it.
