A beautiful romanctic story
this is my first time writing a proper review..then you should know how much i loved it. the last drama i love this much was hidden love. then i was waiting for a perfect drama and finally found this one. writing this before completing the drama ... will update when completed ,about the ending..hope it makes me satisfied.And i did not properly give my attention to the music of this drama so just ramdomly rating that part only. if it is really good someone please rocommend.thanks in advance.

Disappointing for me.(:
You know that feeling when, after watching a series, you regret that you started watching it? So this is exactly my case. I'm quite surprised how many people love it and how highly rated it is online. It was too slow and boring. Chemistry of the main characters nothing-much. Wrong choice of the main actress. I find her so childish, emotionally immature! The series suffers from many boring parts, individual episodes could have been cut into the usual half-hour pieces. Somewhere after the eleventh episode, I simply gave up on the series. I'm sorry, I don't like to write bad reviews and I usually try to cover it up but....Was this review helpful to you?

A MUST WATCH DRAMA
The actors really portray their roles very well. Again a must watch drama from China. Proud of Wu Lei and Jin Mai and all other casts. Thank you for sharing us a beautiful love story and a passion for something that you love.Playing snooker was not something everyone known, but in this drama you will see the how passion and hardwork can play magic in one's lives.
I like also the main characters. A very cold and sad man meets the sweet and charming girl in the middle of a snowstorm. To be able to have a long distance relationship while being truthful to each other, and keeping in love are something that I wanted to experience (though not for long distance relationship, kidding).
The chemistry is so good. You can see the new side of how good Leo Wu as a sweet young man. A greenest among all man. You will see how gorgeous and charming Jin Mai here and the way she act. They are all really good at this drama.
Congratulations to writers, directors, actors and
all crews for making this drama a hit. You make everyone happy for sharing this kind of love story.

"Amidst a snowstorm of love "
This is a feel good drama.Full of positivity.Really liked the locations of shooting.Still it gives me chills.Also its interesting to watch the competition part. I loved the drama name very very much , its really very heart touching.The love between the male lead and female lead is pure. I feel empty now and don't know what to watch for single people like me.This drama was everything going through depression.Watching them, I was smiling, blushing, and kicking air.I love their chemistry. Lin Yi Yang tops the list of green flags; he is the guy we know we won't get in this generation❣️ When he said I like you,I love you, the word I want to marry you was attach with it.They look so good with each other want to watch them in another drama too.I will miss them going to rewatch again❣️Was this review helpful to you?

Cozy and Comforting
I will be honest. As the title suggests, this is a love story so please don't expect action or drama since that will lead to only disappointment. As for me, this was exactly what I was looking for. This is a healing and comfort drama. I was seriously anticipating some of these after the whole gruesome era of sad endings and thrillers. If you are looking for something thrilling or suspenseful then this one is not for you, it has a simple storyline that kinda reminds me of Skating into Love. It has a nice and refreshing concept. This is one of the best dramas I have watched this year after My Demon and Doctor Slump which is still ongoing. I genuinely love how realistic their relationship felt. I love how nicely scripted this drama is, it shows all the aspects of the struggle an individual faces in a foreign country as well as the fact that he helped her so much coz he liked her nevertheless he would have helped her even If she was an ordinary citizen from his home country is so touching and wholesome. The way their relationship progresses and how she helps him overcome his long-term trauma. I love how supportive they are of each other and it shows in their eyes how much they love each other. I seriously question If a guy as amazing as Lin exists. Guo was amazing as well, she knows what she wants and goes for it. Overall, the story was amazing and it was portrayed well. I gave this one a 9 and even wrote a review coz I love both the leads and I am a bit biased towards them, maybe I wouldn't have given it an almost full rating If the actors were different but then again that would change the whole thing. I have been their fan for a long time. I have known Leo Wu since I was a kid lol and I got to know Jinmai a couple of years ago. I have been waiting for this drama for quite a long time and I have to say, I am satisfied. The OST seems pretty normal in the beginning but it grew on me later. In terms of storyline, the artists and acting are really good and the feelings are really conveyed well.
It's a shame that many episodes were cut. It's not enough just 30 episodes.
It seems like no other drama can replace this drama. I feel like there will be something missing when watching other dramas after watching this drama.
For me, in the modern drama category, the one that takes first place forever is Admist a Snowstorm of Love

Good chemistry simple plot
This is a show that you should watch when you have nothing to watch in particular. You can just do your other chores while watching it in background. It is slowburn but pleasing especially in the beginning. There are all the normal tropes like family drama, sizzling chemistry, beautiful cast, foreign location, good score...yet it lacks in storyline. You will feel it after sometime. In the beginning you will be in trance the way FL and ML interact and believe me it is pretty real. Every little interaction, those subtle fidgeting moves and talking through eyes will definitely melt your heart but that is all. What lacked for me- I do not really connect with this sport (snooker/billiards ) first of all. For me it is a rich people's game like golf and I just don't feel any sports vibe from it. There is no adrenaline that you usually feel in this genre. Plus side cast is as usual pretty bland. They are there so that they can play the cupid for main lead. I was especially irked with FL's brother the way he was so obsessed with ML especially in the beginning, if they had put a bl tag I would have totally believed his actions in that way. Let me tell you NO BROTHER in this world would behave like that the way he was behaving. He was literally forcing the ship between his sis and ML. Anyway, you can give it a go to see the chemistry, or if you are the fans of main leads or just to enjoy beautiful location of Finland. There is nothing amazing or boring about it. Wasted Talent
I decided to drop this drama after watching the 6th episode as I was bored out of my mind. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Wu Lei having watched his previous dramas in Nirvana in Fire, The Long Ballad, Nothing But you and Love like the Galaxy, but even my fondness for him was not enough to sustain my interest in such a flat storyline.What kept me going past the 1st episode was my anticipation and hope that the story would pick up and offer something more complex and interesting, but sadly what I see so far is more scenes of OCD-stalkerish Lin Yiyang with major hangups and a bruised ego finding solace in the warmth of a shy, impressionable, sheltered Yin Guo. The only thing that seems to progress is their deepening level of physical intimacy, from cold-staring, knee-bumping, head-stroking, hugging, full on kissing etc. The other characters appear rather insignificant because most of the screen and script time is taken up mostly by the relationship between these 2 characters. I know it's primarily meant to be a sweet romance drama, but honestly I was hoping for something more sophisticated than regular plain vanilla. After all, it's Wu Lei!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels disappointed with this drama so far..

Boring
High expectations but after 7 episodes of boring seeing them walking but going nowhere i cannot find interesting story. No real conversations between the couple . Boring story . depressing. No beautiful scenery no cool snooker moves or anything. Not funny or romantic of maybe very slow start and maybe it will become better later but cannot find myself like the other reviews of captivating from first scene or whatever.really one full disappointing drama

I started watching ASSOL without any background information. At the beginning of the first episode, I thought that the blizzard city could be from Finland (by default, some place in China). After a while, I realized that the series was partly filmed in Finland. The cities of Helsin and Hel(l) in the story is Helsinki. Thus, as a Finn, the interest in drama rose all at once.The drama itself is very slow-paced, yet it absorbs with its narrative. The male lead in his role is very convincing. The female lead is certainly a talented actress, but the image of women in Chinese dramas is annoying, to say the least, from such a European perspective. This time, shyness has been taken to extremes. Extra points for the following points: Due to Arctic conditions, this time there has been no need to look at the microskirts of female actors. In addition, the number of soft toys is kept to a minimum.
