um dos melhores kdramas que eu já assisti, isso daqui é impecável
eu me apeguei muito aos personagens (EU TE AMO SUHO) e acabei sentindo tudooo 😭 eu simplesmente não esperava tudo que aconteceu
sobre a história, sendo bem sincero não botei fé que ia manter interessante até o final, mas eu quebrei a cara, me prendeu ATE o último segundo e me fez xingar todos os personagens possiveis em menos de 30 segundos de tanto que eu fiquei preso com essa série
sieun é um personagem muito inteligente e interessante, é legal de ver que ele perde a cabeça quando acabam tirando algo que ele se importa, no começo era o estudo (que levou a cena da cortina 💀) e depois foi com o suho
beom seok é um desgraçado porém é um personagem igualmente profundo, não da pra tirar isso dele

Weak Hero Class

Weak Hero Class acompanha a vida de um grupo de estudantes que, à primeira vista, são considerados fracos pela sociedade — fisicamente, socialmente ou emocionalmente. Eles não são os populares, nem os fortes, nem os líderes. São os que estão sempre nas sombras... até que resolvem reagir e lutar. A temporada toda gira em torno do trio de amigos Si eun, Su-ho e Beom Seok, com uma amizade forte e enfrentando não só os bullies, mas também as próprias inseguranças, traumas e dilemas pessoais. As cenas de luta são muito bem construídas e os diálogos, muitas vezes, sensíveis e com muito peso emocional. A história, no geral, é intensa e cheia de momentos que me deixaram tensa e até revoltada. Mas, ao mesmo tempo, é uma boa reflexão sobre amizade, solidão, abandono, e sobre força. Mesmo não sendo muito fã de histórias muito violentas e com excesso de cenas de luta, virei muito fã dessa!

I wasn't planning to watch this series b/c I felt some type of way about the bullying aspect. And a lot of teen/younger adult shows always seem to have that in them. However, I enjoyed the series mostly bc the cast is really good. The actors playing Su Ho and Sii Eun were absolutely fantastic. They played off each other very well! The bromance is top notch. The plot is intesting too and lot was being said about parental neglect and abuse as well.

Friendship at that age can be tough and navigating that is crucial. I only wished that Beom Seok's spiral had been fleshed out more than his perceived slight at Youngi being closer to Su Ho than he was. He had a ton on trauma b/c of his adopted family, especialy the father and being bullied at the prior school. He felt like he found his people and then felt slighted even though he had not been. I hate that the assemblyman got away with all of that.

I also, liked that certain things did not drag out like that loan shark/criminal nonsense. In another series we would have had to deal with that guy for 3 more eps!

Not sure if a 2nd season is needed but I will assume that the webtoon had additional pages and leave it at that.

weak hero class vai além de um dorama clássico que retrata o bullying.

Weak Hero Class é mais do que um dorama de bullying. O fato de citarem a frase do início do livro do Herman Hesse já diz um pouco do fim ou até certo ponto sobre a personalidade do bumseok e da trama em si. creio eu que se baseia bastante no livro – ou não.

Não conclui toda a leitura de DEMIAN, o livro citado no dorama, mas há pontos semelhantes dele em whc. por que? pegando a cena que o seok diz pra young que tava tudo bem até ELA aparecer na vida deles, você pode ter, ao meu ver, duas interpretações:
1. ou o bumseok gostava do sooho (o que há de se acreditar E MUITO);

2. ou a introdução de uma garota (tal qual não teve tanto papel importante quando o arco do youngbin acabou), afetou o bumseok de formas... sociais?

Isso o torna a chave principal da série. puxando pro lado de DEMIAN, no livro, há a introdução de uma mulher (EVA), na relação entre sinclair e o demian, que de certa forma é criticada pelos leitores do livro – causando uma confusão no relacionamento' dos dois e na trama.

ademais, o livro é sobre autodescoberta, é sobre ver um novo mundo, é sair da sua bolha e conhecer o que há fora – tanto que essa é a frase de inicio no kdrama "o pássaro luta para sair do ovo." é confusão sobre quem você é, onde você pertence.

Não vou me aprofundar no livro, mas é interessante ver pontos chaves dele na série. bumseok tem muitos traumas causados pelo pai adotivo, sieun é um mistério de personalidade que até então foi explorada do meio pro final, mas o drama sempre leva os nossos olhos para o abandono dos pais. da criação que ele teve sozinho, tanto de amadurecimento quanto indivíduo.
o sooho é um gancho pra esses dois, puxando-os para o mundo dele, até mesmo para autodescoberta.
Bumseok não sabe o porquê teve tanto ódio do sooho, culpando até mesmo a youngyi.

Levantando novamente aos dois questionamentos no ponto 2. Ele mesmo diz pro Sieun que nem sabe o porquê fez o que fez. Ele explorou um lado dele que até então não conhecia se a ira não tivesse o cegado.

E toda essa ira veio à tona depois de dizerem pra ele que ele era só um lacaio do sooho, deixando a visão dele deturpada sobre próprio amigo. sooho nunca mandou nele, pelo contrário, tentou ajudar sem nem saber todos os problemas que seok carrega.

- Sieun, creio eu que foi se descobrindo a cada vez que se ficava próximo do sooho, isso é mostrado no EP 4, quando o sieun atende aos desejos do sooho de comer sopa, ele volta ao hospital tarde da noite e o sooho diz "você é uma pessoa calorosa."

E ele simplesmente sorri. algo que ele não sabia que era. ele fez provavelmente sem pensar que de fato se importava com o sooho. ele sorri de timidez e talvez de felicidade. afinal, ser caloroso é uma qualidade, certo?

Muitas questões sociais e pessoais podem ser levantadas em todo decorrer da série. a corrupção, o poder que pessoas ricas têm, o olhar cego perante ao bullying em escolas, por que as pessoas fazem o que fazem e por aí vai. são várias camadas.

enfim, weak hero class 1 é pra te deixar com questionamentos, pra te fazer prestar atenção em cada mínimo detalhe de interação, fala, cenas. vai além de um kdrama de bullying. não posso deixar de falar a atuação impecável do Park Jihoon e dos demais que se entregaram 100% aos personagens.

At first, I wanted to give it 8 stars

I'm going to be frank and say that weak hero class is not a drama that stands out, but the emotions I felt watching this consequently lead me to giving this a slightly higher rating than I initially planned. If you know me, my favorite type of story is one that makes me cry uncontrollably to the point where I have to pause and rethink my whole life. This was exactly what I needed.

Starting off with the bromance between Shi Eun and Soo Ho, I think I loved that part the most. The way they would sacrifice themselves for each other just so the other could be safe from harm's way is the sweetest. Though, at the same time a vicious circle of revenge. Their friendship runs THAT deeply. A small detail I noticed is when Soo Ho came by Shi Eun's house after knowing he was beaten and said: "I'm thirsty. Give me some water," hinting to the moment where their relationship started. I was like: "OMG, the parallels!". I also SOBBED at the ending. God, the amount of grief I felt when I thought Soo Ho died. Luckily, he didn't. However, HE ISN'T GONNA APPEAR IN WHC 2??? I'm feeling sad once again. Anyhow, definitely one of the best bromances out there! I do wish we got to see more of them.

The characters are really interesting while simultaneously being the most insufferable people ever. Istg, sometimes (this means always) I just had the urge to slap Beom Seok in the face. I do appreciate his character to a certain extent, but mostly it's just a feeling of hatred. My favorite character would be Shi Eun. At first glance, he looks weak (that's why bullies pick on him). However, he uses his environment to his advantage to incapacitate the ones who beat him up. He was also surprisingly empathetic towards Beom Seok even after finding out he helped almost-killing Soo Ho. Nevertheless, he's not the nicest because how he's using his pen to fight is gruesome. Park Ji Hoon portrayed him amazingly. Now about Soo Ho, I really love him and the nonchalant way he dodges strikes. I love how he's always taking a nap while in every single class that he's in.

Normally, dramas about bullying and fight scenes (I do like fight scenes but not when it's in combination with bullying or when it overrides the plot) are not really my thing. I prefer thrillers, political intrigue and slow-burn romance. Even so, this is an exception.

Slightly overhyped

The main highlight of the show is our actors and particularly our three main male leads. They did a fantastic job in their roles for such young folks and were really able to emote well. The other main draw is the bond between two of the male leads and the way their friendship develops so naturally and in raw form.

I can see why this series is so highly rated. A story of bullying in various forms and how people can snap when pushed too far. Then there's the friendship with the lonely ML who did his best to simply keep to himself and for the world to just leave him be versus the sincere ML who would be the first one to make him genuinely smile for the first time. The dialogue between them are also written really well.

But what I didn't like about the series is the plot flow and the situations they kept finding themselves in. It's not that it isn't realistic but there were certain scenes with plot holes and certain people they zoomed in on initially but then just dropped out of the plot completely.

The takeaway from the series and from personal experience - Let insecure people hang out with other insecure people where they'll eventually take themselves out amongst each other. They really aren't worth much investment and they aren't worth feeling sorry for. And if someone is willing to betray you even once for even a minor matter, no matter what the reason, they definitely need to be kept at a distance. But if you're fortunate enough to find a friend like the two MLs, just one of them is worth a lifetime.

Puta merda SENSACIONAL

Meus amigos, que obra de arte.
Um dorama que retrata o bullying escolar de um jeito cru e frio. E também vários outros problemas que foram retratados muito bem.
Simplesmente não sei o que dizer.
A cada episódio que passa as coisas só ficam piores. Eu ficava na expectativa, das coisas melhorarem e todos os problemas acabarem, mas só ficava mais pesado. Só isso foi muito bom, achei muito legal a forma em que foi abordado e de como tudo foi tratado.
É um história incrível, com atuação tão impecáveis que os atores mostraram como se eles realmente estavam sentido aqueles sentimentos.
O dorama é bem pesado, então se vc for sensível a agressão física, bullying e etc recomendo pensar duas vezes antes de assistir. Mas é um dorama ótimo.
Quebrei 6 unhas assistindo, de tanta agonia e ansiedade. Mas valeram a pena.
Enfim, recomendo muito e estou muito ansiosa para a próxima temporada.

Park Ji Hoon is ahead of his time

I’m not into heavy violence but made an exception this time. i don’t very often watch highschool dramas but also made an exception this time. this is a really good story - the characters are fleshed out and the actors really brought life to them. PJH is ahead of his time. I think he is 22 or 23 in Season 1 - and his acting chops are like that of someone in their mid to upper 30’s. I love his character so much so that I wished happiness for him but I’m afraid he’ll have to graduate HS before he finds it because HS is definitely not going to be remembered as the good old days for him.
hats off to the whole cast and crew!!!
the fight scenes are very realistic - too realistic for me, but like I said I made an exception. I doubt that I will rewatch this one for that reason.
