A Love That Span Three Lifetimes.
Till The End of the Moon should the be the definition of a rollercoaster ride in the Oxford Dictionary. From the first episode till the very end it was an emotional rollercoaster from being excited, exhilarated, or happy and making you feel sad, disappointed, or desperate. Now, is this drama perfect? No, some parts are kind of weak, inconsistent and a bit coherent like how it abruptly ends the episode. This was probably due to the cutting down the number of episodes. But I was hooked throughout the story, and the chemistry between the FL and ML are worth 5 stars alone.
Speaking of ML, there is no one that can play Devil God/Tantai Jin/ Cang Jiu Min/Ming Ye so well as Luo Yunxi. The four characters are different from each other yet he managed to pay them flawlessly. Specially when there are scenes where he is facing himself, you can clearly see that both characters are different and he is that character in that moment.
From all four characters, Tantai Jin is my favourite. Rather than saying that Luo Yunxi played Tantai Jin, it's accurate to say Luo Yunxi was Tantai Jin. He convinced me that no one can be Tantai Jin except him.
I became a Tantai Jin apologist pretty early in the story as you can see him trying but still it doesn't work and firmly rooted for him until the end. Is he evil? Yes. Psychotic? Yes, for a big part of the story but at the end he seems to be more righteous than some of the so called "good people"
Of course Bai Lu definitely did a great job playing Li Su Su/Ye Xi Wu/Sang Jiu. Her acting as Ye Xi Wu is my favourite. Specially the emotional scenes where she really was Ye Xi Wu at that moment and can't forget Demon Sang Jiu who was on point.
Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi together is an explosion of chemistry. These two really know how to build up the tensions and those glances. Yes those glances are like the best from mocking glances to sad glances to intimate ones.
I didn't really pay much attention to the 2nd CP of Chen Du Ling and Deng Wei as it was not working for me. (The characters weren't my cup of tea). But the 3rd CP was one I was rooting along with the main CP. Loved the whole dynamic of the seductress Fox demon and somewhat of innocent General.
Human arc is the BEST arc for me in the drama. I won't lie that I pretty much skipped ALOT of the dream arc because I really wanted to see Tantai Jin. Part of wish that they cut down the dream arc a bit and focused more on the ending so we would've gotten a much more completed ending like the novel.
The customs were actually very nice specially Tantai Jin's outfits after being the ruler. Every character's outfits seemed to reflect their character's personality well. CGI was good and the osts were enjoyable specially the ending ost.
This is a good drama for those who love morally grey characters, or rather, enjoy unapologetically evil and ruthless MLs but has a soft side to him as well. Compared to the novel, the drama ML is very much more human and more compassionate. The FL in the drama is not cold hearted as the one in the novel.
All in all, it's not a drama for the faint at heart, but it's still a good story if you like romance xianxia with strong and morally flawed characters, demonic vs righteous CP, enemies to lovers and an overall good plot and good writing. There are even some cute side characters to make up for all the angst.
Ps. I think we all expected the ending to be like that but still I wished we got the novel ending.

The Devil is actually the victim
This is one drama that have all the characters are evil. All of them are abusive, vindictive, manipulative and cold to the ML. Everyone contributed in creating the "Devil". ML was deemed a monster since birth, just because his mother died during childbirth. And growing up in a very harsh environment, surrounded by very cruel people. No one had ever showed him sincere care and love. So how can he understand love if he never experienced it? All ML do was trying to survive using his logic, the logic of a person that knows only suffering, cruelty and pain. Was this review helpful to you?

Feeling alive again after 6 years
I obsessed with xianxia drama after watching Eternal Love in 2017. This left me with unending feelings for a month after it ends. I fell in love with it. This drama give me the exact same feeling I get from back then. Exciting for every new episodes, chilling over brilliant acting, falling head over heels for the settings and costumes, crazy with angst and misunderstands in the story and so on.But I had to admit that CGI and costumes are advances as per years. In this drama I think they use Apsaras; heavenly styles that I most seen in Tang dynasty dances. I love those styles. They're graceful, heavenly, attractive and godly as well. Together with the best CP (LYX and BL) this make perfect (x10).

Stunning and Beautiful. A piece of Visual Art
I am from Pakistan. I came across this drama in my recommendations on Netflix. I had not seen a Chinese fantasy drama since I was a kid and decided to check it out. I was hooked from the very first episode. It may just be that I am watching Chinese dramas after a long time but this is the epitome of what Xianxia/Fantasy dramas are supposed to be. Epic storyline, emotional but not too sad, very high stakes, palace politics, military campaigns, anything and everything.Luo Yunxi absolutely rocks as the main character of Tantai Jin. He is, at least for me, an absolute revelation. A true master of his craft. Every move and every small expression is masterful and adds to the scene. In fact, he owns the shows and commands every scene he is in. What an excellent actor and performer. I wish the world gets to see more of him because actors like him come down only once a generation.
The supporting actors are also all at the top of their game. Bai Lu plays an excellent aloof, strong, desperate fragile girl looking to save the world. Top-class acting here as well. In fact, everyone acts wonderfully.
Now let me talk about world-building and artwork. Beautiful characters, deep mythology, stunning sets and costumes, really gives the whole drama a regal look. In fact it is a visual art piece, something that China can show off to the world. I think the CGI could have been a bit better, but I know dramas have their limitations. The music is wonderful, and exactly how it should be. Wonderful traditional instruments with modern sensibilities. Even the staff roll is art is beautiful.
You could see everyone has tried to give their absolute best. From the actors to the technicians, everyone on set, was trying hard, day in and day out to create something special...and special they did

Dropped like a hot potato
I don't know about you guys but when that DREAM ARC showed up I was like "what the hell is even happening?". The main story is still confusing then you gave me another one to what? To divulge what if they are in good's side? What's more depressing is that they AGAIN GOT INTO AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE. You do not do that to love couples 2x. Can they not be in love naturally? Him saving her or something? So that he and she falls in love naturally? But wth you went with the arranged marriage theme AGAIN. Lol. So boring. Dropped. Was this review helpful to you?

the end of my sanity runs so thin
If I'm being honest, I am watching this show because of Luo Yunxi. I really hoped I would see him as Chu Wanning for now.. but this is what I get for now so I have to live with it.This show has a lot of similarities to the one I wish I was watching, but looking past that I can see a lot of things that are convoluted and messed up about the story. There are an overwhelming amount of 10/10 reviews so I am rating this more realistically. I am being more harsh because so many people just say 10/10.
So its not bad. The costumes are gorgeous, the sets are gorgeous. Its really good looking. At times the CGI is over ambitious. I realize I am not like the many many others that are applauding it. It is way too much whenever it is there, it is like a bad marvel movie. I get it is the heavenly realm or immortal realm or whatever, but still- the amount of disbelief I can overlook is a lot- and it goes over that bar by a large margin. The CGI is CGI, if I can tell by that point it takes me out of the story. The half of the first episode is hard to watch because of the over saturation of the CGI. It is a huge battle and Luo Yunxi's demon god character is overpowered. This drama is just overproduced. I wish at some point someone anywhere would have told them to stop. I should have saw this coming with the posters for this show (the photoshop is horrendous.. why is there hair floating, Luo Yunxi's hand...) also I kid you not, they reuse shots.. and they freeze shots as if they don't have the material.
That's ok. They set it up so I hate him and he is irredeemable. He killed Bai Lu's characters whole clan (she has like three names so forgive me, I call her Bai Lu). Her father dies in front of her eyes and she is taken back in time to Demon Lord not being demon Lord so she can kill him...
This is where I have a problem. He is this dictator that kills anyone for power. He wiped out several races for power, and its fine it isn't explained why he wants that yet. I like the idea of seeing why he becomes bad and his life is honestly so pathetic that I don't blame him for being upset. It is just underwhelming that Bai Lu is sympathizing with him? He killed her whole family but she is so into this new life. The thing I am having a hard time digesting is that the life isn't even hers. I don't know why she cares so much, and if it is because she is nice than I think that is dumb. I'm sorry. She comes back to kill him, but is taking her time for some evil bone- but in the meantime she is sympathizing? The whole killing several races trumps over whatever he is crying about or getting beaten over. This show right there is off, the plot holes of her being the person in the first place to go back in time to kill him. Main character energy I like, but this is just too much.
It was because she was the only one who wasn't dead. I wish someone less easily swayed was there instead. So in the end when she wishes that she didn't sympathize and has her moment, I don't care. I just think she is so so so dumb. It is a whole romance story, but that is my problem. I get it is based off a book, but if other dramas have to change their narrative to make sense - why can't this one?
It would be a million times better if the narrative was changed. Like have Demon Lord not kill her family, change it to minutes before to show that he is about to but is conflicted. Then I would be ok with her sympathizing because of his pause. Or maybe cut out the romance. Honestly this show caters to the audience, to hopeless romantics. What is with China and romanticizing toxic relationships.
Luo Yunxi gets abused by Bai Lu in the previous life, but then she's nice for a few days and he wants to stay with her? It is Stockholm syndrome I swear. Both sides of knowing they are going to get together make me uncomfortable. There are stories that do the whole being evil but being human better. Luo Yunxi pre demon lord is established to have no feelings- so that's another plot hole? I am watching and getting frustrated by the absurdity of all these plot holes. So for that I rate it like I did.
The acting is very good. The costumes are good.. the story is something I can't get into because it is another drama that is yet again falling into the deep romance. I wish stories could be more gritty and stick with it. It is a shame because it is like there is a guy and a girl leading then in China they have to fall in love. Even if that is the worst possible decision for both of the characters.
I’m officially dropping after the multiple plot lines of drugging characters and sleeping together. There is a word for that- and it’s sickening. This drama glorifies the whole idea of that and it’s like they are trying to have it pass because the girl did it to the guy .. it’s flashy its- offensive and spreads the wrong messages. This show is unaware and I can’t buy into their love. Across all the different timelines or universes or lifetimes. It’s toxic and I refuse it. I could write a several page essay and it’s a shame. I wanted to finish this one but I’m done.
Summing it up it is way too much. Everything it too much and it’s not balanced. Maybe it’s good at the end but at this point I wasted 10 hours. That’s a lot and I’m not wasting 30 more

I WANT AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS RANKING
Every time, i cannot really understand why the ranking become so low from the first episodes. This is completely unfair not only for this drama but also for much more that i have noticed. Mydramalist have to give access only for the final assessment. Please stop unfairly rating a drama when its plot hasn't even started yet. By what criteria has this rating been made? I really can't understand it's ridiculous. Τhe application should definitely be improved and not let the user set a score until the completion of viewing a work. How much more so when in the morning his score was 8.7 and in the evening it fell to 8.3.Please write down your reasons ,because I seriously don't understand them. ITS RIDICULOUS!!!!!

This is one of the best xianxia drama I have watched in the recent years!
The first episode was so typical of xianxia drama and I was struggling to finish watching it. I also did not particularly fancy the cover page of the drama (on Netflix) which shows TJJ’s face only. But I was so thankful I didn’t give up as the drama turned out to be so good! I was captivated by the lead actor Luo Yun Xi’s acting of the character TJJ/ MY and the Denon lord. Also very impressed by Chen Du Ling as YBC (I hated her when she did all the evil things) and Deng Wei as XL. Bai Lu also brought out the character of YXW pretty well. Just the acting by the actors and actresses make the drama worth watching. There were some illogical parts and very obvious villain characters which make some parts of the story predictable but these are quite minor and I would still rate the story as good and coherent. The CGI, customs and OST are great too. However, thought the music could be better, e.g specific ost / remixes ost to support specific scenes, like what was done well in Love like the Galaxy. Was this review helpful to you?
still on episode 14
hear me out, I love this cdraa!!!, if you enjoyed and was immersed with lost you forever, you’ll definitely like this one. My feels, love, emotions for till the end of the moon is beyond the love, feels, and emotions I had with lost you forever. I can’t put into words exactly, but by episode 3 I was instantly hooked, whirl wind of emotions, one minute I’m laughing, having butterflies on my stomach, weeping, in anger. so many emotions with this series, it’s that good! I should know because I am quite picky & very hard to please but I really love this series from acting, to the cast, well except for the elder sister she gets into my nerves lol you’ll have to watch it to know what I’m pertaining too wink*Was this review helpful to you?
One of best xianxia dramas.
This drama is a visually stunning and emotionally intense Chinese fantasy drama, blending elements of romance, power struggles, and dark fantasy. The story is set in a world ruled by demonic forces, where humanity faces extinction, and the female lead plays a key role in trying to turn the tide. The plot is complex, with multiple timelines and deep character arcs, which keeps the audience hooked as the story unfolds. The lead actors, Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu, deliver compelling performances, with excellent chemistry and character development that explores themes of love, sacrifice, and destiny.
The cinematography is a standout, with beautiful sets, intricate costumes, and impressive CGI that brings the fantastical elements to life. The soundtrack also adds to the immersive experience, heightening the emotional weight of key moments.
However, the drama can feel a bit slow-paced at times, particularly in the middle episodes, with some plotlines feeling drawn out. That said, the emotional payoff and high-stakes narrative make it a captivating watch for fans of the fantasy genre.

A very entertaining story
I have watched this drama twice and loved it each time. Generally I can move on from shows but I keep finding myself going back to Till the End of the Moon edits. If you have read the novel and are expecting the same thing from the show, although there are certain scenes that are the same and although the premise is basically the same, they are very different, which I assume is due to censorship. If you plan to watch I also recommend taking into consideration if you can take unrealistic stuff seriously because I know people who found the whole thing funny and cringy because they couldn’t take it seriously. I happen to love taking things seriously though so this became and remains one of my favorite dramas. Was this review helpful to you?
