böyle mükemmel bir uyarlama hakkında ne diyebilirim ki?

konu uyarlamalar olunca hele ki en sevdiğim webtoonların uyarlamaları olunca epey gergin oluyorum ama kardeş bu nedir? webtoonu bir kenara koyarak başlarsam gerçekten kusursuz bir dizi benim için. he webtoonla beraber incelersek çok fazla farklılıklar var normalde bu ne be diye girişerek uyarlayana ana bacı söverdim ama önüme kusursuz bir dizi koydukları için susuyorum. en sevdiğim şey karakter gelişimidir çok güzel işlenmiş. başrol bey çok güzel oynuyor hele elini pencereye geçirdiği sahnede az daha bende ağlıyordum. maşallah nazar değmesin zaten duyduğuma göre en iyi oyuncu ödülüne almış valla hak ediyor. birisine kdrama önersem düşünmeden ilk sıralarda öneririm (sanki çok kdrama izledim de). asıl karakterleri ve 2.sezonu heyecanla bekliyorum.

A história mais dolorida que já assisti

Um drama extremamente forte, sensível e impactante. Weak hero teve um efeito sobre mim que eu não esperava ter, me causou ânsia, angústia, medo, surpresa e ódio. Toda a história é um emarranhado de coisas que eram pra dar certo e deram MUITO errado, e isso prende demais quem tá assistindo, isso foi o que aconteceu comigo também.
A história desses três amigos foi uma das coisas mais tristes e doloridas que eu vi, e não tô falando apenas das cenas que realmente causavam dores físicas (as de violência) mas também aquelas que nos aflingiam pelo simples fato de que a amizade deles ia se esvaindo e se quebrando cada vez mais. Sieun eu vou te guardar no meu coração, eu quero te ver mais sorrir nessa nova temporada e espero que sohoo esqueça de tudo e viva. Bum seok foi o que mais errou, o que tinha tudo pra tentar mudar sua história ao encontrar os dois meninos mas não, o ódio o consumiu e ele ficou cego, talvez a história dele seja a mais triste. Esse drama me fez ver tudo de uma nova perspectiva. Jihoon você é um ator foda.

For me, "Weak Hero" feels exactly like that. I never thought I’d sit down to write a review, but this series gave me such a high that I felt like it was worth sharing. If you’re looking for something that gives you that euphoric, uplifting feeling, this is it. It’s not just a school drama; it’s a whole experience.
The show revolves around SI Eun, a genius who may seem introverted but packs a punch when it comes to wisdom and street smarts. He’s the type of character that resonates because of his values—loyal, tough, and fiercely protective of his friends. His stubbornness, which makes him seem cold or even aggressive in some situations, is what makes him stand out. He isn’t perfect, but that’s exactly why he’s so real. You can feel his sense of ownership and loyalty in every fight, every decision.

Soy de las que le dan cierta grima tantas peleas tan fuertes, pero no hasta el punto de no poder verlo, así que si no es lo tuyo, esta no es tu serie, ya que son palizas en cada episodio.

Me encantan las series sobre la amistad y esta claramente lo es. Quiero muchísimo a Sieun y Sooho y hacen sus papeles increíblemente bien. El hecho de que Sooho es el único que consigue sacarle UNA sonrisa a Sieun... MI CORAZÓN. Y el personaje de Beomseok, increíble y el actor es que lo ha hecho perfecto.

Aviso de que te va a dar mucha rabia todo, te vas a cabrear y tu misme vas a querer pegar a todo el mundo jajajaja

La historia no es súper profunda, pero te muestra un poco el background de cada personaje principal y por lo que leí por ahí, es algo que no hacen en el webtoon.

No le pongo 10 por la falta de realismo. ¿Con tremendas palizas como no están todos muertos? jajaja ¿O al menos que lleguen a clase con algo más que unas tiritas y con suerte, una escayola? jajaja

Pero entiendo que al ser una adaptación de un webtoon, este tipo de webtoons no son lo más realistas, igual que en mangas o animes. Se dan palizas y casi nunca pasa anda grave jajaja

El final tuve que buscar en google exactamente que pasó en una cosa, porque hay una escena que te deja como... wait, pero... ¿ha pasado o no? Pero el último capítulo es una PASADA. En ese sí veréis más sangre.

It started off really good, the fact that the main character was using his knowledge to give himself an advantaged was very interesting and entertaining, but at some point I just got tired of all the violence. Something that always bothers me in many dramas is the lack of communication and the poor problem resolution, which I found again in this one. The acting, in my layperson opinion, was very good, but the writing on the characters wasn't developed enough for me to root for and actually like any of the characters. It was overall entertaining, but at some point I was just watching it on 1,5x speed so I could pass the fighting scenes - which were exhausting - as fast as I could.

The real weak heroes are the teachers who never showed up.

I picked up this drama because of the buzz and sky-high ratings. And while I wouldn’t call it bad, I also wouldn’t crown it the best drama of all time. The premise—a top-ranking student getting bullied—is familiar territory. Sadly, bullying is a reality many face, but the sheer level of violence in this show is jarring. At some point, I found myself wondering: where are the teachers while all this is happening? Did they take a collective vow of invisibility?

The trio at the heart of the story—Yeon Si Eun, Su Ho, and Beom Seok—are all deeply flawed, which makes them compelling, if not always likable. For me, Su Ho is the emotional anchor. He’s not perfect, but he’s the one who feels most grounded in reality. That said, the show leans hard into the idea that fighting back is noble, even when it mirrors the same brutality it’s trying to condemn. When does retaliation stop being justice and start becoming a cycle of destruction?

Beom Seok’s arc is especially troubling. Yes, he’s a victim of domestic abuse, and that context matters—but it doesn’t excuse his betrayal or the fact that he nearly killed a friend. Regret after the fact doesn’t erase the damage. For me, that was the point of no return.

This review is strictly for Season 1. I have no plans to watch Season 2, especially knowing Su Ho is reduced to a coma cameo. If the next season is just more violence without meaningful evolution, I’d rather quit while I’m ahead than rage-watch my way to a lower rating.

Painful But Beautiful Watch

I've held off watching this drama for a while now, mostly because I didn't catch it while it was airing. Then I kept wondering all this time if it actually lives up to the hype or is it just because of the cast. Truth be told, it's definitely worth the hype. It's beautifully made -- from the story to the acting, it was just perfect. I've actually read the first few chapters of Weak Hero on webtoon way before the drama came out, so my expectations were really high. Boy, did they jump over my expectations.

Now, let's get down to the review. The story was just made so realistically. Normally, I don't necessarily resonate with negatively developed characters, but Beom Seok's character touched my heart deeply. I know, he's like the most hated character because of what he did, but I completely understand where he's coming from. Although immoral actions are inexcusable, his story is truly one of a kind. I say this as I've also been in his position before -- the 'leftover' friend with no one to turn to. It's suffocating, especially when you'd just transferred schools. I've been there. When he tried to look for different 'friends', I understood it all too well. Everyone, if they were in his place, would do the same thing. The people you thought were your friends made you feel like a lost dog tagging along every time. Yes, they might not have meant it, but to Beom Seok, it was. Considering that he was bullied heavily to the point he had to receive therapy, it must have been so painful to see yourself be 'replaced' by someone else in your friend group. Just like what Si Eun had said, Beom Seok was feeling lonely. But to put it into Suho's perspective, it was also something to be angry about. I think what had to be done was for Beom Seok to explain what he truly felt to them, because clearly the other two saw him as a friend they treasured. However, that's totally easier said than done. The scene where Beom Seok hid in his closet, surrounded by children's toys was heartbreaking. It's like we could see that he never really got to escape his childhood trauma from his father's abuse and to the school bullying.

Aside from Beom Seok, I loved Si Eun's character a lot. He went from being an emotionless block that cared about his academic performance to a fearless person that loved his friends more than anything else, despite what they have done. Ji Hoon outdid himself with this one, truly. I was actually expecting an average performance from him, since he's an idol that trainedmore on performing rather than acting. The scene where he first attacked Yeong Bin was jaw-dropping. And even more so for the scene when he punched the glass window in the last episode. He truly embodied his character, not just acted as Si Eun, but really became him. It was like I wasn't seeing the cute member from WANNA ONE, but a student that had gone through so much. I'm looking forward to his acting in the second season!
Choi Hyunwook did well too. His character was static, in my opinion, though. There wasn't any development, but he was a catalyst for both of his friends' development. I loved the trio.

I really think this drama was very well made. It was very painful, especially the ending. I think there should've been a better closure, especially for Beom Seok, but I guess that'll have to wait for the next season.

I highly recommend this drama. Aside from the violence and foul language, it's an excellent drama that holds true life lessons.
