Loved the series

This was a pleasant find. I wasn't aware of this series until I stumbled on it. The only thing I found wrong with the series was basic lack of research by the person who wrote th script. The story was fantastic, but the blood type that can only recieve the same blood type is O-. Gun shined in this role and Boat was the perfect matchup for him in this story. The other characters were well casted as well. Tenon and Sugus were great in their roles as well with a great side story and lots of chemistry. Like I said, I loved everything about it other than the lack of research.... golden blood is O-. It is the universal giver but not reciever. AB- can recieve all negative blood types.

literally what is going on

This show amazed me in a way that i've never been amazed before, but I do not mean that in a good way. So many things just make zero sense whatsoever. How can a mafia be a mafia without illegal activity??? That is literally not possible. It shows in the first episode that Sun just randomly got a call and casually became Sky's bodyguard, but then we learn that he's been training his entire life to be his bodyguard??? How come they have never met before if his entire reason for living thus far has been Sky??? ALSOOOOOO THEY TELL EVERYBODY THAT THEY ARE COUSINS, BUT THEN JUST DROP THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DATING ONE DAY AND NEVER SPECIFY THAT THEY LIED ABOUT BEING COUSINS. SO TO EVERYBODY'S KNOWLEDGE THEY ARE LITERALLY COUSINS AND DATING!!!! Don't even get me started on how the end of this show was literally worse than anything I could have come up with to end this show. A SIX YEAR NO CONTACT BREAK IN THEIR BRAND NEW RELATIONSHIP. Sorry but who is waiting 6 years to be together... there is a certain point where I say just disrespect your father and date. Speaking of the father why was he literally the worst man in the entire world and we were just supposed to ignore it. He "tested" sun by PRETENDING HE WAS GOING TO KILL HIM. AFTER RAISING HIM AS A LITERAL BLOODBANK FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS OF HIS LIFE. FREE SUN AND SKY FROM THIS TERRIBLE MANNN WHY DID THEY FEEL THE NEED TO GET HIS APPROVAL SO BAD.

Okay now let's talk about how the two girls in the friend group are the real victims of this show. They were literally strung along and given hope for the entire series that their crushes liked them back. Literally from episode one Sun could have told Juno that he did not have feelings for her. And then when Sky asked Toktaeng on a date ONLY because he wanted to get back at Sun??? Oh that made me hate him so bad. I never liked Sky but that was a new level of hatred I felt for him.

Anyways the show wasn't even that bad and I was entertained most of the time I just thought the inconsistencies were rly funny tbh . The second couple was cute too so.

bro trained his whole life for this momment

The average was 8.25 stars out of 10. This wasn't even that bad. I'm so obsessed with this trope. I love the bodyguard, and I will protect you with my life trope so much. The story was meh. It was pretty okay. The ending was not as bad as people make it out to be, but I kind of wanted more. Okay, so I am going to go on my close friend's story highlight, and I am probably not going to watch the movie because it's just these 8 episodes in 2 hours, and that's kind of a waste of time.

My first reaction was that this lowkey resembles Kinn Porsche with the bodyguard shit. And it was a tale of thosuand stars with the parents paying the person to watch over their son and then the son thinking that they only did this because of their parents. Those were the vibes. I made a joke that Sky's dad is a mafia boss but can't pay the damn water bill in his son's house. Bro needs to step up as a father. Sky was your average annoying main character who just wanted nothing to do with his dad's mafia business and some loving, and that was interesting but not anything I have not seen before.

Then we met Pitch, and he was really making me uncomfortable. Good job on the actor for that, because, oh my god, he was making me so uncomfortable it wasn't even funny. I looked, and he and Bank were also main characters, so I already knew they were going to have something going on, and I love them together.

Of course Sun was an orphan, bro, because we need that good emo backstory for a mafia romance, lol. Then Sun and Sky started to have little moments, and I started to see that the actors actually had some chemistry, and the story started actually going somewhere, because for a good while it really wasn't going anywhere. Then we got more Bank and Pitch, with Bank sleeping in Pitch's bathtub and Pitch starting to fall in love with him. That was really cute, and you can tell he started to have a soft spot for Bank and his stupidity.

Then they jumped to a random date out of nowhere. I was like, What the hell? We have actually seen no development for the past 3 episodes; how are you all even on a date? Like it made no sense. How are you going to make an 8-episode drama a slow burn, bro? Like, what the hell? Then the sun dove into the shallow ass water to save the sky, and then sky did the same, and I actually couldn't stop laughing. The way he dove into the water was so fucking funny. I couldn't even breathe, bro.

Then we had the Thai drama random ass school trip or vacation, and this girl clapped back at the bank and everyone started laughing. That was definitely not in the script, lol. The way everyone was laughing Then bro started singing. Bro, shut up; this isn't a gacha singing battle or trolls; be quiet. Singing didn't kill your stupid grandma, bro. Shut up.

Then we got some more pitches and bank moments. Pitch once again had me scared for my own life through the screen with the way he was looking at Bank. Then both of our couples fell apart at the same exact time, like, what? Catch me a break, please. How are they going to go back and forth and just fall apart for the same exact reason?

Then the goofy ass fight scene, which had me laughing the entire time, I was giving partners in crime by set it off, and it made me really happy for some reason. And then we find out how fucking annoying Sky's dad is when Sun takes a bullet for his goofy ass. Then I said, That's why his wife is dead because he's a bitch; just let them love each other and let me get my super mega happy ending.

"A life without a younger master is like living dead." That was deep, homie. I need someone like that in my life right now. That was a cold line, and I liked it. Then they split up to prove their love, and we got a shitass ending. They could have dragged that out just a bit to get us a super-happy ending. Meh, it was good. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not that bad. I would have written this six hours ago, but the shift started. Okay bye!

Better than I thought it would be

The idea for this story was intriguing for me as I've seen a couple of mafia series now and have enjoyed the added suspense aspect it brings. This series was definitely more on the lighthearted side of the serious spectrum mainly because the main characters are not in a business of "questionable legality." Even the mafia boss is not in illegal activity so it's a nice change from the idea that we root for a bad guy, despite what he does for a living.

I was concerned that as soon as the bodyguard showed up that Sky was going to become a whining brat and purposefully get himself in danger just to defy his father. It didn't really happen though he did at first become very defiant and stubborn against Sun. But the fact was, Sun nor Father told Sky the severity of what was going on so he was just trying to live his life like he normally does. I mean, I can't really blame him because I would have probably done the same if I lived a certain way and then all of a sudden had a babysitter when I'm an adult with no explanation why. But I was pleasantly surprised when Sky found out the threat against his life that he immediately became more careful; listening to Sun and even asking his permission to do things. And the threat felt very organic.. the way the two bosses were going back and forth with their attacks. And I really liked how Sky was saying it's a never ending cycle that someone has to break by not retaliating. That was very mature of him to see that when the adults didn't.

One of the things that brought down the rating for me was the acting... it was sometimes distractingly amateurish even though the bulk of the mains have a decent acting history/background. And while the MC had good chemistry, they almost looked uncomfortable whenever they had to kiss. At that point, I wish they just wouldn't put it in at all and let us fill in those gaps with our imagination because otherwise is pops the chemistry bubble they had going on.

While I didn't like the way Sky used the girls to make Sun jealous, I also couldn't believe that they never picked up on Sun and Sky's attraction to each other nor did they get the hint when Sun always shot down the advances. I mean, come on, if a guy is into you, he'd be thrilled at how much you touch him and cling to him but he always had to pry her hands off him... was that not obvious enough? I'm glad that all they did was cry when Sun and Sky announced their relationship because if the girls had gotten pissed or wanted to cut ties with them because of it, the rating would have gone down more for me. I'm glad they were all friends still in the end and can be mature about it.

Which is more than I could say for Father... seriously.. as if the boys' actions of putting the others' life before their own was not a testament of their sincerity, he makes them live apart for 6 years and waste precious time together? So silly.

Anyway, overall I thought it was an enjoyable watch and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a series with a progressive, interesting plot that doesn't require too much brain power.

The actors deserve a better storyline

It has great acting for the most parts. The acting is above the average BL acting (which is mostly cringey haha)

However, the show overall could use a better storyline. The story is exactly as the synopsis (no surprise or plot twist lol), but I'm okay with that. What I am not okay with is the amount of fillers. It became draggy and meaningless over time

It started out great initially, I was laughing a lot and enjoying at first few episodes and it just went downhill.

Still....Welldone for the acting, especially chemistry for PitchBank (They need a series of their own!)

Overall, I give full credits to the great acting, and think this show could have been a hit with such great casts, if only the storyline, plot and execution is better.

Could be better.

First the rating was between 8 and 10 but now it has become 3/10 because a lot was missing.
Could be so much better. im reallly disappointed. i waited for many lovescenes. For example On Episode 3> Man this was so stupid lol…..why he goes always alone in a place …without the bodyguard….? is he so stupid or what?
Seriously? Lmao…put himself always in danger….and others too..

It's nice

Ok, not going to lie I 100% went looking for this show because of Gun. He did such a good job playing Techno in Love by Chance 1 & 2 that I wanted to see what else he had done. He did a really good nib playing the good not good looking guy that I wanted to see what he'd do with the handsome lead character. The show wasn't horrible. Like was it the worst BL I've watch not at all but it wasn't Until We Meet Again or Love in The Air good either or was a solid medium good. The love story is good, slow to start but a decent show all together. I feel like if they had 12 episodes instead of 8 the could have flushed out a few more things but I'm not feeling like I wasted my time watching it. I REALLY REALLY wanted the other lead to be Mark and still can't understand how they tried so hard to ship Mean & Plan and not Mark & Gun.

Script that tried to differentiate itself and a direction that didn't

The setting of a blunt bodyguard and a friendly and immature young master is Cliché, but the screenplay in it depicts delicate emotions. But the conflicts are so cliché. It's boring and meaningless.
The direction is too old-fashioned, and the direction of the action scene is especially bad. The sudden appearance of slapstick in the action scene was an escape from the context, and it seems to reflect the director's taste. Dare to say, it's not really appropriate.
Gun Napat's performance has evolved since "Love by Chance," and his awkward performance seems to be due to the use of facial muscles.

please try watching this!

before watching this show, i kept seeing reviews saying that this show is really bad which made me hesitant to start. however this show isn’t as bad as i thought! it was pretty enjoyable and the casting was so good, especially for sun, i really liked how boat played his role. although gun’s acting was really bad, the great music and cute scenes made up for it a little. there were scenes that made me emotional and the chemistry between the pair is really cute. i unexpectedly quite enjoyed this show. anyhow, just give it a chance! it may not be for everyone but it’s worth watching at least once.

Sun’s Attractiveness ESCALATED, also cute show

Ok!!! I have finished!!!
I don’t think I’d need to rewatch this one but it was pretty solid. I liked the storyline, I hate that the dad turned out to be homophobic but what do you expect from a mafia boss?!
Sun’s ATTRACTIVENESS went from like a 3 to a 10 for me from the first to the eighth episode!!! He bloomed so much! He also gained so much personality!!
I found Sky a bit annoying and dramatic but I also felt like he got handed everything he wanted and I felt as if I saw him grow through the series, and he really loved Sun so he was fine in my book.
PETITION FOR A BANK/PITCH sequel, I love the energy of these two!
I found the girls annoying. That’s all. Especially the one that was chasing Sun. BOUNDARIES, girl! But anyways overall it was a pretty ok drama. Really liked Sun the most.

It was quite boring...

The first few episodes were not so bad because of the construct of the relationships so it was not too cliche but just a moment after I couldn't bear it.
Let me explain why:
The actors are not so good at playing, Gun (Sky) especially, I can't take him seriously I'm sorry, it was also kinda the same at some moments with Sugus (playing Pitch) who tended to overdo it but his play got better over the episodes.
We can see they were on low budget and some scenes just weren't believable but it wouldn't have been a problem if the main couple worked. For me they didn't.
The story for the main couple went too fast, they were in love way too early and did so much couple things, being sometimes too cheesy (even for me) from the beginning but are not a couple until the end? I can't believe it. Because of that, the story became really boring later on as they got so much screen time.
Maybe my opinion won't be shared by some but I think the main couple didn't have any chemistry so romantic scenes were just too long with awkward silence.
I really liked the girls in the first episodes, especially Toktang but they just became love interest after that (literally every of their scene is to talk about their love interest or being an obstacle to the ship), too bad...

However!!
I think the strong point of this drama really is the second couple: BankPitch.
I loved their story line! It evolved step by step and we really could see the relation develop naturally.
They also had some good chemistry! It's such a shame they couldn't get more screen time because they just stole the show completely. I had a great time watching them bickering, being cute, being sassy. They were really fun characters and I honestly continued the show just for them (advancing twice faster in the scenes they weren't there at some point.)
They really deserve their own series!
