Both are about succesful, single working women in their 30s. They have a very similar vibe...The director of In Time With You was also part of creating The Pursuit of Happiness.
Both are stories of cohabitation. The female leads are both older career oriented individuals who are initially in love with another guy. Through shared experience and interactions both couples fell in love however the female leads are slower to catch on their feelings. The female leads eventually realized that they cant live without the male lead when the male leads disappears.
Discovering love takes work. Great chemistry. PoH has more interesting dynamics between the leads because they don't seem like your stereotypical drama leads but more like the typical stereotype of a second leads. but this time you get to see why they think the way they do and why they act the way they do. LNF has all the drama clichés you could hope for yet you still get excited for what comes next.
Tachibana Miyabi is 39-years-old and hasn't had a boyfriend in 5 years. This doesn't bother her though as she is pretty and confident and enjoys her life as a single woman. She is a doctor and runs her own successful dermatology clinic. But at her school reunion, she finds herself being pitied by others for still being single. Afterwards, she attends a gourmet meeting at a restaurant. There, she talks about her school reunion. Seiji, the owner of the restaurant, makes a biting remark that she isn't the type popular with men. She becomes upset by the remark, but finds herself taking his advice to heart. Eventually, she asks Seiji to mentor her on how to catch men to which Seiji agrees. What follows is a series of mishaps and triumphs and adventures as Miyabi does her best to be the 'type' of woman men want.
These dramas follow a different story but have very similar themes. They explore why some people just don't seem to fall in love as easily as others. Each features three women around the same age contemplating what it means to fall in love, be in love, and what it takes to make a loving relationship last.
