This gives me hope for better quality LGBTQ+ content from Korea.
This is by far the best Korean BL I've seen so far! The cast was great, the acting was great, the script was great, the music was great. Everything was soooo good! They used up every short minute of the show carefully. I only wished there was one more episode, so there was more story to develop the feelings between the leads, so we connected to it more. The only other drawback I see is with the side characters. But their story couldn't be developed with the plot cause of the time restraints and that's understandable.
There's nothing more to say. Just watch it!

Surely super entertaining, though a little bit superficial
This was a fun series to watch. Production value and cast were great. Everything was competent. It’s the type of thing that just feels right when you’re watching cuz there’s nothing that feels out of place. It’s like, perfect. The plot is alright. It’s not something incredible and innovative, but it’s well written. It feels like a perfectly executed recipe. Now, what I think was missing that could make it more heartfelt and special was depth. It kind of feels hollow. Yes, Jaeyeong is charming, expansive, determinated. Yes, Sangwoo is cold and robotic with a bit of fluff inside of him. But there’s nearly nothing we know about them other than these traits and some information that don’t really add much to their eventual emotional connection. They definitely have specific personalities, but those traits don’t make me immerse into their minds to feel what they’re feeling. Therefore, I don’t understand why Sangwoo is so closed off to the world. I don’t understand what made Jaeyeong fall in love with Sangwoo and vice-versa. Well, I think people fall for any reason, which means it still works, but I think something deeper could bring a bigger emotional punch. The chemistry between the actors is great and electric, which is what seems to count the most for some and it might make up for anything that might be missing in the writing department.

Great Series and Must See
I really think that episodes 1 to 4 are 10 rating. Park Sao Ham is just amazing and deserves an award. Especially for the first four episodes. Park Jae Chan is very good in the first 4 episodes too, but I feel he gets better, and his character is more likeable in the last 4 episodes. Episodes 5 and 6 are transition episodes that could have been better. PJC character loses something in episodes 5 and 6 but gains some more depth in 7 and 8. The ending is somewhat anti climatic for me. Could have been better. For sure the first four episodes were the most enjoyable series I've ever seen. It was fresh, quirky and very engaging for me. All of the support characters were very strong especially Song gi oh. congrats for a great series. Make more like this! Was this review helpful to you?
Definitely a fave
This will be taking the number 2 slot of my all time Korean BL fave. Right behind ‘To My Star’. The leads have great chemistry, not to mention how gorgeous they both but seriously… :) Great delivery of lines and their body language was well done too. A lot of times I find BLs to lack believability. Some times the actors are just delivering their lines. This pairing was well done though. They sold it to me. Korea is definitely catching up with other countries, like Thailand.. I think they’ve surpassed them in terms of good storylines and way better acting. Can’t wait to see more from them. Was this review helpful to you?
Slow, repeated story
The story is something that we have seen from time to time. Especially university BLs are too common. The story is slow between 2 main leads, one who doe everything using logic has his whole life properly structured whereas the other is carefree and pretty much opposite of the other guy.
The story is a bit slow, I think it would have been better to show it as a movie instead.
The acting is nice but the carefree character could have been portrayed a bit better.
Please ignore my music rating.

Semantic Error: Clear
This is a very good Korean BL series that got a bit archetypical in the end but it is still one of the better ones out there. The main couple was cute and had some great kissing scenes. However, I watched this series through rose-colored glasses as I had a different twist as to who Sangchu really was. Thinking of him the way I did put this series in a broader perspective for me. But no matter how you see these guys, it is still one of the better BLs out there. I am an avid fan of Korean drama. Indeed, they are the new "Hollywood".Was this review helpful to you?
Rewatch Value For Sure
I have watched this show from start to finish 3 times. And I am willing to do it again. I love the acting. I listen to the soundtrack on spotify. I even tried reading the manga (dont do it). The character development is so well done, and their relationship growth doesn't seem too rushed (although a friend suggested it was a tad fast in one spot but didn't take points away for it). The use of colors to show emotional states, how their clothes express their inner thoughts just as much as their expressions or dialogue - this show did so well! I love recommending this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet take on neuro-diversity
I really liked this drama for its handling of romantic love and neuro-diversity. It's pretty clear that Sang Woo is on the autism spectrum. Every detail to signal this has been provided - the fact he needs routine, order and predictability, his tactile defensiveness (hates being touched unexpectedly), the smart guy who treats people like objects - it's all there but it's done in such a way that it is not necessary to label him on the basis of it. Instead, the direction seems to have an enjoyable and affectionate take on many of his "robotic" mannerisms, providing a lighter and less stereo-typed take on difference.Sang Woo has to grow the most - he has to become flexible and allow himself to love and in this way, he is able to find his place in the world and someone to be with in it.
There's a real sweetness to this drama, and sincerity which makes it feel fresh despite it covering all the usual themes. This is a BL drama and just like with the theme of neuro-diversity, the attraction of these 2 leads needs no explanation or defending to anyone. They are just who they are, doing what they do, and everyone goes along with it.
Conclusion: easy to watch and a nice bite sized binge for a rainy afternoon.

Doesn't Reinvent the Wheel, In the Best Way
This drama is not doing anything new. The enemies to lovers trope, the college setting, the tsundere/sunshine trope...however, it does it extremely well to the point where I didn't care.Instead of feeling like a bunch of chopped up pieces of a rushed movie, this series packs each 20-25 minute episode with fully fleshed characters, great chemistry and dialogue. This is a great example of how a short web-series can be done correctly and effectively.
It won't win any awards for uniqueness, but who cares? It's so fun to watch!

Would have been an amazing drama if it didn't have a Semantic Error!
Semantic Error is a very good light-hearted BL drama. However, the semantic error in this drama is that it's a drama... The definition of drama is a movie or television production with characteristics (such as conflict) of a serious play... Semantic Error doesn't really have any real conflict or drama that raises the stakes for any of the characters, so while a great one time watch, if you sit back and think, do I want to watch this again, the answer is no. It's a good one time watch, but because the last episode is rushed the "drama" in this drama is missing, which led to the downfall of this drama.STORY:
Chu Sangwoo is a junior college student with a robotic sense of rules. He makes a presentation about his group work and decides to by name drop everyone who didn't help him with the project. This name dropping results in the university dropping the grades of everyone who didn't help, including Jang Jaeyoung. Jaeyoung's graduation and plans to study abroad are put on hold. so he decides to seek out Sangwoo. Soon Sangwoo learns that the designer he was interested in working with is actually Jaeyoung. Sangwoo tries to ignore Jaeyoung's retaliation of childish pranks, but they soon end up getting a little too comfortable with each other's presence.
Okay... So where to start....
The plot seems interesting as a web novel, but it's very elementary when is comes to live action drama. As the audience, we are suddenly dropped into Sangwoo's presentation where he throws lots of people under the bus, but we don't actually get to see him get frustrated, see him get assigned the project, or anything. We just are shown the end result of the project, so we don't have any sense of understanding as to why Sangwoo name dropped these people. Similarly, we don't get to see Jaeyoung be very upset about his plans being cancelled. so we don't understand why he retaliated against Sangwoo. Also, how could Sangwoo and Jaeyoung not know each other if they were supposed to be working on the same group project? I don't understand... And this is the first episode of the drama.
Once you get past the first episode the plot is actually decent. It's a light-hearted and fun story. The real error of this drama is that that producers decided to put the climax in the last episode. Since the episode is only about 30 minutes long, the entire issue of Jaeyoung's acceptance into a French program putting a strain on Sangwoo's response as to whether or not they should date is really rushed. Because of this, I felt that Sangwoo really didn't love Jaeyoung as he claimed. I also felt that Jaeyoung didn't really care for Sangwoo much either, which is very unfortunate.
Sangwoo x Jaeyoung
Sangwoo is awkward, robotic and doesn't believe in people or love. Jaeyoung is popular, outgoing, and always goes with the flow. It's supposed to be an opposites attract type of love, and they both are cute together. However, due to the rushed ending, I'm questioning how long they will last as a couple. As I said earlier, they due to the pacing of the last episode, they don't seem to be as in love with each other as I hoped they would be... Which is a bummer because they are adorable together.
OVERALL:
I had high hopes for this drama, but the last episode really ruined it for me. A nice one time watch, but I can live without watching it again.

MUST WATCH!! GIVE IT A TRY!!
An addicting one!Yep, Addicting despite of the usual School theme enemy to lovers kind of story. I've read the manwha (well still currently reading it since its on going) and I can say that they've change some part but in acceptable way. The two MAIN CAST is the MAIN reason why this BL drama SHINES. They made a right decision to cast Park Seoham as Jaeyoung and Park Jaechan as Sang woo. They're so fit into this role and the chemistry of these two is overflowing. The way Jaeyoung look at Sang woo is mesmerizing. Like wow! The tense on his eyes.
Sangwo's character is annoying at first like a robotic and self centered human being lol but glad after he met Jaeyoung he started to have a character development and I'm loving it. Not knowing anything in life but just based it in books and science. obviously he doesn't have any experience with love or anything but I find it cute coz he is always the one who initiate the kiss. lol specially the first kiss and even in the second one..
Jaeyoung in the other hand is the best for me, his character is playful yet matured.. When you read the Manhwa you'll know that he's not straight that's why he's vocal with his feeling about Sang woo. Ah, I love him. Even their friends specially the girl best friend of Jaeyong is the best! Glad that she's there and the other friend is funny.
KUDOS to the team! Thanks for introducing Park Seoham and Park Jaechan to everyone. They deserve a reward for this coz they both did a great job.
The song is perfect as well and will re-watch it again and again.
So if you haven't watched it yet. Give it a try. Who know's you'll love it the same way I did.
PS: Actors are definitely gorgeous. Seoham and Jaechan's visuals are sooooo gooood! ❤️

actually a banger
I have been seeing ads for this so much that it's not even funny. So I watched it. I did watch a show in between, but I finally finished this one today. It was good. just a cute one that I could watch in the background of homework and whatnot. The actors did really well; I enjoyed their acting; it was really good. The body movements and the facial movements really added to it. No one made me want to shoot them, which is good. Likeable characters, and all the actors were extremely good-looking. so I would recommend this. My average for episodes was a solid 9, so I think this is a good, cute, short one to watch whenever. overhyped but not necessarily bad. I enjoyed it. I will probably watch it again. okay bye.Was this review helpful to you?
