this had so much potential....
the beginning was good but this show over time became kinda pointless... the whole time girl is tryingto save him from what? her father who gave up after they had a one minute argument about it. There was almost no romantic interactions between main two leads, only thing that was romantic was when he was in hospital and the last clip of the show.... if you think him following her is romantic you are in some weird shit. At some points i even forgot who was the "main couple". Honestly kinda waste of time but it was short so i continued watching till the end. Cast attractive but their acting was really cringy im sorry if u love these actorsWas this review helpful to you?

Vampire Drama Gone Horribly Wrong, Could Have Been Better
Song Meu Ru, born with special blood has classmates Son Yeon Seo, Yoon Chi Woo who are vampires. Also Do Hyun Jae, a werewolf managing their school store. To start neither the story or acting was strong enough. Maybe expecting logic is foolish in fantasy genre. But this had no explanation or anything. The plot was too weak and seemed tacky. You can't accept this in 2021. If it was 10-20 years back, it would be somehow acceptable. Storytelling and direction was weak too. Only the OST's were nice.
The cast was fresh. Most of them just debuted. Only Kim Ji Woong as Yoon Chi Woo did a noticeable job despite that over the top vampire makeup and matrix coat look. Others were barely noticeable.
If you have absolutely nothing to watch. Just want to skim through any drama. This is it, a lite version of Vampire Diaries.

Sinking Your Teeth Into " The Sweet Blood"; Too “Sickly” For Its Own Good?...
Undeniably an intriguing concept, “ The Sweet Blood” did have the potential to be a fairly well-rounded web series with original characters and storyline. However, this series simply becomes its own worst enemy with poor-production value in screenwriting, sets and acting .
The acting quality in " The Sweet Blood" is questionable to say the least. It was not unwatchable per say, however , there were certainly dire line deliverances worryingly throughout the series by the main cast consisting of Chae Yun, Eo Jun and Ji Woong. ( As well as the ridiculous amount of makeup plastered onto Ji Woong’s face in scenes.)
By default, Yeon Seo as a character should have been a well-written female lead. She could have had a profound backstory, a likeable personality as well as having conflicted beliefs as someone stuck between human and supernatural societies. Instead, " The Sweet Blood" reduced Yeon Seo to nothing more than an angst-ridden teenager (rather than a seeming immortal), self-inserted into a formulaic love triangle ( square if you wish to include Do Hyun Je) with lacking character development. Even a potentially intriguing side-storyline (regarding Yeon Seo’s relationship with her mother), was disregarded nearly entirely from the series.
Then there’s our main lead Meo Ru; the foundation of Yeon Seo’s love triangle. Throughout the series, Meo Ru rarely seems to ineffably be unfazed by the supernatural, he is absent-minded enough to put himself in danger countless times for the sake of "plot" (despite Yeon Seo’s warnings ) and seems unable to develop emotionally as a consequence. Even more intriguing elements to his character such as his visions and his actual involvement as " The One" were often half- heartedly thrown in near the ending of the series . (And even then, rarely had an active role.)
Following on from Meo Ru, was Yoon Chi Woo; the second male lead of the series. Yeon Seo’s old flame and a dangerous vampire who seemingly poses both a threat to Meo Ru as well as being "unpredictable", Chi Woo was undeniably an intriguing character. However, his greatest flaw came through his half-baked romance with Yeon Seo.
Despite the constant references towards Yeon Seo and Chi Woo’s " days together", there was no sense of actual significance of this relationship either through flashbacks, memories or accounts by either character. This also contributed to the lackadaisical vampire lore of the web series by the adequate detail with both characters’ backstories also.
Sadly, not even the side characters could make up for this with many side characters being thrown in as " quick fixes "for tension, rather than being entirely necessary for the plot.Do Hyun Je ( Cho Eun Ho), the Vatican’s werewolf ( not even kidding with this one) who ( for reasons unknown to most characters and viewers)seemed to like Yeon Seo. ( Admittedly, there was an arguable reason, but the revelation felt more like a rushed solution to erase the " fourth component for a love square", than actually an intriguing part of his character.) Then there’s Yeon Seo’s best-friend Kim Su Jeong ( Yoon Da Young) who is oblivious for a major part of the series to the supernatural, is dragged ineffably into supernatural scenarios for plot development and her later reactions are just lazily-written .
Adding to this, the seeming " threat" of Yeon Seo’s father as a "big bad" near the end of the series, should have been a decisive story moment , but instead, was anticlimactic and lacked development. ( Despite his intriguing paternal bond by blood *no pun intended* with Yeon Seo.) The ending wasn’t bad per say, but it was obviously a quick and thrown-in solution without any sense of completion or at least a cliffhanger to finally wrap up the web series .
So, what’s the best way to describe this web series and is it actually worth watching ? This entirely depends what you’re looking for in a web series. A quick binge-watch for something which is trope-filled and a time saver from a 16-hour drama? Then, yes. A well-written, original web series with good acting and casting decisions alongside an engaging OST? Then, it is advisable to look elsewhere because " The Sweet Blood" isn’t it.

At least the outfits are good.
When I saw the drama was about vampires I got really excited to watch this. Turns out all my excitement was for nothing. At some point, I only remembered it was about vampires because they kept telling us so. They felt like regular humans who boast about not being regular humans. What I can say about the story is that it all was for nothing. There isn't really any consequence for any of the character's actions, or any good action scene for that matter. Plus, everything happened in a rush. I feel like every plot point they had was abandoned and left unresolved.
The last episode was too boring (yes, even more than the previous ones), so I can't even leave the drama with a last good impression of it.
The acting was also underwhelming and didn't save the show at all. The music is also... forgettable?
Overall, I felt like it could at least be more enjoyable if it went in a complete different direction and decided to develop the characters and the story a bit better, even with the short episodes. All it would take was a good time management.

Wanna be Vampire Diaries
it's really cheap primitive drama, only reason to watch - it's really short and you wont waste much time.also FL and SML are beautiful.
there is noting logical or realistic (I know it's fantasy but still)
someone wrote in review that SML bad boy vampire is like Damon from Vampire diaries and Eric from True Blood, but this character is really poor imitation, though these tv series where filmed 10 years ago and that one is airing now.... why can't they develop more? Though this SML is handsome, his makeup and clothes are too much, I even felt cringe when looking at him - he has makeup like cabaret dancer and is dressed like 80-90s cool guy from movie.
P.S. when I wrote it thought something could be interesting in this series, but it's worst then I could imagine, "troubles" are so out of nowhere and silly, everything is so silly and cheap...But "romance" is most silly and worst unbelievable in whole drama history ))))))))) I dont know why I completed though even this short series I practically skipped 90%, but even this little time was wasted...

Could've been better, but it's not that bad
Let start this review by saying that this was a decent, short drama where we had the breakthrough of one actor, decent female lead and decent side characters. The story is nothing new, but it was easy to follow. If you've watched the Twillight series before, you'll find some things that are kind of off and make no sense, just like in the original. They really went ham on the makeup, the contact lenses. Like I wrote in the comments earlier, they tried to make some anime characters come to life. The effects were funny when they had a fight. And yes, from time to time it was cringy to watch, but if you pass all the things I've said before, it is not that bad of a drama. Probably could've been like 5 episodes and be done with it, but they decided to stretch it for 15 episodes, which is ... Okay, so would i recommend this to someone? Probably no, but If you are interested in watching this, give it a go, it's decent, easy to follow, decent actors, and some what decent acting.

Not What I Expected But LMAO Anyway
So I kinda expected Son Yeon Seo and Song Meo Ru to ACTUALLY run away, so it was a little disappointing that it didn't happen. But, the drama was pretty interesting. I mean, you got a 118 year-old girl looking like she 17 just trying to graduate. Suddenly she's involved with another student because he's "The One", whatever the heck THAT meant. Honestly, the whole "The One" thing was the only thing I didn't understand whatsoever.Son Yeon Seo is very closed off to herself, but I think she has enough patience to interact with people as long as they do it first. Song Meo Ru was very childish through the show, which was cute. He's very innocent, so him being "The One" was kind of weird, but it was still okay. Yoon Chi Woo was very...bold. He was bisexual, and it was cool because you'll literally NEVER see characters like that, much less second-male-lead. I felt bad for him when he got upset at Son Yeon Seo not having the same feelings as he did, but really think about it. What he did was creepy. Kim Su Jeong. This girl is self-centered when it comes to which boys like her. At the end, what she did to Ha Jin Seo was surprising. Ha Jin Seo, I don't really know what to say about him other than he's really lucky to get a girl like Kim Su Jeong.

The synopsis sounds promising. The end result was not.
On reading the synopsis of this series it sounded soo promising to me that I decided to give it a go. I mean, I'm a fan of vampire movies/series. So imagine my dissapointment in completing this series.Story-7/10
I honestly was going to give this like a 6 or a 6.5, cause the storyline was a bit draggy and I felt like it was losing my attention in some of the episodes. However, the last episode threw a curve ball at me that I actually didn't see coming. But it doesn't solve the big bad issue in the series as both Son Yeon Seo and Yoon Chi Woo doesn't know who the big bad is. And that annoyed me. Cause it ends AND THEY DON'T KNOW IT'S HIM!!!!
Acting/Cast-6.5/10
It really wasn't that excellent per say and then they are given a script that is kinda week as well. Yeah, thier acting couldn't have saved this series, I'm sorry.
Music-6/10
It was okay, I guess. It's not really sticking in my head, so it's not really that memorable except for one song.
Rewatch Valu-4/10
I doubt that I would come back to watch this series. I mean, if I do comeback to it, it will be mostly for Kim Ji Woong's character. And I ain't got no shame in saying that.
Overall-6/10
Overall I give this series a 6. I actually don't see myself recommending this for people to watch. I mean, I basically forgot this series and bing watched the last three episodes. That's the impact that this series had on me.

Good Enough
Korean Drama "Sweet Blood" would probably have more appeal a decade ago, when Twilight was at the top of the pop culture, and vampire stories sprout out from everywhere. Now, they are considered a past trend and a bit cliche, especially if they are not handled with care. And, unfortunately, and although the drama had potential, it didn't ride the wave of strong episodes such as the first ones and blow off towards the ending. The beginning of the drama, first of all, was quite intriguing. The story about the half human, her sassy fiance, the vinery business and the one myth were all pretty interesting. Unfortunately, everything resolved way too easily, which robs the satisfaction of the ending. The romance was weak as well, with just a few moments in the ending to support the whole love story and a one sided puppy love for the rest of the drama. That also ruined the love triangle, as the weak main couple did not support well the antagonistic plotlines.
Another major factor that made the drama look old, in addition, was the make up. White canvases with over the top red lips that screamed 'vampire' from miles were too much and made the drama look like a badly made tv movie, something that, otherwise, was not.
Finally, the performances from the actors and actresses of the cast were all great and the characters quite enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

The plot was not very complicated or original, but it was decent for a short little drama. The ending was a bit weird to me, I didn't get the resolution was there until we simply moved on and the show ended, I kept expecting more. The ending is also pretty cheesy and full of plot holes, unanswered questions, etc. The show also spends a lot of the last episode with side characters that barely got any screen time in the rest of the episode for some reason.
As for the characters, they're not very original or ground breaking, but the actors make the best of the somewhat lacking script and are overall pretty nice.
Overall, it was very middle of the road, nothing to write home about, but a fun quick drama to watch if you want a fun vampire drama that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Utterly Disappointing
I was looking for a light, quick, easy binge. I found series this b/c of YouTube video this weekend with cute boys as the backdrop (that's my weakness), so I wanted to watch, plus the 10 min per ep run time was not too bad. However, this show went from breezily fun and interesting to just plain stupid in a matter of 8 episodes. The last 2 episode could have been left out completely. Actually, quite annoyed b/c I really enjoyed the first 8-10 episodes for the most part but the ML, Meo Ru became too stupid to live. He's the first guy I've ever had to say that about. and everything else went downhill fast. Nothing but nonsensical dialogue and behavior from the entire cast.
No real character development.
No real story development.
I am utterly disappointed.
