Extremely satisfied

Honestly I like this story it's like a breath of fresh air, quick and short and yet it's very refreshing. Most historical cdramas are tragic and full of pain and depression. Basically they're not for the faint hearted. Even if I'm a bit "braver" than others. I too get tired of those long, stupid, illogical, time consuming and complicated dramas. Therefore even though their acting and story was generally average. It's worth it especially if you've been watching a lot of historical dramas with unhappy endings.

Absolutely recommend, for people like me that is. If you're looking for a drama to relax, chill and cool down from all those other scheming and complex dramas.

Well then this is the drama for you ;)

It’s cute, funny and just hits your happy spot!

I enjoyed this show more than I thought I would. It packed a punch for just 12 30 minute episodes. No fillers, no boring parts, it was fantastic on just how simple it is.

This is a good pick up if you are tired of watching really heavy drama with plot twists here and there and want a break.

The story is nothing new, but the actors delivered. The FL is not only pretty but is really funny. Her acting was on point, she was so fun to watch. I am looking forward to seeing her in more dramas. The ML wasn’t too bad either.
Overall, not a bad 6 hours spent, not to mention the ending was satisfying!

The storyline was cute. I believe that some of the actors and actresses were not made for this storyline. Although, most did well. I was impressed with the Lead actor Huang Tian Qi who played a dual part. I'm glad there was a few martial arts parts but not enough. I wished the writer did more with this script. The set, the visual were okay. The costumes were beautiful. I love the perky music. Thank you to all that was part of this storyline. I'm not saying that I didn't like it but I am saying that it was okay and cute.

This is a very cute and fun miniseries for viewers looking for a breath of fresh air storyline that is simple and fast paced. The main cast did a good job delivering their characters and, although some actors need improvement, the drama was still fun to watch. The romance is light, fluffy, and sometimes frivolous. The leading couple has a good, enjoyable chemistry that was pleasant to watch. The female lead is really funny and, although the drama is not grand, it is certainly entertaining. Enjoy it!

Short & Sweet

I gave it an 8. it's a perfect historical romance comedy.
not too funny, not too serious. good storyline.. I think it needed one more episode. the last episode was a bit rushed but it was still really good. it had a perfect ending for the story

The chemistry between the leads was very cute. I appreciated the minimal household fighting.

the show is very balanced which is always great so we don't get frustrated. The villains weren't taking over the show.

I'd definitely recommend watching this when you need a break from the trauma (lol) of Asian Dramas and need something lighthearted with a bit of action.

A Surprisingly Hilarious Comedy Series

I think this is a goofy comedy gem of a show! I was not expecting this series to be as funny as it was so I was caught a bit off guard when I watched it without any context for the first time. It was a pleasant surprise. Now, I crack up laughing during every episode each time I re-watch it... and I'll probable re-watch it every time I need a break from the heart wrenching shows/movies that I normally watch.

This show has its good guys, bad guys (you love to hate), drama, action, and romance like other Chinese Historical dramas, but with a comedic twist. The animated graphics and sounds added to emphasize the humor combined with the side take commentary moments of the main female character are just too funny for words. Think old school Batman TV show (1966-1968) with the all the POW's blended with Ally McBeal show (1997-2002) imagination side takes, but with an Asian humor twist. I really enjoyed this series and it would be nice to have more series similar to it. Granted, the last 3 episodes aren'tas funny as the rest, but they do wrap up the shows plot.

If you want a good laugh... give "Meet You" a try. I'm recommending to to all my Asian Drama friends!

Nice

The worst part of the story is that China forced by the victors to repel its opium prohibition. By 1858, 70,000 chests were coming into China per year, bringing in some 4,500 tons of opium. That’s the same amount of opium produced in the entire world in 2016.
The Qing Dynasty fell in 1911. By that time there were 90 million opium addicts in China out of a population of 300 million. The century that followed the First Opium War is known is China as the bainian guochi (百年國恥, lit. the Century of Humiliation).
