Poor Yeong Bin Got Wrecked for No Reason at the end ?
From the very first moment, I was completely hooked. What I loved the most was Si Eun’s straightforward personality, and the friendship between the three of them was truly beautiful—until one of them completely lost it and ruined everything.Honestly, I really wanted to see Beom Seok get beaten up badly. Everything was way too easy for him. I mean, Su Ho is lying in a hospital bed in a coma while this guy is just out there living his life. Poor Si Eun lost everything because of that jerk Beom Seok.
But I have to admit, it was extremely satisfying to see Si Eun beat the hell out of those guys at the end. And poor Yeong Bin… yes, he started the whole mess, but during the final attack he actually wasn’t even involved, yet he still got destroyed like the rest of them—honestly, I couldn’t help but laugh. I finished the whole drama in a single sitting, and it was absolutely incredible.

does justice to the webtoon
i have already finished the webtoon which consists of 266 chapters....this adaptation is the best....and one little thing for you'll that the real story haven't even begun yet......this was the back story to how a normal student becomes a badass one....the main story will start and the school he is transferred to now...the Eunjang.....and considering how great the webtoon itself is...there is content available of like 4 - 5 season minimum.....lets hope that they make it right...also interested people can read the webtoon ...it is really captivating....just a little changes in names have been made...that in drama he is si-eun yeon while in webtoon he is Gray yeon...other that that everything is just on point....hell I remember when I started this webtoon I was so eagerly waiting for someone to make its adaptation.....I even messaged some of the animation studios in hopes that they would make it....Was this review helpful to you?

After watching Season 1 and 2 more than twice, here’s my review of the drama:
Let’s talk about the story:
A simple student in a school full of bullies (they’re not changing a winning formula). Other students constantly messing with him. Episode 1 is explosive the moment he smashes the guy’s face with a notebook, +20 hits, I literally counted them I loved it.Season 1 has some really strong opponents: from classmates to gang members, all the way up to the gang leader. Plus the original antagonist who really pisses you off by the end of the season by sending someone from the group (I won’t spoil the name). That antagonist ends up becoming a huge victim and has to ask for help. Overall, Season 1’s story is TOP tier!
The actors? Nothing to criticize they’re incredible!
The fight scenes are intense, exactly how we like them!
eng is not my first lang so sorry if i made some error in my text

I really REALLY like this show
Other than the great casting, the show itself is just, muah, chef's kiss. The emotions that are portrayed feel so real and is conveyed very well by the actors.
Other than that, it doesnt feel corny or copied like other shows can feel, it instead feels very unique and original (I know it's based on a webtoon, but ykwim)
Moreover the open ending left off so well to introduce season 2 even though I'm sad that Choi hyun wook will be in that season. I look forward to seeing more of this show and it's definetely a great and thrilling watch!
I recommend strongly, on my mother, it's amazing!

WOW, seriously so impressive by everything - the acting, story, OST, everything
im loving the bromance so much between si eun and si ho, the building of the story plot and character is so realistic. kinda upset with the ending, but that also just shows how realistic the real world is. though, the ending is not gonna stop me from giving a 10/10 rating. I LOVE IT.Si Eun acting is honestly so good, just found out he's from wanna one and im surprised.
P/S. going into weak hero class season 2 right now, after finishing season 1! i hope it doesn't disappoint.

Perfection
My usual kdrama genre is romance and crime involved thriller so this whole fight club was new.Be warned, you inner demons crawl out and you grin madly as violence ensues on screen.
Mine did as I screamed "punch, again!!!" (I'm OK, I'm therapy)
The choreography, the cinematography, the inability to stop yourself binge watching. It's got it. Acting was 10++
The only reason for the 9.5 is because someone really deserved a sever beating... But didn't get it *grrr*
Other than that it was satisfying drama definitely worth the rewatch.

Gritty and brilliant
They say usually the source material is usually better than the movie production - that is not the case here. The series is as good, if not better than the webtoon, with outstanding acting and great plot. Jihoon did a really great portrayal of his character, so much so it's hard to tell he's an idol actor. I watched the drama twice in one sitting when it came out and am on the edge of my seat for Season 2.The ending of the first episode is shocking and unexpected. The rest of the show is exactly like that - the plot does not disappoint.

MY FAVOURITE
i literally loved jihoon and hyunwook here. my favourite duo omg, and the ost at the start? i loved it so much. the coma scene made me cry 😭 I love love love love this. it's difficult to comprehend how much i liked it, it was intense and omg jihoon's acting? hes my favourite now. i see pen different now after him omg, i don't think ive seen someone act as well as him. i could tell how he was feeling without him speaking a single word. beomseok got on my nerves and i had to remind myself that he's just a charcter and not real 😭 i understand where he came from but oh boy was it horrible, the most complex charcter. i really wanna know what happened to him at end???Was this review helpful to you?
The Symphony of Silence and Concrete: Why Weak Hero Class 1 Is a Tragic Masterpiece.
Most high school dramas treat youth as a vibrant canvas of possibility, but Weak Hero Class 1 paints it as an oppressive, concrete cage. While casual viewers praise the series for its visceral action sequences, the show’s true brilliance lies in its quieter moments—the suffocating silences, the hollow gazes, and the devastating psychological warfare that exists long before a single punch is thrown.Structurally, the eight-episode format functions as a masterclass in tight, economic storytelling. It completely avoids the narrative bloat typical of the genre by focusing intensely on the micro-shifts within its central trio. The story doesn't rely on massive plot twists; instead, it uses meticulous foreshadowing and tragic narrative parallels. The writing treats violence not as cheap shock value, but as an inescapable language forced upon teenagers who have been utterly abandoned by the adult world.
This thematic weight succeeds entirely because of the staggering nuance in the performances. As Yeon Shi-eun, Park Ji-hoon delivers a masterfully understated performance. In a role that could easily have become a one-note caricature of a cold genius, Park uses his remarkably expressive eyes to convey a volcanic reservoir of repressed trauma and quiet desperation. He is brilliantly balanced by Choi Hyun-wook, who injects a necessary, organic levity into the bleakness, and Hong Kyung, whose slow, agonizing descent into moral corruption is the most compelling character study of the year. Together, they expose the raw, fragile vulnerability of boyhood—capturing the desperate desire to belong that can easily twist into malice when met with isolation.
Every technical element reinforces this emotional paralysis. The brilliant, moody cinematography favors cold, washed-out tones that make the classrooms feel like prison cells, while the exceptional soundtrack evokes a profound sense of teenage listlessness. The music doesn't just score the scenes; it captures the internal despair of characters drowning in a broken system.
Ultimately, Weak Hero Class 1 is a rare, devastating triumph. It rejects clean moral compasses and easy closures, delivering instead an honest, haunting exploration of how violence inevitably begets violence. By prioritizing profound psychological depth over superficial action tropes, it doesn't just entertain—it leaves an indelible bruise on the viewer’s psyche.

This was sooo good the actors played their characters well especially park ji hoon like when he slapped himself I felt it.Beom seok was a prick with a inferiority complex who took out his family problems and his insecurities on others.
Si eun was a psycho and I loved it the look in his eyes was perfect to show how much of a psycho he is. At least he's a good friend who fought for hi friends unlike Beom seok
Soo ho is such a good friend who will do whatever it takes to protect his friends and I love that.
I'm convinced that the bullies had nothing to do with their lives so they bully kids whom they feel inferior to (most talking about yeong bin)
The only problem I have with this drama is that it is too short I need more soo I can protect my sanity. If the directors don't release a season 2 we gonna fight. I highly recommend this drama to ppl who like this kind of genre and those who don't like this kind of genre this series may be an opening to this genre

Ugly stories of violence with little redeeming value
Really ugly story of violence and no redeeming aspect to it.The silent hero was supposed to use his smarts but not much was intelligent in the characters decisions.
The violence was over the top and unrealistic in terms of recovery from injuries.
Written for young frustrated males that might not question poor writing as long as violence is the centerpiece?
I can’t stand super quiet characters that as supposed to be a hero when they are bad examples in life and obviously making the wrong choices in life with unrealistic outcomes.
